Anybody else having problems with not receiving promotional emails / free WOF spins?
The last email I received was on August 2. Nothing in the spam folder, I even have the address [email protected] on a whitelist.  Sad

BTC risen enough back again that we are teetering once again on the edge of where Rewards adjust downwards per unit, just a heads up for wheel spins etc.    Similarly I'd reference that dynamic in terms of the FUN token, you should expect the sat price to be under pressure if BTC is especially positive but I dont count that especially against the token except that its 'weaker' then the BTC standard which is true of the majority of crypto varieties; it may still outperform further out while BTC wavers back and forth which it can often do.
I'm not yet sure BTC decided its going up or not short to medium term, seems to be that way but still within a pivotal area that might yet launch it.   If 200 day average has a gravity to it then we should visit there at least briefly.

I made a filter online for the newsletter because even when its in my contact list it can be filed into spam and never seen.   Edge browser so helpful wont shut up that Im on a gambling site, I havent yet found the option to mute that nonsense.   I just found 2 email I had missed just now, would have expired had I not remembered.   All 50 size rewards on my couple days worth of spins and 2x 500 and I won 5000 yesterday so its all good.

I'm looking forward to seeing how their casino is going to be. It says that it'll be fully decentralized, I wonder if that means that there will be no location restrictions on the customers.

I wasn't allowed to participate in the recent Fun Poker game because of my location (New York blows), but I think that poker game was hosted by some third party operator.

I guess I'll find out soon enough when the casino launches. It's been a while since I played any poker or cards.

I have to admit that I never fancied promotional emails but this one is an exception.

It works. You want a WoF spin so you are prepared to pay the price of opening and clicking through a promotional email.

The suggestion to put it on the site rather than through the emails is just missing the whole business side of why we do everything. When a business gives something away it's because they get something in return. We give a free roll every hour and in return, you keep coming back to the site where we can market the gambling to you. There's no point in adding another free giveaway that does the same thing. So we introduced WoF which gives you something for free in return for engaging with our promotional emails.

True that, it's seems to be an effective marketing strat.

The CTR must be pretty high I'm sure. At least 85% engagement rate? Grin

I know it is good but I don't have the numbers. freebitco.in PR probably does as they do all the marketing side of things.

I am too amazed by the unknown facts why FUN token's value had been on a decline only even while btc and major good projects are back on a steady rise. This does not suit the thinking of us 'investors' and we never thought this coin would turn out to be an ultimate failure even after adding so many perks to it while holding it.

Why so impatient, give them some time to further develop the project. There are nice things coming in the near future and for now, everybody who holds over 2500 FUN tokens gets some extra free WOF spins which are also interesting.

It is not about my impatience, but it is a true thing that bitcoin and altcoins are partying and rallying high, so what is stopping Fun from enjoying those high price benefits? In fact, when such benefits are being offered by the project that more fun holders will be given better privileges, and when everyone is holding it, why is it getting dumped? Even Dogecoin is doing better than fun tokens.  Undecided

You are right about that, but FUN tokens are less established than bitcoin and a lot of altcoins. Dogecoin did a lot better thanks to Elon Musk but it is just a pump and dump coin. If freebitco.in can keep improving on the FUN tokens, generate more interest, than hopefully the price will also follow in the good direction.

@arallmuus is spot on here. The whole point of introducing Wheel of Fortune was to increase engagement with our promotional emails. As well as serving the purpose of marketing it also helps with email deliverability. Email service providers monitor how many people actually open emails and sometimes if that's low they'll decide to just stop delivering them.

Can I ask why the "Wheel of Fortune" feature was implemented via email only and not a built-in feature on one of the drop down menus on Freebitcoi.in? Is it in any way possible to link that feature to your account to enable that for users that get that?

The link in the email just take you to that Url that runs the wheel.... so why not just put that option on the drop down menu for the people that qualify for this?

Freebitco.in is literally giving free prizes for every accounts through WoF so they need to get something back from it. By exclusively sending it only through email, they are encouraging people to enable their email subscriptions so it allow freebitco.in to send promotional emails. This benefits freebitco.in instead of just getting nothing from it by implementing it as a built-in feature in the site

You give your email address when you signup for the site .. so there is no reason for them to get people to signup for the wheel, just to get their email addresses. So they have your email address to use as a marketing tool or to send notifications.

They will not lose anything by adding it to the drop down menu.... it will only be an additional feature that will be added to the site. The users that did not "signup" for this via their email, will have that feature ..blocked.  Wink

This

Knowing your email doesnt mean that freebitco.in can send you promotional emails, its your own discretion to allow them to. I had mine ticked off before the WoF started so yeah

They will not lose anything by adding it to the drop down menu....

They lose the ability to send you emails. Im pretty sure that most people dont want to receive these type of emails and on top of that, its a daily promotional emails. So by adding some type of 'rewards' on these emails, most people willingly allow freebitco.in to do send them those emails

That is very right, it is your own prerogative whether you want to receive emails from them or not.
I guess, a lot of players don't remember if they opt out or not or apply any changes under e-mail subscriptions.
People should visit their profile and check also the category - disable lottery & interest. I guess time to check your profile settings.
By the way, am following the price movement of FUN token during this trading competition, but seems that they haven't changed much.

Abuse from users fact does not reduce their responsibility to continue to process withdrawals from users who claim them.
From abusers point of view you mean LOL. But for how long should they continue according to you? 5 years? 10 years? more?
How much does it cost? Fun token price is going down week after week since its launch, so I don't think unclaimed giveaway cryptos from an old former faucet should be a priority. They could at least take a cut on remaining unclaimed balances every month for the custody costs.

There's a Doge thread? I'll try and look, thanks. I'm not linked to spam but I made an account purely for the purpose here. I've used Bitcoin for years, just never had a chance to register an account on bitcointalk. Thanks.

Apparently there is, albeit just spanning 3 pages.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7122506
I'd post in it but I wouldn't want to bump very old threads with no activity. Thank you for the link though.
LOL Freedogeco.in has closed 2 years ago now, in august 2019(!) https://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/ctgpjt/freedogecoin_is_shutting_down_as_of_today_august/
So it's normal if the last posts of this thread are also from 2019...  Roll Eyes
But why have you waited 2 years to claim your DOGEs please? I don't understand... You didn't need them before?
IMO it's time to close those withdrawals, I haven't seen anywhere a platform allowing withdrawals 2 years after its shutdown. The remaining DOGEs could be used to reward real users, real gamblers and real investors of freebitco.in...
Sorry, I was out of the loop for a while dealing with real life. I'm not going to go through much detail neither will I argue with you. I also have patience! I was just wondering why it said within a week and was wondering what happened. All responses appreciated and thanks TheQuin for clearing the matter. It was just hard to get a response from staff which is all I was looking for and I appreciate that.

Is anyone else having troubles getting any staff member to respond to them?
Best way to contact them is to contact TheQuin by private message on this forum. He is active every day and is always here to help.
Seems like ‘TheQuin’ has restricted newbie user to send PM. ‘ilovesushi1337’ was trying to reach him since last week. Few other people had also reported about Freedoge.co.in withdrawal in past and TheQuin has responded all of them without taking much time. Maybe he hasn't noticed this user issue yet. I just sent a PM to him about it. Hopefully he will look into the issue.

That's not actually the case. My PMs are not restricted but I gave up replying to the Doge ones a while back after posting here a number of times that they are getting processed. I can't actually check individual ones and wetsuit is processing them manually. I sent him an email earlier today and this was the reply "I haven't processed the withdrawal requests for ages. ~ I'll do it today."

Thank you, appreciate this once again.

It is indeed better to close a service if it is not providing enough returns for a long time to continue running the service. I think closing freedogeco.in was a good choice.
About the FUN token, I recently heard that it rallied 33% upwards and so I think it has a good chance of wider adoption in near future.

Oh well I wouldn't be very sure of that because taking a cut from their customers without any notice would give a bad impression.
But yeah if they do keep announce that rule on their site then may be yeah that could turn out beneficial to them.

It's a shame that freedogecoin had to stop because of the abuse. And unfortunately I'm sure some of those abusers are still claiming funds from this faucet 2 years after its shutdown, hoping evidence of their abuse has disappeared or been forgotten in the meantime.  Undecided
Dogecoin price increases can be one of the reasons many users of freedogecoin are interested in claiming the coins they have.
Imagine when this faucet first appeared 100 Dogecoins were not very attractive to withdraw but now even if you only have 50 you will still be claimed because it is worth.
Abuse from users fact does not reduce their responsibility to continue to process withdrawals from users who claim them.
