France lost a chance to be a first team can protect their trophy after Brazil many years ago. Mbappe will return to PSG with bad mood and relationship with Messi and Neymar. Neymar congratulated Messi but did not show anything for Mbappe.

Will PSG be able to win Champions League with internal conflict of their biggest attacking players?
Don't forget Mbappe is the most important player in PSG and he has a control to choose his teammates, managers etc, this mean Mbappe can request to put Messi on bench until he's satisfied with his revenge. Technically PSG has the best strikers among other clubs since they have Messi and Mbappe who become man of the match from the final world cup, while Neymar is also important for Brazil.

I think PSG is currently have an awkward situation or internal conflict between Mbappe and Messi, it just depends on Mbappe ego, he's young and a selfish person, so he can't control his own emotion.

Mbappe is returning to PSG's games again by a disappointing result in the World Cup. He made a really huge effort and satisfied the expectations for sure. But they could have won the cup as well if they were able to play better as a team. I hope this result won't affect his performance at PSG badly for some time. Because this was a meaningful tournament for him as well just as it was for Messi.
Mbappe played very bad in about first 70 minutes but he suddenly scored two goals for France. Starting by a mistake of Otamendi, Mbappe scored 1 then 2 goal to bring France back to the match. Later he scored another third goal, another equalizer for France. In the final, France made lot of challenge and fear for Argentina after Deschamps sent some strong and fast players in like Marcus Thuram, Kolo Muani, Kingsley Coman, Camavinga.

I felt Argentina should lose that match because their coach, Scaloni was very late with substitutions and before two appearances of Lautaro Martinez and Paolo Dybala, Argentina were mostly at verge of failure with big pressure from France. A substitution of Marcos Acuna for Angel Di Maria is a failed one too.

Quote
France missed a big chance of winning the World Cup two times in a row and being the third team to make it in World Cup history. Messi would return with a big motivation of course which is good for PSG of course.

Yes i totally agree we have seen the disapointement and grief on mbappe face at the end of the game this might affect him in a negative way along with neymar who must be more disapointed since his team lost to croatia on the quarter final but maybe this will give them a boost to try and win the champions league so we will have to wait for the game against bayern to see.

Marseille and Monaco which are also struggling hopefully this break will help them for having positive change in their approach for the reminder of this season, and they will be able to fight back at higher rank which is important but Lens and Rennes are also not easy teams to fight with quality performance from them in first round of this season.
At the start of the season they looked confident but towards the holiday they had a little problem even in the last 5 matches before the holiday they won 2 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw this is clearly a little difficult for them and like it or not they have to get up even in 2 matches Finally, Marseille is actually quite good.
In their first match after the holiday, this actually became one of the good opportunities because seeing their opponents, of course, Marseille and Monaco were slightly favored.

PSG currently has the world's best striker strikers, mbappe and messi contributed greatly to their respective countries by becoming top scorers during the world cup, mbappe only had to bring PSG to win the UCL, so he has managed to make a big personal record at a young age

After today's game, PSG must have realized how lucky they were. They have 2 of the best attacking players in the world. I think what they need to do is to collect a lot of 3 points in the league as soon as possible and open the gap with their opponents and give all their attention to the Champions League. It would be a shame if this squad doesn't make it to the Champions League. They have always won the French league, except for the accident they have experienced for a year. Against such a roster, other smaller teams don't have much to do. They should complete the league early by making a winning streak and widening the points gap by the end of March. So all focus becomes CL.
Messi will be more willing after this championship. Mbappe likewise wants more success. I think this PSG should dominate all tournaments.

I would like to listen to the conversation of these two players on their return from WC. Two players from the same team scored 5 goals in a WC final, even with the final penalties 7. Can we witness something like this again? I don't think so.

Messi and Mbappe will probably get a lot of vacation time after the final. The struggle of the two was very tiring after chasing each other to catch the top score and determine the fate of their country. Messi won the golden ball trophy while Mbappe was the top scorer, and France should be proud of the performance of its two players in the final.

So because of that, some PSG players will be out, and I think Lens can take advantage of that. Indeed, PSG will not be as weak as expected, that is because the quality of the players is on average above Lens.
We all know these are professional players, and they have to follow their clubs approach in future but still now we have first match on 29th December which mean ten days left but it's against Strasbourg which is easy game and reminder of the players can win without any help from these players but after this we have second match against second spotted Lens which is also doing amazing stuff and hopefully PSG will be able to have services of their best players for this match as well because they don't want to cut this gape of points which is currently giving them good edge.

Marseille and Monaco which are also struggling hopefully this break will help them for having positive change in their approach for the reminder of this season, and they will be able to fight back at higher rank which is important but Lens and Rennes are also not easy teams to fight with quality performance from them in first round of this season.

PSG will face Strasbourg, I bet they will win easily, PSG is really not caught up by other teams in Ligue 1
Mbappé is just 24 years old, and he already plays two FIFA World Cup finals with both times he is able to score goals which is amazing stuff even this time they lost on penalties but still a hard fought win for Argentina and amazing performance from this wonder boy of France and PSG hopefully with this performance he will be able to win the Champions League title as well which will bring him in legit list of top players in UEFA.

Now we have ten days left into start of next phase of this season which is going to be good for them because they are already at the top of the Ligue 1 table and now have all sights on Champions League title with things looking easy in league best defence and lethal attack is already giving them five points gapes.

Mbappé have success with national team from Euro until World Cup tittle success get it during still 23 years old, Lionel Messi can't get tittle with his national team in young age but need waiting until achievement on 30 years old for Copa America tittle. I don't think for Lionel Messi and Mbappé have drastically level difference with Champion League trophy only missing.

Why many bad viewed with Mbappé about his attitude, during World Cup with France national team he most friendly and never made any mistake yet with their team and matches played, I sure Mbappé will reach the same level with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo later after joining potential team with Champion League opportunity tittle like Real Madrid.
This is a very very shallow approach to football. It is played with 11 people, if you calculate how strong France is without Mbappe and how strong Argentina would be without Messi you would have your answer. Lets assume that we take out Messi and Mbappe from this finals, they won't play, who do you think would win? I can easily tell you that the result would be like 5-0 France win, easily.

The only reason Argentina even came to finals twice now is the fact that Messi scored 5 goals and assisted plenty as well because dude knows how to control the game. When he has the ball on his foot, it's also a way other team can't score, he dictates the pace and the style of the game all by himself.

This still needs to be proven by his performance in the league later because playing as a team and as a club are clearly different, but indeed in this case to say they are great strikers actually from the start everyone also knew about this. Currently they still need to work hard in the Champions League especially in February they will still have a big match against Bayern in the last 16.

Looks like it would be very difficult to happen.  the reason is, after Ligue 1 was rolled back after a week, Lens had a game against PSG, at their own headquarters. so, to maintain the difference in points between PSG it will be very difficult for them to maintain.  because after all, PSG is too strong for Lens to beat even though they are playing at home. moreover, to maintain their ranking in second place in the Ligue 1 standings is very dubious.

I am pessimistic, Lens will continue to perform consistently after Ligue 1 is rolled out again. I'm pretty sure, Marseille will perform even better once the league resumes. since the league break because of the world cup, it's enough for them to recover their stamina and fitness after a busy match. and Marseille will take back, the ranking they left before.

There is no doubt about the outcome of this match. But it might also be nice for PSG to resume the competition with a relatively simple victory. Many players have also made an appearance at the World Cup, I don't know how they return from that. That was also football and training every day for 3 weeks. Those players now only have a few days off and can then play football again in the new year. It is a mess with the planning in the competitions, also in France. But it cannot be otherwise due to the playing dates of the Qatar World Cup.

I want to see if Lens can maintain their point difference with Paris Saint Germain or not, while waiting for Paris Saint Germain to slip and Lens will take advantage of it to be more detailed with them. But on the other hand, to be honest I am pessimistic that Lens will be able to close the distance with Paris Saint Germain and in the end the point margin between them will continue to widen. In Ligue 1 5 points is a wide gap, especially in front is Paris Saint Germain, which is very difficult to beat.

Messi against Mbappe it finally became. We haven't seen Mbappe the entire game, until he uses the penalty kick and then also 1 minute later shoots the ball in nicely and hard with the 2-2. After that we still saw a great opportunity for France, it could have just ended with a 3-2 score for France. It could well be that it will be penalties, but France will not let it come to that. They have wasted less energy and are much fitter. It will depend on Messi and Mbappe who takes home the title.

I agreed about this all here because completely different environment with different style of play and Messi is surely already achieve too many things in his career with Mbappé is living only with world cup, but he needs to do much more for having name like Messi with most chances tomorrow we will have Messi will take another achievement with world cup win.

If Mbappé wants to achieve rank like Messi and Ronaldo then surely he needs to change his attitude and things in play as well which is never been helpful for him most of the time he plays like selfish player which is not acceptable for legendary players, but a long career is waiting for him in coming years hopeful things will be changed, and he will be able to have best for his future which he deserves.

You made a valid point about Mbappé's attitude, which I agree with. He will have to be selfless. It’s simple for me, if you just stop your run just because a teammate did not pass you the ball, you are never able to be considered an excellent player. Honestly, the main fault lies with PSG.

They have absolutely spoilt this kid and now it will be very difficult for this player to play like a general player, because he will try to be a boss around his teammates. Doesn’t even matter if he stays at PSG or not. Wherever he plays, he will have the attitude that he built up from PSG. And that is likely to be very detrimental to his career.

Comparing Messi with Mbappé is not a fair comparison in my opinion. Both of them have very different play styles. Both of them are also very different in terms of their age.

Lionel Messi has achieved almost everything in his career except for the World Cup.

On the other hand, Mbappe has achieved the World Cup, but not many other things yet.

Mbappe still has a lot to achieve. But if Lionel Messi just ends his career right now, it is not going to make much of a difference for him. We can say that Messi is very interested in the World Cup. He is not that much interested in club performance anymore. But that is not the case with Mbappe.

There is no doubt that Mbappe is a fantastic player. But it will take him a long time to reach the level of Messi or Ronaldo. Mbappe has already won a World Cup. Messi and Ronaldo did not win any World Cup. But still, Messi and Ronaldo are far ahead of Mbappe.

Mbappe has yet to win a Ballon d'Or. The 23-year-old Messi probably won four Ballon d'Ors. Mbappe has not yet reached Messi's level in club football.

Mbappe needs to change his style of play if he wants to be like Messi. Mbappe only plays to score. He makes very few assists. He scored 5 goals and 2 assists in the World Cup. On the other hand, 34-year-old Messi scored 5 goals and 3 assists. In this season, Messi has 7 goals and 10 assists for PSG, while Mbappe has 12 goals and just two assists. Compared to the 34-year-old Messi, Mbappe will lag behind.

In any case the comparison is indeed not very appropriate because in terms of age, in terms of achievement it is also very far now. because if you really want a comparison, at least look for an equal comparison because Mbappe and Messi don't really match in terms of performance because from any perspective there are quite significant differences.
When you say Mbappe is better in terms of performance, it's quite natural, because the age is also very different. If you say Messi is better in terms of individuals, this achievement is also reasonable because he is nearing the end.
In this case I also agree with you, because what Messi already has, obviously, Mbappe doesn't necessarily have at this point. Both have different achievements in their careers and also different speed in the game, but it's about accuracy and how to carry the ball past their opponents in the game. I see that things are not that much different so it is correct to compare the two, it is very less suitable to do except with players who are both senior in their football career.
Because of this exact reason people usually compare them at their age. So if Mbappe is 23, then they compare what Messi did until 23 and that is just unreal, dude has been a force of football for nearly 2 decades, in a year or two it will be 2 decades to be fair.
And by age 23 he already achieved more than what Mbappe did, and by 35 or so Mbappe will probably not have what Messi has neither. The type of dominance Barcelona had for a while is the key to what Messi did of course, and Mbappe doesn't have that because with all the money in the world you could not build a La Masia and players like Xavi and Iniesta and Puyol and Pique, and many others who contributed to Messis amazing career.
Mbappe is already breaking a lot of records and it is not impossible for him to take away some of the records that Messi has. He is already scoring a lot of goals for his club and country and is playing in one of the best teams in the world. If he starts scoring more per season he will be close to some of the Messi records. Mbappe won already a world cup and now is missing the champions league and ballon dor and that is just a matter of time

Breaking Messi's records may not be impossible for Mbappe. But it is very difficult. Messi probably won 4 Ballon d'Or at the age of 23. But Mbappe has yet to win a single Ballon d'Or. Messi won 7 Ballon d'Or. Can Mbappe win 7? Mbappe, on the other hand, has already won the World Cup. But Messi could not win the World Cup. If Messi can win the World Cup this year, he will be considered as the great player of all time.
