What an interesting match today between Stade Rennais and Stade Brestois. This should be the most interesting French match I have watched in a long time. So much skills and scoring techniques from two average teams. The match kept swinging from home win to draw and finally to away win where it went from two goals to one in first half and ended four goals to five in full time in favor of the away team which was Brestoi.

Lille lost 1-0 against Monaco after winning three matches in a row. 3 points against Monaco would have kept Lille in third place on the points table. And could have qualified for the Champions League. Lille is now 1 point behind Brest.
Brest have dropped points in their last two matches. The Brest team lost against Monaco and Lyon. And if Brest's players can't improve this performance, then Brest won't be able to keep the third place in the points table. Lille's overall performance compared to Brest is now very good and tidy.
Brest is not really on a good shape on this match and Rennes was good enough to utilize the opportunity and score them two goals before ten minutes of the first half and it was from their Brest started putting in more effort and was able to score one goal before the end of the first half making it 2:1 and surprisingly they manage to score immediately they came back second half and was already beaten Rennes 3:2 but do to their inconsistency they could not defend properly because on the 90 minutes they were already playing 4:4, however while I was typing Brest managed to score their wining goal on the extra time making it 5:4 against Rennes.

Lille is still fighting to get a place in the Champions League next season and they finally got an additional 3 points after beating Metz with a score of 1-2. It's clear that even in an away game they should be able to win easily, but this time Metz did seem to make things a little difficult for Lille as they needed points to quickly get out of the relegation zone. Le Havre managed to get an important point away to PSG.It was very important for Le Havre to get points from this kind of games in order to stay in the league.PSG will most probably finish as champions and that's why this game doesn't have much importance for them.PSG are now 12 points clear of their nearest rivals and it's difficult to close this gap in the remaining 4 weeks. Le havre could have been expected to get a point from this away game because there is no points difference between them and their rivals Metz, so they had to win knowing that their rivals will also have a tough fight, but it's a different challenge to win on the road.

what happened to PSG? is this a surprise?
in H2H history they have never been able to break through PSG defense but in yesterday's match PSG only used second tier players and made it easier for Le Havre to score early and I was worried that in the first half they were behind by 2 scores while PSG were only able to get 1 score.
fortunately, Goncalo Ramos managed to provide 1 additional score to be able to hold the match to a draw so as not to lose points.
