So, when will you start directly solving the problems that have been accumulated here by Freebitco? You will best show your authenticity if you start solving user complaints like from the thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64284099

It's been a while and we don't see any significant reaction from your side, I would say a new account but old habits.

I will tag you neutrally for the beginning, I hope you will move and start to clean up the problems.

You could look at it the other way, he can win only once which leaves the 9 other places for the more random lucky winners even those who dont have many tickets.   I know its not likely but still thinking I'll be one of those guys winning with 91 tickets one day and I often have tens of thousands of lottery tickets so surely it'll have me on the cards one time.

The time out issue I saw but also it did load after that.  Any access issue has to be investigated to help ensure its not reoccurring.

I clicked play all on the spins but it stopped about half way through which I dont mind completely.  I got 3 extra GT from using up spins which is alright and even a golden ticket from just a singular spin just after.    I wont use them all up as price still threatens to move down a little more.  I'm not fearing a bigger move currently.

On the one hand, the huge difference in the number of tickets between the first-place user and the fourth-place user in this round is striking. On the other hand, it looks like the guy who won the previous round of the Lambo lottery is back, which means that other users will have almost no chance to win either the daily jackpot or the weekly lottery.

Here's a recap on what I gathered of the Freebitco.in situation:

  • People got hacked and their deposit/withdraw address manipulated.
    • The costumer support replied with: "nah bro, everything is fine, we thoroughly checked, must have been the wind a virus."
  • TheQuin, which used to be the official costumer support of freebitco.in for the longest time, disappeared leaving the site without support for months.
    • The costumer support said that he's now focusing on the fun part of the business (fraud prevention) and that they are hiring a professional team
  • There were hiccups where withdrawals and emails wouldn't go through for a couple of days.
    • The costumer support disclosed that it was an issue with their mailing servers and that after giving it time to clear the backlog everything would return to normal.
      • Everything did in fact return to normal.
  • Somewhere among this this thread got flagged as "high risk".
  • The new user CSFBC appeared and declared that he was now taking care of the costumer support, the professional team is here, ready to restore the law in this town support and assist with all your questions. (These guys use extensive boilerplate and corporate speech in their messages. Is it and improvement over the frequently overly rude TheQuin messages? You decide!)
    • The costumer support hasn't commented since the 20th of June, after two whole days of hard work, they at least seem to be alive logging in at least once a day.
  • The cold storage wallet is still not officially disclosed, but a community member found this multichain portfolio, whose bitcoins didn't have much movement for ~a year until a couple of days ago. A good portion of the BTCs seem to have been converted to interest bearing ETH. (Is it an investment play? Are they risking our deposits? Nothing bad with a "side-hustle" with all that cash, I would just love some transparency)
    • The costumer support said that he would look into the status of upgrading the wallet system.
  • People have reported not receiving the free Wheel Of Fortune spins despite holding FUN tokens on the website.
    • The costumer support didn't comment on this
  • The "logout" button a the top right corner doesn't work and probably hasn't been working for a while. It feels like the website has no developers behind it, and it's slowly falling apart...
    • The costumer support didn't comment on this

Did I miss anything?

As a side note, I have again withdrawn all my BTC from the site. Better safe than sorry.
I wanted to remain positive as far as possible because Freebitco is the website that got me introduced to Bitcoin and it's also the website that I have been trusting for almost a decade but today the situation is very different. The owner doesn't even visit a forum. Does it really take that much to visit this forum for a second? TheQuin doesn't also care to visit this forum and at least tell us something. Only their marketing team and freshly hired support team come here. I had a hope of their support team but the support hasn't even posted since 20 June.
Conclusion: Don't trust Freebitco, the owners don't care. It is abandoned.

P.S. You summarized everything perfectly.

... The site has been super slow. Sometimes disappearing for a few minutes. Not fun to play dice when a roll takes 30-60 seconds. ...

Yeah same here and I've been getting a bad gateway error intermittently.

A thorough review of the website found no issues. It's probably a virus or plugin I installed :/
Well, aside you possibly installing some kind of software or plug-ins that could have caused you to experience this, i would also love to mention that issues like this are still normal and can affect any site, big or small, most especially when there is some kind of work going on in the backend; speculations like this can arise if the team didn't beforehand; announce that an update or upgrade will be happening.

Anyways, just trying to let you know that such issue can also be from freebitco's end actually, since it states that your browser and your internet connection are OK, it's probably a server issue, but I believe it's already fixed long ago.

Hey folks, How are you all? The WOF spins are arriving. I think the bug is being fixed or fixed already. I think I'm getting the missed spins too I guess. If anything wrong happens, I'll report here again. Till then, take care folks.  Smiley

Wasn't it a better option to wait for the BTC price to drop and then spend your WOF spins? Then you would get more RP,BTC

Maybe a lot of users have withdrawn their BTC from Freebitco after the recent issues. As a result, they have decided to swap the BTC into ETH. Freebitco team have already taken out all the BTC and ETH from the interest bearing Aave network. The APY rate seems better for Aave interest bearing WETH than Aave interest bearing WBTC. But it's a bit mysterious that they aren't transferring the ETH into the interest bearing network.

The current Aave WETH and Aave WBTC tokens in their wallet are still interest bearing tokens, they just have a different name depending on which version of Aave you are on. They migrated their tokens a few days ago from Aave V2 to Aave V3.

So they risk their funds in other investments to gain profits, a very risky step and actually this is like a warning to their users who still have large funds here because if the investment turns out to be a failure it will affect their finances and also impact their users, not being scary but Crypto investments are the most uncertain of the future and full of painful surprises.

The yield paid for locking up FUN tokens or holding BTC on the site must come from somewhere. They could still have enough BTC in cold storage to cover the amount in users’ balances and are using the profits they’ve made to earn some passive income.

Doge is a meme coin and was only meant as a joke.
Dogecoin is a classic meme coin and can be considered as a pioneer for meme coin branch in cryptocurrency market but Dogecoin is different than meme tokens nowadays.

First and most important, Dogecoin is a Proof of Work cryptocurrency. Meme tokens nowadays are not Proof of Work, they are based on blockchains like Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Solana ... and with smart contracts, there are many doors for developers to rug pulls.

It's not coincidence that Dogecoin has survived in cryptocurrency market many years, through many market cycles and about meme cryptocurrency, it is a best choice in my opinion if you want to invest in a meme cryptocurrency.
Sorry but I disagree with you, the fact that dogecoin have existed for a very long time does not make it the best meme coin to invest in if you are really interested in making good money from meme coin investment, dogecoin already have had it's time and right now, doge can no longer do 10,000x to 20,000x, and doing even 1000x from it's current price may not be possible too, but this Xs I mentioned is very possible with new memecoins when they become extremely successful.

The reason why doge coin is a proof of work is that, the time dogecoin was developed. There is nothing like smart contract yet, every project that was developed in those days hard no choice but to build their own blockchain, atleast, until ethereum smart contract came on board.

Nice. I think your results were pretty similar to mine, although I rolled a bit less spins than you. The pattern is the same: more lottery tickets than everything else, few GTs and cheap satoshis and RP rewards. The only difference is that you made slight superior profit in satoshis and RPs and I collected two more GTs than you. Anyway, congratulations and good job! It demands some effort and patience to accumulate 5046 spins!

Yeah, I've always been impressed that some of you guys have the patience to accumulate such a huge number of WoF spins. But to be honest, the results are pretty meager. I remember back in the beginning, it only took a few dozen or a hundred spins to get about the same amount of RP, sats, and tickets. At that time, the minimum 100k RP could be collected quite quickly.

Agreed. The site does appear to be under new management... or under the control of hackers.

At the very least TheQuin should have made a statement reflecting his own reason(s) for his departure.

TheQuin has chosen not to or he is unable to. I cannot think of a valid reason why he would choose not to. Perhaps he is unable to because of contractual obligations such as an NDA. Perhaps he no longer has access to his forum account.

In any case wetsuit should have made an announcement. Perhaps he too has chosen not to or he is unable to for the same reasons suggested above.

What we do have is a new person operating the freebitco.in PR forum account vouching for a newly created forum representative (CSFBC) each assuming our trust.

Trust is earned not given.

I'm not convinced that freebitco.in PR and CSFBC are in fact different people.

I'm not convinced there is a "Team."

Dear BTC Talk Community,

We have conducted a thorough review and found no issues on the website. It is possible that specific users may have encountered problems due to viruses or plugins they installed, which are beyond our control.

TheQuin is currently focusing on fraud prevention across our multiple properties and is no longer active on the forum. Customer support will now be handled by a professional team.

Best regards,
The FreeBitco.in Team

A thorough review found no issues.

Source: Trust me bro

ImmuniWeb.com and Hostedscan.com report multiple issues.

Of particular concern are the vulnerable JS libraries and the threat of cross site scripting (XSS) attacks.

During February there was a DDoS attack.
🚨 Update:
We've been battling DDoS attacks for the past 18 hours, but rest assured, all funds are safe and secure. Our team is working tirelessly to resolve the issue and ensure smooth operations. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Then we had users reporting that their accounts had been locked by hackers demanding a ransom.

Next we had users reporting that deposit and withdrawal addresses were being manipulated.

Following that there were multiple wagering contest winners (myself included) claiming that their contest prizes were stolen.

One of our Lambo winners was critical of the freebitco.in PR response.
We have conducted a thorough review and found no issues on the website. It is possible that specific users may have encountered problems due to viruses or plugins they installed, which are beyond our control.

...

I have 2 remarks:

1. The deposit and withdraw attacks were not just targeted against (recent) high rollers. I have not wagered on freebitco.in in months, and my account was still affected. Fortunately, I did not lose any bitcoin, because I did not try to deposit or withdraw when the attacks were taking place; but for a period of ~24 hours my deposit address switched to some unknown address. I have had the same deposit address for years and have not changed it recently, and so I knew immediately that something fishy was going on. After about a day, my deposit address changed back to my normal address.

2. This was absolutely not caused by "viruses or plugins they installed". I have 3 different devices that I use to log in to this site, and my deposit address was switched on every single device. Are you really going to argue that I had the exact same virus on all 3 devices?

I have ~100 messages on this forum, and in nearly all of them I have spoken positively about freebitco.in (they gave me a lambo!). I have to be critical here, though. Blaming users for these recent issues is not cool.

TheQuin went AWOL, without so much as a word from him.

wetsuit hasn't been active since November 26, 2023, 02:52:26 AM

The freebitco.in PR account appears to be under the control of a different user.
Note how the current account user prefaces messages with "Dear BTC Talk Community" as does the so-called new representative CSFBC.

There were recent issues with verification emails allegedly caused by an "email backlog."

We currently have users claiming missing WoF spins and interest payments.

If there are no issues with the website then why are there so many users reporting issues?

And who exactly is operating and representing freebitco.in? We actually have no idea do we?

I love this website, I really do, but I'm not feeling the transparency.

Something just doesn't feel right.

I get nervous each time I make a withdrawal.

The website security certificate expiring on the 3 August 2024 is also making me nervous.

When I said in this thread that everything that was happening was very suspicious and that it seemed to me to be a strong sign that the site was being operated by a new management and that the employees from the old management are no longer part of the new management, I saw comments from people saying that what I was saying didn't make sense, but in my opinion it makes perfect sense. just remember that @TheQuin was a member who could answer technical questions, any problem people had, he was able to answer these questions, which clearly showed that he had very broad knowledge of coding and the entire functioning of the site, I can it's wrong

Now it doesn't make any sense to remove @TheQuin from the forum to stay only on the site and bring in another newbie, knowing that the problems have increased and many people will complain here. any company with solid management would have kept @TheQuin here to answer people because he is an old, experienced member with extensive knowledge about the site and also the owner of the site, the OP of this thread would have already come here to talk about all the problems, but he disappeared. While I don't see @TheQuin and the creator of the thread coming to this thread to say that the site belongs to the same people since its founding, I prefer to believe that it is under new management and that this new management is not able to deal with the site's problems
