I hope we get a new sponsor, but there is no point in starting the competition sooner in my opinion. Major leagues will only resume in August, so for me, if we can start the competition in July it's fine because I enjoy participating in it, but if we only do it in August I really don't see any problem, and it would probably be even better to give time to arrange things, create a live leaderboard if we get a sponsor etc.

Since we are in transition, I really don't see any problem in starting only at August. Enough time for the transition, if we have it, and just in time for the Major Leagues to start!

for example, if we talk about football, the month of July it's full of friendly matches, and short competition. Also starts some national league, like from east europe...
But without a sponsor only in one month is really hard set up all things for a good competition.
So if we can start @August will be a really good results for all of us. Any idea for the new sponsor?

Well if we go solo, I don't think that will be possible, since players would be able to bet on any sports book.
To keep a live leaderboard we will need to be associated with a sports book, so that the tracking can be done automatically, like it was on directbet.

Make sure people aren't faking bets and odds if they can use any sportbook might be a problem

DirectBet was very good to us, but we are doing our best to find a great new sponsor, tyoA7X.

The name of the competition itself will likely remain the same, however: "Tipster Competition" - the "sponsored by" bit in the thread title will need changing, of course.

in the last competition there was a lot of people that start to use DB for their first time.
we must find a sponsor, because it's a good promo for every bookmaker.
and if you check the final balance (price included) book always wins, because it's full of people that can reach a + ROI.
we need wait for a sponsor, because it's impossible fund by ourself.

I understand your suggestion, but like I said before, related to another idea for the Hall Of Fame, since it's so hard to be there, it should really serve as an incentive for itself. Also I do think that directbet was more than generous during these XII editions!

As for the tittle we will change it as soon as we start a new edition (the XII Tipster Championship was sponsored by directbet, so the tittle is correct).

Well, the next competition was planned to start at the 1st of July, so let's use that time for now, to try to get a new sponsor, since prizes and the overall experience should of course be better when running this with a sponsor. With all the major leagues going on holidays right now, there isn't much to bet anyway.

Give us some time, and I think we will be able to come back with good news!
