It was unexpected that the Marseille vs Nice match would end with a score of 1-3 for Nice to win. This result also made Marseille fail to secure 3 points at home and included failing to shorten the distance from PSG at the top of the standings. Hopefully the two clubs that will compete will be able to give their best performance, because I can honestly say I'm worried that one of these two clubs will have unexpected problems. Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich are unmistakably strong clubs in the Champions League, they are even predicted to be the favorite of the other favorites in the last 16.
I believe the motivation of these two clubs is very big, moreover they really want to win in order to advance to the next round in the Champions League this season. We will witness a very hot match.

I agree that PSG would suffer greatly without Mbappe, but I think they can still win with Messi on the roster. It looks funny to me that any time a team is doing a perfect run like winning more than 5 consecutive games like Marseille was doing and it got them to the second place on the standings and when everybody expects them to continue this good run they go and lose right now in the first half of the game 0-2 against Nice.I hope they turn things around as usually when playing at home they have won against Nice and this win is needed just to give fans that glimpse of hope that the Ligue 1 is not over yet.
Nice has been outperforming marseille. Marseille must be working even harder to wake up again. The lose against nice has been making the gap the PSG become even bigger. 3-1 was the final result of the match. I think that there shall be some evaluations of the marseille team. Marseille has more ball possessions but it was still lack in maximizing the chance to make the goals while nice was able to convert some chances into three goals. It seems so difficult for marseille to be even closer with PSG.
PSG is not leading the standing with 8 points gap to the marseille. Poor marseille.

Nice's performance this season has been average. Nobody thought that Marseille would stumble like this against such a team. Basically behind in the semi-finals after Marseille. They scored their first goal in the 38th minute and conceded another goal in the 44th minute. Marseille stepped up their attack in the second half. But due to being behind by two goals, they could not return to the truck. And ended up losing 3-1 to Marseille. If Marseille could get 3 points in this match, they would be only 5 points behind PSG. Marseille missed the chance.

Lens have lost a lot of momentum recently. There was another point loss for them today against Brest this time. Brest aren't a team that can steal any point from Lens while Lens are having a good season normally. But Lens must have lost their concentration these days. Actually they were quite dominant in this match but couldn't show it in the score. They have only one win in their last five matches which has helped Marseille a lot.
Marseille are quite likely to make the point gap with Lens three tonight. They have a home match against Nice. Nice are also one of the in-form teams recently but I have big doubts they can deal with Marseille's attacking strength. Marseille should be winning this.

It is evident that Lens and Marseille have lost a lot of momentum to consistently get full points in every match. They dropped points in some easy games and that has made their rivalry with PSG even more difficult to hope for. Lens and Marseille have gained 8 points difference with PSG who performed brilliantly in the previous match against Toulouse, Messi answered the doubts of many parties by bringing his team to win the match and also scored goals.
Even though PSG are not reinforced by Neymar and Mbappe, I think Messi and several other good players can help PSG perform optimally to win. Only total defensive strategy will make it difficult for PSG to score goals, while if the Ligue 1 teams both appear brave to attack then PSG will likely use that to win. About Messi, he has scored 10 goals and 10 assists in 18 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, he has had his best form this season at PSG but he is not the main actor there.

Mbappe was much needed against Bayern Munich. Mbappe can counterattack very quickly. This would make it easier to break Bayern Munich's defense. But the performance of the Messi and Neymar duo is extraordinary. If these two are able to perform well, it will not be difficult for PSG to beat the Bayern Munich side.

Marseille vs nice game is a really interesting game, nice managed to score two goals on the first half and now marseille managed to close the gap after an hour, now things will heat since both teams are on a great shape and they don't want to lose, this game is especially important for marseille since they want to preserve the second position they are in.
nice is really surprising, they really put a lot of pressure on NICE, even since the first half, NICE has led 2-0. marseille failed to win in this match, they failed to also get closer to PSG, the difference of 8 points must have made PSG's mentality bigger. even though I hoped there was a team that threatened PSG, apparently not.

Messi has always been a great player and he always brings glory whenever he can. It's really a great thing when you have a player like him, Mbappe not being available was the story of the deal but that doesn't change the fact that Messi took care of business and managed to get a win from it all.
I believe that we shouldn't be really be worried all that much for PSG, they may look like the difference between second place and them could always be smaller at times, but they will always win enough to get that gap bigger again and again, then let go off the gas a bit to make sure that they are not really doing anything that could hurt the team, so the losses will come when they can afford it.

Same feeling here for this situation because many were feeling Marseille is having amazing run and their quality and performance are giving good results with this now they have good chance to cut the difference and having better spot after this match, but Nice is doing amazing stuff and at the half-time having lead of the 0 - 2 no easy even now after this we still have 45 minutes and many aspects can happen but as play is going for me this is end of the road for the home team, and they are going to lose points from this match.In last five meetings, we never have any win for the Nice here at Marseille but in today game things are completely different, and they can go through as winner if they are able to steal full three points then surely they could be having 13 points from 5 games which is amazing stuff for them in French League.

At least for these 2 matches you did the same as I did. Monaco is now done and it's an easy win in my opinion and of course the odds are favorable.
But indeed for Lorient we failed at the bet. They still can't make the performance as before and the statistics of their last 5 matches have made Lorient now thrown into 7th position.
Lorient is surely having one of the worst time as once they were fighting hard for the top three ranks and now down to seventh with their performance which is on decline and in last five games they have five points with just one win and their defense issue is surely hurting them badly which is surely needs to fix otherwise they can go down and having spot out of the top ten is surely not good for them after having ideal start of this season and good results in first half of this season. But indeed for Lorient we failed at the bet. They still can't make the performance as before and the statistics of their last 5 matches have made Lorient now thrown into 7th position.
In today match many hopes on them as they are going to play against bottom rank team, and they will try to take good advantage of this but still fail and having goalless draw mean they are falling down and have no fair chance to fight back for the next few weeks as well.

I hope Marseille has a good chance of making the title race even tougher, because Lens haven't been able to keep up the good results recently. So that Lens' position was taken by Marseille, who is currently playing against Nice, even though Nice is not an easy opponent, I hope that Marseille will still be able to get three points in this match.

I don't think it makes any sense to hope for an intensification of the fight for the title, given the fact that any team other than PSG cannot churn out victories without problems. Look at the game quotes (and this is Marseille playing against an average team at home):
1.93 - 3.05 - 4.40
The bookmakers give an incredibly generous 1.93 (assuming Marseille is really strong), but I guess I fold
