I think beating PSG 2-0 is a big achievement for a team like Rennes. PSG has two of the best players in the world Messi and Mbappe in the attack. Rennes' defenders were able to successfully block these two players. Rennes' defense was very solid in this match. And their match strategy was also excellent. However, this match made it clear that PSG has a lot of weaknesses within their squad. And coach Galtier completely failed to stabilize the team.
It is true that we are talking about a big achievement, but at the same time PSG didn't look like they were really into the game. They know they will win the title, they are aware that they lost in the UCL as well, which basically is a season over for them once again.

What are they going to play for after this moment? What would be the reason to go out and play as well as you can and give your 100% to every game? There is no need for that at all, there is absolutely no way that they are losing the league, the difference is 7 points and they won't give that, and UCL is done for them, so we will see them end up with a title situation where they won't have to play well enough to care.

I am not sure how their boss will have better sport development strategies for PSG in coming years. If they can change themselves by lesson from 10 failed years in Champions League, they will win it in future but I am very doubtful that it will happen soon.
I didn't think, PSG lost even 0-2 at home. Indeed, Rennes are not a bad team, they have good quality. PSG itself may not be able to forget the defeat to Munich. PSG had many chances but they failed to score. Even Messi didn't move, he wasn't involved in the process of creating chances. I don't know how their future achievements will be. But business-wise I think PSG have made a profit.
The attack line which is still problematic makes PSG's condition not so good in this match. They got a lot of chances, they also excelled in possession, it's just that the final finishing was really bad for them. On the other hand conditions are good for Rennes in taking advantage of the momentum. the back balls that were given were very good and this troubled PSG which confused them until the end of the match. This was very unexpected indeed but in the end they had to concede Rennes.

Ligue 1 have start first match last night and Paris Saint Germain have get first lost in this season from Lens, I think how ever the result match between Lens vs PSG always have chance for PSG become the champion of Ligue 1, they have good team and many star player on their team like Neymar, Di Maria and Mbape. Right now their player have injured after getting covid 19 and miss more than two weeks later, after Neymar confirmed keep on playing with PSG I think give good result for PSG to be champion in Ligue 1.
People keeps pin pointing and depend on PSG stars even when PSG keeps losing with these same stars. PSG right now is considered powerful in the Frech league. If anyone is to mention giants team's in Europe, PSG comes last after all the top teams in Germany, Spain,  England, and Italy are all mentioned.
No doubt, they dominates in France,  but in every season u will discover that They lose to so many lower class teams in that league.  With this,  I don't so much believe in PSG when they play against any strong contender like Lenz, Monaco or rennes, as I know they may disappoint at anytime.

They can't capitalize on their advantage on everything, which is a bad thing in my opinion. Maybe this defeat doesn't affect them because they are still at the top of the standings with a pretty big point advantage. Actually I'm not too interested in fighting for the title in Ligue 1 but I would rather see how they are in the Champions League, but again and again they also fail for the umpteenth time in the Champions League. The Champions League is still too difficult for them to beat until now, they are still at a level that has not been able to achieve that success.
The Champions League is still a difficult competition for PSG because with a sufficiently strong squad depth this season they have not been able to bring big changes to their journey in the Champions League arena. a strong squad and their players are full of experience in the Champions league also doesn't have a good effect if the coach still lacks experience in the champions league so there is no strategy that is too precise when they meet strong teams from other leagues like when they faced bayern munich where psg lost from leg  first to second leg.

for next season most likely some players will leave and psg will not be as strong as this season. There are many rumors that Neymar and Messi will leave PSG, will that indicate that PSG next season will again reap difficulties in the Champions League and will fail again. worth the wait.

To be honest, I'm no longer interested in following PSG's developments. because, I can't stop thinking, what is PSG's real problem. PSG is a giant in Ligue 1, after slipping in the Champions League, their performance has not shown a better direction, even though PSG's focus is currently only on the Ligue 1 trophy.

Actually, what confuses me is the system and pattern that Galtier applies. not infrequently, Galtier always tweaked his formation in every match his team played. so, I prefer to bet on another team than the PSG vs Rennes match.
speaking of statistics, PSG has a lot of opportunities. recorded, they had 17 total shots, 8 of which were on target, 5 shots off target, 4 shots blocked. unfortunately, PSG was not able to optimize every opportunity to be converted into a goal. on the other hand, PSG's defense line was not strengthened by its core players. so, naturally, in this match PSG lost to Rennes. even so, I remain optimistic that PSG will still win the Ligue 1 trophy.
when rennes beat PSG, there were millions of people who bet on them and everyone must have felt annoyed at the senseless defeat, so it seems that many people will be careful when betting on PSG

but PSG's chances of becoming the Ligue 1 champion this season are very large even though (the difference) the distance between PSG and Marseille is only 7 points

This match showed us that money and squad don't matter, that it doesn't matter if you don't have more possession. The one who gets into position and scores wins. When we look at the squads of the two teams, PSG are clearly superior and it is normal to expect them to win at home. But soccer is such a strange sport that anything can happen at any moment. That's why we watch and wait with excitement until the last minute.

This result of this match between PSG and Rennes shows that the French league is improving. Past seasons PSG have always had a free ride, winning with many matches to spare. It's good to see teams like Rennes dealing with the  big money spending clubs. The team did a good defending job that really stopped the PSG attack. But captain Mbappe was outstanding and the combination between him and Messi was wonderful. Messi was always feeding Mbappe with great passes that was saved by the Rennes' goalkeeper Steve Mandanda. The looks on the face of Nasser Al-Khelaifi is not too nice. It is clear he is not happy with the team and coach Christophe Galtier might be on his way out.
It's good, but the difference in strength between the two teams is obvious. You are a team like PSG and you shouldn't lose at home with this squad. If you lose even points at home in games like this, the fans get bored and blame you. You can't react to this blame because the fans are right. That's why it's natural for PSG to blame this failure on the team or on Galtier, the manager. A lot of money was spent on this team. An all-star squad has been built, but it's nothing. That's why the fans are angry and they want more. I would think the same thing, you have brought legendary players everywhere, you have money, you have the means, but there is no success. In the Champions League I expected them to reach the final but it didn't happen.

Of course such a defeat is shocking especially because PSG are playing at home. Rennes managed to take advantage of their opportunities well where 2 of the 3 good opportunities were goals. Meanwhile, PSG, which actually managed to take 7 shots on target, failed to score a single goal. Steve Mandanda was really good in the match, he made 7 saves out of 7 PSG chances during the match.

I think Rennes is not too weak for PSG because they are a top Ligue 1 team that should be considered. This season Rennes are struggling to qualify for the Europa League if Monaco fail to maintain their position in the standings. Monaco's advantage is only about 3 points from Rennes, this is still very likely to be expected.

Genesio really implemented the right strategy to suppress the domination of PSG. can't believe PSG wasn't able to score at home even with enough chances created.
although the result did not affect PSG's standings, losing 0-2 was enough of a blow for them. no wonder they should be eliminated from the last 16 of the Champions League. a team like Munich is still too strong for PSG. with so many good players in the team, PSG is still lacking in their squad.
PSG got the bag and good players, I think they need a better coach that can engrave the winning mentality withing the players, so far to me they don't seem to play well as a team, their strikers are the only ones playing good together.

Reims really tried to get at least one point against Marseille by the way. Despite the loss I think they deserved to get a point. Balogun had a good performance but he was unlucky at the same time. Because he could have been the hero for his team two times. He had two absolute goal chances while the score was 2-1. In fact he wasn't expecting the ball to come to him in the first one otherwise one small touch was going to be enough for scoring a very easy goal.

The second chance was in the stoppage time. His shot hit the goal post and Marseille players took a deep breath there. There were some defensive mistakes by both sides in two of these goals. Gigot and Abdelhamid were the players who weren't good at marking the right players. Honestly it was sad to see Reims' very long unbeaten streak to end like this.

Rennes managed to beat PSG twice this season in Ligue 1 and of course, it was a good result for Rennes because PSG couldn't score against Rennes this season. I don't know if Rennes had something extraordinary that made Rennes win with clean sheets, because if I consider the statistical results, at least Rennes did not dominate the match.

Maybe it's natural that Rennes can control the game, but in reality PSG has a better statistical record when compared to Rennes. Don't understand what happened to PSG, because with a defeat like this it looks like PSG no longer has the ambition to achieve successive wins at this moment.

If Rennes has to thank anyone, that's their goalkeeper as he was bascially the man of the match. Either way PSG is a mess and woulnd't put a dime on them.

This was a classic example of PSG not being able to take their chances well. PSG missed a lot of chances.
Of course, those chances were not easy. But their opponent, Rennes, took the chances well.

We already knew that the defense of PSG was not good. And now the attacking of PSG is also not working perfectly.
And that's because of the lack of finishing from Mbappe. The goalkeeper of Rennes had the performance of his life.

Yesterday we watched two important matches, the first was PSG-Rennes. In the first half, Rennes scored at the end of the first half and closed the first half 1-0 ahead. Rennes scored the second goal in the first minutes of the second half and despite PSG increasing the pressure, they did not concede a goal.  This is an important win for Rennes. I didn't expect them to get 3 points in a tough away match. When we look at the matches between them, I already saw that Rennes gave PSG trouble, so Rennes is a team that is against PSG.

Losing with a 2-0 result is not a good result for PSG against any team with these players they have, I think PSG lost this game mostly because they lost the champions league and they don't have a good atmosphere in their team after that game also people and the fans are still unhappy about the performance of players like Messi, if they don't change this situation I think after Messi more stars will leave PSG at the end of this season.
If you can't keep the fans happy despite all the transfers and money spent, then something is wrong. PSG have built an almost stellar squad and they are not leading the league by far, on top of that they were eliminated early from the Champions League. When all these things come on top of each other, the fans are clearly angry and trying to put the blame on someone else. Messi will probably leave because he is not liked here. I don't know if Mbappe and neymar will leave too, but psg is good as a team but the lack of success is affecting both the team and the players.

I understand that the criticism for PSG must be very harsh, it is not something that is good for this team because now since they have lost almost everything, they lost the UCL, apart from that they are losing right now in Ligue 1, this is not good for this team, also I don't know what plans the Sheikh has right now, with the winning squad they have it's for them to win whatever, maybe they have to ask Real Madrid how to play with stars since at one time they were called the "Galácticos" even though for me They still are, personally if they leave Ney and Messi I don't know what will happen to PSG.

This gets good:

Quote
The talk of the town at Paris Saint-Germain as of late has been the uncertain future of Lionel Messi at the club. The Argentine forward is set to become a free agent in the upcoming summer transfer window.

There have been some who have called for PSG to not push to sign Messi to a new contract deal, while others believe that the Ligue 1 side should go all out to keep the Argentine forward at the club. For former FIFA World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu, he would like to see Messi remain at PSG.

“I’m going against the grain, but I want to see Messi extend his stay in Paris for another year,” Lizarazu said on Telefoot. “I want us to still have the privilege of seeing him in France. He is the greatest player in history, at least in the 20 twenty years. He showed at the World Cup that he can still play at a very high level, yes, he was disappointing against Bayern, but like the whole PSG team.”

You'll quickly learn to ignore posters like Sirait Wink Their quality has actually improved over time, but only in grammar and spelling. Actual value to the sports they presumably follow..?
Hah yeah, after I replied to him I noticed that he is one of those 1xbit shitposters whose posts should be ignored/reported and deleted. Since mods are reluctant to do the latter, I opted for ignore so I don't see more of that drivel.

Exactly!

At the beginning I even wondered if the game had been rigged, I found PSG so bad, and so out of the game! Genesio really did well.

I have to tell you that I'm glad I made the decision to never bet in favor of Paris again. If tomorrow they were to play against a secondary city, I would ask myself the question, but they would still be able to disappoint me once again.

On the other hand, I am much less optimistic than piebeyb about Rennes. I'm convinced they'll get tired before the end of the season and go downhill, as often
