Arsenal have officially loaned Nicolas Pepe to Nice for one season. Three years ago, Arsenal signed him with big hopes for a record price like 80 million euros. But unfortunately he couldn't satisfy the expectations from him. Before coming to the Premier League, he was performing great for Lille. The 18/19 season was his brightest one as he had stats like 22 goals and 11 assists in the Ligue 1. However he shared the same fate with Lacazette after coming to Arsenal.

Now as he is back in the Ligue 1, I hope to see the same positive change for Pepe like it's happened to Lacazette now. I'm surprised that Nice didn't prefer a buying option on the loan contract but maybe they would still go for signing him depending on his effort. I don't think Arsenal would say no to that.  Grin

I think have problem adapting faced by Nicolas Pepe with Arsenal and this season returning back with Nice as loan option, I think become his chance show to Arteta about wrong decision loan him to Ligue 1 team Nice. Problem faced by Nicolas Pepe under Arteta as Arsenal manager because he don't get regular playing with Arsenal and make him most difficult to show his talent, I think back to Nice and get back regular position just waiting time with Nicolas Pepe back to the top performance, exactly what happen with Lacazette have bad performance with Arsenal and this season he has back to top level with Lyon.

After Mikel Arteta did not include Nicolas Pepe in his plans for the 2022/2023 season, so Arsenal decided to loan Pepe to Nice. I can understand
why Arteta didn't include Pepe in his plans this season, because while playing for Arsenal and several times given the opportunity Pepe
appeared disappointing. Nicolas Pepe moved to Nice on a one-year loan and there is no option for a permanent purchase at the end of the loan.
Maybe because Arsenal who bought Pepe at a price of 72 pounds still want to use Pepe's services next season. What Arsenal did by loaning Pepe
to Nice was the right move, because at Arsenal Pepe didn't get enough playing time. So in order to increase Pepe's confidence and also so that
Pepe can rediscover his best form, it is better if Pepe is loaned to Nice. I'm sure with Nice Pepe will find his best form again, because before
joining Arsenal Pepe was playing very well with Lille. So it looks like Ligue 1 is the right competition for Pepe to be able to put out his best
performance again.

It's right about about time -  At first he looked liked the perfect back up for Saka. Then, it turns out that Arteta didn't want him because he didn't fit in. He had less playing time when compare with Saka. And even when he got the chance to play, it wasn't just enough. I think he made a great choice. In short, go where you are accepted and would be appreciated. He would do well in Nice.

He sure had a good time at Arsenal tho. Although at some point he was mostly being benched or used as a late sub but later on, he started impressing the fans but I think with the amount spent on h to come to Arsenal, I don't think he has worked for it yet, probably with this move to Nice we could see a different Pepe at the end of his loan season.

A job well done for lille team they managed to beat ajaccio it was expected since their opponent is having trouble getting points on the beginning of season but after lille poor performance and humiliating loss against psg their fans have started doubting them, they have a young squad and some good players i think lille team will easily compete for the top 5 spots.

Honestly players who play for clubs that do not end up being champions or being good in UCL or anything like that and play for a team that just simply failed.. would end up not being great when they are sold to another club. Think of it this way, if a team that relegates and has 30 goals all year and 22 came from their striker, you may think that the striker is good, but put him on City and he will be terrible.

You need to have some sort of situation where the player is tested in a bigger club in the long run as well before it could be seen as a great player. Like do not go from Nice to Arsenal, go from Nice to West Ham and then to Arsenal, that would be better.
It depends. Changing from a league to another is the worst scenario for every players since adapting to another team: coach + strategy + teammates + sometimes new position + another league isn't obvious for most. Even top players have to adapt for months or even years to become useful and some of them just fail.
Imagine the same thing happening to a fresh new striker in a weak team. Don't expect a lot from him in the first year. Professional seekers and coaches know that and when they recruit them, they know all of that, they are working for the future and giving him a chance to shine from time to time.

Ajaccio 1-3 Lille. Not bad after being destroyed by 7 few days ago.

If we look at the statistics of Ajaccio vs Lille's previous matches, Lille is undoubtedly the favorite in this match. I see no record of Lille losing or drawing against Ajaccio. However, Lille has not been in good form this season. They conceded 7 goals against PSG and shared the points with Nantes. However I think Lille will not drop points against Ajaccio. In this match, I will also put Lille ahead and bet on Lille to win. My prediction is Lille to win 1-0.
My mindset is not good for the beginning of this season. Congrats minairia3 Already 0-2 Lille managed to get a score at half time so far it's certain they will win this match, Ajaccio can't take advantage of the opportunity in counter attack to score goals, at this moment statistics are already very unlikely for Ajaccio. Being left behind by 2 goals is difficult, if they only being left scored 1 goal Ajaccio could probably draw, unfortunately this time their effort did not produce good results and moved away from the relegation zone.

His game didn't develop at Arsenal, I don't know if his adaptation didn't go well or if he couldn't cope with the coach's scheme but it's a really good option to leave rather than being on the bench all the time.
Pepe is having a hard time at Arsenal and hopefully coming back to Nice he can get himself motivated again and perform as well as 3 years ago

I know Nicholas Pepe will enjoy his stay here at Nice
He had a good season with Unai Emery as coach of Arsenal
But didn't go well when a change in a management came in also couldn't adapt so it means he has to go
He is a strong player and good with the feet and ball I wish h well in his stay

It is estimated that Nicolas Pepe cost Arsenal around £72 million when he joined the club. However, that signing turned out to be a flop in the end.

It is true that he did not have the performance that was expected of him at Arsenal. Hopefully, he will be able to perform better in Ligue-1. The decision from Nice to not buy him straight up is a better one in my opinion, as I believe that is the right decision.

My opinion is that it will be a better decision if they first watch and monitor how he performs and then make a decision based on that. If he performs well with Nice in the future, I think they should make an effort to buy him if he ends up doing well there. In any case, I think that the best option would be to not waste money in this situation.

Bought at a fairly expensive price but instead Pepe failed to show an impressive performance with Arsenal, actually I personally quite like Pepe style of play, he is able to press well and it's also very difficult to lose the ball when it's at his feet, but it's better for Pepe to return to the French league at this time so that he can improve his playing performance as Saliba did, I hope he will be fine at Nice and can show good development so that arsenal will recruit him again later, I think at a young age Pepe has great opportunity to return to play in the English league, but it all depends on his performance with Nice at the moment.

It's hard for me to name the favorite in the AC Ajaccio - Lille match. The hosts are now on relegated position in the table and in the matches so far have only get 1 point, but it must be admitted that they had strong opponents, and in each match, with a bit of luck, the result could have been better. Lille had a nice start, but they got a real beating from PSG last matchday and they lost 7-1. It can be difficult for the team to recover mentally after such a defeat. I bet on a draw in this match.
I think lille should quickly forget the painful defeat they experienced against PSG.
This is the time for Lille to vent their emotions to immediately get the mentality of Lille players, Lille when dealing with AC Ajaccio must make sure to win, and they are also in the lead. i think lille will win by late score

Lille lost perhaps too badly against PSG and conceded 7 goals. But they also shared points with Nantes. Nantes is not a strong team. The overall performance of the Lille team is now poor. They are not performing well. But Lille has a chance to get back on track with a win against Ajaccio. Hopefully Lille will not disappoint the fans in this match.

For today match Ajaccio vs Lille that Lille have to forget their disgraceful result from PSG and focus for upcoming match and they have good opportunity back to winning track because they had good records from their opponent Ajjacio especially as a host Ajaccio in the poor performance period because since pre season tour until last week Ajaccio was failure to win so probably Lille will going to win the match and bookmakers provide high odds for Lille @2.35
Lille must have forgotten their painful loss to PSG because this match is very important for them. even though it is predicted to be superior to Ajaccio but if Lille is trivial in this match then they will lose. from the last 3 matches Ajaccio only drew 1 and lost 2 times, it looks like they even in this match will lose to Lille.

Ajaccio is a promoted team that even, it took a long time for Ajaccio to be able to return to play in Ligue 1, meanwhile Lille is a strong team in Ligue 1. Indeed, Lille lost the previous match and even lost by a big score, but the opponent is PSG who really really can't be used as a comparison with a promotion team like Ajaccio. So in this moment, Lille will still have a better chance to get the full points and not care about the previous result about defeat by PSG. What is clear, at this moment Lille will prove that they are a good team and for me, there is no good reason for Lille not to win in this match because the opponent is Ajaccio who even in the past Lille had a good record against Ajaccio.
yes I think so too bro, I'm very sure Lille will win the match. Fonseca are sure to make some changes to shake things up after their 7-1 loss to PSG last time out, with Jonas Martin potentially replacing Angel Gomes to shore up the midfield area.
Remy Cabella and Mohamed Bayo could return to the team after missing against PSG, meaning Jonathan David may move into a wider role.
worth waiting for the reaction from Lille after their humiliating defeat to PSG last weekend. My prediction is a small loss for newly promoted Ajaccio might happen Ajaccio 0-3 Lille

It is not hard for me to set my prediction in this game, Lille are my favorites to win, they were humilated in their last game, but that was against psg, we did not expect a different result from what we saw that day, Lille will be desperate to get on the field soon enough to perform better for their fans, and also for their confidence, which must be down after that humilating defeat to psg. Lille have won one game, drawn one and lost one, as for Ajaccio, they have won none, drawn one and lost twice, and i am sure they are not going to win against Lille, too bad for them because they have started very bad, and they may be in a relegation fight very early this season.

I also think about that, it is difficult for Lille to win the match and get full points, indeed Ajaccio in head to head has lost more than won or draw, but this team cannot be considered very weak. Even though Lille stats are better than Ajaccio and the chances of winning their match are higher for Lille, but chances of a draw are also possible.

Although Ajaccio have only got one point from 3 matches in Ligue 1, but the opponents that Ajaccio faced in those 3 matches were strong teams.
So it's very natural that Ajaccio has difficulty winning, at least Ajaccio has only lost so far by a difference of one goal. This means that Ajaccio's
defense is quite solid and it is not easy for the opposing teams to win against Ajaccio. So in week 4 of Ligue 1, Ajaccio will again face a strong team,
the opponent they will face is Lille.

Although the quality of Lille players is indeed much better than Ajaccio, but the mentality of Lille players is declining, where the previous match
Lille was defeated by PSG with a very large score, This can be used by Ajaccio, who plays at home by attacking directly in the early minutes.
Who knows Lille off guard in the early minutes, and Ajaccio can score a goal first. So getting a draw is good enough for Ajaccio, because with
the quality of Ajaccio's players, it seemed they would also have a hard time defeating Lille.
