In my opinion, Messi does not show anything special this season (but compared to the disastrous last season, he certainly performs better). Neymar, in my opinion, performs more brigtly and this is reflected in his statistics. But in general, PSG remains not a star team, but a team of stars, so such a standard of team play as Bayern for me will be a favorite in this confrontation.

This one makes sense though. Even without Messi, PSG is a much better team than any other team in the league, not just Lorient, and the way they play shows that they are just not that easy to be beaten. Lorient should have lost this game, but won earlier games so that they would be doing a lot better right now and one loss wouldn't have mean that much.

Lorient is not having a good time at all at the moment. In addition to that, they also played against PSG in their last match. It was actually supposed to be a loss for them in that match. As a result, they will have a hard time trying to move back into the top two positions. It is my opinion that if they play well, they will be able to get back into the top three since the difference in points between the two teams is not that big. In order to reach the second position, they will have to work very hard in order to achieve it.

Obviously, PSG is a much better team. As far as I am concerned, they are the leading team in this league and they deserve to be crowned champions.

This was a shaky performance from PSG, not gonna lie. This could easily have gone the other way around. In this match most were expecting good number of goals from PSG but Lorient defence were good and adjusted which help their team for having good resistance and not allow players like Mbappé and Neymar to have ruined them in this game as Messi was not available in this match through his injury.

Marseille are a little unlucky that they are going to have another tough game next time. It is an away game against Monaco. I doubt Marseille to do the same in this game as well but we will see. They beat Monaco here in the previous season actually. Maybe this psychological advantage also might be some help.

Whatever the result will be between Marseille and Monaco, I doubt they could return to the second place before many rounds. The sad part is that even bookies don't support them vs Monaco. Personally I am waiting to see a draw in that game but regarding the randomness of the performance of both teams, I think everything is possible there.
Apart from that match, there is another interesting game between Lyon and Nice before the long pause..

Marseille having first win after four matches and Monaco is also doing good in last few matches which mean it's going to be tough challenge for both teams which are now looking for third spot as now things are looking not good for having second spot which is having six points gape with Lens is also doing amazing job they are not giving space to any team.

But, they need to be tough after break as well if they want to keep their hopes alive for staying at this spot even now Monaco and Marseille are improving performance, and surely it's going to be the toughest time after break because all clubs will be looking for better results and it's never been easy to stay at same level for long time as teams having not good resources like PSG which is currently leaders in French League.
