I can answer that with a question: why Manchester City didn't win Champions League although they have one of the best squad? Why Bayern didn't make it so far in CL although dominating Bundesliga by far and having many stars?
It isn't a matter of how much good players you have, it is a matter of how coherent is the players in every game, how tactically good is the coach and how much injuries they have in addition to how many mistakes were made especially in case of lack of concentration due to exhaustion.
Real Madrid won its game although being behind thanks to the lack of vigilance of their opponents when facing the dangerous offence of RM.. Ancelotti made mistakes but their rivals did worst. That's football after all.

I think Messi is staying and there is no merit to any other things. Sure he may make a longer contract eventually but there is a long time until his current one ends, so he could just take his time and the team could take their time as well. I still think him going back to Barcelona to play under Xavi would be very good, he would retire while playing for his old buddy and that would be a much better deal for them.

Ligue 1 transfer player still not dominance by other team except with PSG because other team not have enough money. Last season only Marseille as competitor for PSG and at the end league have AS Monaco but almost league ended but can't give anything difficult for PSG to be the winner of Ligue 1.

PSG has not become like Bayern Munich and Juventus but with rich ownership, then PSG will follow or will have the same trail as Bayern Munich 10 consecutive titles and Juventus 9 consecutive titles.
