I think PSG have gotten a golden opportunity to fight for the Champions League title this season that might not return for several years.
Imagine playing against weaker teams and facing Borussia Dortmund while Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and previously Manchester City facing each other to select one team for the final match!
PSG have now to prove themselves and pass Borussia Dortmund without mistakes then wait to see Real Madrid, hopefully, being eliminated so they get a new hope for the title

For now, it is time for PSG to keep their main players fit in order to be able to go through the UCL semi-finals well, so it is quite the right time for the PSG coach to use the second line squad in the matches against Le Havre and Lorient. And besides, Le Havre and Lorient are not very strong opponents so there is still a possibility for PSG to get points in this match and it also won't make PSG a loss if they have to share points with these two teams in League 1 because PSG's point advantage is quite far now.

Luis Enrique has nothing in common with the previous coach and although Kylian Mbappe is an important player in the team, he does not make it special for just one person. If you look at the discussions that have been written on several social media then I am sure that Kylian Mbappe will leave next season and it will have no effect even if they manage to win the Champions League this season. Luis Enrique has made several adjustments and although Kylian Mbappe is still an option, he dared to replace Kylian Mbappe in several previous matches.

PSG really have to get used to being without Kylian Mbappe because they are a team that has to be solid when playing and if Kylian Mbappe leaves next season they will get used to it like losing Neymar or Lionel Messi. Facing Dortmund will be a big step for PSG towards the final and I think Luis Enrique has prepared a special strategy when facing Dortmund.

Kylian Mbappe is Monaco's best talent whose potential has been maximized by PSG so far. Kylian Mbappe has won many titles in domestic competitions, he has also won the World Cup title at a young age. There are not many players who have made a contribution like him and have had a career as great as him, but unfortunately PSG had to let the player go at the end of the season because of the player's great desire to win more prestigious titles.

PSG is still having difficulty winning the Champions League title, that is one of the reasons Kylian Mbappe left. A season that is a league title winner, plus a potential UCL finals because Dortmund doesn't feel like a team they should be failing to win, could lead to Enrique staying at the club. You can't really know if you are going to keep Mbappe or not, it is likely that he will leave and that's what the talks has been for a while now, but that doesn't mean that we are going to end up with Enrique leaving, if you keep him then he will not leave. That feels like an important situation, and could benefit them a lot as well.

I feel like we are going to see PSG and Enrique trying next season without Mbappe together, they will probably not fire him. This team has been great, and they will want him to try to do the same without Mbappe too.

PSG next matches against Le Havre and Lorient will most likely be handled easily by Enrique, where PSG will be able to secure full points even though they played with a second line. The best result that the two teams could possibly achieve is holding PSG to a draw, but that still won't make PSG lose the Ligue 1 trophy this season. PSG priority scale is the Champions League, beating Dortmund and advancing to the final.

PSG chances of winning the Champions League trophy are quite difficult, where Madrid and Bayern are currently the favorites. However, to reach the final, I think PSG will be able to make it happen. It took great luck for PSG to win the most prestigious trophy in Europe, and it wasn't enough to rely on Mbappe alone. But what is clear is that Enrique must be able to maximize Mbappe potential before the player leaves next season.

Paris Saint Germaine's home win yesterday against Lyon didn't come as a surprise to me and just like me, I think there are a lot of people who weren't surprised by the scoreline of the game. But what actually caught my attention in the game was why the club manager Luis Enrique decided to rest Kylian Mbappe from the game. Mbappe is bound to leave the club this summer and the manager have said that he wants his team to get used to playing games without the France national team captain.

It probably does not mean anything to PSG to actually be able to win the Ligue 1 title. I honestly think that they do not even care about it at this point. The only thing they care about is winning the Champions League title and probably also keeping Mbappé in the team. The second option is not happening. Probably will try to win the Champions League with Mbappé. But I have a lot of doubts about that.

I understand that they are taking the most optimal decisions to actually win the Champions League competition. But I do not think they will actually be able to win the Champions League title. They are going to face Real Madrid in the Champions League. And a final between PSG and Real Madrid is obviously going to be a win for Real Madrid if I have to predict.

It is pretty much the game of the season for both Monaco and Lille. If Monaco wins it, the Champions League qualification is essentially safe. I know that mathematically something could still happen, but it would be 80% of the way I think. For Lille it would be important to keep the distance to Nice, depending on how they play, but a win would obviously be a very nice outcome. Because there is still a game to be played against Nice and having some advantage in hand would make that final game of the season an easier one.

But it is such a close race for the time being. What a success it would be for Brest to get a Champions League spot. I don't know wheter they ever played in that competition, but it is possible now. The discontinuation of their strong streak comes at a very bad moment now, but if they could score a 4/4 in the last 4 games, I guess it would be enough.

I am not at all surprised by PSG's different victory even though the score itself is also quite striking, because the strength of the PSG team is still not matched by other teams in League 1 this season. So it is still quite natural that PSG can win with that many scores at home against Lyon and for Lyon's hopes of being in the top six of the League this season, of course Lyon must be able to win in the remaining matches they will face this season while hoping that Rennes and Lens could lose in the next matches.

I think Brest still have a fair chance here because Monaco and Lille will face each other that certainly will give advantage to Brest. If Monaco win against Lille, Brest will stay third, but if Lille win, Brest will be fourth with two points gap. This situation will still give hope for all three teams. It depends on who have the strongest consistency till the end of the season.

It's still quite difficult to predict who will stay in Champions League zone, because anything can still happen. Looking at the remaining opponents for the three teams, I think Brest have the bigger hope, because they will play against teams that dont have any thing to fight for any more, While Monaco and Lille will play against teams those are fighting for staying in Ligue 1.

Brest's chances of being able to play in the Champions League next season will of course now be difficult for them to maintain after Monaco managed to beat Brest at home, at this time Monaco's journey is certainly smoother than Brest who now have to fight hard to maintain their position, honestly I did not expect that this season Brest has been able to do extraordinary things when they have never been seeded so far in the league,  Brest's surprise reach the top of the table has certainly not been thought of since the start of the season, so with all the hard work they have done so far it will certainly be a pity if they fail to qualify for the Champions League after 29 weeks of staying in the Champions League zone.

If PSG wins the next 2 games, then they will officially become champions, and it's funny that PSG's next two games will be against 2 teams that are in the relegation zone:



I believe that the PSG coach will not put Mbappe and Dembélé to play in the next 2 games, to avoid injuries, since they will be games against very weak teams and because after these two games PSG will play against Dortmund in a game of European champions league. As PSG's biggest objective is to win the European Champions League, then it makes perfect sense for the PSG coach to rest all the best players for the next 2 games. In any case, I see PSG being champions in the next 2 games

I don't think it's possible for PSG to lose consecutively. This season, no team has tried to rise to the first place in the rankings with such surprise exits from other big clubs. PSG beat Lyon with a different result. It was obvious that Lyon could not escape in this match. Olympique Lyon wants to be among the top six in the rankings. With only a few weeks left, they should collect good points after the loss after this match.

Brest didn't play as good as I expected yesterday and the game didn't end up well for them at all.    A 2-0 loss home helped Monaco get ahead of them in the standings by two points now. It isn't over yet... Monaco have a missing game to play as well. Brest even risked their chance to qualify for the Champions League group stage directly by this loss.

Because Lille are right behind by only one point and a missing game to play as well. This is the second loss in a row for Brest and another tough game is on the way for them against Rennes away. Considering that Brest couldn't beat Rennes home I don't have big expectations away for now.

The performance of PSG against Lyon is actually everything i expected so i at no point entertained any form of surprise in the fact thst Lyon lost in such a landslide fall to PSG because if you take a critical look into the performance and form of both teams, you are going to agree with me in The inequalities that exist between both teams in regards to their firm, depth and even their strength aswell both in the game and generally.

The Ligue 1 generally has been such that has provided PSG with every form of dominance which they enjoy and have always enjoyed in a very long time of which we cannot think to the fact that they will perform any less against team as weak as Lyon who has been literally struggling since this season and has not even have a decent form of consistency in their results and productivity This season so much actually isn't even expected from them as the chances they will perform well enough are actually very slim so PSG was actually in a better position to win them as they actually did.

The fact that Lyon will not be relegated because they have been able to avoid it and aswell been in a fair position few weeks to the end of the season already. They may actually hope to get a better chance of a good performance by next season hopefully and then PSG who may actually appear weak next season may have this as their last and season with the same kind of strength thst they have got currently.

With this latest victory, PSG is getting closer to winning the Ligue 1 trophy again. In the next two matches, PSG will lock up the trophy and crown themselves as champions this season. Luis Enrique is actually no longer worried about anything in the competition for trophies, because all their future matches are relatively easy to overcome. Lyon is actually starting to improve, but their strength is not equal to PSG, but I didn't expect them to lose with a score of 4-1.

It's true, Ligue 1 needs rich investors and acquiring a club is one way to offset PSG dominance. Apart from that, Luis Enrique can now turn his full focus to the Champions League and prepare his squad well to face Dortmund.
