Marseille are the most attracting team in the league these days in terms of recent form. They have been winning for six weeks in the league.
-snip-
Marseille played poorly for a while before recovering but this cost them a lot. Fortunately there was few failure in both PSG and Lens, otherwise they weren't able to catch.
Right now Marseille is playing vs Rennes in French Cup, the result is still 0-0 in the first minutes of the game

Marseille are the most attracting team in the league these days in terms of recent form. They have been winning for six weeks in the league. This has helped them catch up with Lens a lot as they have dropped the point difference to only two points. They have regained their form at the beginning of the season now but it won't be easy to maintain it for a much longer time. To be able to capture the second place from Lens, Marseille must keep up this great job.
This winning streak has managed to get them into 3rd place for a while now.
After a not-so-good start they have finally returned to where they are now and of course this is getting a little better even though it is still quite a long way to catch PSG.
In the next match they will face Monaco which of course they are also still quite strong now and this can be a test for Marseille. But it's not the time to pay attention to that as they still seem to be focused on their French Cup opponent which is happening against Rennes right now.

What is the exact reason PSG accepted this friendly? I am sure there was some money involved that part is obvious but they are not the type of team that actually needs the money, they are pretty rich anyway. I also checked the owners, and PSG seems to have owners from Qatar whereas Al-Nassr is a Saudi team, so it is not that neither.
Money is their main goal, they want to expand their football to the Middle East, but what makes me pitied is PSG's loss versus Rennes which has made me some money loss. we certainly suspect PSG don't play seriously on friendly match, because the match have sponsor to make the game is interesting to watch. So, it just tires them out because have Coupe de France versus Pays de Cassel on the next 5 days.
Money is surely having his impact, but one other thing is also having big impact in last few months specially after the hosting of world cup now these Gulf regions are very serious about this soccer adventure, and they are investing big amounts for having big names of soccer in their clubs with many Arabs are already buying clubs in UEFA.

But, recently we have good trend they are investing big amounts on their own leagues as well with this all PSG which is also had Qatari connections having shakes hands with Al-Nasser for this game which create good hype for soccer in Saudi Arab which is also now looking for the hosting of World Cup in 2030 or 2034, and they are already involved in this all for giving good image of this region with this game.

Of course there are many weaker teams than Marseille in the league. But the number of decent teams isn't too low. Marseille had successful games against some of them like Monaco and Lyon on the past weeks. Now I see that they have another Monaco game next week. Marseille will be my favourite again despite Monaco's decent form also.

I think besides about money of course to promote more about the Arab league of course.
This condition is the main attraction. imagine how many million eyes are on this match, especially with the big score in this match.
Even though the match was very exciting, of course for this business it would be something else because of course with the play of their star players in this match I think many will see the Arab league competition in the end, especially with the name Ronaldo also there.
Yeah, the friendly was a better way to promote the Arab professional league. The game was widely viewed and was a good way of creating awareness of Europe football that a big name like CR7 is currently playing in the Arab professional league. Though there was money involved, I don't think it was just business, it also created a relationship between Arab football and France League, and I believe there will be friendlies like this in subsequent times.
Regardless of anything, Ronaldo's presence there has had an extraordinary effect, coupled with the arrival of PSG there with a full team and clearly playing this will make them even more elevated. The closeness of the Arab club owners to several big clubs could have brought more things there and it is not impossible that there are other clubs owned by other Middle Eastern Sheikhs such as Manchester City or Newcastle will follow in this footsteps because apart from anything other than promoting their own club as well to raise the league in his country.
PSG could be the first but on the other hand there will be a few more to follow and I'm pretty sure about that.

I'm sorry you lost money because of a game like this. Nobody would think PSG would lose points to teams like this. And that's why we saw a result in the previous match that surprised many, the team is not playing as well in their last match and now they have two losses, while they were expecting the League to finish undefeated. I think in the next match they will not leave it to chance and they will play much better. They need to play at normal level to win the France Cup, they need to be a little more serious in the match Smiley

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
But indeed, regardless of any speculation about the improvements to be made related to the promotion of the Arab League in this match, it is still very entertaining.
4 Stars are very expensive playing at the same time, I think this is really worth watching especially they also look quite serious even though to be honest in this match I stopped watching in the second half after the great players they were replaced because I just wanted to see Ronaldo and Messi and other stars like Neymar and Mbappe played, after they were replaced I stopped watching Cheesy
I really got lost at the same scenario too yunno; when the superstars that had my interest got substituted...
I'm sure that the Saudis have made alot of cash from that particular friendly match... I don't Have a doubt that it would have happened if Ronaldo wasn't at nassr...cus it hasn't before,if at all -- for a long while now. I saw the transformation in the game when Ronaldo got hold of the ball as an equalizer, just few minutes after Messi scored the first goal of the game. The performances were unique from both sides but without Ronaldo in nassr, maybe they'd just go away with 1 or 2 goal to the 5 goals scored by PSG.

I just can't think when a team with a rich owner still needs money just from friendly matches which will only drain players' stamina. Meanwhile, PSG's situation in Ligue 1 and also the Champions League seems to be still inconsistent, so playing in these friendly matches will only waste players' stamina for nothing because it is only to bring together Messi and Ronaldo and it is better for PSG to focus more on preparing for matches in the Champions League.

Because if the reason for introducing soccer is even wider, I personally don't agree, because soccer has become a famous sport in the world. Also, with Ronaldo playing in Saudi Arabia I think that is enough to prove that the sport of football is very big and famous.

I am not entirely sure what the reason is at all. Like if it was the same owners then I could understand too but that's not the case. So whey do they accept it, just for money? I really do not see why they would need the money from this game, they are a pretty rich team with very wealthy owners who have billions, what could this game offer that they don't have?

This match was organized solely for entertainment and business. There was nothing to play for, so PSG didn't put in their best. And the match achieved its goal because it was filled with goal feasts and entertainment. Ronaldo is putting his best in Saudi Arabia. I hope the Saudi league would keep on bringing football stars to its teams and organizing such entertaining friendly matches. I just hope that the Saudi league would be able to recover or gain from their investment. Roanldo and Messi really lived up to expectations and the fans enjoyed the game.
No doubt about PSG match against Riyadh XI for entertainment and business only due both team have star player, between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi still give excited impact for fans around the world and I heard ticket sold out although have highest price. Current I checked with PSG Youtube channel loss almost 250K viewer without ten second after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo change above 70th minutes.

I think Lionel Messi have expectation move to Saudi Pro League due not extended contract with PSG because his contract expiry on June 2023, have confirmed about he will discuss about extended contract or not with PSG after FIFA World Cup 2022 but almost one month ended still not reach personal agreement between PSG and Lionel Messi.

There is one match in the Coupe de France match today but it is a really big one. Marseille are hosting Rennes tonight and Marseille are highly favoured for the win in this match. These two teams are competing for the Champions League spots in the Ligue 1 on one hand. Marseille are in a much better condition of course with a lasting winning streak. Rennes have lost a couple of matches lately and they would like to make up for it in this cup match surely.

The last time they played against each other resulted in Rennes' victory. This might be Marseille's time. I assume they will care about this cup as much as the league. There isn't a single time they won this cup in the past. While they are having a decent season they should go for this title also.
Let's look at their meeting record, Marseille and Rennes have been able to beat each other in their last 5 matches, 2 wins for Marseille and 2 wins for Rennes, while 1 other ended in a draw. And what's interesting about their meeting is that every time they win, they always win at their home games, both Marseille and Rennes. Thus, maybe the same result will also occur in this match, namely with Marseille winning.

I think Marseille are more likely than Lens to finish the season at the second position in the standings. The point gap is quite close now and I won't be surprised if Marseille get ahead of them in the near future. Marseille have a much better squad before anything else. They are able to show this by their performance these days as well. They are still on a nice winning streak.
Lens still beat them by 1-0 away before though but I think the scenario could be different when they play against each other again. Marseille have a really good team effort now and the Troyes game was one of the good examples for it.
Currently, Marseille can focus more on Ligue 1 competence after being eliminated from the Champions League. Marseille had experienced difficult weeks, after playing matches with a busy schedule. Plus, some of the players are exhausted, also, some are injured. in the second half of this season, Marseille progressed with three wins which left Igor Tudor's army only two points apart from 2nd place in the standings, Lens. therefore, Marseille has the potential to return to second place in the Ligue 1 standings, especially if Lens slips in the following matches.
IMO, Marseille has better depth than Lens, and Igor Tudor's squad should be able to boost their players to perform with stable performance.
On the other hand, Lens also have matches that should be easy for them in the next few weeks. it's just that, I quite doubt they will still appear with a very stable performance. at its peak, Lens has a game against Marseille, also has matches against other tough teams like visiting PSG headquarters. for sure, Lens will find it difficult to maintain their ranking on the Ligue 1 standings.

Lens did have a few problems in recent matches. They did not lose any among the last 5 but they did draw two matches in the last 5. But on the other hand, Marseille is playing very well and they have not lost even one match in the last 5. So in terms of form, they are ahead of Lens. Lens does have an easy match in the next one. So I expect them to win that match.

On the other hand, Marseille has a tough match. They still should be able to win that match but any mistake from them can result otherwise. And they obviously cannot draw that match.

Yes, totally agree, although Lens has other problems, they have managed to beat a PSG that came with very high morale, but now Marseille and Lens have very good performances, we can take stock and LIGUE 1 is getting very Well, for now these teams are making the grade, if these teams had started like this at the beginning the results would be very even, that's something that happens in almost all leagues, but it can get a bit complicated. PSG is something that causes us all a lot of emotion, because Ligue 1 already had a bit of boredom, this puts it in a different color, we must continue to see how they continue to develop.

Obviously, these friendlies are going to make a lot of money and I agree with what you said, their main goal is money. but on the other hand, several rumors reported that the friendly match between PSG against All Nassr was not fully approved by Manager Rudi Garcia. the coach All Nassr was not happy because the match was held in the middle of the competition. according to the coach, Garcia realized that this friendly match would be important for the PSG players to maintain their fitness. plus, PSG includes all its star players.

Different from All Nassr, after undergoing a friendly match against PSG. All Nassr will face the Saudi Arabian league match against Al Ettiffaq, on Monday. on the other hand, PSG has a two-week break after the match against Rennes. PSG will play Ligue 1 matches later this month.

Well, apart from the money, they also want to expand Arab football, they have a great project for the world to see that great football is being developed in Arabia, however, with a team like PSG that has so many stars involved, it was enough. as for CR7 to shine, and it is something that the fans were very happy about, also this not only helps to give Al Nassr more vision but also shows that these Arab teams have very good football, it is incredible, but those 4 goals The games that were played were very good, and PSG, for their part, was also great, but I hope they continue to play these kinds of games because with that you can see the level of these Arab teams, which are not bad at all.

Saudi All-Star XI vs PSG: Will Messi & Ronaldo ever play each other again?

Quote
It's an individual rivalry that so many spent their formative years watching. Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi, the endless playground and office debate that rolled on for so long as each posted more and more ridiculous numbers that had never been seen before.

With Messi being 35 years old and Ronaldo being 37, the height of that rivalry is far behind. Many will say that it was put to bed when within a calendar month of each other, Messi lifted the World Cup with Argentina and Ronaldo signed for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia after having his Manchester United contract terminated.

Give all before death
PSG are playing a friendly match against Al-Nassr right now. The first half was really lovely as we watched 4 goals in total. It feels great to watch Ronaldo and Messi playing against each other again after a long time. Both of them scored goals in the first half.
That was a great fun to watch the match because both rival meet after long time, but I am worried about PSG defense they has big big player like Ramos and Marquinhos in defense but still there a big issue in his defense through which they still can't stop the weak team like Al-nasr attack same like against nennes. I taught this will be one sided game but they score 2 against PSG in first half, no doubt they win but defense was quite worrying. If they play with same defense and same lineup I am pretty sure that Bayern will score huge against them due to bad defense.

That friendly match is mutually beneficial for two clubs. All Nassr and PSG both have a free chance to advertise their clubs to new nations and yes it is free. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are still hottest players even Cristiano has one of worse seasons in his career. Not many people in French and Europe knew about All Nassr before this match and it is a big marketing booster for them. PSG knows Asian countries especially Middle East nations are great places to get new fans and income for their club so this match makes sense.

Such a match is not be able to buy with money. And this match was hosted shortly after a transfer of Cristiano to All Nassr and Saudi Arabia when it is still very hot. If a similar friendly match is hosted months later in next summer, it won't  be hot as as same as now.

It was a 9-goal thriller. Even though it was just a friendly match, they scored 2 goals against one of the greatest teams in history. There was no focus on the result, because they were clearly struggling. The match was only a friendly, so it doesn't seem like PSG played competitively. A red card also went PSG's way, so they're doing well with only 10 players. Riyadh All-Stars captured my heart because statistics matter more than winning.

It is common knowledge that money will be a factor in why they want to go through this friendly match. Maybe there will also be cooperation in the future that will benefit them. However they had considered everything when they came to a friendly match. Apart from all that, I feel comforted in this match because the two teams are returning goals, and also of course we see the best players in the world on the same field and also they score beautiful goals. So I enjoy their game.
