It seems like Lille continue to do a good job. After stealing a point from Marseille in that really tough game, they are 3-0 ahead against Lorient also. There is not much time left for the end and they are close to getting a comfortable win. By this win, they are likely to rise to the eight place in the standings by getting past Montpellier. Because Montpellier are playing with ten players against Troyes now and they are 1-0 behind in their home game. Lille really give hope to me as they are continuing to climb. I would like to see the last champion finishing the season at a decent place.

It's interesting that Lille won with three goals but forwards didn't score. It's a nine game unbeaten streak but they got a lot of draw in this series. Their current position is not bad but considering they are title holder that's kinda disappointing. Seeing PSG's form made other teams less hungry for title though, that's a fact. They know it's impossible to chase PSG this season. These teams should aim at second place to go to Champions League directly. Nice and Marseille fight for that place well.

Mbappe's transfer is still inconclusive as PSG management still wants him to finish up the season with them. But Maldrid has offered €200m to facilitate his release but PSG is rather still proving a bit though. Mbappe is willing to leave but PSG is still trying hard to convince him to stay maybe the have dreams of having him lift the championships league this season for PSG
One thing is sure Later or now Mbappé is going to leave PSG for Real Madrid dream spot it's all matter of time because he was already dreaming about this and with offer like €200m is awesome for player like his quality, but he is doing right now and going to finish this season because right now it's very important for him to complete this all here and then go for his next destination success of failure in this new club is nothing matter but still he has time and quality for shining for some long time.

PSG still have some good number of quality players and after exit of Mbappé they can do much better things for their better future as we all know for next season we are going to have some good number of changes in this team as coach and many players entry and exit going to happen.

One way or another, they made this decision. Perez confirmed that Real offered 200 million euros for Mbappe, but was refused Link
An amazing decision by the management of PSG, it's like allin where their goal is to win the Champions League and that they are willing to pay such an insane price. But what happens if they fail again? It will be like a giant loss, 200 million euros is serious money even at the level of the top clubs.
It is the price in the last summer and honestly it is a very expensive price especially if we know that Mbappe will be free in 2022 summer. PSG took huge risk to determinant keep Mbappe in Paris. They bet that in the end they will successfully convince Mbappe to stay with them in Paris. If they fail, they will lose him for zero transfer fee.

They accept very big risk, $200M or $100 is very high price for a player who has only one year of contract. I see that PSG were very confident about their finance and ability to convince Mbappe. In addition, they really need him in Paris. If not, they did not take that risk.

I also think that the management of PSG did a good job. Because if we consider that Mbappe will be leaving anyways, maybe now or a year after, PSG did the right thing.

Yes they accept Big risk, Because if they didn't renew with him, they would have lost him for free. This is how Real Madrid got Alaba.
But now that he's extended, now PSG will get some money for the transfer, even if it's as low as $50M. But we all know that Real Madrid has to pay at least $200M for him as he's a really exciting prospect for the future.

Kylian Mbappe is having another awesome season right now. He has played in 27 official games so far. And he scored 19 goals and made 17 assists in these games. His market value seems to be €160m. But as we all know, he is available for a free transfer as he hasn't extended his contract with PSG. The team are trying their best to convince him to stay here for at least one more year. But he doesn't seem to have such intention. He wants to go to Real Madrid and he will in this summer.
I doubt that they could actually convince him to stay, if he wanted to stay then he would have accepted an offer already. To be fair, when you are a player like Mbappe, team should just sign an empty check and send it to you, because at that level you decide how much you are getting paid. If I am not entirely wrong, at one point Messi got like 70 million right? Which is not all because he is the greatest player in the world but also his jersey was sold all over the world, whichever team he wanted to go, would have 200+ million jersey sale, no idea how much PSG got from it neither, maybe a lot.

So, it is a bit more about popularity and Mbappe has that too, so he could just tell them what he wants, and they will definitely pay him, hell 100 million doesn't sound like an impossible amount if you ask me. This shows that Mbappe is not staying, if he wanted to, he would just give them an amount.

I don't think the club should stop players from wanting to leave but yes, if PSG still have the money to be able to fulfill Mbappe's request then I don't think it will be a problem either. But if the player's desire is unanimous to leave, then I think the club can accept that and leave Mbappe to make the next choice. Anyway, PSG without Mbappe will still be the league title, that's something for sure because PSG themselves are the strongest team in Ligue 1 so I guess there should be no worries about that. Unless PSG are targeting the UCL title then obviously, keeping Mbappe is something to be done.
PSG couldn't stop Mbappe from enjoying a new atmosphere in another team when he wanted to. I don't think he will stay at PSG much longer after this season is over. The only thing Mbappe wants to achieve is the Champions League title so he will fulfill his wish in other teams interested in him like Real Madrid. He's got an ego, but that's good for his career as a top player at the moment.

PSG could fence it off with money, but that's not as long as it's good for a player who expects individual titles and other titles over the course of his playing career. He is quite happy to be a title-winning player for PSG so far, but the Champions League will be his priority despite having to part with the team that made his name next season.

If a player does not want to stay in the club, it is foolish to keep him in the team. Because, if a player is added to the squad against his will, he cannot perform spontaneously. This has an effect on the rest of the team. If a player wants to be out of the team, he should be sold and a new talented player should be found. PSG's management has enough money.

Real have already offered PSG 200 million (if I'm not mistaken) for Mbappe, but PSG refused. In fact, they turned down 200 million simply to have him play one more season - that seems to be an all-time record. I guess the PSG bosses think that Mbappe will be the key player this season to help PSG win the Champions League, otherwise I can't explain this financial decision.

It's not unusual for Madrid to buy Mbappe now because they have prepared a fund of 292 million pounds for the purchase of players, but PSG who don't want to let Mbappe go this season make Madrid may have to wait until next summer to get him in free, PSG are indeed a rich club but I don't think they will be ready to lose 200 million by rejecting madrid offer and prefer to keep mbappe until the end of his contract.
I think PSG decision to keep mbappe and risk losing him for free is a stupid financial strategy, to compete in the UCL maybe for now messi, neymar and di maria are enough for PSG in my opinion.

Seeing their performance in the Champions League group stage which was less than optimal, I have a little doubt that they will be able to show their best performance against Madrid later Grin, relying on all their star players, PSG actually only got 3 wins from 6 match phase group.
I don't know what on the mind of PSG management right now, but for sure I think the bet they made by keeping mbappe was a very bad decision, I think with that kind of money they can get other players who might be better than mbappe, or even them can recruit haalaand or even ronaldo using the money.
With a squad full of stars but PSG actually failed to win the champions league trophy?
I honestly can't imagine what they will feel or do next season Grin.

Lille are actually not too bad for quite many weeks in the standings now. They didn't lose their last eight league matches but won only three of them as far as I can see now. The only thing they need is to start a winning streak now. And their next match is today against Lorient home. Lille are in a better shape than Lorient obviously now and they should be winning this match without having too much problem. Lorient haven't been getting any win for a long time period. And Lille defeated them in their last home match by 4-0. Maybe they wouldn't have that big gap now but they can still win.

It is very doubtful that Lille will be able to make a good series of victories. They have not lost 8 matches already, but as you rightly noted, they have drawn 5 times, plus they have a zero balance of goals scored and conceded goals 27-27. This suggests that they play "like everyone else" and are not able to be above the "average" team. But in today's match, they are favorites due to the fact that the opponent is weak, and odds of them winning are 1.56.

I think PSG should be able to ultimatum Mbappe now to take a firm stance, because if Mbappe really doesn't want to extend his contract, it's better for PSG to sell him in the current transfer market, than in June Mbappe will be a free transfer and of course PSG won't will get a money from the departure of Mbappe, even without Mbappe, I think PSG front line will still be dangerous because they still have Dimaria, Neymar, Icardi and Messi, so maybe losing Mbappe will not affect PSG front line too much ,  I think by selling Mbappe PSG still has the opportunity to use the money to look for other players who can replace Mbappe's position later.

Clermont will be playing against Strasbourg at their home stadium today but the offense of Clermont are not strong and I think they might struggle to score goals against Strasbourg. I guess Clermont might try to adopt a defensive strategy in order to force a draw against Strasbourg and this might be a boring match that ends up with a goalless draw at the final whistle.
Clermount is now ranked 16th in the standings, has played 20 matches, Clermount has 18 points, while Strasbourg has also made 20 matches, Strasbourg has collected 32 points, and is ranked 7th in the standings, in my personal opinion the match tonight is also a bit boring, strasbourg will definitely play an attacking game, because they want points to be able to shift the position of monaco which is ranked 5th in the standings, while in the clermout camp they will definitely play defensively, only being able to get one point, so they can avoid the zone relegation, my prediction tonight Strasbourg managed to bring home 3 points, and managed to break into the clermout goal, with a thin score of 0-1..

We'll see if winning the Champions League trophy this season can change Mbappe's mind or not. But I think Mbappe is not interested in playing
for PSG any longer, because several times the PSG management gave Mbappe a contract offer which was always rejected. This means that Mbappe is
no longer interested in negotiating a contract extension with PSG. I agree that what is in Mbappe's mind is maybe he only wants to play for
Real Madrid, so PSG do have to let Mbappe leave at the end of this season. Because in my opinion there is no point in forcing a player whose heart is
not at PSG anymore, because there are still many other good players who want to play for PSG. Instead of focusing on extending Mbappe's
contract which is likely to fail, better focus on finding a replacement for Mbappe for next season. Maybe Haaland or Lewandowski could be good
options to replace Mbappe at PSG.

As Kylian Mbappe will leave the team to join Real Madrid this summer most probably, PSG will need to look for a top striker to be able to fill his place. At this point, the rightest candidates would really be Lewandowski and Haaland. We know already how PSG are eager to sign Haaland too. They are in the race with top teams like Real Madrid for him. In case they fail, they can go for Lewandowski. He was speculated to leave last summer but he chose to stay for at least one more year. PSG might sign him this time.

It is a pretty obvious fact that Paris Saint-Germain wants to win the Champions League this season, however, it was obvious in previous seasons.
PSG and Manchester City want it in the last decade and they both came closely to the title in last few seasons. They have first Champions League final but failed in their finals.

Quote
Given the amazing statistics of Mbappe's game for the club and his system-forming role in the team, I would like to say that it will be much more difficult to do without his participation, given the periodic absence of Neymar and also the absence and some problems in adapting to Messi. Therefore, the management of Paris Saint-Germain is facing a difficult dilemma when Mbappe's playing until the end of the season in the team and the potential departure after the end of the season or the sale of the player now and the weakening of the chances of winning the Champions League are on the same scale.
Mbappe in this season has more importance in PSG when Messi and Neymar were given a longer vacation because of Coppa America. Then they returned to the club too early than team mates and needed more time for training. Then in mean time, Mbappe and other players carried the club and more impressively, they won many matches in early of season. That is foundation for their successful big gap against opponents now.

Mbappe might only stay in PSG if they win Champions League and if Zidane becomes a new coach here. If they fail to win Champions League, I believe that PSG won't have chance to convince Mbappe.
