From the beginning I thought that in the process the will quickly move up but unfortunately they are still left behind which am convinced that it not about time but the strength they have now can't uplift them, truly their performance is very poor and unfortunately that a club that you can called twice in ligue 1 because of their consistent and their incredible performance now can even make it out of the relegation zone, they are one game away from the remaining relegated club which it will be worse if Clermont-Foot win their next match Olympic Lyon will move down to 17 in the table.

But they are going through quite some rough times because everyone says how bad they are playing and that they can't believe what Lyon is doing, but one part of the truth is that in most games Lyon is not the weaker team. They have got all the chances almost every game to win those games, but they are totally out of luck.

It reminds me of the start into the season for Ajax Amsterdam, it wasn't that they forgot how to play football and turned into a bad team just from one season to the next. I think there have been plenty of examples where teams that play well just can't win their games. In the end points and goals is all that matters in football, but I think a thorough analysis requires a deeper view into what is going on here really. This was another game against Rennes that Lyon should not have lost.

Now their short winning streak of three games wasn't only interrupted by one loss, but is now in shambles since it seems that they are getting into the same trouble again.

Things like these usually happen in UEFA leagues because nothing is new any team can face problems and also can go down, but usually we have recovery for some but now in case of Lyon things are looking at the worst because after their recent few wins there were hopes they will be at his best and have good chance for the doing their best but suddenly now two back to back loses bring them back at their worst and confidence level is also going down which is surely not ideal now in coming round they will host Marseille which is surely at his best and will not let them go with any positive result.

Even now we have still long way to go, but they need to be improved and at the better level if they want to keep things alive for staying here in Ligue 1 because if they lost few more points then surely this could be disastrous for them with relegation is also now moving at their head.

Well, they did managed to get a few wins in a row, which made them get to a point where they may stay. Plus, like I always say, they are still far away from the end of the season, so we do not know what will happen. Maybe they will get even worse and end up being the last team in the league when the season is over, or maybe they will get a bit better and they will finish the season 13th or something. Both of the mare quite possible and both of them could happen.

We should just let it be for the time being, and we should not consider that as a problem at this moment. Just let the season continue and if they do fine then they will do fine, there should be no rushing to keep them alive for now, they can do better second half of the season.
