Enrique's PSG has in it players that are good at their field of play and the team entirely has got better chances at trophies. Even though their performances totally have not been fully extra impressive, at least they're able to show their level and worth on the pitch.

 They like other good teams in other leagues have advanced to the last 16 stage of the UCL contest and very much likely that they'd put up a fierce contest. They've got the higher probability of advancing even though to some extent, their opponent for this round is also an improved side. The advancement phases are not meant to be an easy bypass and so it's out them in a point where they've got to strive hard to come out victorious too and if possible lift the trophy this season. Enrique is definitely eager to do this job for the French side.

I am wonderign why some here believe that Nice was a strong contender only because they had some good results for a while, but how likely was it that they would keep winning their games 1-0 for a whole season? I was pretty sure that they would get into some trouble rather sooner than later. This minimalistic style barely wins anyone the title. It is way more often that games start to not end well some time during the season, and now the time has come for them to lose some games, too.

Nice manager must be really satisfied with his choice of substitution in the last 20 minutes of the Lens match.    Because Moffi was subbed in and scored 2 goals a very short time after he entered. Nice is a contender for the Ligue One title but that doesn't portrayed any threat, they're just enlisted as any othe random mediocre club in Ligue One this season. It's almost the end of the year and there's strong probability of these clubs keeping to stellar performance. There's no club that can stand in the same ring to challenge Paris Saint Germain for the league title this season. It's really tough for these clubs to stand out to face energy with PSG who's on fire this season. Luis Enrique always makes sure he's team doesn't hold back when they face average clubs and they always make good use of their chance.

Lille is doing "fine", not like they won 10 in a row, they are not really at the top or near the top, they are just doing fine. I do agree that losing that game was a bad one, but that doesn't mean that we are talking about something that should be important or changing much, we should be considering the situation to be a bit different. I think it is clear that we are talking about something that should be very important if given enough chance, and because of that I believe that it is not going to be all that easy.

I believe that the best thing to do in this case would be just recovery and focus on not losing more games. I do feel like this bet that I lost with Lille is good, because they will do better, meaning I have chance to recover thanks to this loss.

Passing week 17, Paris Saint Germain can be at the top of the standings comfortably, being 5 points above Nice, the club closest to them. with a 5-point advantage in Ligue 1 it will be very difficult to catch up, especially those who have that advantage are Paris Saint Germain who are the strongest club in Ligue 1.
I think they will be able to continue to be comfortable there. Their focus is on the Champions League, because in the last few seasons the Champions League has been their main goal. But in Ligue 1 itself for them it is easy, because there is no club that can really rival them at this time.  Nice, who were good at the start of the season, have in fact declined and are now below them.

During this match, Metz got nearly no chance and they had no control in the game especially in the second half when Mbappe scored two goals for PSG.
I think in the second half Enrique understood how they have to score goals and that's why PSG could win the game with a 3-1 result.
However, beating a team like Metz is not something very important for PSG.

Everything was going right for Metz in the first half, they were defending well. PSG made many attempts to pass the ball to open the Metz defense, but they could not get any results. PSG was able to get more results in the second half. Mbappe's two extra goals should be evaluated separately, and I think it was his birthday. yesterday's games were fun.

clermont played against rennes, this was a game involving two teams that are in a terrible decision, with clermont they are in the worst situation, they currently occupy the last position in the table and this game was a good opportunity for them to win and be able to have greater chances of getting out of the relegation zone, but they were very unlucky in this game. They started the game well, after 4 minutes Clermont scored 1 goal and it seemed that everything indicated that they could come out of this game with victory, but Clermont's defense was a complete disaster, they conceded goals that looked like amateurs were playing in defense. and then there was the red card thing, I didn't see any reason for the Clermont player to do that, he hurt the whole team. Then there was the penalty which, in my opinion, I also saw no reason for the Clermont player to do that. With this defeat, Clermond could be stampeding relegation

Toulouse played against Monaco, this game when I watched the highlights I was wondering how the Toulouse players didn't have calm and concentration they lost. They started by scoring a goal after 5 minutes, it looked like they could win or draw in this game, but 20 minutes later Monaco scored a goal and the game was tied, when it looked like the 1 half would end in a draw, the Toulouse player commits penalty and the Monaco player scored the second goal and the 1 half ended with Monaco's victory. Toulouse was supposed to avoid making mistakes, but it's unbelievable that the Toulouse player committed a foul on purpose and got a red card and with that, Toulouse no longer had any way to counter attacking Monaco. I think the Toulouse coach should draw attention to the player who had a red card

PSG played against Metz, in this game PSG was seen as the favorite. the game ended the 1 half without a goal, it seemed that despite Metz being heavily pressured they would be able to avoid a defeat in this game, but in the 2 half it was a nightmare for metz, with PSG scoring a goal after 49 minutes and then the mbapp scored 2 more goals and metz at least managed to score 1 goal. in this game it was once again obvious how mbappe is the best player to play nowadays but unfortunately the attention is always on messi and ronaldo even though they have already achieved everything and are at retirement age

Though there are football managers who takes up the managerial role of a certain club and immediately starts to get good results while there are others who needs some time to fully understand the best approach that'll suit his team and that's where Paris Saint Germaine manager Luis Enrique falls in to if you ask me. PSG as we all know is a star studded team but when Luis Enrique took the coaching job of the club, they didn't start the season on a good note as they dropped some points in the beginning of the season but after few games where played, they bounced back to winning ways again and are currently at the top of the league standings.

I don't think that there's any doubt to the fact that Kylian Mbappe is Paris Saint Germaine's most important player at the moment. He's lived up to expectations of the club management and fans since the start of the season abd us currently the leading scorer in the league with18 goals and 2 assists in 16 French Ligue 1 games. Hopefully, he's gonna help his team retain the league title and probably win the UEFA Champions League title this season which I think will be more difficult.

It's very true that a super star such as mbappe in the french team (PSG) is very much needed for their performance to be at the top of their games most of the times but then it seems that that's not enough just like have rightly observed, they will be needing more than that to succeed as a team both in their domestic league and in other leagues where they may find their self.

PSG although have good players in their team currently but then they players who are really good at team play as this will real reduce their dependence on a particular player such that his absence will not have to affect the team so badly they will suffer the absence of such player, mbappe happens to be a player that PSG have some level of dependence on him but getting some players by January who will be able to foster the team spirit will be of more help and make them win more games and be able to win the titles they are anticipating to win, a good team spirit play can help them achieve the UCL.

Even though, in the 84th minute, Lyon only played with 10 players because Dejan Lovren received a red card, but Lyon still managed to maintain the win. Indeed, I also know that with that little time it will still be difficult for Nantes to score a goal even though playing with 11 players . But ya, if we consider Lyon's poor performance this season, then Nantes should still have a good chance to equalize.

But yes, with Lyon's 3 consecutive wins in the last 3 matches, of course Lyon managed to get out of the relegation zone in the first half of this season. Today in French Soccer League Clermont Foot vs Rennes two teams entered the field to play. Rennes team won the match with a great performance in today's match. S. Nicholson of Clermont Foot team scored 1 goal in the first 4 minutes of the game. After that no more goals were scored.  Clermont Foot team players. Clermont Foot team player M. Caufriez got red cards in 45+1 minutes. But Rennes team won by 3 goals in this match. A.  Kalimuendo scored the first goal in the 52nd minute.D.  Doué scored the 2nd goal in the 88th minute.L.  Blas scored the 3rd goal at 90+7 minutes to seal the match win.

It's nice to finally see Lyon achieve their winning streak and this is their 3rd win in the last 5 matches. Even though I hope that Nantes can make it difficult for them in this match, it seems that Lyon won't let Nantes free at home and yes, the only goal scored by Lacazette in the 49th minute made Lyon secure victory at home in Week 17.

This result also means that Lyon is finally free from the relegation zone temporarily, but they are not completely safe considering that the difference from Toulouse is only two points, so if Lyon loses again in the next match, they will fall back into the relegation zone. Therefore Lyon must start next year with the winning trend they have built and Lyon's next opponent will be Le Havre who have just lost against Reims.

You don't need to worry about the Lyon team, because they will also continue to try to stay away from the relegation zone even though currently they are in 15th place, which is generally out of this bad zone. However, considering that it is not yet completely safe for Lyon to be able to survive again in the next season in the Ligue 1 competition, of course Lyon must be able to get a few more wins in order to put themselves in a much safer position than they are currently in.

Lyon are now out of the relegation zone with that victory. That makes their 3rd consecutive Victory. They won the match with Lacazatte's goal in the 49th minute.

Lyon is a team with history. A team with class. Such a team getting in the relegation zone is always very concerning, especially for their fans. They were in last place and now they are out of the relegation zone. But the danger is not over yet. They need to be consistent in matches and stop dropping points. Their upcoming match is against Havre and if they manage to win that match, then they might be able to jump 2 steps ahead in the ladder of Ligue 1.

PSG couldn't score in the first half maybe but they still destroyed Metz in the second half by 3-1. Mbappe had a really good day by scoring 2 goals.    Vitinha also was impressive by a goal and an assist in this game. Luis Enrique preferred Kolo Muani behind Mbappe in the formation this time. This affected Kolo Muani's performance negatively of course as he is a centre-forward.

But maybe this is an experimental thing and we could continue to watch Kolo Muani in the centre-forward position mostly during the season. Mbappe can play in multiple positions. Even he is preferred on the left wing he would still do his usual work as he isn't stick to his position according to his playing style.

In the first half, the match looked fierce. Lille created their first lead through an own goal by a Strasbourg player. Similarly, Strasbourg were able to equalize through an own goal by a Lille player. In the second half, the match started to move according to rhythm and there were no mistakes like the first half. However, Strasbourg was able to add a goal in 76 which was the deciding factor for their victory and in the end Strasbourg was able to maintain the full 3 points and Lille, even though they were superior, could not do much when they visited Strasbourg headquarters.

Meanwhile, the performance of the 3 top standings won today's match PSG vs Metz with a score of 3:1, Touluse vs Monaco with a score of 1:2 and Nice vs Lens with a score of 2:0. The three top teams were able to take advantage of the opportunity well, especially Monaco who played an away match. But there is no change in the current position in the top 3. PSG remains in 1st place, Nice is in 2nd place and Monaco is also still in 3rd place.
