Even if we look at the results of the previous Marseille match they were held to a draw by the weak Strasbourg team. But that match also left losses such as losing their key defender Leonardo Balerdi. But luckily in the match against Reims they were able to win and didn't concede more than 1 goal. Then a brace from Alexis Sanchez managed to save Marseille from defeat.
We have to say frankly that Reims is one of the best teams of recent times.  Reims are playing very well and they were also very good against Marseille but Marseille made the difference with Alexis Sanchez and they managed to beat Reims.  This is good news for Marseille as they are working hard to be in the top two places in the league.
Yeah, Reims which is middle of league table and doing amazing job they lost only five games form 28 in this season and Marseille is first team in last ten games which beat them without any doubt in limited resources and having average player's performance like this is amazing form them no chance for them to have any improvement for the higher rank but staying still into middle is also good from their coach and players hard work now in next round after break they are going to face Nantes which was also doing good in last few seasons, but now they are struggling badly and have one of the worst time with no win in last five game just 2 points which is surely worst case.

PSG was not disqualified from the Champions League this season, but PSG was only defeated by a formidable opponent and that doesn't have to fully blame the coach even though the current coach's abuse feels unsatisfactory, but PSG players don't have to be frustrated about that because PSG can still get the Ligue1 trophy this season as usual and PSG can try their luck again in the Champions League next season.
Since PSG has been eliminated from the Champions League, their only goal now is to win the Ligue 1 title. And make their team more organized. The overall condition of the PSG team is very poor. The team is not able to perform well. The bond between the team players is not good. The coach should try to strengthen the bond between the team players. PSG management will look for a new coach next season if coach Galtier fails to stabilize the team. PSG need a more experienced coach if they want to win the Champions League.
After having another elimination from the Champions League things looking not good for them because many rumours around with most chances Messi is going to leave this club and Mbappé is also under pressure as he wants to be alone here with injury port Neymar is also under criticism from many about things going in club its need good overhauling from the management if they want to have better results in this club because just having stars not guaranteed for the win coach Galtier is also having not good experience of handling team like this most chances he will also out of job.

Discipline is also important part but for this you need to give all players same level treatment giving one player VIP and others on second level is also never give success to this team.

I still can't understand the psg weake preformence in the league 1, they got disqualified from the champions league and this us enough for them to focus on the league 1 and try to settle the trophy asap, but what we see is the contrary se they lost to rennes without even scoring a goal
Losing to Rennes also won't change anything for PSG because the PSG team can still be at the top of the standings with a distance of 7 points from Marseille and for now PSG is still not weak in Ligue 1 even though they have been eliminated from the Champions League this season and for next season PSG is only need to fix some weaknesses in order to be able to compete again in the Champions League because in Ligue1 PSG is still a very strong number one team.
the difference in points for PSG is still in their favor. even though they lost a few times, they still wouldn't be swept off the top of the table. but I believe PSG will not want to repeat the 2020-2021 season. they only have 1 point difference with their challenger. and PSG finally lost in the race for the title. there are still about 10 matches, if PSG is careless, Marseille can snatch the top position of the standings from PSG.

Actually, if you watch the matches played by PSG, then you will know where the mistake lies and why it is so difficult for them to achieve maximum results. Maybe in my opinion, those who have occasionally watched PSG matches, they are actually quite good but the midfield and back line seem to lack coordination which makes them often lose the ball or even have gaps for the opponent to create opportunities that can even become goals. As for the attack line, it's actually quite good because there are Messi and Mbappe, it's just that they don't have a pure striker who can bounce the ball or pull the opponent's defenders so that other PSG players can attack from the opponent's blind spot.

PSG are very often losing in the latter stages of the Champions League, despite their strong squad and predictions that they could become champions... But I think the coaching is not bad, because in Ligue 1 they are in first place in the standings and have a gap of 7 points from Marseille, their closest rival...
When you take a look on the budget spent in Ligue 1, you will see why PSG is almost in the first place the whole time and why the other teams are way behind.
The level of Ligue 1 without PSG is like any normal European league, nothing special. Lille, Lyon, Marseille and sometimes Rennes and Nice pop up and do something interesting in European competitions but cannot go too far.
I want to say that being in the first place for PSG and getting 7 points gap isn't really an achievement and cannot judge how good is the tactic used there. Facing European teams like Bayern, City, Real Madrid can give a global view about the team and players and until now, nothing special for PSG.
In this season we have just two leagues which are having big difference of points La Liga and Serie A with all other three leagues are having tough competitions between top teams same here even still PSG having seven points difference which is looking better but as they are spending budget this is not ideal situation because they are doing things without any solid strategy just for their own sack which is also big issue.

Qatari are having money, and they buy this club for doubling their money which is already done but their dream for having trophies is not completed because this all is not happening with only money you need something different as well as good coach and better environment which is not available here in this club specially just one thing which is creating here mess-up is mostly are complaining about Mbappé which is having different protocol and all other players are not having things like these, so they need to be a professional's not personal like and dislikes.

PSG management spent a lot of money to sign star players. But they could not pick the right players for their team. There is a lack of coordination among the team players. Bonding between players is not good. There were also internal conflicts within the party. Due to these reasons PSG's squad despite having many star players, their performances was completely erratic. The PSG management may have thought that changing the coach would stabilize PSG's performance. But Galtier could not stabilize the team. Rather, the bonding between the team's players has weakened. It is impossible to win a platform title like Champions League without an experienced coach.
They thought that can buy the most expensive players and win all the tournaments, but it doesn't work that way, big titles are won by the team and not by individuals. Moreover, due to the fact that there are many stars in the team, everyone considers himself the center of this team, and to some extent this selfishness prevents the team from achieving its goals. Galtier is an incomprehensible step for me, I don’t see any of his merits or achievements that could help PSG.

You are right. PSG management thought they could win the Champions League only with star players. But we have seen many times in the past that despite having fewer star players in the squad, the teams won the Champions League title due to the excellent match strategy of the coach. The bond between PSG players is not good. There is a conflict between the players. Mbappe is a great player but he is also very selfish. This is also why PSG missed many easy-scoring opportunities. PSG needs a coach who can blend well with the players on the team. Be able to strengthen the bonds between team players.

Yes PSG is very tired to settle them, and in fact not too much to bring PSG to the high table Europa Champions league.
They went to one final but failed against Bayern Munich that is at least shown that they are able to come closely to the trophy. However, after that season PSG failed to maintain that successful momentum and they started to slip down with worse performances in the past three seasons. That is surely not good signal for their capability to win it.

Of course there will be much blames on the coach.
Both PSG fans, the management and the team itself are frustrated. This is because the millions spent on getting those new signings wasn't just to win the Ligue 1 trophy.
I don't think it is fair enough to blame all responsibilities on PSG coaches including their current coach Galtier. Coaches have to cook with ingredients and recipes they are given by PSG owner and sport director. Therefore there are other people who must share responsibilities with PSG coaches and players as well.

People who are at top of the club must ask themselves what they did wrong and must correct such if they want better successful seasons in future.

Marseille won the game and their Chilean player Alexis Sánchez performed very well because he scored both goals for Marseille while he is 34 and far from his young days but this player is shining at this age, he scored 12 goals for his team so far. The interesting thing is currently Marseille needs only seven points to reach PSG even with all the stars PSG has with the money they spent for them.
Yes PSG is very tired to settle them, and in fact not too much to bring PSG to the high table Europa Champions league. Maybe the PSG owner is very regretful to pay the salary, of Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar, because the trio seems like the actor on the movie. their glamour is more worthy if play in a movie or be commercial ads actors than football players. That 7 different points with Marseille is show us, PSG can be eliminated from 1st position if that Higher salary player still play like movie actor.

PSG needed more than just a ligue 1 title. The coach has done his best but was not good enough to convince the Fans. Cuz many (including myself),believes that they are coaches who wouldn't be in that level with those calibres of players in the team.

This was a hard blow for PSG, here it is shown that not everything can be bought by money, PSG's main project was to win the UCL, and they could not beat Messi or Mbappé, what will the sheikh think now? How will they face this new failure? the fútbol they showed was not enough, they are not at the level of a UCL final.

I'm sure PSG would like to have the same luck as Real Madrid, they're not doing well in La Liga but they're doing well in the UCL, plus Real Madrid have a great track record in the UCL showing dream fútbol that's way above from PSG, now if they want to do without the services of Messi and Neymar, how will they hold up? This is something that must be thought about very carefully, they cannot kill the goose that lays the golden eggs.

I am sure that a lot of things could be happening this summer. I think there are three big question marks behind Mbappe, Neymar and Messi. The fans lose interest in keeping Neymar. His stats aren't bad, but he is injured all the time, comes across as if he is 50% motivated at best, and behaves not very professionally too often.

Mbappe is probably the most interesting player here, but his decision might also depend on what the club is going to do during the next transfer period. He knows that they are far behind a club like Bayern. The difference was huge last time. Messi, who knows, if he is really offered over 300 million per season, hard to guess what he is going to do. I would like to see him in a strong league for one more year. I think he is still amazing in contributing to the team either as a scorer or with assists. But no club would be willing to pay him his current salary except for PSG. I would like to see him make a move and perhaps forgo an unreal salary and try his luck with a decent club in a decent league.

There are also many rumors about special clauses in Mbappe's contract, but they are contradictory for the most part. Anyways, I think it would be a waste of an outstanding potential career if Mbappe stays at PSG for another few years. Ligue 1 is just not the place such a player belongs to.

The conditions remain the same, even if what you say is true when you don't have to blame the coach because this is a mistake that must be shared, but still when a team can't win then it is the coach who becomes the target and that has become a real law in football because still coaches play a big role in this. Under these conditions, it was only natural that Galtier would be criticized for PSG's failure.

Can this be a chance for Marseille to catch up with PSG again? I don't think so honestly. Because PSG are still a huge favourite for the title as long as they have a squad like this. I must say especially Messi, Mbappe and Neymar of course. I don't think PSG would maintain a bad form for a long time either. Because they have already been eliminated in the Champions League.

The Ligue 1 is their only focus now. They can't play very complacent from now on if they don't wany any surprise to happen later on. Marseille would do their best at least for securing their current position. It is important to finish in top 2 to join the CL groups directly.
I think Marseille just needs to maintain motivation and performance if they want to catch PSG at the top of the table. To be honest, I'm not worried about PSG even though they lost against Rennes in their last match. PSG are the favorites to win, besides that they also still lead the standings with a 7 point advantage, so I'm not too worried.

Messi and Mbappe failed to win their last match, both had the chance to score but failed. But actually they were just unlucky because PSG's defense in that match was really problematic. They lost a lot of players through injury, but for the next match I think they will correct that mistake. Back to winning ways and that is the hope.
It's an easy thing. Bit would have been much more easier for Marseille if they could maintain consistency. PSG as it stands are prone to losing some matches. They are still not yet coordinated. The team is only existing on the rock of the individual brilliance that fills up the team.
Some matches are still left for PSG which I know they may likely not win due to the current nature of the team. Masseile would have catch PSG off guard even long before now, but they couldn't because Masseille themselves are nòt in a balanced form.

It must be really frustrating for PSG to hear about the seriousness of Neymar's injury. He has always been an injury-prone player and this didn't change in this season as well. Fortunately Mbappe and Messi are still making a great duo together. As long as they have both of them on the pitch from the beginning of the game PSG should still be strong against Bayern Munich.
I expect a better start from PSG this time while they have these players both. If they don't have serious problems with finishing then they can really manage to eliminate their opponent one way or another.
PSG has so far been without Neymar and has only relied on Mbappe and Messi, they are still getting consistent results in several of their matches. Neymar's season is over and it was even rumored that he would leave PSG this summer before he suffered an injury. However, under these circumstances, Neymar would prefer to stay at PSG, after all, no club wants to sign an injured player. Against Bayern Munich in the UCL game the day after tomorrow I think it's not as easy as other matches in Ligue 1 because it's a different competition and for sure PSG will still have difficulty turning things around.
Indeed, PSG got a strong team and especially has powerful forwards even without Neymar, they have Messi and Mbappe and each one of these players can be enough to change the game for this team even for the game against Bayern Munich they still have enough power to perform well against this team also in the French League, there is a gap between PSG and the second team which can be the reason to say they are safe in the first position of the table.
Mbappe and Messi will be PSG's hope of defeating Bayern Munich in the second leg later and that seems to be the thing that the Munich defense is most afraid of if they have to deal with these two players. If the first goal is scored by PSG I think they will control the game. For the Ligue 1 standings nothing can stop PSG and I think now Marseille are starting to struggle to cover that distance.

I agree with you. PSG team was defeated in the first leg. And Mbappe and Messi will definitely need to play well if they want to win in the second leg. Without a good performance from these two players, it is not possible for PSG to win against a team like Bayern Munich. PSG's defense also needs to tighten up. Bayern Munich's attack is strong. If PSG's defense is not strong, they will not be able to resist Munich's players.

As PSG trailed in the first leg, it will be a bit difficult for them to perform well in the second leg. Munich can only qualify for the quarter-finals if they draw this match. The match is also Bayern Munich's home match. I think PSG will not be able to win.

A good performance just from Mbappe and Messi won't by far be enough tonight. The whole team needs to stay concentrated and focused for 90 minutes and whatever comes on top. I think Bayern is the big favorite here, but if PSG wants to have a chance they will need to fix their issues regarding their focus. Often times they have some very strong 60 to 70 minutes of the game, but then there are those moments so often that they lose control over the game and mess up their great performance by losing focus for just small phases in the game, but if that happens against an opponent like Bayern Munich you usually get punished for it.

Today we will have one team again so early on in the Champions League that is going to leave that international stage with a lot of disappointment. Getting kicked out at this stage is hard because these players live for the Champions League and the season is kind of over if you are out in early March.

This was a hard blow for PSG, here it is shown that not everything can be bought by money, PSG's main project was to win the UCL, and they could not beat Messi or Mbappé, what will the sheikh think now? But I think the coaching is not bad, because in Ligue 1 they are in first place in the standings and have a gap of 7 points from Marseille, their closest rival...

Dominating the local league cannot be used as a benchmark for a good team because after all, it seems very natural for PSG to dominate Ligue 1 because PSG has luxurious quality players. Also, when a team has a luxurious squad, it would be more appropriate for PSG to have a better coach because it seems like Christophe Galtier is not used to building teams with top quality players.

So yes, I believe that if PSG have a more experienced coach to build a team with a luxurious squad, then it is possible that PSG will not only dominate Ligue 1 but also the Champions League. Because after all, PSG's main target of having a luxurious squad is to win the Champions League title and not just about Ligue 1.

I think that maybe PSG was formed with the aim of being the Number 1 team to win everything, both Ligue 1 and the UCL and any competition and wow, if they could do it because they have the material to do it, but what they have Unleashed is all kinds of controversy, when they lost Messi left once and for all, they say that he is going to leave PSG, and the truth is that it seems good to me if he does it because PSG can no longer contribute anything to him, as I have said In previous comments, Messi should go to Saudi football, it's calmer, he's relaxed, whatever they want, I wouldn't complicate it, it's much better there than MLS fútbol.

Reims' home record has been one of the best so far and looks like it should be broken after losing to Marseille. Actually, Reims played quite well and took the lead first, but the advantage did not last long because Marseille immediately looked for gaps in the Reims defense so that the opportunities that were created were successfully converted into a return advantage for Marseille. I thought in the second half Reims could have leveled the score, but apparently it didn't go well and they had to put up with a defeat at home to Marseille. Marseille is 7 points away from PSG and as we know PSG has recently started having trouble getting consistent wins, this could be a good opportunity for Marseille to continue to cut the distance from PSG.
yes, Reims still dominated the game, but Marseille did better with the chances they got. a fairly balanced match for the two, even though it had to end with a Marseille win.
I was expecting the second half to see a few more goals, but it turned out that both teams played well enough and didn't allow any mistakes. Sanchez became a savior for Marseille. 2 goals that saved Marseille from defeat and also reduced the point gap with PSG. although it will be quite difficult to catch up with him.
