PSG played well and managed to win against Barcelona but let's be honest, if PSG faced Real Madrid or Manchester United or even Arsenal in both legs, the result will be very different. Barcelona red card impacted the game a lot but it wouldn't be the only cause of the defeat. Barcelona is weaker than what used to be and the advantage they have in term of goal difference weren't used as it should be.
We will see the next team that PSG will face to get a better view whether they can play the final game or not.
Playing against Barcelona in the quarter-finals is actually an advantage for PSG because Barcelona's performance is different from Real Madrid, Manchester City and also Bayern Munich. If PSG faced one of these favorite clubs, of course PSG would be eliminated early, but luckily PSG got an opponent that was quite equal so it wasn't a problem which was too big for PSG, even though they suffered defeat at home in the first leg, this did not make the players mentally give up. Teamwork was highly prioritized in taking advantage of the situation when Barcelona only played with 10 players, which made Barcelona lose control and become an opportunity for PSG to achieve victory in the second leg.

Maybe if Barcelona didn't lose their defender, the possibility that would happen would be to achieve a draw and Barcelona would still qualify for the semifinals, but fate said otherwise, Barcelona had to suffer the misfortune of having their player get a red card in the 29th minute, making the PSG players even more enthusiastic about fighting Barcelona. Xavi himself felt that he didn't accept the referee's decision and he was very angry, but what else can the decision be done? Barcelona must accept the fact that they have lost in this round, and PSG is the one who has qualified for the semifinals and we'll see if PSG is able to reach it final and beat Dortmund.

A good performance from PSG and it seems this time they won the Champions League match without of having superstar players like Neymar or Messi to spend too much money for them which wi much better than the situation of PSG in the last season.
In fact, they got better teamwork with a better coach instead of spending money on expensive players and I think the reason for PSG beating Barcelona
However, they were lucky because Araújo's red card changed everything otherwise Barcelona could beat PSG.

I don't think as like you. It is true that the PSG team is a bit behind compared to Manchester City or Madrid. However, it cannot be said for sure that PSG will lose against these teams. We saw a few years back when the Chelsea team won the Champions League title. Chelsea were a mediocre team. Even then, this team won the Champions League title by surprising everyone.

PSG team is not as strong as City or Madrid. But right now I can't say that PSG have no chance of winning the title. PSG played very well in yesterday's match against Barcelona. PSG's match strategy was very good. With the help of Luis Enrique, this team is now very stable. So PSG also has a chance to win the title.

Teams' matches in Ligue 1 are difficult to predict, their performance is indeed unstable. Lens and Nice also have to compete in the remaining matches to at least get a place in European competition.
it is very difficult for other teams in Ligue 1 to catch PSG who dominates. If someone plans it, they have to prepare well for next season. I also think there will have to be big changes in the team to be able to compete with PSG's dominance in Ligue 1.
Betting on league 1 clubs other than PSG in my opinion is too risky, they are difficult to predict, even though they are in the middle of the table or in the top 3. They are also not completely consistent in winning and can said to be less stable. So it is better to bet on other leagues than are not as stable as the league 1, this league is not as exciting as more competitive leagues such as the Champions League. European League, English League, La Liga, Italian league, these leagues bring in clubs that are not only dominated by one club, so we can still gain profits from betting, not just betting on clubs that are at the top level, although this does not guarantee that it will match predictions. but in my opinion they are more interesting than league 1 which is less competitive.

It is impossible for League 1 clubs to overtake PSG if they do not have the same finances as PSG and cannot buy better players to support their success in League 1. Unless there are investors rich who are willing to choose one of the League 1 clubs to overhaul big changes will mean their performance will improve and they will be able to compete with PSG, but if there haven't been any changes, I don't think any club will be able to break PSG's dominance in League 1.

The rules for it are very simple. The more risk you take, the more reward you get. If you take the bigger risk you can't get anything and that's something we are sure about it no matter if you are betting in the French league or the other leagues. In fact, even if you are talking about the French League you should understand that PSG is the team they usually win and that's why there is much lower rates when you bet on PSG which can make you to get a small reward it is worth nothing while even PSG can lose and the risk you take for PSG won't give you the big reward to want to get while betting on this team.

In my opinion, small odds in betting do not make sense at all. There were also surprise points losses for Paris SG in the French league. However, if you are going to bet on the team against Paris SG, you will be lucky, but it is also very difficult to predict. That's why I think it's unreasonable to add low odds matches to bets. By the way, they are playing very well away from Barcelona right now and they will advance to the next round. It's a dream come true evening for Paris SG.

Personally, I hope that Xavi will be able to take Barcelona to the semi-finals to the final of this season's Champions League. Barcelona has the potential to play Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals, but of course only if Atletico Madrid wins against Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid did not make it to semifinals of the Champions League. They were both eliminated tonight after an all time interesting match. The teams that won their first leg matches couldn’t make it to the next stage of the competition. This is how the game of football is, very unpredictable and surprising most times. Let’s see what happens in the semifinals after seeing the teams that will join them in the semifinals after tomorrow’s game.

Even though PSG did not have financial difficulties, they still could not win Europe's biggest cup. They couldn't do this even with Messi-Neymar-Mbappe. We can no longer watch a top-level offensive line other than this trio of offensive lines. They probably had one of the best offensive lines in history at that time. They still didn't win the UCL. This year, they lost to Barcelona at home and gave the advantage to their opponent. I think they won't win this year either. Their chances of winning are even weaker after Mbappe leaves.

I just believe their time will come and when it comes, the players that will win the champions league for them will not be players that anyone will think would worth it or close to those trios they’ve had in the past and couldn’t win in it. About this year’s participation in the Champions League, they’ve just secured their place in the semifinals, I’m sure you never expected that too. That is how football is and we can’t underrate or judge any team based on past performance.

To be honest, I didn't watch this match, but I predict that Lyon will win the battle between these two teams. and yeah, Lyon beat Brest with a score of 4-3. automatically, Lyon rose to 7th place in the Ligue 1 table. This refers to the last goal scored by Lyon from the penalty spot. the Brest goalkeeper should not have made a fatal mistake, so the referee gave Lyon a prize which made them win this match.

For the ones who saw how bad Lyon performed in the first part of Ligue 1, I mean in 2023 then he would definitely back Brest which is sitting in the second spot.
If we analyse deeper the situation then we will see that Lyon made the best progress among all teams in Ligue 1, top 4 teams included. They won most of their matches and continue to climb in the ranking. Best they could do is to get to Europa League next season or at least Conference League..
Yes that's right. I was one of those who watched Lyon from the start of the season, they slumped at the bottom of the League 1 standings at the start of the season after failing to win in the first 11 weeks. And slowly Lyon's performance began to improve after achieving five wins, including against AS Monaco and Marseille where they seemed to be finding their confidence again. And of course Lyon's revival and struggle to return to 7th place occurred after the change of coach.

The victory over Brest was not luck but the result of the hard work of Lyon players who wanted to continue to recover from their downturn at the start of the season. Of course their current target is to finish in the Europa League zone and it is true, as you said, at least they can finish in the Conference League zone.

When Lyon was behind with a score of 1-3, then I thought it was over for Lyon to win this home match against Brest. But after all, Lyon still has great abilities because Lyon managed to score two goals back to equalize the score at 3-3. But indeed, in the 90+ minute Lyon were awarded a penalty kick and what was even better, Ainsley Maitland-Niles actually succeeded in executing the penalty kick into a goal. With this victory, Lyon is getting closer to finishing in the top six and of course, it would be extraordinary if Lyon finally managed to finish in the top six. Because yes, I think it's clear that Lyon really started this season very badly but yes, with the great efforts that continue to be made by changing coaches too, in the end Lyon really got out of the relegation zone.

So far there is only Mbappe who really looks dominant and has made huge contribution to PSG, in fact they have been able to continue winning Ligue 1 for several seasons, especially this season thanks to Mbappe being with them.
For other competitions such as the UCL, I don't think PSG really has enough performance or strength to compete and be able to win the title in the upcoming match, it is certain that PSG will fail to beat Barcelona away and they will be eliminated.
They can repeat this next season but PSG is playing without Mbappe and there is no certainty about who will replace him, clearly this is detrimental condition for PSG.

Yes and the decision to move to Real Madrid was the right decision for Mbappe considering that with PSG he also did not win any titles except Ligue 1, he is great young player and it would be shame if his career did not develop.
It time for Mbappe to go and pursue what he should have gotten long time ago, Mbappe biggest wait is to be able to fight for and win the UCL title, and with Real Madrid the chances are quite big to achieve that.
Kylian has been the main man for this psg side since his move to the club over 4 years ago as in a large period of those 4 years, he’s ended up the team’s highest goal scorer and that’s enough to help the team be able to consistently win the league. They’re very good when it comes to them winning the league rather than how they perform in the UCL.

In the UCL, this fierce team are just a shadow of themselves and even when they have the likes of Messi and Neymar, yet they aren’t able to do anything tangible in the team and it’s worrisome. They’re always failing to reach the Semis of this competition and yes the fans aren’t enjoying it anymore as thy though this is their year but they fell at the Park des Princes last week to Barcelona.

Now the chances of them going through is very slim because they’re now going to Camp Nou which is one difficult ground to overturn victories. I think it’s because of reasons like this Kylian is wanting to leave the club to be able to win European trophies and get himself on the limelight.

He’s decided to go to Real Madrid and I feel that’s really one cool decision especially as he’s one player the team needs to still keep dominating Europe. And Real Madrid is a balanced squad and Kylian will fit in easily in the club so the move isn’t a bad one rather it’s one that’s timely and needed by both parties.

I am also surprised that a relatively unknown club like Brest would make it to the second position where we have teams like renowned teams like Monaco, Lyon, Marseille, etc. This is what we want to see in League One because it has not been competitive for some time now. It will be great to see a team that will dethrone PSG like we saw Bayer Leverkusen push Bayern Munich aside this season.

If we look back, of course we can find teams that have broken PSG dominance in Ligue 1 such as Montpellier and Lille, but to break that dominance other teams in Ligue 1 took almost 10 seasons to do it and of course it is no different from Leverkusen who have now broken Bayern Munich's dominance after many years,  I think for now it looks like we will wait a long time to see again a other team that is able to thwart PSG champions in Ligue 1 later, for now of course the financial strength possessed by PSG is a strength for them to continue to dominate the league so that when there are no other teams in Ligue 1 that are financially strong then it is impossible for us to see Ligue 1 will be competitive.

Brest have always been at the bottom, so indeed their ability to be second at the moment certainly surprises us all, I think their stable performance at the beginning of the season made them able to be second at the moment and unfortunately they were not able to continue to put pressure on PSG after slowly their performance declined towards the end of the season.

I am not saying that it is true word for word and every price, but to be fair, Transfermarkt shows that Mbappe is worth as 180 million and total value of PSG as 1.02 billion euros. By comparison, the closest team is Monaco with 347 million euro. Meaning, if Mbappe were to leave today, and you drop whatever remains to half, it still doesn't go under Monaco, they would still be the leader.

This is of course the value, just because you have a higher value, doesn't mean you will win, the year when Lille won, did PSG have lower value? Of course not, but I think putting all of the achievement to Mbappe is wrong. We will see what will happen next season, Mbappe will be gone, and I bet that PSG will have an even easier win for sure.

PSG is a perfect example that money alone cannot buy success in sports. They failed to win the UEFA Champions League when they had the best players and quality coaching crew. Although they consistently dominated the French League but couldn't lift a European trophy. After some time these these players became a problem because they began to have conflict among themselves. Which made the club to let Messi and Neymar leave the club. We didn't see much from Mbappé in the first leg but the influence and quality of the Frenchman cannot be pushed aside. He might make a difference in today's game and help PSG get to the semi-finals.

It's hard to believe, Brest is in second place in the standings awhile got losses against Lyon have lower current standings position after dramatically match with the result over 4-3. Its crucial victory for Lyon after conceded over 1-3 until 70th minutes but success made come back for winning over 4-3. Slowly, Lyon success moving to the higher position standings and their points almost close reach the Europe League spot after having bad performance in the early season and dropping to relegation zone.

Maybe no one would have thought that Reims would submit against Strasbourg last week and the hosts, Strasbourg, beat Reims quite badly with a score of 3-1. Recently we have seen Reims lose its consistency, even in the previous match they only drew against Nice without a goal. The record of their last 5 matches is also bad, where they only got one win and they have also lost so many points in the last month.

This made Reims fail to move forward and they only remained in 8th place in the standings and would be easier to shift in the next match if the results remained the same as before. Reims, which I know has a good defense, seems to often experience carelessness and this is well exploited by the opposing team to steal points from them. Well, hopefully they get up soon considering that Ligue One will end soon and at least they will finish where they should be.
Honestly, I personally am not too surprised by the defeat obtained by Reims in the match, indeed in terms of position, Reims has a better position in the standings by being in rank 8 in contrast to Strasbourg which is in rank 12 right now, indeed both have a much different position previously but if you look at their performance in recent weeks of course Strasbourg is still better than Reims currently with 2 wins,  2 draws and 1 loss, in contrast to Reims who were only able to win 1 win and 1 loss and 3 draws, indeed the team that forced Reims to draw was a big team but I think the these three are actually not in their best form at the moment.

The beginning of the season Reims was able to surprise us quite because they played quite impressive but when entering the middle of the season they slowly began to bad and often played unstable, to be honest when the season started, I quite salute their defense but for now Reim's defense is not better than Strasbourg, you can see in the standings if at the moment the number of Reims conceded more goals than the goals they created so it feels like it will It is difficult for them to end the season in the Europa League zone this season.

Brest 3-4 Lyon

This loss for Brest could easily have been avoided. The last goal was completely unnecessary. I mean the last moment when they actually ended up conceding a penalty. In the first half, Brest played really well. They were actually playing well until Lyon started scoring goals. From the moment when Lyon scored their first goal, it looked like the defense of Brest was starting to crumble. They were starting to make more and more mistakes in the defense. And finally, they ended up losing the match because of that.

This has made Brest buying in fear of dropping down to the third position. And they also had a red card for Tagliafico which is a very important player for them. They are going to have trouble in my opinion.
It's hard to believe, Brest is in second place in the standings awhile got losses against Lyon have lower current standings position after dramatically match with the result over 4-3. Currently, Lyon has 8 points remaining to reach Champion League spot and small points left to set up one place for Europe League next season although have play more one match than above teams standings. I think Lyon has chance with moving up to higher standings position 5 remaining matches later.

For now, they are still preparing their performance to be able to finish the UCL second leg match which they previously lost to Barcelona.
Next match is an away match for PSG and it looks like they will lose, being eliminated from the UCL in this quarter-final.
PSG might have quality and expensive players but they can only beat teams in Ligue 1 and not in European competitions like the UCL, they will definitely fail along the way, that's why I once said that if Mbappe wants money, he doesn't need to stay there. PSG but in the Arab league, he can earn a lot of money, after all why is he keeping himself at PSG which doesn't provide any progress in the UCL, just look at him always failing to bring PSG into the UCL final and only always getting the title in Ligue 1 no more than That.

I think Mbappe is still young and he still has enough time to spread his wings in a team that has the potential to enter the UCL final or win it, for example Madrid because of course Madrid will have a striker who is quite productive like Mbappe, I am sure that next season Madrid will be the team which is strong if Mbappe succeeds in moving to Madrid, I am also not sure that PSG will succeed in beating Barcelona at their home ground, of course it will obviously be difficult because Barcelona is quite strong playing at their home ground. PSG next season must improve with players who are more qualified and have a lot of experience in the UCL.  Grin

Reims actually has starting the match with very well because at the beginning of first half Reims can taking initiative to playing attacking Reims even can able to leading the game after Nakamura scored at 7 minutes of first half but the red card is ruin Reims performance because after that incident Strasbourg can taking over the game and they were successfully to makes Reims playing under pressure until this match ended and this result is makes Reims position on league table was taking over by Lyon because at the same time Lyon can win from Brest

I personally won't be recommend to placing your bets for Reims because the performance of this team is really unpredictable because sometimes they performing well but often too Reims performing poor and lost even it against small teams so it is very risky to putting your money on them and if we talking about Reims this weekend they as a host will playing against Montpellier and actually Montpellier is not strong opponent for Reims because previously Reims can beat Montpellier several times but lets see it later whether Reims can return to the winning ways from this match or they will be unable to win again

This has mostly to do with the fact that PSG is not the only rich club in the Champions League getting money from investors or being rich for other good reasons. Real Madrid has tons of money because for some reason they can go deeply into debt. Manchester City is rich because they are owned by the City Football Group, which is run by the Abu Dhabi United Group etc. Bayern Munich has been a very rich club because they made a lot of wise financial decisions and they have done some great work to set up their club without being based on huge debt.

But in France there is no competition for PSG. That's why it is all about money. Neymar was a mercenary who was all about the money. Messi went to PSG at a stage in his career when he knew that he already had his best years of his career at Barcelona and Mbappe was very young and couldn't resist the money either. But that is not how you build a Champions League winning team. Look how much work Guardiola has put into building the Manchester City squad. Yes he has a lot of money available, but he is much better at building world class teams than any other coach that has ever worked for PSG.

It's too hard to compete against a club which have unlimited resource, I don't think it's impossible at all. Since PSG have big amount of money being spent, They failed to win Ligue 1 twice lost to Monaco and Lille. Money is not the sole reason, good management and recruitment are also big factors. When Monaco won the league over PSG, their team was considered a golden generation because the talents in the team. This proves recruitment and development are also big factor beside financial resource.
Recruiting and developing the players who have been recruited is indeed an important thing apart from money, because there are many teams whose finances are not very large but can develop well in the League. And for PSG, it is actually the team that needs greater pressure on the players so that when they play outside League 1 they can still be more competitive. Because financially, PSG is a team that has a lot of money and can buy more star players who are able to help the team become better, but sometimes this is still not enough if the players who have been bought are not trained well enough while at PSG.

The both team played very well especially Lyon for equalizing the goal the way they did however I blame Brest on the other hand for showing their weaker side when the Match has gone really far, though at first Brest tried to have equalized the first goal at the 60 minutes of the game and was still able to utilize the opportunity and scored two more goals making it 3-1 against Lyon on the space if 7 minutes and at that points I concluded that Brest will surely win the match but it was unfortunate for them that when they feel they have already won the match that was when Lyon change their method of play and Brest was not able to hold them do to the kind of pressure they were having.
