Lyon are going to play an away game against Rennes tomorrow night. I think there is a delightful match awaiting us. Rennes are the 4th with 32 points and Lyon are the leader with 39 points. Ekambi (9 goals in 15 league matches) will not be able to play at Lyon because of his injury. Both teams have had a very good performance recently. Especially Lyon haven't lost a game in the league for 4 months which is awesome. On the last 5 head-to-head matches, surprisingly Rennes overwhelmed Lyon (4W 1L). It is interesting that Rennes got all of these wins on away matches. I wonder whether this psychological advantage will help Rennes get a good result here. I think Rennes won't lose here and we could see a draw.

Lyon have not lost a meeting at Rennes. Plus Lyon have not lost any of their last 5 away games. And even beat PSG. The game will be very interesting. Both teams gained a pretty strong move. But I'm more inclined to win Lyon. Although a draw will be a natural result.

I think that based on the odds I see in Flashscore I can safely say that the safest bet to make is a double chance on Lyon win or draw. This is a game between leaders of the table and Lyon is playing away which means the draw can happen. This is also a big opportunity for Psg and Lille to close the gap further if Lyon happens to make a mistake in today game.

Thank you for all these interesting datas and informations but what do you mean by "this psychological advantage will help Rennes" exactly?  Huh
Who will have a psychological advantage according to you? Lyon or Rennes?

There is a high competition at the top places now for sure. Lille lost to Angers 2-1 unexpectedly. PSG surprised me too by drawing with St. Etienne. The match seemed so balanced according to the statistics. Lyon were the profitable team this week. They defeated Lens 3-2. Lyon are the leader and they have 39 points. PSG and Lille follow them with 36 points.

Lille got a shocking 2-1 loss against Angers home last night. I wasn't surprised by the match being tough but I wasn't expecting Lille would lose here. Angers made a storming start to the match and scored 2 goals in the first 10 ten minutes. Lille managed to respond with B. Yimaz's goal in the 42nd minute. In the second half, Lille tried to turn the game around but Angers succeeded in securing the 2-1 win.
It was an unpredictable match and I would have better avoided betting on the league if I didn't want to take risks and besides, PSG and their new coach did not get 3 points even though the opponent against him was Etienne. It should have been a good starting moment but yes, history is not a benchmark and what's more there will always be changes in whatever is in the team.
Select French League 1, select PSG 38 matches, select win, put the betting amount, press ok Tongue
Well PSG draw against St-Etienne was unexpected but with the turbulence made with switching the coach, a bad result can occur. I find personally that having some competition in top ranks is something good to see sometimes Smiley

Honestly it was shocking not because it was unexpected by default, it was unexpected to get this result. Lille has the same points as PSG and they lost against Angers last night, with one draw they would be ahead of PSG right now. This shows that Lille is a lot better this year, with the addition of some players they became very well this year. So, everyone expected them to beat the lower level teams and only have hard time with the high level teams.

However this is football, if you ever gambled, you would know that any team could lose to any team, I once remember (waaaay years ago) Barcelona being the best team I have ever seen, and they won against Real Madrid something like 5-0 or something, and then lost to like Sociedad or something 3-0 a bit later, I don't remember the team honestly but they were so good and beat Madrid so well yet ended up losing to a relegation level team. Hence anything could happen and we shouldn't be too shocked.

That was a dream buster for Lile after a long winning streak, a 3 points lost against a weaker team. They could have surpassed PSG and equalized with Lyon if they were able to convert it. PSG and Lyon too had a tough game today. Lyon had a difficult win in it's home while PSG played a draw against much lower positioning team.

Mauricio Pochettino is officially the new PSG coach, replacing the sacked Tuchel. He signed a contract until June 2022 (so short enough for a technician of his level).
Surely Pochettino has more experience in the Champions League, because PSG is aiming for this, given that in the last 9 years, they have won the French Ligue 1 eight times.
I hope Pochettino will be able to create a strong team playing aggressive football. He needs a little time to convey his ideas to the players. I really like the football that his teams played. But the result of his work will be in full shape next season. If he is left to work ...

Lorient-Monaco match is really exciting now. The first half ended 1-1 and Lorient played really good. But in the second half, they got a red card and Monaco got 2-1 ahead by the goal of Golovin. But Lorient responded three minutes later and brought the score to 2-2. Monaco reacted right after this goal and got ahead 3-2. Lorient are trying their best but I think Monaco will definitely win this and start gathering themselves up.

Monaco got a huge 5-2 win and they really needed this. Because Monaco stumbled too much on the last weeks. They were away from their old performance. They really demolished Lorient here and I believe this will help them continue playing better on next matches.

Lyon vs Lens this clash going to be really interesting comparison between both team I think Lyon would like to keep it on the winning track and with impressive form it's worth to pick them directly for betting. From my point of this will be though one for both teams but Lyon is looking more strong side.
Yes i agree with you i do not think lens will pose a problem for lyon and they will be going all out in this match because lille also they have a home match against angers and psg also have an away match against st etienne and they have lot of key players missing this game so they can lose points and that's what lyon team are waiting for.

Bordeaux are going to play an away game against Metz next week. Metz are the 10th with 23 points and Bordeaux are the 13th with 22 points. Both teams haven't got a very good form lately. Metz won 4 out of 8 home games and lost 3 of them. Bordeaux won 3 out of 8 away games and lost 4 of them. It is really hard to make a guess. In my opinion, this match could end in a draw.

Yes they are in a top form not losing points and they are leaders and they even won against psg and got a point from lille stadium so i think this might be their year they have a shot at the title, the good thing about them is that their forwards are all scoring so they won their matches by the team effort but they must be worry of lille and psg.
Why do you think LOSC could beat OL ? You really think Lille is better than Lyon this year?  Huh
No i meant that they are in a good shape and they can compete against them for the title considering the performance of lille this season both in the ligue 1 and  europa league they are dangerous and can pause a threat for lyon.
Yes they can pause a threat as you say, but only a very little one IMO.

One thing about football is that it has nothing to do with being a better team or having a better squad; this is why football coaches take football matches one at a time. Lille vs Lyon is a one legged tie which Lille can confidently win at their home ground if the coach get the tactics right; There is obviously nothing spectacular about Lyon; a league match has nothing to do with the position of teams on the log.
You're not totally wrong, but we weren't talking about that, we were talking about the title.

Lille are going to play a home game against Angers next week. Lille haven't lost for seven matches. They lost an away game against Brest before this streak. The Turkish players at the team are doing very good things too. There is a very big challenge in top places now. Lyon are the leader and share the same points (36) with Lille. PSG follow them with 35 points. Lille are the best team on home games in the league. They got 6 wins and 3 draws in 9 home games. They scored 17 goals and conceded 4 goals on these matches. Angers are a quite good team too. They are one of the best teams that are good on away games. They didn't lose their last 5 away games. I assume they will play very confidently here too. We could see a challenging match but I think Lille will be the winner in the end.

Paris Saint-Germain shredded Strasbourg without too many problems the other night. I am absolutely certain that against Saint-étienne they will bring home a similar, if not better, result. I just hope I don't jinx it. I'll try to say 4-1 for them.

@rodrigobitcoin I wasn’t surprised by their victory, because I was expecting an instant reaction after the sacking of their head coach. Also all the player’s are currently trying to audition to the new coach who’s presumed to be Pochettino, and I can’t wait till he takes over as he’ll transform this PSG side to a whole new level.
