As for Barcelona, I do not agree with you - the main ones were Iniesta and Xavi. Without Messi, they took the gold of the European Championships and the World Cup, while Messi looked pale without them.
@KTChampions it’s kinda unfair to compare Messi in his prime while playing for Barcelona, and the current Messi who’s reaching the end of his career but for what’s it worth I too feel that he’s having an excellent season and he’ll only get better if he remains fit.
Furthermore even after they two left Messi stayed back and helped Barcelona win matches, and currently at PSG he’s acting as a provider which shows that he wants to play for the team and not chase individual glory which proves what a great player he is.
I'm not comparing the young with the old, but with theoretical competitors - in my opinion, playing at PSG is easy to have such statistics. And in general, I am annoyed by the empty PR noise when, for example, Messi makes three assists in a game against Claremont (lol) - all the media write about it as an "achievement". And when Gnabry makes three assists in a game against Barcelona, it's referred to as "nothing special".
