That was unexpected from Lens to lose against the worst team in Ligue 1 after Clermont Foot..
Lens started the season horribly and now this defeat? The worst part is that they were leading by one goal for most part of the first half, in addition to not being able to score from some attacks.
They might not lose their position in the table this round but this will allow the other teams to get closer from them..
Unexpected result for Lens how possibility defeated by relegation zone teams Metz, get more difficult for Lens raise top fourth standings and repeat their achievement last season by qualifying to champion league. Leading one goals on the early minutes but Lens failed for defending the winning result and put their self will raise one spot for Europe League or champion league?
Metz has good capital for facing 5 matches left and try to defend in Ligue 1 competition next season, has too close points with Lorient, Nantes and Le Havre still has chance for Mets get out from relegation zone and get chance with relegation playoff round if fail moving up from relegation standings.
This loss is a big problem for Lens. Nobody expected them to suffer this defeat. Meanwhile, Metz became hopeful with this win. There is only a 2 point difference between them and the 14th ranked team in the league. The relegation zone can change at any time, there is a very different race to avoid relegation.
Lens losing that game to Metz is devastating. They've been on fire all season, but losing to a squad everyone thought was dead? That wrecks their campaign. The bottom teams, trying to stay in Ligue 1, are smelling blood. Metz may feel like they were saved. Lens gets a gut hit, no doubt

In football, and any sport, underdogs thrive in moments like this. The beauty, frustration, and wildness of it all. Lens has starved weaker teams previously. It's alarming for a high-aiming team. Every game matters in this season. In particular while fighting a desperate opponent. No complacency, no easy contest

I feel these nowadays some teams are really unpredictable and unstable because we saw even Lens losing the game against Metz and it was not predictable. In fact, Lens is not a weak team and they are currently in the 6th place in the table while they are even racing for the European League ticket and that's something they can reach easily if they don't lose the chance as they lost against Metz.
Recently Lens couldn't have a good performance and now after this loss maybe it's the time to say even the next game for them against Clermont Foot won't be easy for them.

Clubs that are in the relegation zone are sometimes able to provide unexpected surprises. They try to perform as well as possible against whoever their opponent is, regardless of whether the club is strong or not, but what is clear is that Metz will take advantage of the time that there are few matches left. This has often happened when we look at clubs that are at the bottom of the table are able to give a surprise by winning against top clubs like what Metz did against Lens. This was a very important victory for Metz even though initially Metz conceded a goal before Lens, but that didn't dampen the mentality of the Metz players, they didn't just gave up and put up fierce resistance to Lens.

Indeed, Lens really regrets this because they failed to beat a club that was in the relegation zone even though this was an opportunity for him to continue collecting as many points as possible to be able to take him to the Champions League like last season, but it seems like Lens is only able to fight to get a Europa League ticket. Apart from that, he also has to get past Nice and Lille, while the difference between Lens from 4th place is 6 points.
Lens lost to Metz who’re in the relegation side, yes this result wasn’t expected though I still knew Metz will be a mjaor threat. This is because the pressure which relegation teams use in playing is usually top notch and they are always known to be spoilers of the hopes of some clubs who want to at least win something.

The result was a big blow to Lens as this will now mean they might not be able to catch up in the UCL spot they were chasing. This is now more like a bad reward for their under performance this season. Now I think the board will know how much it’s imperative for them to invest on the team so as to be able to challenge better next season.

Lens in that match were looking like the better side as they were at first leading by a goal but they lost it totally and Metz were able to get the win in that match who showed great determination despite being seen as a team in the relegation zone. I think most teams should cue from this win of Metz and know how much determination helps when they take on key matches.

Lens now having lost UCL spot must try to be able to secure Europa League spot. Their remaining matches are quite tough and with the loss to Lens you can only imagine if they’ll be able to challenge for the UEL spot again.

The current difference in points shows how easy it is for PSG to win the Ligue 1 trophy every season, there are still 6 matches left and it is very likely that PSG will lock up the trophy sooner. Apart from that, the opportunity for PSG to wipe out all the remaining matches is quite open, even though recently Enrique fleet has often played draws.

On the other hand, one instant way to make Ligue 1 more competitive is the entry of rich investors such as PIF. Previously there were rumors that they planned to acquire a majority stake in Marseille. However, until now there is no certainty about this news, if it is realized then PSG will have a balanced competitor at the domestic level.
I think for now there is no other team that can prevent PSG from winning, because indeed they have left other teams with a large enough difference in points, with 6 games left and also a large point difference, of course it is difficult for rival teams to shift PSG's current position, besides that if we seeing PSG's remaining opponents at this time, of course it is unlikely that PSG will lose points.

It is not unusual so far if in Ligue 1 PSG is too easy to leave their rivals and even every season we see this happen, PGS's financial strength makes them able to dominate the league very easily and even we may have to wait a long time to see other teams win Ligue 1, for now we do need big investors to take over other clubs in Ligue 1,  So that way we will be able to see competitive competition happening later, but as you said, at the moment it seems very difficult for big investors to enter and acquire Ligue 1 clubs other than PSG, of course it is quite surprising indeed when investors who acquired PSG before so easily do so, but precisely when other teams to be acquired seem to get obstacles like Marseille you said.

Honestly, I can't wait for Mbappé to actually leave PSG. Because that is going to make them irrelevant. He and some other star players staying in the club was making them relevant. But when he leaves the club is going to lose the ounce of relevance that they had left. If any club that I know which does not deserve to win any other competition, probably it's PSG. Only thing good going on for them is probably the coach that they got. Maybe he will be able to fix the team a little. I am not going to get my hopes up though. Because any time I thought PSG was capable of doing something, they failed miserably. And not winning the Champions League title with such a star-filled team has made me doubt them more.
Having Mbappe in the team makes PSG have a scary attacking force, but without him, I think PSG will still be too strong for Ligue 1 because they can still afford to bring great talents. They will only struggle in Champions League where big teams competing in competitive league chould make PSG being just underdog.

Having enrique is also a big luck for them, because he knows how to utilize good talents and build a strong team. With Enrique in the club, PSG will still be a dominant force in Ligue 1 even if Mbappe choose to leave. As long as the resource is still there to back up the team to progress, it would be hard for any team to break the dominance of PSG. It just sounds unfair to have a team with too big resource competing in Ligue 1.

PSG wouldn't feel a big pressure in the league indeed. There is no reason for that while they are in a really comfortable condition. Even if the point gap gets lower still PSG wouldn't lose the title to anyone. They are just too powerful for the remaining teams. It is very rare that we see a team beating PSG for the title in a season.

This is why the Ligue 1 is very boring as well.  Sad  There is literally no competition for the league title most of the time. It is all because of one team being bought by rich people and the others' looking at them from a far point. I'm not even sure about whether this would change in this league in the future either.
Many would agree regarding the competition in Ligue 1, where PSG is too dominant for other contestants, and so far Enrique fleet has only lost once. It makes sense why many people feel bored watching Ligue 1, this gap is created because PSG has abundant financial strength to build a star studded squad.

But we will never know in the next season as Leverkusen finally managed to break Munich's dominance in the Bundesliga, that's why perhaps currently there is no team that is equivalent and can compete with PSG because they are the strongest team and also a rich club, they can buy great and quality players, but see that Leverkusen can break the dominance of Munich which is full of great players too, so I think maybe now we see it boring because PSG will be guaranteed to be champions in the end in Ligue 1.

But PSG has never succeeded in the UCL, that's the fact that the class of great players at PSG can only compete in the domestic league, even though there are no competitors who are truly on par with PSG, making everything boring, what you say is true, PSG is a strong team in the league. 1 so that no other team is able to overtake them at the top of the current standings and it is also certain that PSG will win the title in Ligue 1 again, hoping that next season there will be changes in Ligue 1 and there will be a team that can really compete with PSG, If Mbappe succeeds in moving to leave PSG, of course there will be an opportunity for other teams to compete with PSG.

Honestly PSG doesn't feel any pressure at all at Ligue one, the point difference is 10, so it is not like they would care. They could lose this game too and not care about it since it is not going to matter to them. I understand that it may feel like maybe a little different to some people, but that's just the way it is right now. I feel like the best way to go would be making sure that we are going to handle getting better one way or another, and we could probably see the situation change a lot more later on.

I hope that we could probably get a better result, but seems like it is not that easy. I get that it may not look amazing so far, but I believe that we are going to probably end up with a much better result eventually.
We should feel more better when we have the chances of earning profits from the system, I know it's going to be tough but with acquainted Solis strategies, we can actually become profitable in the system. Paris Saint-Germain are reluctant towards Ligue One games because there's no presence of tough competitive run for the title, PSG continue to smash other opponents without any harden obstacles. Luis Enrique and the rest of the squad knows they're the current champion for the Ligue One this season, however their top target was the UCL title but it looks impossible for them.

Lyon will compete against Brest a team who may still hope to be able to shift PSG's position in the standings but this is indeed difficult. What is quite surprising is that even though Brest has a better position than Lyon, they are not more favored in this match, Lyon is the one who is the favorite and is predicted to achieve good results again in this match, which predicted will be tight.
Lyon will have the opportunity to move up several places if they can beat Brest, and in several of their meetings, Brest has never beaten Lyon when they visit Lyon home, so this will very likely be a match that Lyon wins or ends in a draw. Lyon have progressed very well so far after a poor start to the season, if they can maintain their good form it is possible they will get a place in one of European competition
Lyon had like 9 points in 9 games at the start or at some point, now they are 10th and I am not even joking they could finish as high as 5th place. I am pretty sure they won't, but the fact that they could is the greatest thing. With a win now, they could go above Reims and Rennes, making them 8th, and then the difference is just a few points between them and the fifth that should be the most important part. I believe that it is going to be quite important to make that difference and it could mean something decent.

I just hope that people could see that difference. Lyon is doing wonderful and that makes me so happy, they could just fail, they could finish 10th as well, doesn't really matter, they managed to make that climb and that's what matters.

Lens losing to METZ doesn't look like a surprise to me because ever since they dropped out of the champions league, Lens have been under performing in their league matches and we should know that the league is almost coming to an end so a lot of relegation teams will surprise the bigger teams.
For some people, this might be said to be surprising because losing to a team that is in the relegation zone is a very embarrassing thing for a team like Lens. However, this will actually open up another opportunity for Metz to compete and get out of the zone, because Metz Le Havre and Lorient mean that every win for the team in the bad zone will always be very meaningful for each of them. Because it is a very extraordinary thing for a weak team when they are able to beat a team that is stronger than them for the rest of the season.

The Nice club also still cannot confirm their position in the standings, the difference is too close to Lens making them also experience pressure. The most important match to win is hosting Lorient with 3 points on paper in the hands of the home team, however looking at the previous match, the mid-table team results were far from predicted by Lens being the favorite but instead they lost to a relegated team. I'm not even very active in betting on the League 1 competition because clubs other than PSG are just puppets whose role is not that important. I also hope that Nice doesn't get 3 points so that Lens is given the opportunity to take advantage of this opportunity again. At least if they don't qualify for the UCL next season, then Lens need to target the Europa League.
Teams' matches in Ligue 1 are difficult to predict, their performance is indeed unstable. Lens and Nice also have to compete in the remaining matches to at least get a place in European competition.
it is very difficult for other teams in Ligue 1 to catch PSG who dominates. If someone plans it, they have to prepare well for next season. I also think there will have to be big changes in the team to be able to compete with PSG's dominance in Ligue 1.

Le Havre vs Nantes
This match will be one of the most critical matches in the relegation zone. In what I think will be one of the most important matches of the week, both teams will play with high motivation and concentration. Nantes are promising as long as they play offensive football, but their football is still not good enough for Ligue 1. The same goes for Le Havre. Le Havre has a weaker offensive performance than Nantes. It's hard to pick a side, but Nantes are one step ahead with their attacking power in this match.
The match was ended and Nantes dramatically can able to overcomes Le Havre with narrow score 1-0 and in the beginning of match a bit surprised to see Le Havre formation because they were decide to used 5 defender players and it's clearly they want to playing with defensive style and rely on counter attack strategy and this strategy actually was successful until normal time but unfortunately Kader Bamba has been appears as supersubs because with his goal from injured time of second half Nantes can win this match and this result too makes Nantes position a bit safe because they have 7 points above to Lorient the team from relegation zone

On the other hand today Clermont still fight against Montpellier and currently in the first half and the score is still 0-0 and Clermont in the good conditions after stole point from strong team PSG and this result too can boosted their motivation to win this match and although it's hard but Clermont will attempts to hard struggling until this season ended to avoiding relegation zone and Montpellier also have same mission that they want to secured their position on Ligue 1 so this is interesting who will be the winner of this match later but still not late to bets under 2.5 goals for this match

Tactical and important to watch matches. France League have to develop just as the English Premier League and La Liga. My zeal in watching Ligue One matches have reduced to minimum because there's no presence of fierce competition among these elite teams. Paris Saint-Germain are always topping with significant points and have made the whole league looks unserious, but the same PSG when they meets elite opponents in th3 UEFA Champions League, they become incompetent and easily lose match.

Paris Saint Germain are in their comfort zone in the French Ligue 1. I agree with this criticism, but it's not their fault. In time, other teams will return the French Ligue 1 to its good old days. Every league goes through such periods from time to time. If teams like Lyon and Monaco return to their former glory or if an Arab billionaire buys them, the French Ligue 1 will become a more competitive league. Also, it would be better for Paris Saint Germain. Because they would be more concentrated on the Champions League. Maybe then they will win the Champions League, which they want.

Some Ligue 1 teams did not play this weekend, so they have a difference of 1 game. One of them is PSG, they will play again on April 20. They will play Lyon. It seems fortunate because next week they will go to Spain to play Barcelona in Leg 2 of the UCL. PSG should be able to perform optimally at Camp Nou because the difference in points in the league is very large.

Surprisingly, Rennes lost at home against Toulouse and this is a bad record where Rennes lost in a row in 3 matches. To be honest, I didn't expect this to happen and of course Rennes was quite devastated by this defeat. Toulouse is certainly very happy with their second win in the last 5 matches and managed to move them away from the bottom of the table.

Apart from that, this defeat made Rennes fail to get closer to Lens and made them stuck in 9th position in the standings. The competition for the top 10 will be even more interesting if we look at the number of points, some teams do not have such a big difference, so the matches every week before the season ends will always be tense. I think Lens must be more careful if they don't want their place to be shifted and fail to advance to European competition next season.

There were no interesting matches in League One today apart from the Lens and Brest match but instead Lens lost the match against a team that is at the bottom of the points table and we just have to watch Brest's match against Lyon tonight. I think these two teams have almost the same chances but instead Lyon has a bigger chance than Brest, maybe because Lyon is competing at home, but as we know, Brest's performance in league one is better than Lyon in terms of consistency, but because Lyon has experienced good improvement, I think the match will end in a draw.

This loss is a big problem for Lens. Nobody expected them to suffer this defeat. Meanwhile, Metz became hopeful with this win. There is only a 2 point difference between them and the 14th ranked team in the league. The relegation zone can change at any time, there is a very different race to avoid relegation.

With how far Lens has gone on this season comparing to metz nobody would have imagine them losing the match against metz, however they are even lucky that their matches this days is against the relegation clubs which they have a very big chances of wining but could not, although I have seen that Lens has difficulties on wining the relegation clubs, so I wonder if they can be able to use the good performance they have on their match with Clermont in other to win the match.

Actually on a norm this their upcoming match against Clermont is supposed to be one of the easiest match for them because Clermont has been losing matches since the season started that's why they have been on the bottom of the league, so it will be very bad for Lens if they cannot utilize the opportunity and secure three points for themselves because they really need the wining if not other teams will likely push them down from their position on the table.
Lens should be able to take advantage of this opportunity against a team from the bottom of the standings, but remembering the bad trend that Lens is currently experiencing makes me doubt whether Lens is able to beat Clermont or will only end up losing.
the erratic or inconsistent conditions that Lens is currently experiencing without any problems with the players and I also see that there are no injured players at the moment but Lens looks bad, perhaps only because the coach is still failing to improve the performance of the Lens players.

we have to think longer before placing a bet on Lens and of course we still remember the humiliating defeat experienced by Lens against Metz with a losing score while Metz also feels like they are in the relegation zone.
I decided to avoid betting on this match because for me it is full of surprises that can make us feel disappointed as bettors.
