Hello
Thank you for your answer. Just a brief explanation about the refund process.
I am very interested in preparing and enforcing a legal case against this company.
What is your opinion?
Regards

It seems to me that this is the only chance to get clients' money back. As far as I know, allegations of crime have been filed in at least 7 countries (we are talking about those clients with whom we personally communicated). Moreover, in some of them, law enforcement officers at least verbally showed interest in this case.
Therefore, if you want to submit a similar application on your own behalf, I can help you draw up an approximate example of such an application.

They’ve been doing this for years. Real selective scammers, it is disgraceful and they should be in jail.

I hope you get your money back but it’s far from guaranteed with these fraudsters.

It's importatn for all user who lost their coins due to "suspicious activity" to post complaints and negative reviews. That's how other users and competent authorities will finally get understanding that we are talking not about just casual mistakes (like some guy from support forgot to resolve one ticket - it wouldnt be scam, just a misunderstanding). But there are dozens of similar cases when we talk about Freewallet. It cant be just a mistake if this situations happens again and again.

how they reacted ? Same as they did during the whole story.

they will
- ask for the same info, again
- then ask you to wait until they "review" your info
- then wait until I can't stand it anymore and I send a bunch of message to them
- tell not me to create multiple support tickets even if I didn't
- repeat the process.

I'm not even sure there's a human here, as the mails seemed to be copied/pasted without giving a fluke to what the customer wrote in the mail.

Well, it's a usual way to scam customers, similar questions, similar requirements for KYC.
But they understand that it's a scam so that when a person starts to post complaints and send them to law enforcements, they ususallu unblock accounts. Otherwise the owners of Freewallet may soon get imprisonment even though their KYC\AML procedure looks legitimate. We all know it's just a way to deceive users!

Thank you for sharing your story.
Just interested whether Freewallet team will react to your story.
But I dont believe they will do anything if we talk about all customers who found themselves in similar situation.
Yes, I.m sure that hundreds of other clients have already found themselves in a similar situation. So if you want to install a wallet, don't choose Freewallet org. There are hundreds of other solutions. Which do not block the client without reason and do not use KYC fraud as a way to steal coins!

annnnd I'm another scammed user.

Should I post here the whole story ?

Hi!
We contacted via email [email protected]

Yes, I advice you to post your story here.

Owkaaay (:
I've added two lines since my mail to you.

START
my account was created beginning of may 2018.. I gradually sent there some fantom coin, then some classic moneo.. then some « normal » moneo, which was mainly from MinerGate … and then, in 2020, a nice sum in monero… in 2021, I converted most of my XMR in DOGE and ETH back and forth… and nothing until ....

Please not that all hours here UTC +1 and that when I say « I reply » in the following text, it means that I reply to a mail from the free wallet support with all previous correspondence included, as I’m used to do, with all kind of support. I just don’t copy all hail and goodbye ("regards", "hello", etc… as it’s irrelevant to understand the story). My quote are in orange, theirs in purple.

09/09/24 23h50: I decide to convert my DOGE coins back to ETH. And that’s when everything started. I was blocked to do so for no reason, which is way stupid as it was a conversion inside freewallet. No withdraw.
Then while I’m searching for the reason, I notice that some photos and ID are required now.. I think: ok, maybe it’s because I didn’t send anything back then. So, I upload my ID Card and the photo with the « attention » text. And add the 2FA.

10/09/24 02h03: I send a mail to support about the problem.

10/09/24 06h41: they reply: "Please send us the screenshot that captures your issue. » OK fine.

10/09/24 20h43: I notice my account is suspended, so I send the picture, give some more information, like my account, the original mail from my account, etc… and I ask why I was suspended ?

11/09/24 16h58 : I got a reply … the one everybody knows now: "We have detected suspicious activity on your Freewallet account and want to ensure the safety of your funds. As a precautionary measure, we have temporarily suspended withdrawals until the verification process is completed."
So, I reply; at 19h06: "That’s weird: I already did so two days ago… (ID card, photo, etc…)… and you don’t know ?"
it was really weird as I didn’t try to withdraw anything at the time. So,I add: "Suspicious activity ?? Which one ? I didn’t make a thing (except checking the balance once every three months) in years. So please, share. »

12/09/24 01h23: "Please submit previously requested information." But I just did two days ago, right ? So I reply: "already did Huh what am I supposed to do ?? You want ID, you got it, you want picture, you got it !!!!
and in the meantime: Please submit previously requested information, too.
"

12/09/24 18h01: "Even if you have uploaded a photo with the "Attention" image to the app, please also attach it to your response in this ticket. We can advise you if the photo meets the requirements of the procedure. » Meh. Owwwkay.

12/09/24 20h44: so I send all pictures and info again.. adding: "And what about the suspicious activity ?? I need to know… if someone is doing something with my account, I need to know what and take mesures from there."
13/0924 01h04: "We'll review submitted information and get back to you as soon as possible. »

20/09/24 10h15: One week later, nothing. So I reply to the same previous email: "so ? it’s been a week already…"

21/09/24 02h02: "We'll let you know as soon as there are any updates. »

23/09/24 10h26: "I’m sorry but it doesn’t take two weeks to validate an EU ID card… «

26/09/24 14h25: I got a mail. "1) Please take a photo with the 'Attention' image according to the instructions from our previous request.

2) Kindly provide us with the following documents initially issued by the service provider as a PDF file and displaying your name and residential address:

- Bank Statement
- Household Register Excerpt
- Council Tax Bill
- Utility Bill (Electricity/Water/Gas)
- Telecom Bill (Internet/Landline/Cable TV)

3) Do you remember the name of the platform you used to send crypto to Freewallet in 2021?

Please screenshot the TxID leading to Freewallet in that sending platform account interface.
"

Wow. that’s rich. the first part, I already did. TWICE. WTF ?!
The second part, well, is that enough ? what about my credit card number, my DNA map and a martini ??
The third part, well, Minergate is now closed. EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT. Any people who were in the crypto scene knows about Minergate, how they operated, how they went down. So, that’s so rich, I should say called them Elon Musk. Plus, I had several transactions in 2021.. from Minergate, from some pools (yeah I tried mining for two years) and from my personal monero wallet.

So, ok, let’s do my best, I’m a good guy…

26/09/24 16h50: "Here you are:
- photo with said text.
- electricity proof of address
- gaz bill
- internet bill
There was crypto from Minergate on one side and on the other side, I sent XMR (Monero) directly from my personal wallet.
Problem: Minergate is down now and as you probably know, they stopped at the end of last year. There’s no website anymore.
About my own wallet, I’ve added the screenshot with the two XMR transactions with the included pictures.
"

02/10/24 03h50 (one can notice how each time, the latency is increasing… and fast !): "We'll review submitted information and get back to you as soon as possible."

and then, I wait. For a month ??

29/10/24 23h54: "we’re one month later, more or less…
so ?
"

30/10/24 03h52: "Please respond to the original ticket."

and what did I just did ? my previous reply includes ALL correspondance from the beginning, so they should know.
But from this point, every time I reply, their system send me a new ticket number. Hilarious.

31/10/24 10h16: I reply "that’s the original ticket Huh? there’s no other ??"
31/10/24 10h22 (ohh that was fast): "Thank you for submitting your documents. Our team is currently reviewing them but it may take a while longer. We will get back to you as soon as we possibly can."
Ah yes, it’s not the same color, it’s because this mail was NOT from Freewallet support , but from [email protected].

1/11/2024 14h29, just 2 minutes after I receive another notification for a third or fourth ticket number from them, for no reason: "Our team will contact you as soon as we have any news. "

It doesn’t get old, aye ?

06/11/2024 22h00: as I had no reply, I decided to try if I still can’t convert some DOGE coins to ETH.. (still no withdrawal at this point, you noticed ?).. AAAAND MY 2FA code is not good anymore. Fortunately, I wrote it somewhere, just in case (of course, in a way that no one would understand). So, I know my code is right.

06/11/2024 22h11: I begin to lose it: "any news about what exactly ?
You wanted ID, you got it.
You wanted bills (proof of address), you got it
You wanted info about previous transactions, you got it
You wanted a photo of me, with said text, you got it.
And now, I noticed my 2FA code has changed ?!
what are you doing to my account Huh what is the purpose there ?? If you intend to keep my cryptos for you, just plainly say it !!
I’m sick and tired. it’s been two months since I can’t access my funds !!!!
"

07/11/2024 05h10: "Please be patient and wait for the reply via the initial ticket.
Freewallet can't change the 2fa codes and has no intention of doing that.
"

THAT. WAS. THE. ORIGINAL. AND. ONLY. TICKET. DAMN. IT.

and then, out of nowhere:
09/11/2024 04h52: "We've already sent you a reply in another chat.

Please do not create multiple support tickets for the same issue! It doesn't speed up the process, on the contrary: it takes us even more time to sort out all your tickets.
"
what the hell are you talking about Huh what chat ? we’re talking using email !! I didn’t create multiple support ticket, only one. Your system decided to create more by itself. All my mails are with all correspondance all the time , so you should know !!

09/11/2024 14h20: "I didn’t create any multiple support tickets: your system did. Every time I reply to you like that, I got a new support ticket.
I’m denied  access my funds for months… stop stalling !!
"

and that’s when I posted on reddit, I think…
since that, I noticed that we are hundreds around the world that were scammed by these guys.

and then:
11/11/2024 13h11: "1) Please take a new photo with the "Attention" image in standard lighting so we can clearly see the details on your phone screen.
2) Please submit a full-page screenshot from your external service where we can see the whole hash, destination address, and amount.
"
at this point, everybody reading that would remember that I already send the photo TWICE.. and the screenshot ONCE. But maybe there are asking a screenshot from Minergate which closed last year ? Did anyone know some guy from Minergate so they could relaunch their website for me ?? Nope ? Damn.

and one minute later:
11/11/2024 13h12: "We've already sent you a reply in another chat.
Please do not create multiple support tickets for the same issue! It doesn't speed up the process, on the contrary: it takes us even more time to sort out all your tickets.
"
this too, it doesn’t get older than that, aye ?

11/11/2024 15h48: "I already did. Twice. Stop stalling.
I’m filing a complain to
[author: I don't put the whole mail there, I tried to make them understand I don't intend to let go... you get the idea]
I've provided you two times with what you asked. You stalled for more than a month for your so called verification process. There are hundreds of people with the same problem and it’s quite documented. [cut]
You will give me back my assets. You can even convert them back to XMR and send them back to my personal wallet, I don’t care. (it’s in my history: 43Lhux
[cut] )
I can even create an eth or DOGE wallet , same thing. But you will give me back my assets. now.
and if you legal team wants to contact me, you already have all informations about me to get in touch.
"

and the reply ? naaah, I'm sure you already guessed it !
and 40 hours later:
13/11/2024 06h28: "We've already sent you a reply in another chat.
Please do not create multiple support tickets for the same issue! It doesn't speed up the process, on the contrary: it takes us even more time to sort out all your tickets.
"

13/11/2024 13h55: THERE IS NO « ANOTHER CHAT » , I ONLY REPLY ON TO THE SAME MAIL FROM THE BEGINNING. STOP STALLING.

And here we are. I needed to tell that with some kind of funny/comedy in it…  we got a saying in France: « sometimes, joke is the politeness of despair » (and of course, english is not my native language, so I'm sorry if there are some mistakes here and there)

Oh and some bonus chat with them, on reddit !

Hello,

We understand your concerns and frustrations regarding the verification procedure you encountered while using the Freewallet cryptocurrency wallet service. Ensuring the security of users' funds is our utmost concern. As part of our commitment to safeguarding assets, some users undergo a verification procedure. This measure helps prevent unauthorized access and ensures compliance with international regulations, primarily anti-money laundering and illicit financial practices. Throughout the verification procedure, all funds remain securely untouched in the account.

As for your case, all the provided details have been forwarded to our security department for review. Once there is news regarding your case, we will notify you via email instantly.

Why do you ignore user with ticket #493948?
https://medium.com/@frwttruth/cfe44cea3b2e

I’ve provide them with:

- Pictures of me holding my passport (through their website)

- An official letter from the government to my homeadress (email)

- A picture of me holding a letter that said that I’m the rightful owner of the account along with my wallet opened on my computer. (email)

- An e-bill of the phone number associated with the account (email)

- The verification email of 2017 that the transfer had been completed from Bitrush (site where I bought the coins) to my Freewallet wallet (email).

- A screencast of me logging into my Freewallet account, logging into my email and showing the Bitrush verification,

- A skype video call with an account from Freewallet

Isn't it the truth?
But why user's wallet still remains frozen?

Hey everyone,

If you’ve been scammed by Freewallet like so many of us have, I want to let you know that we have a new strategy to take action and potentially stop them from continuing their fraudulent operations. After doing some research, it looks like Hetzner is the hosting provider for Freewallet's website (https://www.hetzner.com), and we now have the chance to get them involved and demand that they take Freewallet.org offline.

Many of us have already lost significant amounts of cryptocurrency because of Freewallet’s scammy practices. They’ve locked users out of their accounts under the pretense of KYC (Know Your Customer) verification and then ignored all attempts to resolve the issue, all while taking our funds without consent. The fraudulent use of KYC is one of their most notorious tactics, asking for personal documentation like passports, IDs, and selfies, only to block or endlessly delay access to the accounts. Meanwhile, our funds disappear.

Even after reaching out to Freewallet’s customer service, victims have received little to no response, leaving us without a solution. The company continues to lure in new victims, and this scam shows no signs of stopping. That’s why it’s crucial for us to step up and do everything we can to fight back.

Our plan is to flood Hetzner with complaints so they realize what kind of scam they’re supporting by hosting Freewallet’s website. Most hosting providers have strict policies against hosting websites that engage in illegal or harmful activities, and we believe that once they understand how serious this issue is, they will take action to ban Freewallet.org.

Here’s what we need you to do:

Go to Hetzner’s website at https://www.hetzner.com and find their feedback form.
Write a detailed complaint about your experience with Freewallet. Explain how they locked you out of your account, the excuses they used, and how you lost your funds. Make sure to emphasize that Freewallet is engaging in fraudulent activities and must be investigated.
Make it clear that you are asking Hetzner to block Freewallet.org because it is a scam that continues to harm more people.
The more complaints Hetzner receives, the more pressure they will feel to take this issue seriously. We can make a difference if we act together!

Apparently... If they really no  longer can make up stuff for you to send.. They just ignore you - no longer any response on the status of my ticket. I have given them every proof (already 5 times, many double unnecessary stuff). Hand in the "very last" thing - and they go blanc. What a complete scam.

Hello, checking our system we can see that your case is still being reviewed by our security department. Please be assured that we will email you once there is an update regarding your case status.

I have a question though, how are they making money off of this? I mean my money has been siting there for months, others have their money frozen but not going anywhere for years. Whats up with that?

Sorry to hear this. Sure, there is another way to scam people: pretend you want to help but ask for money or passwords, or something else.
But if we talk about Freewallet owners, we have some evidence about their real names. But this information should be reviewed.

You havent even given me a ticket. Of course now you dont even reply at emails.

Just so people are aware, they blocked 65k in usdt asked me for pictures and bank statements and whatnot twice and then stoped responding.

Ofcourse my lawyer is notified and this WILL be going to interpol.

They react only in cases where they see that the situation with blocking a particular wallet seriously harms their reputation. We have met clients whose assets have remained frozen for more than a year.

Lol these dudes froze 65k in usdt of mine. They asked for:

1) video holding the cell phone with the freewallet account and my name
2) bank statement
i send bank statement they didnt like the hand written stamped by the bank director one, they wanted a PDF, i asked for a PDF from the bank, the bank gave it to me, they said they couldnt take a pdf thats copied for another file, i had the GREEK STATE verify thats my account and they didnt like it, i downloaded a bank statement they they asked me a video of me downloading it. Lmao. Dicks. 65k means nothing to me, if anyone gives me info on their whareabouts, or any of their family member whereabouts, ill give them 65k in cash.
