The game between nantes and lille today was a tight and competitive one, it ended in a draw but lille team was slightely better, they were more precise and they had more on goal shots, unlucky for them nante goalkeeper was present and he gave a point to his team.

Nantes Vs Lile
   1   -   1

When the match (game) started, Lile was playing rough which led them to take 4 yellow cards and also they possessed ball more than Mantes while Mantes played gentle and fair game. Upon all the roughness from Lite, Mantes still scored them (Lile) in the first half of the march. Moses Simon who was assisted by Andrei Girotto scored the first goal in 28 minutes of the match from Mantes team while Ismally who was assisted by Jonathan David scored the 2nd goal in the match from Lile team. That gave the 1-1 draw in full time of the match. Now if you look at the stats of the match which I jot some down for reference purpose.

The squad owned by PSG is currently a star-studded team from goalkeepers to attackers, according to transfermark data, the value of the squad owned by PSG is currently around 834 million pounds or slightly lower than that of Manchester City in the EPL, but for Ligue 1 of course PSG has a higher value than other teams, with such a large squad value of course we realize that PSG owners have spent a lot of money in building a squad full of stars, but unfortunately the a lot of star players and the large amount of money they have spent is not able to give maximum results in the champions league competition so far.
The PSG owner is eager to see his team win the Champions League for the first time, he will continue to spend huge sums of money on star players to fulfill his ambitions. It's natural that now we see PSG squad full of star-labeled players, because they will still continue to strive to achieve their goals. No one doubts the quality of PSG in League 1, they can be champions every year there, when PSG have a match on the European stage, PSG are still not able to maintain consistency, they always fail to go far in the Champions League. This season with a new coach who has just been appointed, PSG will try to do something new In the Champions League, hopefully they can give a beautiful gift to the owner of the club.

If you ask about the star players who make up Paris Saint Germain's roster, haven't they always been like that for a long time? I won't be surprised when PSG are still signing big players in the squad. It's just that I wonder, why with such a luxurious squad they still can't achieve on a higher stage? I feel like this is a waste of time for them.
You can't do everything with money. PSG has very good players and they can add any player they want to their roster, they think they can get anything by paying whatever they want, but I don't think there is a team spirit.
It is not enough to have very good players, in other leagues you can see that teams with much weaker players can be much more successful Smiley
in fact money is everything in the world of football, if a team doesn't have money that team won't win anything. and the reason are simple:

1 - this team will not have a good coach because it is expensive to have a good coach
2 - this team will not have good players and will not have motivated players
3 - this team will not have a good field because it is expensive to have a good field and maintain a good field
4 - that team will not have the money to pay the cost of travel and first class accommodation to the players whenever they go to play and as a consequence the players will play without motivation
5 - Players' salaries will be low and they will be unmotivated

A low salary is always perceived to be an issue for any team. This is because, actually never mind, the problem is that they are not getting the kind of facilities that they should be able to get because they are actually being paid a low salary.

It is true that the motive will not be there for any player, regardless of their position. There is no doubt that the players have grown to be used to the facilities they are receiving there. Therefore, it is going to be very difficult to make something that is a bit different from what they are used to. Hope PSG's players will adapt quickly and be able to establish smooth chemistry between them. Without chemistry, it is quite difficult to make a positive move, regardless of how good players are in the squad.

Nantes is currently leading 1-0 against OSC Lille. We have already seen more surprising (intermediate) positions from the start of the competition. Lille should normally win this match but that will be a difficult story now as we are already in the 2nd half. Little can be seen of the game image of the champion from 2 seasons ago. In any case, PSG do not have to worry again that Lille will take the title. Not that I want to start a whole discussion, but how did it come to be that Lille became champion 2 seasons ago and PSG didn't? Does anyone know what the odds were then to bet on Lille that they would become champions?
I was expecting first win of this season for Nantes, but good thing happened and Lille hold their nerves for having one point from this match, which could be essential for them in the future. Nantes takes early lead and able to enjoy this for 30 minutes after end of first half Ismaily came from bench for Lille and put a good goal which give them one point and top rank in League table for nearly 24 hours as PSG is going to play their second game against Montpellier, and they need full three points if they want to jump at first spot for one week.

Tomorrow we have one of the entertaining match between Monaco vs Rennes, both were good in last season and now going to face each other in this season for having good spot until end of this season.

I don't understand why certain players, even though they are old, still want to continue playing, as much as a player is a good player and is even the best player in the world when he is already at an advanced age he needs to rest because he will not be able to play in the same pace than the other players

I really think that is much easier said than done! Wink

Many of those older players can sign well paid contracts easily as it seems. Ramos is another example. Why not take another 40 million home for two years even though when you are injured sitting on a bench?

But much more important than that, I think we are all kind of the same when it comes to finishing a huge chapter of your life. There are only very few I remember who said "ok that was it, I am fine even though I could still play". That doesn't happen very often and I can understand why.

There have been soccer players in the past who admitted that essentially they are not even able to have a normal life, never used a pan and never filled their fridge. Never had to organize administrative stuff and so on and so forth.

The soccer world today is a big fat dream bubble that has nothing to do with real life. I would assume that some of the players are afraid of that time.

Finally, we are talking about a sport and we all love sports I guess, in some shape or form. If you can't do anymore what you love so much (especially taking into account the incredible audiences), it's tough to step down.

There is no league that weaker teams who do not spend money become successful, in football you have to spend money, buying good players is what makes a team strong and successfully, and to buy very good players, money has to be spent. Psg bought many new players last season, and some of them have not adapted with the team yet, and that happens to every team. It is not a lack of team spirit in my opinion, these players will soon get used to playing together and it will make them a winning machine.
Only good players can't bear good result and it needs good coach and facilities also. Obviously good and experienced players matter. But without proper strategies and tactics, it is really tough to win in the competitive match.
Managers are the decisive factor in every single team. If you have a team that's decent, and have a team that's good, but decent team is managed by a GOAT manager, and the good one is managed by someone like me, then the decent team will beat the good team 9 out of 10 times.

We shouldn't really be considering that as an option at all, we should be considering this as the most important part. Get a great manager first and then get the players after that which would fit his mindset. PSG didn't get the greatest manager they could get, which was Zidane, he was the best one and if they offered 60 million a year (and 120 million signing bonus) to Mbappe, I am sure they could have convinced Zidane with enough money.

The guests seem to be the favorite of the Nantes - Lille match. Lille in the first leg was definitely a better team than Auxerre and they won 4-1. Nantes, on the other hand, drew 0-0 with Angers after a poor match. It seems to me that a draw in today's match is the most what the hosts can do.
Yes, although on paper Lille could have won today's match but I would doubt it, instead maybe the away team will win and maybe there will be some goals. I personally prefer this match to be minimal goals, maybe Lille win but it's like only about 1-0 or a goalless draw or 1-1. I personally think these two teams have the ability to be able to maintain their defense, regardless of what they got in the first match, I'm more concerned about head to head which looks like both teams can play tough.
10 minutes of running time there is still no significant movement in the chances of both clubs.
It seems that in this case the two clubs that play are still fumbling about what steps to take now. but Lille now dominate in possession so they have a very big chance now to score goals

FC Nantes - LOSC Lille

It will be an interesting game, I particularly bet on Lille and I hope they win this game

Exception possible for the Red team in the EPL Cheesy
But indeed the average club that has more money then indeed there they will be great and that is a fact. Now almost all clubs that do have above average funds have become successful and indeed money is the determining factor here.
For PSG themselves, they actually have their own success, but indeed sometimes our reference to PSG is the Champions League, so no matter how successful he is in Ligue 1, it seems ordinary because it is only the Champions League which is the reference for people.

Not your keys, not your coins!
Galtier officially announced Paris Saint Germans no longer needs the services of Mario Icardi. The Italian player has been a top professional despite not meeting his target at the end of each season. Remember se seasons ago at Inter Milan ?
He was one of deadliest strikers in the world, I rated him with the same level as Luis Suarez but he ended up not been consistent.
Icardi has long time in Italy but he is not an Italian player. His nationality is Arghentina and he plays for that national team. Unfortunately because of his drama with Maxi Lopez and Nara, he is not supoorted by Messi. As a result of this conflict, Icardi does not have good career with his national team.

Quote
Marcus Rashford ? Will go nowhere as Erik Ten Hag has said he will continue with the Club Manchester United as he is part of the future plans. Swirling news is as a result of  new contract talks for Rashford.  Rashford Stays.
Rashford had a good performance years ago when Manchester United won against PSG in Champions League. He even outperformed Mbappe in these two matches but in last three seasons, when Mbpappe becomes one of brighest star players, and becomes a super star player, Rashford has fallen negatively with his career.

PSG does not need Rashford and United needs him so he will stay with Manchester United.

Regardless of anything Ligue 1 will still be controlled by PSG regardless of the coach there.
With the strength of their current players which are above average, it is clear that the advantage remains at PSG and they are strong candidates and if you look at even more than 50 percent at the start of the season they are already champions (even though this season has just started).
The reason is simple, Their players are on a different level for the size of Ligue 1.
From the data I got in league 1 matches, there are still 11 football clubs trying to compete with PSG and I'm sure they hope there will be an opportunity to beat a club as strong as PSG, this club is known to be very strong and has a lot of experience in various matches so the players have above average skills and scary, Hopefully there is a new history that can get a chance to beat PSG.
I don't think the data will be useful, at least even though there are indeed some clubs that can compete quite well but that's only for 2nd place and below.
What I mean is that we saw last season PSG lead by 15 points from 2nd place and now there is 11 club data that can indeed make PSG a little threatened? at least to reduce the margin of points is good for them.
