Judging from the consistency that Marseille has shown and looking at the statistics in the previous few seasons, it's still possible, but on the other hand, I'm currently expecting a lot more from Lens.

I might correct a little in this regard because even from the last 3 seasons PSG has always been said to have great potential but in the end they always miss it because of the lack of performance aimed at the Champions League.
Not to make it bad for PSG but I think even this season I'm a bit skeptical of them. As long as they do the same thing especially from a coaching point of view I don't think they will do much because experience is also important and Galtier at the moment even though he is still good enough but I think for the Champions League he is still lacking in experience.

PSG are going to have one of their toughest fixtures in the league in two days. It is an away match against Rennes and PSG don't have a very good history against them in this stadium since 2018. It was the last time they were able to defeat Rennes here. Since then Rennes have been really impressive by keeping them away from a win. Considering that Rennes are having a decent season now, I think they are a threat to PSG again. Lens defeated PSG by a very satisfying score recently so it isn't very low possibility for Rennes as well.

However this time is different for PSG as well. Because they will have Mbappe, Neymar and Messi all unlike that Lens match. This changes everything and I think they can break a leg against Rennes here finally. But I don't think it will be a very comfortable victory.

This is the type of team Lens is, I know many people expected a lot more from them and even wanted to see them fight against PSG because we are tired of seeing PSG dominated the league and all, but they are the type of team that would drop points at unexpected moments because they are not as good as people think they are.

The reality is that we are going to see PSG win it again, and they have such amazing squad that I am pretty sure they would beat 50%+ of the teams if they didn't had neymar-mbappe-messi trio, like literally all of that would be gone and they could still beat more than half of the league which is a great power to have for sure.

It was a very tough rivalry for PSG this season starting in the round of 16 because of some of the results of their meetings in past matches, Bayern Munich won more matches, even in the Champions League final in 2019 - 2020 PSG was defeated by Bayern Munich so for this season is another opportunity for PSG to repay him from the start because PSG already have a very complete player with some great stars in it.

They shouldn't slack when it comes to winning the league title for france league because lens are currently chasing them behind closely so they should bear that in mind of any slight drop of points the league one title this season will be a thing to talk about no more this season.
They have the qualities both attack midfielder's and defender's as also same to the coaching staffs and coach, I see they have the mindset of winning the Champions League.

If PSG have no rivals, then I really don't know what Ligue 1 is for.

Lens still beat them by 1-0 away before though but I think the scenario could be different when they play against each other again. Marseille have a really good team effort now and the Troyes game was one of the good examples for it.

Currently, Marseille can focus more on Ligue 1 competence after being eliminated from the Champions League. Marseille had experienced difficult weeks, after playing matches with a busy schedule. Plus, some of the players are exhausted, also, some are injured. in the second half of this season, Marseille progressed with three wins which left Igor Tudor's army only two points apart from 2nd place in the standings, Lens. therefore, Marseille has the potential to return to second place in the Ligue 1 standings, especially if Lens slips in the following matches.
IMO, Marseille has better depth than Lens, and Igor Tudor's squad should be able to boost their players to perform with stable performance.
On the other hand, Lens also have matches that should be easy for them in the next few weeks. it's just that, I quite doubt they will still appear with a very stable performance. at its peak, Lens has a game against Marseille, also has matches against other tough teams like visiting PSG headquarters. for sure, Lens will find it difficult to maintain their ranking on the Ligue 1 standings.

Lens did have a few problems in recent matches. They did not lose any among the last 5 but they did draw two matches in the last 5. But on the other hand, Marseille is playing very well and they have not lost even one match in the last 5. So in terms of form, they are ahead of Lens. Lens does have an easy match in the next one. So I expect them to win that match.

On the other hand, Marseille has a tough match. They still should be able to win that match but any mistake from them can result otherwise. And they obviously cannot draw that match.
