I had an expectation from Marseille to lose points today after a winning streak of five matches. Rennes' scoring first made things more difficult for Marseille. Rennes also had a good performance actually but they must have been tired mentally and physically both after the Fenerbahce match in the Europa League. Otherwise they might have even won here.

Marseille have captured the lead despite the draw of course. But they will hope for PSG to lose against Lyon to be able to keep their lead. However this is a quite far possibility for me. Maybe PSG are focused on the Champions League more these days and Lyon are one of the teams that can take advantage of this. However PSG don't have any Champions League match next week. They wouldn't have any problems with focusing. Lyon might still get one point of course which is depending on the performance of the amazing trio of PSG. They were really impressive against Maccabi Haifa as each one of them scored a goal.

Having that kind of schedule is not easy for clubs of course, I mean league then ucl then league then ucl and then leauge again back to back, that has to make some players super tired in the end. I can see even PSG putting players like Messi out of the starting team just so he could take a breather, or maybe they won't do that, but if even PSG is having trouble with the deep bench issue, with all their money, then I am sure Marseille having the same issue would be normal as well.

I am not saying that it would be impossible, they can still beat Rennes, we just need to make sure that an upset is not over. Rennes however also played against Fenerbahce, so they could be tired too.

Playing with 10 players or less since the beginning of the game, while playing vs a better team, is exhausting and eventually will lead to receiving many goals. Of course this is what just happened and Monaco scored 3 goals in this match..
They are games that are running right now and Marseille is getting 1-1 vs Rennes while Nice is 1 goal behind vs Angers.

Yes, the player's advantage over Reims was really put to good use by Monaco. The result they can create 3 goals, although all created in the second half. It seems that the Monaco coach really gave directions during the first half. Statistically superior before the game, and ahead of the players during the match, was an opportunity that Monaco really took advantage of.

Even though Reims didn't get a red card, I still believe Monaco can beat Reims, because after all the quality of Monaco's players is much better
when compared to Reims. If we compare the performances of Reims and Monaco it is much different, Reims until week 8 in Ligue 1 is very difficult

Yes, this match will not be easy for the squad made by igor tudor which incidentally the players are tired and some of them are injured.
After his defeat in the Champions League against Fanktfurt, the squad made by Igor Tudor claimed that the defeat was due to a busy schedule and several of its players were injured.
However, that does not mean that Rennes will win this match easily. although their performance is starting to improve but their team is still very unstable, in their last five matches, rennes only got three wins and two of them drew.
but we agree, this match will end with a narrow score, my guess is, 2-1 is the final result.

I personally might still be in Marseille in this match although I know it's a bit risky because Rennes are also currently in pretty good form.
But compared to this series, it will only be a narrow victory I think considering that currently Marseille can always make good strikes and the defense is not bad I think.

It's really hard to attract fans in Ligue 1 because we know most people outside of France are obviously focused on France and that includes me in this.
It's quite difficult when you look at other teams in Ligue 1 when one club is different from the other.
As for Rennes and Marseille, surprises may exist but in this case I still expect a good performance from Marseille compared to Rennes.

It's true that Rennes are not an easy team for Marseille, and their meeting record says so. Where both teams beat each other, as you say. Surely this will be a stumbling block for Marseille who are in good form.
Marseille needs a win in order to maintain its position from Paris Saint Germain. But I also think, the possibility of the game ending in a draw is a possible outcome.

It's like there is no way we are seeing no goal in this game. A 1-1 draw in this game wouldn't also be very surprising.

Well, lets just assume Lyon is no match for PSG right now, because they aren't really. It would be shameful if after saying this, PSG goes on to draw or lose the match. Great players are in PSG now and besides this French league, the UCL is what they are hungry for. Messi didn't make a mistake by going to the club and so far, Mbappe , Neymar and the other teammates have ahowed much promise and composure as title contenders would. Easy win for PSG.
