In a statement, PSG confirmed Lionel Messi will not play against Montpellier on Saturday due to an injury. Messi ruled out playing another match in 4 weeks for PSG. He should have taken time off to treat the injury, and PSG is doing the right thing by being extra careful and not rushing to things. All good things come to those who wait. Therefore Messi should wait more for the celebration of his first goal at PSG.

The real big ordeal for PSG will be facing Manchester City in the near future, PSG so far have not shown their best performance even though they continue to get wins in Ligue 1 but it looks like it's just luck. Because even in the first UCL match yesterday, the fact that PSG only got a 1-1 draw against Club Brugge even though PSG played all their best players. I agree about the possibility that this problem lies with Pochettino who still can't build a better team, because when all the star players are in the squad at least it can be easy for Pochettino to develop some strategies in the game but the fact is PSG still need time to become the strongest team in Europe.
PSG and Manchester City have same level but Manchester City have more opponents in their national league (Premier League) than PSG have in Ligue 1. It can help players of Manchester City improve themselves better than PSG players, in real matches, with stronger opponents.

It can be troubles of PSG when they have to change from weak opponents in Ligue 1 to strong opponents in Champions League. The improvement of PSG in past 2 seasons in Champions League means that are improving and moving closer to win Champions League.

One draw in group stage is not too important and does not reduce the competitive power of PSG.

It was great to see the last champions Lille winning another match in the league this season. They beat Reims by 2-1 but I must say also that it was a quite balanced match. Burak Yilmaz didn't score but made 2 assists. And I think that he was the player of the match. I hope to see Lille getting better in the coming weeks also. This is not the form we want to see from them in the end.
After watching PSG's match against Metz yesterday, I was wondering how weak their forward lineup is, depending on a defender's two goals to win against their weaker Metz! Even then PSG scored their second goal in 90 + 5 minutes. Their luck is very good, otherwise they would not have won this match. Despite having so many good players on the team, I am not enjoying their gameplay at all. Now, I think they are an average quality team. They should be stronger.
90+5 Another Hard Day with a luck!
PSG keeps 100% Ligue 1 record through Achraf Hakimi's heroics, but yet another hard day for them. Although they have quality strikers, they constantly showcase their weaknesses on attacking. An experienced coach is needed for PSG. Pochetino cannot manage the team effectively. Playing like this against Mertz, what would happen if they met a stronger team? In the same manner as the previous season, the team continues to struggle this season, as they lack chemistry and their midfield players are not strong.

PSG has such a strong striker of quality, they should continue to attack the opponent for a full 90 minutes. At least 25+ shots and 10+ on target shots should be completed in each of their Ligue 1 matches. Because every part of their team is strong now. But they can't do anything. I am completely disappointed with the gameplay of the strikers in particular. Mbappe performed well in the first few matches but now he is not performing well. Neymar and Messi do not seem to be in form.

Well I know that they have not given the best of the games, sometimes when there is bad luck it can be reflected even in the best players, and if the team is not at 100% then you can lose even with the least thought team. Although in PSG there is a lot of quality in football, for now Messi also has a knee injury, and for this reason it was that they took him out of the game, and yes, Mbappé did not show much, and Neymar now has the shadow of the bad , in the QATAR qualifiers, he himself said that he had a good record, that he does not understand the teasing, I think that a lot of player problems can sometimes be reflected on the playing field.

PSG ends up getting too close to losing points, then they end up getting 3 points at the last minute. This has happened twice now, last week it was the same with a very late goal to get the three points as well. However none of that matters and now they have 21 points in 7 games. Closest to them is Marseille with 14 points. That is 7 point difference in just 7 games, that is a huge margin at such an early stage of the season.
At this point the question is not even "will PSG win this year", it is "by how much", and that is a huge deal, if your team is (not mathematically) nearly guaranteed the championship only after 7 games, then you are a great team. The only possible way for PSG to ever get worse would be them starting to play so horrible for the rest of the season, or have few freak injuries to players that close out the season or something like that, otherwise they are 100% guaranteed to win at this point forward.
PSG got lucky once again by scored in the last minute. What a match by Hakimi scoring twice in this match, really good transfer for PSG.I think its just a matter of time before PSG drops some points and it might be in the next away game in the league. They already dropped in the champions league.
On the one hand, there is such a thing as a champion's fart and usually they say this about a team that gets victories on the flag and it is constantly lucky. On the other hand, is it worth saying such things about a team like Paris Saint-Germain, which has such a strong squad and which, in principle, should not bring things to such a situation. Mrs. Fortune is a changeable lady and you should not count on her services constantly for all sorts of trifles, but you need to try to achieve everything on your own. Otherwise, it will be possible to face a situation that when luck is desperately needed at the most crucial moment, and the entire limit has already been exhausted before on all sorts of insignificant trifles.

Even when the times that PSG have difficulty in winning matches in this league, they still somehow become victorious. Because they don't have many serious opponents in this season. Maybe Marseille can do something against them. But the rest of the big teams of the league like Lille, Monaco and Lyon have been experiencing a problematic season so far.

Their performance was great. Winning in the first half with goals, although, they couldn't score in the second half. This is probably their second winning in 7 Ligue 1 matches. Their is need for them to ameliorate their performance. I hope to see them play much better in their next match. However,  Yilmaz played awesomely in the match.

Metz - PSG game is going on with a 1-1 score. We are in the second half and I see that PSG are the dominant side. They found the first goal of the game very early with Hakimi. But Metz were still able to respond in the last minutes of the first half. I actually don't have any doubt that PSG will beat their opponent here. By the way, Messi is missing because of a knee injury. Now, we see Neymar - Icardi - Mbappe trio in the field. I think that PSG will score 2 more goals and be victorious.

Hakimi saved the victory for PSG scoring at 95th minute after great assist from Neymar. but overall impression from PSG performance in this match is not good. seems like they underestimated Metz.
You are right, it seems PSG underestimated Metz. They thought it was going to be an easy winning for them. Despite, dominating the game, they found it difficult to score more goals. And also Hakimi scored few minutes after Metz got a red card. The match almost ended in draw. Anyway, PSG got 3 points and are still leading on the standings.

yeah, somehow I have put PSG on all tickets, it was a small odds, but seemed really secure to win, and after early goal, I crossed that as done
but Metz was back, and PSG scored winner six minutes into overtime, had several tickets depending on that goal, but it was a happy-end after all

from now on, I will skip PSG until their first draw/lose in the league games

Lille, Monaco and Lyon all won their games this week. These were one of the best teams in the last season. But all of them are struggling this season. And this could make things even easier for PSG to reach the title. PSG are not having their best performance so far but they are still able to beat their competitors every week. They have a 7-win streak now which is really huge. But there are not many clubs that can fight back against them in the league also.

They are not only dominant side they have nearly 74% ball possession and still unable to do any goal is huge issue for this 6 goal attempts with just one on target in presence of Mbappé, Icardi and Neymar is talking something with this team and management because they spent most in transfer window, and they have ambition to win some good number of trophies, but result like this is not going to help them even they are winning this match by 1- 2 in injury time.

In other matches Lyon is leading, but Marseille is also playing away from home with score of 0 - 0 against Anger which is good for both teams and also acceptable for PSG as gap is still good for holding top position in Ligue 1.

I believe there is something wrong with PSG. Indeed, PSG won against Metz but can't we miss the drama that happened, even the final goal which was also the winning goal came after Metz lost 1 player due to receiving a red card and it happened in the last minute of the match. It's funny, when the top team against the bottom team compete but the top team can't win perfectly. So in this case Messi is present or not, PSG is still in trouble and this proves that building a team is not enough just with a lot of money and I believe PSG will be destroyed in the UCL event later if the problem is not resolved immediately.

Yes, PSG, although showing a good pace of scoring in the championship, is not showing confident play. The upcoming match against City in the Champions League will be very interesting - PSG lost points in the game against Club Brugge and needs to win, but the opponent is very strong. Maybe that's why Messi rested yesterday, maybe they are trying to prepare him for playing in the Champions League?
PSG looks not easy although have many star player from Neymar, Mbappe and Messi but faced with Metz last night they lucky with Hakimi make brave exactly last goal on last minutes before match ended. I think PSG must show more attractive with many goal for every match, how come with best forward but not created goal so far and Hakimi as defender can made brave last night.

Yes your right the problem with psg is that there is a lot of stars and every one of them is trying to shine and most of their goals are scored by defenders and midfielders and its tougher for them in champions league where there is a lot of strong teams and having a weak performance is not an option.

Rennes fixed their average in one match, it was unbelievable score for them. Montpellier game was also a goal fest but there is no winner. Both teams led the game but couldn't hold on to it. I don't know what's wrong for Paris Saint-Germain but even though it's very hard they still won games. You expect Messi, Neymar and Mbappe to shine but one day it is Hakimi, the other day Icardi. Smiley
Marseille lost important two points but considering Angers started this season very well, I think it's acceptable loss. Monaco, Lille and Lyon won at home as favorites. It was a decent Wednesday action on Ligue 1.
