League one being uncompetitive should be an advantage for psg like i said, because they can concentrate fully on the champions league knowing that they do not have to be at their very best to win the french league. These players are professionals, there are champions league winners in that team, though they won it in their former clubs and not in psg, but you can't teach them how to differentiate between tournaments and its atmostphere, they know that well. I don't know if they will win the champions league this season, but i feel they will go as far as the final.
I don't agree if you say Ligue 1 is not competitive just because PSG have won more titles in recent seasons than any other team. If you say Ligue 1 is not competitive because of that, then you really have to say the Premier League and Bundesliga are not competitive because Bayern Munich and Manchester City have won more titles in recent seasons.

The rules remain the same, the format of 38 matches for the 20 competing teams will affect any team's chances of being competitive in the title. PSG excel because they have a more quality team, but I don't agree that they can't be beaten. You can even expect them to fail to win the title, as happened in the 2020/2021 season.

PSG is currently one of the favorite teams to win the champions league champion. and I believe this trio of strikers will make it happen.
I feel they can do it this season if they all play as best as they know how to, the manager knows what he needs to do to make this team unbeatable, just get them happy playing together and you may have just unleashed a winning machine, and things are easier for them than other contenders for the champions league, because they can win the French league without too much effort, but other contenders like manchester city, liverpool, real madrid etc have serious competition in their own leagues, so they will be playing tougher games throughout the season, but psg have the liberty to concentrate on one tournament, the champions league.
We are watching them as favorite for Champions League in last few seasons, but sadly they fail to give their best because they have some miserable problems in this event and their all investments are not working for bringing this title at home even they have few world-class players with very high salaries, but they are not having spirit and discipline for win this title as unit they are still in progress and need some more work because for winning title it's very important and treating just one or two players in good way is also not having good impact on players mind.

In coming season again they are going to win French league without any big trouble, but their main target is Champions League which is still needed some good effort from all players Mbappé and Neymar both are key player for this title, hopefully this season they could be much better.

I agree that Messi's retirement won't be at PSG. We should be seeing him at Barcelona one last time right before he retires. I know that Xavi is working on building a new team with a completely different game plan. But he also wouldn't be disturbed about having his old teammate in his team once again. Maybe this can happen in the next season too as he is already 35 years old and we don't know how much more he will continue to play. To tell the truth I would like to see him not retiring before becoming at least 40.  Grin

It will be wonderful to see Lionel Messi back in Barcelona. But I wonder if Lionel Messi will return to Barcelona. This is especially true when Barcelona made transfers worth 150 million after he had to leave the club. Lionel Messi has to feel a little bit betrayed after watching that. He even offered to take half his salary. I think he is not returning back to Barcelona. But I also don’t think he is willing to finish his career at PSG either. But PSG is the perfect place to be before retiring though.

The most plausible reason why PSG always fail to win the Champions League is because League 1 is not as competitive as the Premier League and La Liga. In the League 1 competition, almost no team is able to provide competition to PSG, which is why PSG always dominates League 1. To reach the top of the Champions League, PSG must always maintain their performance when meeting other big teams. They need to be able to differentiate the League 1 atmosphere from the UCL atmosphere. This year PSG will try to win the UCL for the umpteenth time, but I doubt they can do it perfectly.

When it comes to Messi's future at PSG I think that he will not retire here. There is still a possibility for Messi to return to Barcelona before his retirement. Barcelona president Laporta seems eager to have him back to make him retire at his legendary club. Before this happens PSG would certainly like to achieve the Champions League title. They have one of the best attacking trios in the world now like Messi-Mbappe-Neymar. They should be able to find a way to achieve this title with these superb players.

I would not take seriously any information that comes from Laporta. This clown is destroying the club in an expeditious manner and it is not known what this will lead to in the long run of even one season. As far as the talk of the top 3... I remember the previous top 3 - MSN which didn't actually do much  Roll Eyes

Yeah maybe you are right about that. Laporta made so many statements recently and it is hard to believe each one of them. Frankly, it would be lovely to see Messi playing for Barcelona one more time before he retires. But Xavi wouldn't like to change his system just for him from now on. Messi would be aware of this as well of course. Besides we don't even know how strong Barcelona will be financially in the future. They are dealing with serious problems even now about registering players to the La Liga.

Alexis Sanchez was one player I loved as at when he was at Arsenal. He was so good on the ball that defenders and opponent find it difficult when ever they play against him.But it seems he has had a bad injury record when he was at Inter, and this is bad because even in his new team, injury might still affect him and make him not to perform the way he is supposed to perform. But if he has an injury free season with Marsseille,I believe he will perform very well at the club, and I'm sure he will pick form again if there is no injury on him.
There are many stories in football that a player gets injured and rarely shows his talents that he could have showed. I mean think about it, if we are talking about injuries, the first name that pops in my head is Ronaldo. That dude played so amazingly that nobody had any way of stopping him, but he got injured and then he got a bit fatter and he basically stopped playing at a very early age. His only fault was not caring about his body.

New era Ronaldo is nothing like that, he is both talented but also takes care of his body a lot and that shows, he rarely ever gets injured, and even at his age he is still one of the most fit players. Alexis Sanchez was just the victim of injury making career worse, and I bet he will never reach is peak.
Rather than saying he didn't reach his peak I'd rather say his heyday was over when he was at Arsenal and Barcelona after that so it's like he lost all the skills he had.
Last season he didn't get many chances and his age now despite his injury can still make Marseille better because his ability is still above most players in Ligue 1 especially with his experience.

Hasn't PSG done that since a few years ago? but the reality is that PSG always fail in the Champions League. PSG always try to play their best to achieve their goals, but they always fail even though they have great players. The most plausible reason why PSG always fail to win the Champions League is because League 1 is not as competitive as the Premier League and La Liga. now that they have this new coach I can see that their defense has improved, at least that was the first impression I had in that first game, but of course we need to see 4 more games how they will behave, but if PSG really manage to have a good one performance in defense so they can win the champions league, the biggest obstacle that made PSG unable to reach the final and win the champions league is because their defense was bad

He might be an addition to a squad that is lacking some experience on the pitch and off the pitch. But he isn't choice number 1 anymore when it comes to a striker that you can depend on for a whole season.

I don't understand why certain players, even though they are old, still want to continue playing, as much as a player is a good player and is even the best player in the world when he is already at an advanced age he needs to rest because he will not be able to play in the same pace than the other players

Marseille officially get Inter Milan player Alexis Sanchez and they get this player with free transfer status because he and Inter agree to ended his contract and after failed in Manchester United and Inter Milan Sanchez want to fix his career with joining Marseille but i don't know he will be good buy or not because previously he had serious injured history and besides that Marseille already have good strikers such as Luis Suarez or cengiz ünder
Alexis Sanchez still has advantages and can still be relied on even though he has a history of injuries as we all know. I think the presence of Sanchez in the Marseille squad can make a difference even though Marseille already has Luis Suarez. Sanchez can be played as a winger with nder who both still have speed.
Regardless of his injured history indeed he is experience player who playing at different league before and maybe playing at Marseille can make him showed again his best performance such as playing at Arsenal or Barcelona however since Igor Tudor handle this team Marseille always used one forward player with Suarez or Milik on the front line so i assume Sanchez probably played as a winger or second striker and next week Marseille will play for away match against Brest so looking forward to watch Sanchez debut match

Do you really think he can still make a difference? Like really? He is a decent substitute maybe, and even that I would not guarantee. Injuries all the time and yes, he isn't a bad player but if I was the manager and had to choose between a 22 year old rocket talent for my offensive game or Alexis Sanchez, I would go with the younger one (unless the younger one simply is much worse).

He might be an addition to a squad that is lacking some experience on the pitch and off the pitch. But he isn't choice number 1 anymore when it comes to a striker that you can depend on for a whole season.

considering that messi has a special friendship with xavi, as you said, it's likely that messi won't be retiring at psg. Laporta desire and statement to bring Messi back at Camp Nou was confirmed by a good response from Xavi, and I believe Messi will end his career with Barcelona. Even so, it would be impossible for Messi to leave PSG at this time which in fact he wants to win the Champions League title for PSG. Moreover, Barcelona will not be able to bring in Messi in the transfer market this season, they still have financial problems.

PSG is currently one of the favorite teams to win the champions league champion. and I believe this trio of strikers will make it happen.

I also think that Barcelona is the place for Messi to end his career. Barcelona also definitely want the superstar who gave color to the team, retiring between them.
Indeed Paris Saint Germain has a myriad of quality players, but they have not been able to compete at a higher stage. Even I don't think they will be able to do it.

Messi has good experience besides that PSG squad is the best this world, I personally not surprised he can score 2 goals.
Seem like he fits so well with Galtier, on the last 2 matches Messi was create 3 goals and 1 assist, it's a fast development from a new coach. we still have to wait on their target, Champions League is very tight between Ligue 1, and some of the club has known Messi's ability, which possibly stuck when PSG meets Barcelona where Messi has never scored a goal even once on his former club.

The main guess was when Messi's contract ends. That way nobody would have to pay PSG anything to get Messi, and Barcelona could swoop in and pay him a small amount to give him one more year to retire there. But I think if that was to be done, they could have found a way to do it. Look at how they made money and they are keeping their players and they asked others to cut their salaries. That should be proof enough that Messi could have been kept but there was a problem. Him not going to City was a shock, but him leaving Barcelona was expected for the past 2 years before he left, and I doubt he will return back.
