Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

Yes indeed, the point is that I am personally still very curious and will wait for how PSG will be next season after Mbappe departure to Real Madrid. Although indeed, basically I still recognize that PSG is a great team because it has good finances, because with good finances it will certainly make the team develop well too, at least that's how it should be. With PSG's condition without Mbappe but PSG also has a great coach who has great experience, and it will also still provide good results for PSG even though only in Ligue 1.

Because anyway, to reach the final in the Champion League I think also can not only rely on luck. Because after all, PSG always has great efforts but in fact PSG still gets not so good results in the Champions League. Thus, maybe by having good quality players on each line and also good second-tier players it will make PSG able to be more consistent with good performance in every match next season.

In my opinion, PSG lacked luck to reach the Champions League final last season, or maybe luck has nothing to do with it, but it was precisely the lack of forwards who could not play coolly in the decisive matches, and especially at the end of the return match, when they hit the crossbar several times, but could not hit the goal. PSG's potential is very high, but they often lack something in decisive matches, by the way, City with Guardiola also went for a very long time to win, and more than once they stopped one step before victory, this also happens, but the main thing is to keep moving, one day they will achieve their goal.

I thought we would see only PSG dominance in this match. Because PSG team is stronger than Sturm Graz. But Sturm Graz is performing well in this match. PSG are not able to dominate the match. At the end of the first half, the match was tied at 2-2.

PSG took a 2-0 lead just 12 minutes into the match. I thought PSG will dominate the match and PSG will win by a big margin. But Sturm Graz players played very well. PSG had 73% ball possession in the first half, while PSG players made a total of 4 shots. Sturm Graz's players had only 27% of the possession. But Strum Graz players made a total of 8 shots. Strum Graz players performed very well in the first half. I would say Sturm's players performed better than PSG's players. Despite having Kolo Muani, Soler and Ramos in PSG's squad, PSG's attacking performance has been relatively weak.
But the score did not change until the match ended and both teams had to accept a draw without a winner. It seems that PSG has lowered the intensity of its attacks in the second half and it looks like they are quite happy with this result. On the other hand, Sturm Graz who appeared so serious wanted this victory. But what a shame every time they launched an attack they could not increase their goal advantage and it was difficult to do the same thing as the first half.

It was also seen in the second half that Luis Enrique withdrew some of his players for refreshment and also included one of his new recruits who was bought expensively from Benfica, namely Joao Neves and in this match he got a score of 6.5 which was quite good. Luis Enrique still wants to see how his players work together through pre-season matches so he is also not that ambitious about winning.

Mbappé really did a lot for Paris Saint-Germain. There is no denying that. He was a great player for Paris and left a big mark. Although he went to Real Madrid, he spent most of his life in Paris Saint-Germain. Paris Saint-Germain is probably looking for the player to follow him right now. There are many young and quality players in the French League, they will definitely find the player after him.

Mbappe has contributed a lot in the number of matches that PSG have won but we should not only look at Mbappe's contribution to the club but also what the club has done to retain Mbappe. PSG may be the first club in history to double their salary every season to retain a player while also giving the player responsibility for the club. Despite doing so much, they could not keep Mbappe in their team in the end.
Mbappe could have moved to Real Madrid long ago but the annual salary perks have kept him at PSG for several seasons. However, when he saw that even though he got money from PSG, his career was not bright, he signed a contract with Real Madrid and became a free agent again. Now he may be paid less annually but his achievements for Real Madrid will be there and next season we might see a Ballon d'Or next to his name

PSG have dominated Ligue 1 for a very long time and I don't think they have any problem in winning the domestic title. Without Mbappe PSG are still the strongest team in Ligue 1. They have a good coach and it's true as you said with Enrique they are getting better season by season. Honestly they were quite good in UCL by reaching semi-finals. But IMO PSG really needed Mbappe's contribution in UCL last season. This season they don't have Mbappe so there will be a problem in their front line if there is no other striker who can take Mbappe's role.
Enrique is having a tough job in choosing a more suitable front line player to start this season so well, but because there is no one comparable to Mbappe, of course it doesn't mean Enrique doesn't have other options for the front line players. Because PSG still have to be considered in the domestic League and also in UCL because some of the existing players will not be too bad for Enrique to rely on in the front line while looking at some other players in the transfer market this season with the amount of finances that PSG has.

Like many other pre-season matches played by other teams, the final result of the match did not have a big impact on them. Like PSG for example, I did not watch this match. But, as usual, Enrique experimented again with the system and pattern that he applied when PSG played Sturm Graz. Based on the references that I used as references, Enrique used a 4-4-2 pattern, pairing Ramos and Kolo Muani. I am not too sure if PSG will use this pattern in the real competition, it seems that he just wants to experiment while evaluating his players. Besides, Enrique is tinkering with his players. Maybe for Sturm Graz this match can be a benchmark for them, because PSG is a giant team in the French League. We'll see in the next pre-season match, between Leipzig and PSG. We can judge whether Enrique will continue to use the same pattern, or he will try to change it while looking at the potential of the available players. What is certain is that PSG must be ready because the real competition will begin soon.

As PSG's squad lacks experienced and talented players like Mbappe, and Luis Enrique is yet to find a suitable replacement for Mbappe. So Luis Enrique is trying to stabilize PSG's overall performance by changing his match tactics. But I doubt if he will succeed.

Last season we saw Mbappe rested for several matches by Luis Enrique. And without Mbappe, he has experimented with the PSG squad. But without Mbappe, PSG's performance was comparatively poor.

Yesterday's match against Sturm Graz was a 2-2 draw. PSG played in a 4-4-2 formation in this match. Last season we saw PSG team play in 4-3-3 formation. However, looking at PSG's overall performance in this match, I think it will be challenging for this team to win the Ligue 1 title next season as well. PSG desperately need a suitable replacement for Mbappe.

Sturm Graz is just team from Austria and they play in the Austrian Bundesliga, so far Sturm Graz has been one of the strongest there and in this pre-season match Sturm Graz was able to make PSG feel pressured and failed to win.
In this match PSG also in few minutes until the beginning of the second half started to play using several players for the main squad, even the dominance of the game was owned by PSG in full, but unfortunately after the 2 goal they had failed to add to the advantage.
I saw PSG had 2 goal in the near future at the beginning of the first half and predicted big win could be obtained by PSG, my prediction is up to 4 or 5 goal.

From the results of this match I feel the umpteenth time the pre-season match showed the superior team failed to win.

It's tiring if we keep talking about the champions league on PSG and in the end they are just clowns in the competition.
Yes, this is just a mere dream, never mind, there's no need to talk about it anymore because in the end it won't work anyway.   Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway, new latest news:
Again, Marseille have successfully signed another player as a loan.
Valentín Carboni, 19-year-old Attacking Midfielder from Inter Milan till Jun 30, 2025

Source: Marseille have signed Valentin Carboni loan

So far, Olympique Marseille has managed to bring in 7 new players for the team, either paid, loan, or transfer fee.
This really interesting, just when I taught Marseille is done signing for the season, they are adding yet another to the squad. Last season they didn't do much so maybe they are getting prepared already, they have to strength the team because a possible opportunity avails it self ahead in this new season and they may have the chance to be amongst the top team especially if they are able to win trophies or finish well by the end of the Season in their domestic league. PSG that has been trying to fix their team aswell, the teams will trying to increase the competition in the league as they are seeing that most likely the dominance of the top teams may not be there again.

I mean with Dembele, Neves, Ramos, Muani, and even with Emery who is getting better, I would say PSG offensive line is still quite strong. Doesn't mean anything will change, but at least there is no expectation for them to get better, it's just not looking all that possible. I personally believe that we are going to see them do just fine and with this much money spent on the players it doesn't make sense for them to do just fine.

Let's see how far they will go in UCL, that part is something I wonder a lot. With some luck on which teams they will play, they may actually go very far, but if they get unlucky then they may not do all that well neither, so that's all a great situation which would be a little bit of a trouble on the long term.

This is why I think it's quite easy to say that PSG has a season that will decide on a lot of things ahead, because this season will be first without Mbappe and based on how they do, they will have the future set out for them. If they do fine, then they will think that they are on the right path and just go do that, but if they end up bad then they will realize they need to change something and do something about that, all of it depends on this season.
With the squad that PSG currently has, it is only enough to win the Ligue 1 trophy and other domestic trophies. Meanwhile, to go further in the Champions League or win it, PSG must first find a replacement for Mbappe, because it greatly affects their bargaining value there. Everyone is curious about what will happen after Mbappe leaves, last season PSG managed to reach the semifinals, without Mbappe it seems they will find it difficult to repeat it. So far no agreement has been reached with players who have been linked like Osimhen, while Ligue 1 will soon roll.

On the other hand, I agree that PSG must change some of its policies that have been considered the best way to achieve success in the future, replacing star players with star players does not guarantee a step closer to winning trophies. PSG must learn to be like Bayern Munchen, who came from a League that was not so competitive but was able to win trophies in the Champions League. Almost every season Bayern Munchen is included in the list of favorite teams to win, this can be realized because they build a team collectively that does not depend on one or two star players.

One good reason to say the management of PSG had good performance and made good decisions was hiring Enrique for the last season. Unlike other coaches in PSG, Enrique is a coach who has the experience of working this superstar players and he played against many strong teams when he was working in Barcelona.
Since they had many superstar players but they didn't have a good coach they decided to hire Enrique to have better performance which was a good move from PSG.

PSG has been hiring wrong managers before now which I think is the reason why they will have good squad but couldn’t win the Champions League because most of these managers don’t know how to manage big players and they do make some decisions that is always not favorable for the team.

Luiz Enrique has been a good manger since his time at Barcelona, he managed some set of world-class players and won trophies with the , he also managed the Spain national team which is another way to get used to world class players even though he didn’t do that for long. Now, he can do another good job at PSG because the team also have good players, and I hope he can help them achieve their main aim which is winning the Champions League.

Considering PSG's manager history for a long time, Luis Enrique might also get sacked in case of not winning a Champions League title this season.  Sad  It is like they are able to be patient for only 2 years the most. I don't see many names keeping their job for more than that time period. We have seen so many big names being signed by PSG but still no Champions League trophy achieved...

If one of these names is given more years instead of only 1 or 2 years, then maybe they can achieve their biggest goal. It wouldn't be bad to give it a try. Just take Liverpool - Klopp relationship as an example.  Smiley
So far PSG has only given a coach the opportunity for only two seasons to train PSG regardless of whether they win the domestic title or not at all, what PSG has doing is quite crazy by giving a coach a short period of time to build their squad, but I don't think what PSG is doing is wrong because that way they don't have to pay compensation if the coach is unable to make PSG better during his coaching period, because with a duration of 2 years of course their contract will end faster than giving a long-term contract to a coach who finally resulted in his dismissal from the team.

Enrique has been a very experienced coach so far but I think currently he is not supported by quality players who are capable in every line to competing in the champions league, but if he had arrived sooner when PSG still had the MNM trio so maybe now PSG have won their first UCL trophy, I think Enrique fate will be very different from the previous coach who coached PSG if he is able to win the Champions League trophy in next season so it is likely he will get a contract extension,

You are wrong PSG returning to good days doesn't mean they should hire super expensive players like Messi and Neymar again. They already have a good coach who can help this team to have good performance and he can help PSG to hire better players instead of just hiring superstar players.
I think time after time with Enrique, PSG can have a good time and get progress and improved.  s

Of course Enrique's a good coach. However, coaching alone won't win the Champions League. PSG needs stars, it's true. Mbappe's departure leaves a vacuum. He instills fear in opponents, not simply goals. Good but not great last season. Decent won't compete with the big boys. Tactics matter, but without execution, you're playing chess with pawns versus kings. PSG needs a statement signing. A player who scores and changes the game

Football's a business. Money, fame, and winning matter. It takes talent, strategy, and luck to win. With strategy but no aptitude, Enrique is a mechanic without a car. PSG must market aggressively. Find that missing piece, then let Enrique work. Respect Enrique's ideology. But philosophy doesn't win awards. They play. PSG must balance the books, sign a superstar, and let Enrique build his team. This is their only chance to stay relevant in Europe

One good reason to say the management of PSG had good performance and made good decisions was hiring Enrique for the last season. Unlike other coaches in PSG, Enrique is a coach who has the experience of working this superstar players and he played against many strong teams when he was working in Barcelona.

PSG is one of their most expensive transfers in the 2024/2025 summer transfer season. Benfica's young midfielder Neves was in the 60 million euro transfer. Of course, we will see much higher transfer fees until the transfer season ends. According to my research, the highest payments are currently between 60-65 million euros.

Although there is a 120 million euro exit clause in his contract valid until 2028, Benfica has stated that they will not force this clause in this transfer. PSG is entering a new era with the new season, the legendary squad they had previously established has already been destroyed, Mbappe has also left and they are now trying to build the team on a new system.

I think PSG should focus on transfers that will contribute to the team rather than expensive transfers. Of course, they can buy players at the prices you mentioned, but there are many missing players in the team and a team like PSG can produce its own stars. There are many young and potential players in the world and if PSG is a big team, they should find such players.

Mbappe is gone but it is not a dream to see a stronger PSG. If PSG can find players who will contribute to the team and have star potential during the transfer period, PSG, which everyone thinks is losing power, can rise again.
I agree that PSG can return to its former glory and glory. As long as they make the right transfers. Mbappe is gone but it's not the end of the world. Luis Enrique is a coach who will know how to deal with this. So with his experience, PSG can become a better team.

You are wrong PSG returning to good days doesn't mean they should hire super expensive players like Messi and Neymar again. They already have a good coach who can help this team to have good performance and he can help PSG to hire better players instead of just hiring superstar players.

It may not always work to spend big money and bring in great players. We saw this in the old days with PSG. They could not win the UCL and they had great players in their squad. Now we see that in order to be successful at PSG, you need to play the team game in the best way possible. Enrique is doing this. That's why I congratulate him. I think they can be successful without Mbappe. As long as they play without breaking the team discipline.

PSG thinks that Mbappe loves his country France and will always be loyal to PSG and the club also gives privileges to the player and he also has the highest salary among other players, but PSG forgets that a star player doesn't only think about big salaries and doesn't just explore football in one league, they definitely want to pursue their dreams and want to find different experiences while Mbappe's dream since he was little is to become one of the great players and play for Real Madrid and now he is going through the process. Let's see how PSG performs without Mbappe next season, I think his goal productivity will decreased unlike before when they were still assisted by Mbappe in creating many goals.
If PSG thinks so, then they have misjudged Mbappe, as long as PSG always showers Mbappe with money in the hope that the player will continue to stay there. Mbappe is considered to always stay if the club is able to provide him with luxury, but money is not the only goal of the player because achievement is also very much needed. If PSG had achieved in the Domestic League and Champions League, perhaps Mbappe would have stayed there, but his departure was purely because he wanted to feel the extraordinary sensation of lifting the UCL trophy. Every player has a dream, he will pursue his dream to a place that makes it easier for him to achieve it, Real Madrid is the right place for him to get something that has never been won in his career.

This season they don't have Mbappe so there will be a problem in their front line if there is no other striker who can take Mbappe's role.
Since Luis Enrique signed a contract with PSG, I think he started to realize that Kylian Mbappe couldn't stay in his squad for long. Luis Enrique did not play Mbappe in several matches, indicating that PSG was no longer completely dependent on the contribution of one player. However, Kylian Mbappe got 29 playing slots in Ligue 1 last season by scoring 27 goals and 7 assists, while Mbappe scored 8 goals in 12 appearances in the Champions League last season.

I agree with you that PSG will still dominate Ligue 1 without Mbappe. They have a lot of quality players which will help them get what they want, but their performance in the Champions League is still questionable. Dembele has not been as good as expected, neither have several other strikers. Goal productivity will probably be lower than last season, but something could not be as I say.
