Lens itself will play the following week's match against Strasbourg, capitalizing on the victory from Paris Saint Germain and with their weak opponents this week, it will also be an easy win for them.
But in the previous match PSG had a lot of trouble against Strasbourg, even PSG's victory had to go through the white point in the final minutes. Plus Neymar also got a red card which made him feel frustrated. Maybe it's better for Lens to be vigilant when they meet Strasbourg later, this is a team full of surprises when they meet opponents who are far superior.
That is what I wanted to say. It was not easy for PSG to get a win against Strasbourg. If Strasbourg can give a strong fight against PSG, they will do it against Lens.
Lenz having won psg last week may feel superior and not be vigilant and Strasbourg will take them by surprise.
That match wi be an interesting one but Lenz has the upper hand to win.

If you look at the H2H statistics for the last 5 matches between Lens vs Strasbourg, on paper Strasbourg is very superior with 3 wins, while Lens only won 1 time and the rest were draws. This proves that the history of the meeting between the two has always belonged to Strasbourg, it's no wonder that PSG, which is so strong, is having a hard time winning over Strasbourg.

There will be a quite big competition for the second spot in the standings for certain.

I especially expect a competition among Marseille, Monaco and Rennes for that. Maybe I'm prejudiced about Lens but I don't feel like they will be able to keep up this level until the end of the season. They aren't normally a very familiar team with their current place in the league. I can't overlook their impressive effort until now of course. But considering their performance last season I feel like it will be the same for them. They will lose their momentum at a point and it will be the start of their fall. For the second spot, I'm favouring Marseille for now.

Well, for a long time there has been a hegemony of PSG, so the first place is no longer debatable, because it is always PSG, but I think that in this case the best lineup has is Marseille, I see it well and It is a team that when they say they play very well7, they do it in a spectacular way, but nevertheless I have been seeing some not very good behaviors, they are somewhat negative and the players do not believe it, and that is something negative, when they play against PSG it is as if they had too much respect for them and it is not something that is good, they should lose that respect and play one on one, without lowering their heads, that is why I have more expectations about Marseille than any other.

Even though there were some players at PSG who might have had to lose when they met Messi and also Argentina in the world cup round yesterday, it seems that it is not a problem now that they are all getting along and are back to focusing together to give the best for PSG. In the next game PSG will host against Angers which we know is now in the relegation zone and it looks like it will be an easy opponent for PSG, I'm sure this time PSG will win easily.
they were professional players, of course it would be fine as long as they weren't involved in any troublesome personal conflicts.
PSG in the previous match against Lens had to lose 3-1. this makes Lens continue to pursue the difference in points. the next match should be easy for PSG to get 3 points and also quite a lot of goals. but now that competition in Europe has also become denser, PSG must also focus on the French Cup and the Champions League.
It would be very funny when the Paris Saint Germain players who competed in the Qatar 2022 World Cup didn't get along. lol
Their interests are different if they are already in a team, moreover that team pays them. They are professional players and as professional players they must put their personal interests above the interests of the team they strengthen, that's how it should be. At club level, this is an opportunity for them to complement each other to create a dream team.

It is that this happens, at least I know that Mbappé with Messi and Ney the relationship is not very good, I think it can be strictly professional, however they must understand each other in their team to be able to have good results, but the combination Messi + Ney is enough how to get PSG forward without any problem, and taking into account that between Messi and Mbappé there is a disagreement that became evident in the final, that is something that is not forgotten, with Ney it is obvious that there will always be, but the quality Ney's is too big to be tarnished by Mbappé, these things will always spread in football and the mere fact that Ney and Messi are South Americans adds much more to Mbappé's pique.

And here it becomes clear:

5 things we noticed about Lionel Messi's return to PSG, including Kylian Mbappe's absence

Quote
Lionel Messi received a guard of honour as he made his return to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday – and we spotted a number of interesting details throughout, including the reaction of Ethan Mbappe.

After helping Argentina lift a historic World Cup last month, Messi was handed a well-deserved 10-day break by the Ligue 1 champions.

During that time, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner celebrated with his La Albiceleste teammates on an open-top bus parade before being mobbed by thousands of fans in his hometown of Rosario.

And now, the former Barcelona forward has returned to Les Parisiens' training base ahead of their Coupe de France clash against Chateauroux on Friday.

It is evident that envy exists at all levels, it is something normal, it is like that everywhere, now, I am not satisfied with this, if France had been champion and Mbappé had won the Champion's gait, I am sure Messi would have done. been there and happy anyway to honor an Mbappé.

Chance to see conflicts between Messi, Neymar and Mbappe is big. Even the conflict in early of season was handled well and quick enough by PSG board engagement. However with the high ego and high ambition of Mbappe, he will not stay silent and keep calm too long. He can start a new drama again when his mood is bad again.

PSG are still stronger than all clubs in Ligue 1 but if they continue to play carelessly and decentralize their concentration for Champions League too much, they can lose Ligue 1 in this season. It is possible but only they can throw it away and another club will take it.

If PSG concentrate enough for Ligue 1, no French club can win it by beating PSG in a long season because with abundant good players, PSG have very big advantage.

In fact, the likelihood of a conflict is already much less than at the beginning of the season - firstly, relations with Neymar were settled, and secondly, Mbappe has already shown at the World Cup that he is a stronger player. A conflict with Messi is impossible since Messi is old and does not pose a threat to Mbappe. Mbappe can only be expected to try to leave for another club if he again unsuccessfully performs in the Champions League with PSG. But it will be a conflict with management and not with teammates.

The good "welcome" gesture they had for Messi was a very important one. PSG is a French club, and there are many French players, namely Mbappe as the best one playing at PSG. They could have been hating him all this time all he knew, because his team got the world cup title and not France, so who knows how they felt.

But, they have shown true professionalism and applauded him and welcomed him very warmly, and that is definitely an important thing to show that the team is one as a unit and whatever happens at national teams stays at national teams. I believe this is going to be very important for their future, they will probably get a lot more success with this chemistry.
Regardless of anything, I feel that in this case, individual interests and the club must be put aside. Messi is indeed a player from Argentina but now it is different because we are talking about a club not the national team even though this hurts a little but I think the integrity of the club and professionalism must be upheld in this matter. But it will be interesting to see whether or not this will also be a relationship breaker in the end.

Marseille have made a big improvement recently and this is making me happy for them. Because I see them as the second strongest team in the league right after PSG now. They were able to steal the second position from Monaco in the last moments of the season the last time. This time maybe it will happen between Lens and Marseille who knows. Lens have done a pretty good job so far and they even beat PSG last week. This win must be a big motivation for them to maintain a good form for a longer time.

However I still doubt they have the same spirit with Lille. I think they won't be able to keep up with PSG throughout the season anyway and they will lose their place to Marseille before the end of the season as well. But they can still qualify for the Champions League group stage qualifiers by finishing at the 3rd position.

Lens itself will play the following week's match against Strasbourg, capitalizing on the victory from Paris Saint Germain and with their weak opponents this week, it will also be an easy win for them. Just like Angers, Strasbourg is also a Ligue 1 team, they are only 1 level above Angers who are bottom of the relegation zone. I think the gap in points between Paris Saint Germain and Lens will remain the same after the 18th week.
The condition of the two clubs at the top facing the club at the bottom of the standings is actually like 3 real points for them in any case they clearly want to get full points in this match.
With Lens' current condition which is quite solid and by looking at the results of the match from Strasbourg which can be said to have decreased quite a bit this season, of course the chance is still very big for 3 points.

The overall performance of the PSG team without Messi is very poor. There is no doubt that Mbappe is a great player. But he is very selfish. Although he can score a lot of goals, he cannot contribute to keeping the overall performance of the team stable. And so the most important player of the PSG team at the moment is Messi. In the next match, we will see Messi with PSG. PSG are 4 points ahead of Lens despite losing badly against Lens in their last match. This gap should be increased in the next matches.
The next game will be easier for PSG to win, because PSG will be against the last ranked team in Ligue1, namely Angers. Even without Messi, PSG can still win if the opponent is Angers, because that is a team that has had very bad performances this season so it won't be so difficult for PSG. And that match could also be an opportunity for PSG to widen the points gap with Lens again if Lens does not win in the next match.

The return of Lionel Messi to PSG is obviously going to be very good for the team. Honestly, I think they wouldn’t have lost in the last match if Lionel Messi was with them.

Anyway, there is no point in talking about what has already happened in the past. I believe from now on Lionel Messi is going to be a very important player for the team. Especially after witnessing what happened in the last match without him.

Another thing is I believe if Mbappé is going to be friendly with Lionel Messi, it is going to be better for PSG. I know that they are eventually going to win the league title. At this point, I am only interested to see how Lionel Messi can perform, and if he can break any personal records.

At least if Neymar doesn't get a red card for the RC Strasbourg match, he won't miss the game when PSG travel to Lens headquarters and PSG won't suffer an embarrassing defeat. even without Messi, PSG are still too strong for their opponents in Ligue 1. and if in yesterday's match Neymar was not absent due to a red card suspension, Lens is not a difficult opponent for them to overthrow.

IMO, actually the match against Lens was a valuable lesson for Galtier and his troops. Galtier can measure the weaknesses of his team, both in terms of the front line and in defense. at this point, PSG is like a helpless team against Lens.
The good news, Messi has rejoined and trained with the team. even though Neymar must be absent in the next two matches, PSG will still be a tough team even though Galtier only plays Mbappe and Messi.

The bad news, there are many rumors that always link the rift between the MNM Trio. I think the sports news media give too much of an impression that PSG are never free from their internal problems.

PSG need all of the players in this trio to be successful for real. We all have witnessed the change in the Lens match as they didn't have Messi - Neymar duo there. Mbappe couldn't carry on the role of making the team win this match one way or another. He can't be enough to win this kind of matches all the time. PSG are a team that are highly dependent on all of this trio. Yes maybe they had good times before Messi signed for the team as well. But now they are building their game plan by considering his big contribution too.

Against Bayern Munich this is going to be the same again. They will need all of these three players on the field to increase their chance.
PSG got first loss in this season from Lens and the attacking line not completed with after Neymar and Lionel Messi absent, seems PSG can't have consistency performance without having trio tandem in attacking line. Lionel Messi have returning back to the team after World Cup and Neymar have finish punishment after receiving red card.

Up next match PSG will play on French Cup round 64 and I don't think with Lionel Messi make his debut after returning to the team last few days, actually Christophe Galtier will use second players composition to this competition and preparing for next match Anger on Thursday, January 12.

I feel the same way,  I feel there should be a different story when it comes to Ligue 1 title winners this season. Though with the current squad that PSG possesses it may be difficult for Lens. Some seasons ago, the PSG squad was not as good as it is now and yet it was difficult for other contenders to overthrow them, now that the club has been raised to a different height I'm having doubts that they could be a change in Ligue 1 writings. But as long as football is consent, I think Lenz would make a difference this time.
We can't just focus on PSG's game because in this match the fact is that in terms of teamwork, Lens is indeed better in my opinion.
Many of PSG's attacks couldn't get to Lens's defense apart from Lens's defense being very disciplined in this case there were a number of things such as the difficulty in PSG's midfield in stretching and rolling the ball so there was no more encouragement for the attack line which made it a little difficult.
In this match first half was vital with Lens done good job and take good advantage of soft defense from the PSG and done two goals which helps them for having better result in this match even in second half PSG were at their best but sadly not able to score goals with Mbappé was alone.

And other players were also not effective like before break so things gone in wrong way for the PSG and Lens having better approach and strategy for this match works and give them good win which now reduce the gape of points with just four hopefully things could be better, and we will have good end of this season as right now four teams are fighting hard for the top ranks Lens could be also dangerous to stay here for Champions League spot.

PSG's defeat has clearly made all hopes in competition come true now even though there are still conditions that are still profitable for PSG but still this 4 point gap is a good thing for competitors because at least this is something that rarely happens.
But it is likely that in the next game this gap will still be the same because PSG will face Angers who are currently at the bottom of the table but Lens will also face Strasbourg who is currently in a bad condition.
Actually I don't see this as a failure or a result that would make PSG fail to win Ligue 1. There will still be a lot of games. Their defeats were because Neymar and Messi did not play and they were ineffective in attack. So
The difference of four points is not big but it is still quite good. With the number of games remaining I think PSG should not repeat this mistake. They need to keep winning for them to stay comfortably in the first ranks. At the end of the day I think PSG will remain favourites for the championship.
21 rounds left in this season with most chances PSG will be able to stay at the top and if Lens able to keep this momentum then surely they can stay at the second spot because they have good defense which is capable of handling all situations even attack is not powerful as we need for the champions in any league Marseille and Monaco both are trying their best for having better spot and end of this season but things looking no easy for them in presence of Lens.

Most chances PSG will be stayed at the top because now with the back of Neymar and Messi their attack could be more active and things could be favourable for them to have better results but for remaining spots nothing is clear because all teams are doing good job and have equal chance with good quality and performance for the remaining season.

Yes, I hope they can all forget all the conflicts that exist and can return to achieving goals with PSG. The previous defeat was indeed very draining for the PSG coach and players. In the next game they seem to be ready to take another point and along with the busy schedule it seems that the coach has to work on his players to stay fit when the European competitions start together at the same time as now.

many people regret and worry about team cohesiveness after world cup that will be affect in the club. We know, PSG have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar how have fight on world cup especially I mentioned first two person. Seem like there are still competition between them where always compared and mentioned from Social Media and The News. We can't blame it, because in fact, this is the first time lose PSG in the last 20 matches!. So what happens PSG?.

It looks like Messi has returned to PSG at this time and has started training again with the PSG squad. This is good news considering that after he left for quite a while after successfully bringing Argentina to win the 2022 world cup. Messi's return will certainly make PSG's performance improve again and Neymar also seems to have joined training after receiving a red card sanction when yesterday met Strasbourg.
I love the warm welcome that was given to Messi on arriving to his club PSG.

Messi is a very good and exceptional player and in addition to his best personality as a footballer he is also cool-headed and down-to-earth he is not pompous and therefore he deserves all the warm welcome that was giving him and from henceforth he will play with peace of mind in PSG knowing that he has accomplished his greatest dream as a footballer.
Shalom Messi
