Well at PSG they have a team that I don't see much potential in , to be honest, they have a coach who has had to change a lot of things, and for me a team like PSG needs to make a lot of Changes because their biggest star is gone, is there someone like Mbappé to look for? It's difficult, but they have to do something to make them perform. PS has always been first in Ligue 1, but in Ligue 1 , in the UCL, not even when Messi was there did they Manage to win the UCL, so this is one of the goals they have to set themselves.
In the UCL this season there are still many who still doubt PSG, especially with Mbappe's departure to another team, there are still no other players that PSG have got who are on par with Mbappe. Besides, it also makes sense to say that now because even when Messi was there PSG couldn't win the UCL trophy, especially when all the star players have left PSG like now. But it would be very surprising if this season PSG could perform well in the UCL and successfully win the title because now PSG does not have more star players in its squad even though that is not what many people are thinking about PSG.
Every time a new coach joins Paris Saint Germain, there are so many things they have to fix and it takes a long time to change it to be really very good. This is not an easy job for a coach, because they have to start from the bottom. Not only in strategy, but it will be comprehensive such as to the depth of the squad and others. Chemistry between players will also be a task for the coach to create, because I see Paris Saint Germain as a team that has chemistry between players that is not too good. Now almost everyone hopes that Enrique can provide a good touch so that Paris Saint Germain can be even better. But I hope expectations are not excessive because it is not easy for him to do that, especially if it is expected to bring Paris Saint Germain to achieve more in the Champions League. Their opponents are not small teams and even some teams are better than them.

PSG must really protect their players this time because there was interest from a Saudi league team that wanted to recruit a Korean player, Lee Kang-In. I think it would be quite crucial if the player accepted a large salary offer and that's why PSG would be at a great disadvantage if Lee Kang-In left. Lee Kang-In has been a mainstay of PSG's midfield for the past two seasons and he has shown no decline in performance at all until now.

Not only that, interest in Lee Kang-In reportedly also came from an EPL team and PSG firmly rejected the offer last month. The fee offered was very large, 70m euros, but PSG certainly would not be tempted by that money considering their finances are one of the best at the moment.

Source: https://www.footmercato.net/a7513987271979421172-larabie-saoudite-prepare-une-offre-xxl-pour-kang-in-lee-et-le-psg

What PSG must do from now on is to keep their talents in the team, not to sell them. Therefore they are doing the right thing by keeping Lee Kang-In.  Smiley  They wanted to keep Mbappe as well but the plans didn't go as they expected.

Now I'm just curious about whether we will see any star signing in this transfer window. To fill a star like Mbappe's place of course. They surely wish they were able to sell Mbappe for a good fee instead of free agent.

If there is no FFP problem in the Ligue 1 then they can still make a big spending for another star I assume. But who would it be? I don't see any such player on their radar these days.
Lee Kang-In is still young and his potential will continue to grow if handled properly and as one of the future investments, PSG will certainly not let him go just because of the lure of money.

No player can surpass Mbappe himself. Mbappe is so complete not only as a player but also commercially he has generated money for PSG so far. What PSG needs if they want to make people interested in seeing them again is to bring in comparable stars but I don't think those stars will be available for long.

On the other hand, over time PSG will definitely be forgotten by some people because a club as big as that has only been filled with star players and if there are no players who can make this team noticed then it is certain that they have nothing to be proud of. For example, even if they could sign Osimhen, I don't think his name could be compared to Mbappe who has had crazy achievements from his youth until now.

So far, Olympique Marseille has managed to bring in 7 new players for the team, either paid, loan, or transfer fee.
This really interesting, just when I taught Marseille is done signing for the season, they are adding yet another to the squad. Last season they didn't do much so maybe they are getting prepared already, they have to strength the team because a possible opportunity avails it self ahead in this new season and they may have the chance to be amongst the top team especially if they are able to win trophies or finish well by the end of the Season in their domestic league. PSG that has been trying to fix their team aswell, the teams will trying to increase the competition in the league as they are seeing that most likely the dominance of the top teams may not be there again.
It's still not stopping.
Already Marseille have signed 8 players including loan transfers. Actually they have been quite successful in selling some of their players for a good price, so far their Current transfer record is still plus, in +€20.50m.

And now, they are bidding Arsenal Striker, Eddie Nketiah (CF/25YO)
Arsenal set £25 million as deal worth, but Marseille not yet agree, last bid £17m.
Negotiations still ongoing. Personal agreement done. Nketiah happy to join OM.

Source: Olympique Marseille have sent new bid to Arsenal for Eddie Nketiah!
Marseille is definitely generating news as it targets men like Nketiah and makes some major moves in the transfer market. But Integrating eight new players, especially ones coming from different leagues, is a huge challenge. A team needs time to come together, so there is no assurance it will go exactly. Nketiah has promise, absolutely, but Ligue 1 and the Premier League are distinct.

And lets be clear, Marseille's hesitation to meet Arsenal's budget says volumes. Maybe they're being smart with their money, or maybe they're not 100% sold on Nketiah. Look, I like ambition. I like it when teams try to make a statement. Still, this is not about launching a power attack against PSG. It concerns assembling a winning squad. And that goes beyond merely lavishing money on well-known personalities.

I can't wait to see what Marseille is going to do by next season, because the number of players they have signed already is such that I'm even surprised they such capacity, I least expected this form them as we see PSG to be the richest in the ligue 1 but here's Marseille showing much capacity already with the signing this season, what really interest me with this particular signing is that even the Arsenal star is very much willing and wants to move over except for the Clause Arsenal is attaching to the deal and the ongoing discussion that has seemed back and forth and Marseille even thinking of exploring other options, indeed the competition in the ligue 1 this new season is good to be very competitive than it used to be hopeful.

Marseille might get a chance to compete with PSG this season because PSG no longer has Mbappe, if they don't recruit Victor Oshimen, it is likely that PSG's performance will be mediocre, therefore Marseille has made many changes by bringing in several players, especially in several very important lines such as their back line and front line.

Marseille do have a prospect of winning League 1 if PSG doesn't put their club inorder before the league starts. They don't have mbappe again but they don't want to sign someone to replace him. There are many wingers available that they can go for to replace mbappe or just go for a striker that they can depend on to get them goals when they need them to win games but they're feeling redundant. Lille and Monaco shouldn't not be left out of the conversation of likely winners because they have been runner up for some seasons and if PSG doesn't have their camp in order, we can except this clubs to come into the fight for who will win but I do think PSG will be competent next season in lifting the trophy again. There isn't many clubs that can stand toes to toes with PSG in Ligue 1. PSG just need to get everything done on time and sign new players and they become the favourites again

I saw some news a few weeks ago about Marseille and hiring some good players and coaches and it seems the Saudis were about to buy this team and hire some superstar players for them but currently and compared to a team like PSG, they are not in the same level at all and Marseille doesn't have enough power to race with a team like PSG and beat this team.
I think even after PSG loses Mbappe, they will can hire some other player to fill his place because of the money they have, and still Marseille can't race with PSG.

Olympique Marseille is not taking this season lightly. The signing of Mason Greenwood, Ismaël Koné, and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg excites me because I want to see the end of PSG dominance. I just hope the deal for Eddie Nketiah pulls through because he would be an ideal replacement for the departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. It is good Roberto De Zerbi is getting these players because the team that he met will not be able to win the league. Eddie was tipped to be one of the best strikers in the EPL but his lack of playing time has affected his performance. Hopefully, he will have more time to improve himself in France. The absence of Mbappe in PSG and the absence of involvement of Olympique Marseille in any European competition might be their advantage in winning League One.

Champions league is a league for Champions coming from different leagues, it is not something easy to win with an average performance. PSG are still struggling, even when they had the best of the squad together they were still unable to win the UCL, talk more of now when the players who where the pioneers are no longer in the team. PSG wants the UCL but their value doesn't match to reflect the outcome of what they have in mind, they will someday win the UCL but not this season untill further in the feature when the squad is updated with key players.
I also think the same for PSG who even with the new format in the Champions League this season will not help PSG much to win their first trophy if their squad depth is still very mediocre. But I am very impressed with the efforts of the current PSG coach who continues to target the best players to be brought into the PSG squad and of course that is to increase the strength of the PSG team in all the events they participate in this season. But for my belief in the Champions League, I think what you said is much more accurate, where PSG will still find it quite difficult to win the Champions League this season if we look at the players that PSG currently has.

PSG has never won the UCL in its simpler format. So, it's hard to believe they can win it in this more complicated version. Though Enrique is slowly building a decent squad for the UCL, I think they will still fail.

Look at the current outright for UCL.

PSG was not even in the top 5 favored to win the UCL. It has also surprised me how City is still the most favored club to win the UCL. PSG seems to be failing again soon.

Madrid/City most likely to win the UCL this season.

UCL is not an easy competition for PSG to win, they have had several chances and failed, now maybe with the new format some people have hope for PSG to win UCL, but in reality it is not that easy.
If later PSG gets match schedule against big and strong team like Real Madrid, Manchester City or Inter Milan then it is certain that they will not get an easy victory and of course it is difficult for PSG to save full points.
Indeed, for now in utilizing the summer transfer window shows that Enrique is actively looking for and bringing in potential players to strengthen the team, but in the next season I doubt it can help them much in the UCL competition.

I have no doubt that Luis Enrique is a very experienced coach. But is PSG's squad strong enough this season? Is PSG's current squad strong enough to dominate Ligue 1 and the Champions League? I don't think so.

Without Mbappe, PSG's attack is relatively weak. Luis Enrique managed to strengthen the bonding between the players. Luis Enrique's match strategy is also very good. But without a good and experienced finisher, it is very difficult to sustain a consistently good performance. And it will be even more difficult in the Champions League. So I don't expect much from PSG next season unless they find a suitable replacement for Mbappe.
I still admit the dominance of League 1 but to compete strongly like last season in the Champions League I really doubt PSG.
Previously PSG always dominated League 1 even though there were only a few professional players left, even without Mbappe PSG would still be able to dominate the title but without a reliable striker like Mbappe, PSG certainly would not be able to compete in the Champions League even though they currently have a replacement for Mbappe but their talents are not equal.

Yes, maybe we are too early to say this but since we remember Enrique trying not to use Mbappe in his attack line, the results were very bad last season, more often ending in draws and losses.
That is the reason I support your opinion that in the UCL later PSG will have a lot of trouble.

There seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding about this explanation as it is not Arsenal who want 25 million and I have actually discussed this before.

Initially, Arsenal made a statement that they would release Eddie Nketiah for 40 million.

After that Marseille made an offer of 27 million but Arsenal still rejected the offer because they wanted 35 million.

After that Marseille have the alternative of trying to recruit Wahi as a last resort but will still prioritize Eddie Nketiah but will wait for the final decision from Arsenal after the proposal submitted is approved.

So far PSG has not recruited a striker to replace Mbappe or indeed PSG is not in a hurry in this matter and may think of trying to survive with the players they have by looking at the tactics that Luis Enrique will do in building a club without a goal-hungry winger, PSG has several wingers but yes they are not as great as PSG maybe this will be their chance to show their abilities that do not only rely on Mbappe.

I don’t think he is going to allow something like that to happen. Even though things are not that good for PSG, they still have hope. But if the players are interested in leaving PSG, either for money or to go to a better club, then it is going to be a different story. Because if players want to leave, it is very hard to make them stay. and even if they end up staying, you cannot guarantee that they are going to perform well. I’m sure PSG knows that very well.

The UCL is no big joke this season, any team wanting it should have to do even better than last season. PSG are going to get competitive but not dominating on the Champions league, I feel there is a lot of team with better squad compared to PSG. It's best they focus mainly on other leagues which they have better chances of securing the victory because it will turn into a hell if they should focused on becoming Champions league winner, not having it at the end and still going trophy less for the season.
The competition in UCL is always competitive every season, teams that want to win the trophy must be able to maintain their performance and not make any mistakes in the match. The only reason PSG have never won the UCL trophy is because they don't have a winning mentality and the players always struggle when facing other favorites. The very low competition in Ligue 1 also had an impact on PSG's failure in the UCL, they often got easy wins in the domestic league because the quality of their opponents was still far below them.

Winning the UCL trophy is not as easy as imagined, even though PSG has spent a lot of money, they still haven't been able to get the trophy. Luis Enrique must be able to erase PSG's curse in the Champions League, he who has experience with Barcelona must be able to improve PSG quality so that they can compete in the UCL.

We can't say anything yet about PSG in the next season without Mbappe. Mbappe was a big part of PSG and he was an effective player on this team but still, he was just a player and we know Enrique or all the other people in PSG were expecting to see Mbappe leave the team and they were getting ready for it. That's why they could have a plan for the time when he leaves the team and they could find an alternative player to take his place in PSG.
Even Enrique said they would fill the place of Mbappe in PSG with the teamwork of all players.

They should forget about Mbappe and they should focus on the squad they have now, Mbappe is an individual while in football they will play as a team, so it should not have a big impact even though Mbappe is a player who contributes greatly to Paris Saint Germain's attack. If they keep remembering Mbappe then it will have a bad impact on them and also it will never bring Mbappe back into their squad because the contract at Real Madrid has also been signed. Instead they have to show that even without Mbappe in the squad they can play even better. They have the potential to do all that, it just depends on how they can utilize the great potential that is within them.

Mbappe is now a Real Madrid player I wonder why people are still talking about him as if he's still in the PSG team, PSG could have a better team in absence of Mbappe since the team will not be dependent on any one's shoulder again and coming to the next season I expect the coach to encourage the players to focus more on having the growth and betterment of the club at heart before choosing to pursue individual achievements. Once they play as a team and work on their performance they may still dominate the Ligue1 and make a difference in the champions league competition next season.

we agree and as I often discuss in several posts, Mbappe has left. Like it or not, PSG must be ready with the available players or bring in other options in this summer's transfer window. even we know that the coming and going of players does not make the club disappear, they will look for a replacement and ensure the next steps. Mbappe is one of the great players, but when his dream is difficult to realize with PSG, then he has the right to choose his future. currently PSG is trying to bring in several newcomers that they are targeting in this summer's transfer window, none other than so that PSG can remain a competitive team. at least, PSG will maintain its dominance in the French League. I am sure Enrique will do his job to the maximum, he will devote his energy so that his team can compete at the Champions League level. even though it is constrained, efforts must still be made as a giant Lique 1 team.

PSG should immediately complete all their transfer plans before Ligue 1 starts, because it can give Luis Enrique the freedom to prepare the team to build closeness with all the players. If in the end PSG fails to find a replacement for Mbappe, I think it will not threaten their dominance in Ligue 1, but the decline will be seen in the Champions League. However, the squad that PSG currently has is actually quite good, so far their performance may not be optimal because they are too dependent on Mbappe. Next season without Mbappe PSG can start with a different strategy, play more collectively and who knows it can bring better luck. It is not an easy job to win the Champions League trophy, because currently Real Madrid and Manchester City have better strength among all the contestants. The transfer window will close in 20 days, Osimhen is still being hotly discussed as a strong candidate to replace Mbappe.

Even Enrique said they would fill the place of Mbappe in PSG with the teamwork of all players.

we agree and as I often discuss in several posts, Mbappe has left.
