Now tell me those players who would play in the PSG in the farm league and would have the worst statistics? I want to know all three (or five?) of these names  Grin
As for Barcelona, I do not agree with you - the main ones were Iniesta and Xavi. Without Messi, they took the gold of the European Championships and the World Cup, while Messi looked pale without them.

@KTChampions it’s kinda unfair to compare Messi in his prime while playing for Barcelona, and the current Messi who’s reaching the end of his career but for what’s it worth I too feel that he’s having an excellent season and he’ll only get better if he remains fit.

Furthermore even after they two left Messi stayed back and helped Barcelona win matches, and currently at PSG he’s acting as a provider which shows that he wants to play for the team and not chase individual glory which proves what a great player he is.

I'm not comparing the young with the old, but with theoretical competitors - in my opinion, playing at PSG is easy to have such statistics. And in general, I am annoyed by the empty PR noise when, for example, Messi makes three assists in a game against Claremont (lol) - all the media write about it as an "achievement". And when Gnabry makes three assists in a game against Barcelona, it's referred to as "nothing special".

I also think that it is still early to make sure about Marseille to have regained their strength back. It was an important victory over Lyon indeed. They needed this win to improve their morale. They suddenly started a horrible streak and stopping it with a win in a big match was important for them.

The Monaco match will be even a bigger one for Marseille. Monaco are already favoured @2.26. They have the same points with Marseille now. And Marseille won their last head-to-head match here by a 2-0 score as well. Marseille win option @3.00 is trying to get into my head now.  Grin  Marseille would make use of a win in another big match very much to be honest. But maybe it is safer to add both teams to score @1.59 to a parlay as both of these teams are quite productive.
Important victory when beating Lyon 1-0 for Marseille after several bad result actually eliminated from Champion League, faced with bad result at last several games in Ligue 1, Marseille try to wake up back and won from Lyon 1-0 could be capital faced for next games against Monaco for last match before World Cup.

Based on standing position both team have the same points but Monaco favored with playing home, actually I don't think excited to bet for Monaco with @2.26 odd than Marseille have @3.00. Seems this match have chance to draw or Marseille can continue the winning record and fix position standing on the table after drop to fourth position.

There is no team in the world of football that psg cannot face squarely, there is no team. Psg is a complete team with the three of the most dangerous attackers in the world.  This might be the last time these three will fight together and I believe they will fight with their last strength this time around. If there is any team to underrate it shouldn't be psg.
Yes it is true, no team can underestimate Paris Saint Germain with their luxurious squad like that. But unfortunately I see the advantages they have can not be maximized properly. I mean Paris Saint Germain always fight against strong teams, even if they can't achieve maximum results. I would say that in the squad they don't have the same fancy chemistry as the players in the team.

Here I agreed with you it's never been ideal to compare players like these on different era's even right now Messi is old but still have strong companions and can do many things which are possible for them in current season for their team but right now main focus is World cup instead of things like these because now we are just few days away from world cup and for the Champions League matches we hare nearly three months and things could be changed, and we can expect any things during this time period which also can create problems for many teams.

Here now PSG currently in super form and they are going to face Bayern Munich which is also back in business after having bad period with their form but still they have done good job in early round of Champions League with thrash Barcelona and Inter, so any result is possible and for me Messi could be vital player but right now his focus is world cup for his country.

Of course, Marseille has just come off a bad trend. In their last 5 matches in all competitions, Marseille suffered 4 defeats and one draw. victory over Lyon, can be a motivation to lift their morale against Monaco later. these two teams have the same points, with 27 points from 14 matches in Ligue 1.

If we look at the statistics from the standings, these two teams have something in common. in 14 matches, they won 8 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. of course in this match, Monaco is more superior than Marseille. besides they played at their own base, Stade Louis II. Monaco is in a better form than Marseille. in their last 4 matches in all competitions, Monaco only got one draw and even then in the Europa League match.

however, if we refer to the odds held by Manaco and Marseille, Monaco's advantage is that they play at home at odds @2.26 while Marseille's odds are @3.00. my estimation in this match, Marseille will win this match.
Right now both teams are on level in quality, but performance is clearly favouring Monaco which is doing good for the last few weeks and now having good spot after poor start of this season and Marseille is suffering badly in last few matches with they have first won against Lyon which was also not impressive because they win this match by 1 - 0.

But, their away form is good and this is positive going into their favour but with Monaco is playing currently they are doing their best for having higher rank before this break showing their commitment and things are also interesting for both teams here most chances Monaco could be in better position instead of Marseille and if they are going to lose any point then surely it's going to hurt them badly even it's last match before break, and they can do positive strategy during this break but as their form going they have to end on good note.

Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are three strikers who would be terrible if they were at their best. While Bayern Munich is more likely to rely on the physicality and speed of its players in terms of counter-attacks. I believe PSG will beat Bayern Munich this season, but this is a prediction that might be wrong when we know how the two teams will be.
The MMN trio is a deadly trio that is indeed very threatening in the league, their impressive game often easily destroys the defense of every PSG opponent in the league, currently if we talk about the league maybe we can't deny that PSG is the king of Ligue 1, but if we talk about the champions league Of course it's hard to say if PSG is a strong competitor even though they have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar because I think in the Champions League of course experience and mentality are the main capital to become a champions league competitor, the round of 16 match is of course a pretty tough main test For PSG because they have to face a very experienced team like Bayern Munich, I personally believe that the match between PSG and Bayern Munich will be very tight but I have more confidence that Munich will qualify for the next round.

I still haven't seen what the revival moment for Marseille will be in this regard.
They still haven't been able to make this good enough and despite a win with Lyon in the previous week but it was still a narrow win and they were still cornered at the time just holding on.
I personally am still not quite sure about them, especially since the opponent they will face is Monaco and the advantage is clearly in Monaco considering they played at home when they hosted Marseille in their last match before the holiday.

Bayern Munich is a solid team no doubt about that but playing against a team like PSG that has a trio of attackers in the likes of Messi, Neymar and Mbappe I don't think it will be an easy game for Bayern Munich. Regardless of the performance of Bayern in the group stage and the points they have and the quality of players in the team, PSG is a strong opposition if you ask me because they have a good advantage to win against Bayern Munich through attack and the name Messi in the team which gives PSG an edge over teams, especially during tough competitions like the Champions League, PSG is likely to win Bayern and progress to the next round through the attackers and the big names in the team.
PSG have a good advantage over Bayern Munich at the moment. I don't think PSG will be so weak compared to Bayern Munich who made it to the last 16 with such good form, so this match will definitely be tighter than the previous match in the group stage.

I really wonder why many football fans think that bayern munchen will be the favor team in this match, psg is very strong right now and the fact that they qualified in the second spot this really don't mean anything, i expect Bayern munchen to win and qualify for the next round

The truth is that Bayern munich are strong favorites; not just because they are Bayern munich but the fact that they have a complete quality squad. To add context, Bayern got 18 points from a group of Barcelona, Inter and maccabi. PSG could not even top their group. The PSG VS Bayern tie will be won in the midfield; whoever dictates the play over the 2 legs wins the knockout round

Calm down, he doesn't seem serious about his opinion, I know that.  Cheesy
As you said, Messi had a great season at PSG for his second season. This is clearly evident even though PSG will not be able to win the Champions League title later.

Furthermore even after they two left Messi stayed back and helped Barcelona win matches, and currently at PSG he’s acting as a provider which shows that he wants to play for the team and not chase individual glory which proves what a great player he is.
We both know how Messi is and what he has given for the club, despite all that he is not the only player who works for the club so it takes cooperation between other players so that success can be achieved at the end of a competitive season. I believe Messi is still the best player of his age compared to other players, so don't hesitate about that.

However, if Messi is not in form, PSG will not be able to win against Bayern Munich.
lets we see next, this is his last performance, and discontinued if lost against Bayern Munich, because Messi's contract finishes 2023 in that possibly move to another country and club where doesn't need his age or skill, when he moved, then he won't be able again to see Champion League, so I think he will fight to be the last winner for this session.
I don't think any result in the Champions League for Messi will have any impact on his future because for sure PSG will keep trying to renew no matter what happens.
So far there has been some discussion about Messi's contract although Messi has remained silent on the grounds of the world cup which means I feel pretty sure whatever happens to the Champions League Messi will still be prioritized.

... And now we see Messi playing both midfielder and forward roles. If Messi can continue this performance, the Argentina team can qualify for the finals in the World Cup. And can win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League as well. However, if Messi is not in form, PSG will not be able to win against Bayern Munich.

It's Messi's year, sometimes I think that Messi came to PSG just to train for the world cup, let's be honest that's what interests him, in terms of his way of playing from a tactical point of view you have a good point there.

Bayern?  Let's go by parts first  must win the world cup.    Smiley                                                                                                                                                ,

Not your keys, not your coins!
Messi is in much better form than last season. And Messi's performance is good in every match.
He gets a better mentality in this season. In the past season, he just joined PSG in very last days before closing of a transfer market and he left Barcelona with big disappointment that all affected his performance. In this season, he did not have similar disappointment in summer preseason training and at beginning of season so he is more ready to play with his best.

Quote
Messi's role behind PSG's good performance in every match despite not scoring goals is undeniable. Messi is now PSG's playmaker. Messi strengthened the bond between PSG's midfield and forwards. And now we see Messi playing both midfielder and forward roles.
He is genius and we already saw it in Barcelona. Messi can play at all positions in an attacking system but in PSG, he has changed and played more regularly as a play maker as well as in midfield because he must has that adaption when he becomes older. He must avoid direct physical competitions with other players to avoid injuries and to prolong his career as longest as possible.

Quote
If Messi can continue this performance, the Argentina team can qualify for the finals in the World Cup. And can win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League as well. However, if Messi is not in form, PSG will not be able to win against Bayern Munich.
The World Cup will be the last tournament for Messi in Arghentina jersey. I think most of football fans will be happy to see Messi lifting the World Cup trophy in Quatar. He deserves to get it but in football, many great players did not achieve trophies they wanted.

Some legendary players even did not win Champions League in their career like Ronaldo Nazario de Lima (Brazil)

In my opinion, Messi does not show anything special this season (but compared to the disastrous last season, he certainly performs better). Neymar, in my opinion, performs more brigtly and this is reflected in his statistics. But in general, PSG remains not a star team, but a team of stars, so such a standard of team play as Bayern for me will be a favorite in this confrontation.

Sorry, I can't agree with you. Messi is playing well this season. He scored 7 goals and 10 assists in 12 Ligue 1 matches. Does it perform well? However, if we compare Messi's performance in Barcelona with his current performance, then this performance will not be good. But don't forget that Messi was the most important player in the Barcelona team. And the match strategy was made based on him. The players of the team helped Messi a lot to score goals. But Messi is not the main striker in PSG. Messi's performance at PSG suggests he is primarily a midfielder. And his main job is to create scoring chances. And considering this aspect, Messi is performing very well this season.

Now tell me those players who would play in the PSG in the farm league and would have the worst statistics? I want to know all three (or five?) of these names  Grin

Marseille have just come back from a slump by picking up points in this week's game, it is undeniable that their 4 matches without a win will lower their confidence a bit. But they were lucky enough with their only goal in the first half which they could defend until the end of the game. Yes even though they did not play optimally in the match, but this result will make them more confident for their next match.
A better position than now is also very possible for Marseille to achieve if the consistency starts to improve again, because I don't think that Marseille can be at the top. Because it belongs to PSG that cannot be taken by other teams, but to be in second place is still very possible as long as Marseille are able to improve their game to be better than now or in the next match for Marseille.
I still haven't seen what the revival moment for Marseille will be in this regard.

Maybe he means when compared with any player like Neymar and Mbappe. I also still bit feel Messi is a bit selfish on the front for this session, maybe because he wants the world to know he is still better and wants to show the last skill before retiring. but, I admit Messi is a better performance from the last session, he looks to find what he wants to bring PSG to the top. Maybe he has a purpose to create the last achievement as a legend of 2 big clubs, Barcelona and PSG when able to bring the champions league title this year.
