No one really knows when the PSG team will perform well in the Champions League. PSG's performance in the Champions League is lacking and other smaller teams are ahead of them in terms of performance. Personally so far I think PSG is the best club for Ligue 1.

In as much as I admire what Lens is doing, I doubt they can keep it up after this season. We saw it with Lille and Monaco. For you to remain at that level as a top team you need to sign top players and Lens don't have the facilities for that.
Even this season, despites PSG's poor form they cant still climb top of the table because they lack a lot of things that the big teams have and that is the reason I admire them a lot. For them to be where they are with the kind of resources they have is something to be applauded.

An amazing fightback by Lille in second half of the match and win against Rennes which was flying high at the fifth spot but now things looking not favourable with this big lost at home as they have early lead through Gouiri, but they were unable to hold this and struggle badly in second half with visitors done amazing performance and bring themselves to level just after 15 minutes through Zhegrova and have complete hold on the match for rest of the time after this late two goals from Cabella and Gomes give them interesting win.

With this now, they are having just 2 points difference from Rennes for the fifth spot which is also good challenging situation for them from here things are looking interesting for the top ranks fight in French Ligue 1.

Despite the absence of Mbappe-Neymar. Messi has been able to perform brilliantly. PSG was able to get a remarkable victory through Messi's goal. Lionel Messi is a living legend. I think he will record like this till the end of his career.

Not only Messi is a savior to his club, but also to his country. Leo has scored a number of superb goals for both club and country this season. As things stand, Lionel Messi's contract expires at the end of the season, so we won't see him again in the French league. I think he shouldn't renew because of the way he was treated.

Hopefully the two clubs that will compete will be able to give their best performance, because I can honestly say I'm worried that one of these two clubs will have unexpected problems. Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich are unmistakably strong clubs in the Champions League, they are even predicted to be the favorite of the other favorites in the last 16.
I believe the motivation of these two clubs is very big, moreover they really want to win in order to advance to the next round in the Champions League this season. We will witness a very hot match.

Clermont Foot - AS Monaco FC

I bet on Monaco who are winning at the moment, they managed to score 2 goals, but as it is already known that Monaco has serious problems in the defense so the safest thing is to wait until the end of the game that we will see with 100% if they won or no. I have some hope that they can come out of this game with a victory, I hope I am right on my bet, Clermont is a team that should not be underestimated, because they come into this game with a sequence of 5 games without losing, that's why monaco needs to be very careful



FC Lorient - Angers SCO

without a doubt this is a very important game for Angers that they need to win to leave the relegation zone, but I bet on FC Lorient, they have had mixed results in the last few games, with 2 wins, 2 losses and 1 draw, but for what I could see they are a team that manages to score goals, while their opponent Angers comes into this game with a sequence of 5 games without winning and without getting at least 1 point, they are going through a bad moment

I believe that the lost of Psg is bigger than the lost of psg. Kyliam Mbappe is a moving force both in psg and France and any team that losses him has lost a big player.
In the case of Manuel Neuer, he is replaceable and with a good defence he might not be missed easily.
But for Mbappe, no matter how good the attack is, Mbappe will always be missed in any attack lane. His pace and influence would be missed.

Clermont Foot might end up giving Monaco more GF this season. It barely 25' and Monaco the visiting team is already two goals ahead of the home team. Maripan just scored 3' after the match commenced and Embolo gave the second goal 13' later. This might be a boring game at the end of the day.

Right, we get it guys, Messi's amazing. But aren't today's games a lot more exciting?

I'm trying to make up for a bad weekend and I've went for Monaco on ML on the first game now ongoing -- thinking surely they're incentivised to make up some ground over a PSG that seems to be teetering and resting on their Argentinian talisman. So far so good, already 2-0 up. Love for Embolo, when Mina?

Yes, that's what we often see in competitions with a higher level. teams that don't look so good in the League can also do very well in the Champions League. they have an extraordinary motivation to perform better.
but in the case of PSG and Munich, I think it's different. these two are a strong team. whatever the current conditions, I believe both of them will still show their best playing quality.
Munich lost a goalkeeper and PSG lost a striker. the fight will still be fine I think, and will still be fun.

In the last two matches, Galtier has strengthened his team's defense more closely, and we can see that in the PSG vs Monpellier match and last night's match against Toulouse. Galtier, no longer applies his formation with three defenders on the defensive line.  in the match vs Toulouse, Galtier implemented a 4-3-1-2 formation. which means, four defenders on the defensive line, three players as pivots, one playmaker and two spearheads.
IMO. it's a shame, PSG don't have midfielders who are really creative in terms of helping attack schemes. in particular, a very creative attacking midfielder. As for Vithinha, it looks like he has to explore his abilities to the limits he has. the rest, don't really stand out in terms of consistent contributions.


I think PSG have defenders who have quality to rely on. it was just, how Galtier implemented his formation.  not infrequently, Galtier prefers to use a formation with an attacking pattern. which means, leaving only three defenders on the defensive line. and as we know, PSG always struggles when they meet opponents who tend to defend. not infrequently, goals that are created by opponents are always through counter-attack schemes. and in my opinion, that is where the weak side of the formation that Galtier uses.

By the way, what I'm saying is only based on my personal perspective.

What someone learnt in the youthful age cannot be forgotten easily in the old age. In as much as Messi is still playing football he can always and he will always score wonderful goals.
Psg may likely seem that they are better than Bayern Munich for now but there is a spirit that comes with champions league and when that spirit comes the game will move to another level of vibration.

Messi does not extend contract with PSG. This suggests that we may not see Messi with the PSG team next season. PSG needs experienced players now. If Mbappe is interested in taking Bernardo Silva into the team, it's no fault of his. PSG's overall performance will be well stabilized if Mbappe settles in with Bernardo Silva. Mbappe is probably not interested in keeping Neymar in the squad either. So I wouldn't be surprised if the PSG management decides to sell Neymar next season.

He still has a good fine form wherever he goes he will score great goals

Messi has become a savior for PSG from getting draw again. I meant messi's goal was making the club can save three points from toulouse. There was another problem was coming for PSG. It seems like that mbappe has been forcing PSG to buy bernardo silva from manchester city. Messi will be gone soon and it seems like that mbappe was giving PSG a suggestion for a player to replace messi in PSG. We will not see messi again in the french league.

PSG won the match 2-1 against Toulouse but without Neymar Mbappe and Sergio Ramos. But this match was not so easy for PSG. PSG scored in their own net in just 20 minutes. The next period was only PSG. A. Hakimi (38') scored in the minute to bring their team level. Later in the first half, no team saw any more goals. Later in the second half, PSG tried many times to score on the field, but they failed to score again and again because they did not have enough opportunities. Later, L. Messi (58') scored a goal to give PSG a one-goal lead. Neither team saw a goal for the next 90 minutes, resulting in a 2–1 win for PSG against Toulouse.

Messi, Hakimi, and Soler all performed well. The combined performance of these three made PSG's win easy. However, there are still some weaknesses within the PSG team. Their defense is not strong enough. Besides, without Mbappe, PSG's counterattack is a bit slow. Messi and Mbappe play completely opposite styles. I think this is why Galtier is not able to develop a proper match strategy.

Paris Saint Germain will play without their top scorer

Even though there are still two other strikers such as Messi and Neymar, Mbappe's absence will reduce the pressure on PSG's front line as they usually do

PSG's biggest problem is in their defense, they even hired Sergio Ramos to make them have a stronger defense, it even worked at first when Sergio Ramos was playing but then the defense started to make a lot of mistakes in defence, but as PSG's attack is very efficient and they score goals, PSG wins games and remains at the top and consequently becomes champion

the problem with that is that PSG aims to win the european champions league, and when a team is in the european champions league, that team must have a very strong defense and a very strong attack, it's enough for the team to score in a game 1 goal and defend well to go through the group stages and become champions, champions league games are won based on the strategy of having a good defense, something that PSG does not have
