I'm not sure whether this was a good choice for PSG to spend unbelievable amount of money for him. I think they made a gold choice keeping him he is the most influencial player on the team next to messi and neymar he is psg top scorer this season not to mention he scored many goals this season i dont thinl the team need new players they have so many top level ones so i think they will be okay they just need a good coach with a solid strategy.

The decision of keeping mbappe is obviously right, but the decision is right for PSG. I think they have kept the player for two reasons.

One is they wanted to not let the player go for nothing when he was worth €200 million just the season before that.

And another thing is it can be a hard job to find a replacement for him. I really don't know if the performance is going to improve for PSG in the next season but if it doesn't, they will be left scratching their head.

Messi is in the end of career and his low performance since his participation in PSG shows that his time at top level will not be too long from now. Neymar is younger than Messi but he has issues with traditional Brazilian players, he is not too professional to take care of his fitness and his health.

So far Neymar has a longer career than Adriano but we can not say Neymar has reached to his best and probably he will never reach to his best. After 30s, there are very few players who can play better than themselves in under 30s.

They successfully convinced Mbappe to sign a new contract with them but it is not a too long contract, just 3 years and what Mbapped said after the contract renew shows that he still opens his future with Real Madrid. He does not want to make Real Madrid and Florentino Perez feel disappointed about his decision to stay in PSG.

@hd49728 this decision will haunt PSG in the long run, because each new transfer will demand a huge amount to sign up with them, and they have foolishly laid down the concept that at PSG the player is bigger than the club. Also Real Madrid may never sign him now, because their star liked a tweet criticising him and that shows badly they’re hurt by his decision not to join them.

I think Mbappé have got much salary on new contract with PSG and really not care with Real Madrid although success on champion league, Mbappé have get full power on PSG right now after many time news he tries how to kick coach and several player on PSG. Not easy for other player on PSG if Mbappé have get controlling about who will keep extended or have move from PSG team next season.

It was a nice decision by PSG, retaining mbappe was a good move from them. A player like mbappe is really needed in the team, his impact in the team will be hardly replace, he is a goal machine and a rare gem on the pitch. Perhaps Realmadrid was a dream team for mbappe, but PSG offered him such a huge salary and power in the club, that makes him extended a long lasting contract in the team, and he has the power to control and decide what happened in the team.

Auxerre used to be good in the past, picking first places until they failed last time, 10 years ago, and failed to return until this season. They have relatively young players so I assume they will try to add few other players to make the team more competitive. It is hard to compare a team in Ligue 2 with another in Ligue 1 but assuming that they are close to St-Etienne then things don't look promising without some changes.

After PSG, the team I liked the most in this season were absolutely Monaco. Because they maintained their consistency at the end of the season. In the previous season they finished it at the third position. Now they repeated this again. In fact they started this season very badly but this was still not an obstacle for them to have problems on getting over it. They improved their performance too much recently and had a huge winning streak at the end of the season also. They were nearly finishing the season even at the 2nd position but it was a dramatic finale for them against Lens unfortunately.

St Etienne is a renowned team. It is a pity that such a team will not be able to qualify for Ligue 1. They have been performing poorly since the beginning of the season. Their performance in the last few seasons has not been good. Yet their management did not take appropriate steps to stabilize the team. And so this season they have lost the ability to think in Ligue 1. Auxerre's team is not very strong but their performance is quite stable.

They are quite equal in the 2 matches in the 2 legs they played but indeed in this case the balance and mentality of the Auxerre players seem to be much stronger.
It is a shame indeed for St. Etienne but on the other hand this will definitely happen because sooner or later a team that really can't compete will be eroded and move to a lower caste

It was actually really sad to see the way that they have been relegated this season. They obviously did not play well in the season but they did try their best to stay in league one and they played their heart out in the decider match. But they lost in the penalty shootout which is really unfortunate. I hope they will be able to come back strongly and do well in the next season. Hopefully, they will be able to play in league one soon enough.

I think they might be able to do well. And St Etienne needs to earn their place back if they want to play in league one again.
