PSG is playing against Lyon today. Lyon is not the weakest team. It is not possible to win against Lyon without good performance. Although PSG have won 5 of Ligue 1 matches so far. However, their performance against Brugge in the Champions League match was not good. So today coach Pochettino has applied a new formation. It will take some time for the players to adjust to the new formation. But in order to strengthen the team, now the coach has to do some experiments with the team.

PSG vs Lyon has started, Donnarumma is now playing in the local league because I wonder how he performed his first time for PSG?

I'm still here wondering why Sergio Ramos is still not in the squad in the league or in the UCL? Is this not ready yet or is there something else.
Maybe I missed a bit of info about this, because I want to know how the great player who came to PSG is playing in his team now.

yes, almost everyone is also very surprised by what PSG has done until now, Ramos has not seriously played in their starting line-up, especially since Ramos is a player who is full of experience in various competitions. We still don't understand if Sergio Ramos is still injured or if his work permit has not been issued.so that until now this player has not been included in Mario Pochettino's starting line-up.

This is not his first performance for PSG. He started last week against Clermont and that match ended up with a clean sheet for him. Considering that PSG's squad is better compared to most of the Ligue 1 team, Im pretty sure that he could rack up alot clean sheet. Pretty sure that he will get a regular spot in Ligue 1 and Navas will start for UCL matches

I'm still here wondering why Sergio Ramos is still not in the squad in the league or in the UCL? Is this not ready yet or is there something else.

Sergio Ramos is listed as being injured according to flashscore.com

PSG vs Lyon game is on and today's lineups are as follows:

PSG Starting XI: Donnarumma, Kehrer, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Nuno Mendes, Ander Herrera, Gueye, Di Maria, Neymar, Messi; Mbappe.

Lyon Starting XI: Lopes; Gusto, Boateng, Denayer, Emerson; Caqueret, Bruno Guimaraes; Shaqiri, Paqueta, Toko Ekambi; Slimani.

Looking at the PSG team most of the pressure will be on Messi who many consider to be a G.O.A.T but if results are not produced I fear this title will go to CR7 who has been performing well at Manchester United.

My prediction: PSG 1-0 Lyon

We saw a great game between Nice and Monaco today. It was another opportunity for Monaco to get a win and pull themselves together. They were the side which got ahead first but the game still ended 2-2. Nice would have even won this as they missed a penalty too.
The expectation was for Nice to continue their winning streak having won three of their opening four games this season. Although it wasn't a bad outing they should have trashed Monaco who's still struggling to get back to form.

To develop a little Lille failure that we mentioned previously, here we are with another defeat and this time vs Lens.
6 games: 3 defeats 2 draw 1 win, such an awesome start for the title holder (for not long time)!
Something is wrong with the Ligue 1 Champion last season. Their performance last season was amazing. They are able to secure the title with 83 points, and also lost only 3 matches. While their performance this season have been poor, out of the 6 matches they have played so far, they only won 1. They had a draw against Wolfsburg in their first Champion League match. If they continue like this, they may face relegation at the end of the season. As they are currently at the 16th position on the standings.
Losing some players, getting others, instability within the team, that stressful situation...could explain a little what's happening but they need to figure a solution. I doubt Lille will get relegated or threatened to be but finishing this season with an european spot wouldn't be guaranteed with such performance Undecided
Meanwhile, more teams on the top dropping points and except OM, the distance is getting bigger and might be even bigger if PSG win vs Lyon.

Lille lost, Monaco lost points in a draw, and Lyon will lose a little later (I think few people doubt PSG's victory). Given the fact that the middle peasants who, thanks to successful results, are quite close to PSG, will begin to lose matches, already after 5 rounds, PSG's gap from everyone will be monstrous. Probably this will give PSG an opportunity to prepare more calmly for the playoffs in the Champions League (of course, if it gets there Cheesy ).

The teams that were in the top 4 of the points table last season were Lille, PSG, Monaco and Lyon respectively. Now this season, PSG is at the top of the points table with wins in all matches. 16th place in the points table in Lille's position. Monaco, who finished third last season, is now 15th in the points table. And Lyon, who was in fourth place, is now ninth. As long as these teams are able to perform stable and increase their strength, the position of the "Ligue 1" league will not improve.

Lille considered this match very important but lost again. I think there is a saturation in the team after last year's championship. We don't follow a team that is hungry for success. They were able to collect only 5 points in 6 games. I don't think they have any claims this season after this loss.

Bordeaux got their first away win. Saint-Etienne had a bad start to the league like them and Bordeaux was the winner of this match.
The main matches will be played on Sunday. There are very good matches like Paris Saint-Germain vs. Lyon. If there is a team that will force Paris Saint-Germain in the league, it is Lyon.

Take a look at my merits, It's lucky number
Lille are going to play a pretty tough match against Lens this evening. After ending the last season as the champions, Lille were expected to have a decent start at least. But they had a terrible start honestly. They won only one time in their five league matches so far. Lens didn't lose any match and won two times. They defeated Monaco 2-0 away too. However, Lille have a big dominance against them considering their last matches in the Ligue 1. Lille defeated them 3-0 and 4-0. I wonder if they will manage to get a win again here. I think that Lens won't let them this time.

The match will start soon and the line-up information has been released, as you can see below that Lille will be playing with some of their best players. Like Burak Yilmaz, Jonathan David and Jose Fonte.

I don't think Lille will lose against Lens even though they lost Renato Sanches to a meniscal injury.

As long as PSG can keep playing with the current roster, I do not see any team managing to beat them at all. Surely they will have some misfires here and there but I can see them break 90+ points this season, and even if not they will still be champions with 10+ point difference easily. Lyon is not a match for PSG at all, no team would be if you look at the rosters. However, the biggest problem PSG has is not against other teams, it is against themselves. If this Mbappe-Messi thing ends up growing bigger and bigger than it will eventually be a locker room problem.
PSG is as same as Bayern in Bundesliga because they are able to win most of matches in Ligue 1 and opponents can beat them in a long competition. PSG can lose in some matches but they don't lose Ligue 1. In the past season, they lost it after many seasons because they concentrated on Champions League.

I don't think they will lose Ligue 1 again in this season.

Messi is looking like he may retire here, whereas Mbappe looks to leave next offseason, however Mbappe has been here for a while whereas Messi is brand new.
Messi can retire in PSG or return to Barcelona and retire there. Will Barcelona open their gate to welcome Messi after 3 seasons? With what they did for Ronaldinho, Villa, Xavi, Iniesta, I believe that Messi will not get the welcome from Barcelona. Will Messi still want to come back ?

But that might exactly be the problem sometimes. If you lose your rhythm or you don't push you to the absolute maximum every single game, you may not be able to switch gears fully in the big games either.

When you look back at Bayern Munich winning the triple, they just destroyed every single team for almost a full year straight. Whether in Bundesliga, in the national cup or in the CL. It is this inner will to just win everything and not lose a single point. If you switch back and forth between playing 50% strong and then again 100% strong, I am not so sure that is really realistic.

One of the biggest games of the week is PSG - Lyon which is going to be played on this Sunday.

It seems like Sergio Ramos has recovered from his injury finally. But I'm not sure whether we could see him in this game. And I'm expecting to see the deadly trio playing in this game again after the Club Brugge game. They weren't very effective in that game but this time maybe things would be a little different. They are going to have a much more serious opponent. PSG won all of their league games so far. Lyon have two wins and they have a 2-win streak also. PSG lost their last home game against Lyon 0-1. But PSG were more sensitive then. Now, we see a much more stronger PSG in this season. There, I expect PSG to win by one goal in the worst case.

Will something even happen? We do not know but if PSG ever gets worse, that will be because of in fighting.

-snip- even though currently Monaco performance is in a bad condition in the league, but I I believe that Monaco will be able to beat Nice again even if it is only with a narrow score, especially now that Monaco is in high confidence after defeating Sturm Graz in the European League.
If Nice lose, it will be their worst result so far in Ligue 1. If I wanted to bet on that match, I probably wouldn't have picked Monaco to win if the consideration was their poor performance so far in the league. Choosing Monaco would be very risky, so I wouldn't do it if I wanted to bet. Nice are a pretty strong team so far in the last 4 match. They haven't conceded a single goal in the league, so if you're pretty sure Monaco will win just because they won the game in the Europa League then I think you should take the bigger bet and be prepared to lose.

I would certainly bet on Nice in this game. Just look at how stable their defense so far have been and how weak the offense was for Monaco. Transfers also weren't successful so far so Kovac isn't left with too many options to change anything significantly.
