PSG have secured a place in the semi-finals and later they will face Dortmund to reach the Champions League final, for now of course PSG no longer have the burden after locking a ticket to the semi-finals and certainly they will be more focused on maintaining their performance in Ligue 1, although now PSG's position has been very secure in Ligue 1 but I think they will certainly still chase victory to be able to celebrate the championship Ligue 1 is faster this season.

PSG beat Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League yesterday, so can we say if their mentality has improved and become favourites to win the UCL this season?
I don't think we can say if PSG will be favourites to win the UCL, because I think PSG's victory in the second leg is inseparable from the red card obtained by Barcelona in that match, so it benefits PSG to beat Barcelona and I think if Barcelona still play with 11 players it is certainly not impossible for us now to see Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals.
The championship competition has long ended for other teams in Ligue 1, so now other teams in Ligue 1 are only to competing for a tickets Champions League next season, while the Ligue 1 trophy competition has long been only a dream for other teams besides PSG.

I think it has nothing to do with ownership, I mean of course Abramovich definitely made that team better, but that doesn't mean that current ownership is not trying, they are trying their very best and putting all their money into it, look at how much they have spent already and they are still not doing great.

I think that type of problem is not regards to ownership, because what owners could do right now would be something that could benefit that and should be something that betters in the end. I believe that manager has more to do with their situation and I believe that they are not doing well but Ted has nothing to do with it, he is trying his very best and he is doing whatever he can to make that team better.

Also at this stage, the club is also experiencing a hard time in trying to talk Xavi to still remain in the club and this loss comes as a big one for the club.

 Now the club is out of the UCL which could have helped the club be able to raise some finances should incase the need for hiring a new coach arises. This frustration could linger on and probably affect the club’s performance over the weekend if the club’s management doesn’t handle the situation well.

 ⁠PSG attack weren’t a match for Barca in any way and the red card already made the defense line of Barca short of one man as against the speedy attack of the PSG attack. Well the result was a big one and I understand the anger of both Xavi and the fans as they never expected such especially in their home ground.

 The board should try to manage this situation well and on time and try sourcing for other means of getting funds because the financial state of the club will be one of the main reason Xavi might want to depart as he might not be able to sign the required players to help him in his formation for the club. I agree with you because in a critical check of all these things, you will agree with me that Barcelona actually did their best and PSG owe their victory to Barcelona's red card els i doubt if they would have been able to really get such resounding victory over Barcelona considering how they were won in the first leg were Barcelona actually had their goals very early at the beginning of the game in the first half.

Arahjos red card didn't affect Barcelona so badly because he was a very vital player but because it was a game that had enough pressure already and they were playing from home so they couldn't cope well with the pressure exerted on them to win with a man down, i feel their mentality, morale and confidence was actually in a .was and they just couldn't help it as it got to them and even in their performance they literally did showed that they were seeming to accept loss even before they lost, PSG on the other had need to be applauded for proper and adequate use of the opportunity they got.

It was actually very possible they would have been unable to do anything with that opportunity that was been given them in that game and then they would have still lost and not been able to proceed to the semi finals because if Barcelona had three goals in that game they would have definitely qualified while PSG would have crashed out of the champions league but then they made sure to score more goals while they conceded less goals.

PSG's Champions League journey hasn't ended indeed. Araujo's causing a meaningless incident and getting a red card literally gave life to PSG. That 4-1 win is really big however I'm curious about how it would end if there wasn't that red card.    The reason why I wonder it is that they were 1-0 behind before that red card.

PSG must be able to focus on the Champions League more comfortably normally as they are in safe condition in the Ligue 1 for the title. The other teams near PSG in the Ligue 1 are rather fighting for capturing a Champions League spot now you know. It would be really nice to see Brest there as well. 

I think Mbappé's focus now is how to win individual awards and PSG might not be a viable place to get awards like Ballon d or. Real Madrid will be the best place for him to get the award. Players will go and come but the league will continue to flourish and be exciting. PSG will get another player who will replace the French international. No player is irreplaceable in football because more talents are discovered everyday.

PSG's benchmark for coaches is to win the Champions League and Luis Enrique is close to winning the title. PSG might be the favourites in the semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund but it is not certain that they will get it to the finals because the German side also plays quality football. If they are as fortunate as they were yesterday this season might be their year of victory.

I think that as a wise PSG fan, Mbappe's decision to leave Paris next season will not make PSG fans hate Mbappe. We know Mbappe is one of the best strikers in the world. And his dream since childhood was to play for Real Madrid. Mbappe is also still young and he is still very ambitious to win many championship titles and individual awards in the future. I think his decision to leave PSG will be difficult for PSG fans to accept but of course they have to understand that Mbapee may want to play in a higher and more competitive league. PSG never lacks money to pay Mbappe but Mbappe wants to make a lot of history in the world of football like his idol Cristiano Ronaldo did.

one of the surprises that benefited PSG this season and with this very happy result, Enrique really feels challenged to try to be sure of getting the UCL title this season because in the next UCL match he will have an equal opponent against Dortmund and if Enrique is able to manage the PSG players well will definitely be able to win to qualify for the final round.
this season, perhaps not only Enrique but all PSG players have become more confident, even though most people previously doubted that PSG would fail, luck is on this team's side and I'm sure that as long as the coach can consistently rotate his players well, they will definitely qualify to the final round but not necessarily able to get the UCL title.

After winning with PSG in the Champions League, Mbappe's future is still a hot topic of discussion and he has also said in interviews about his future decisions and that will not change the fact that he will still leave at the end of the season. What will happen to PSG if they lose their star player and maybe Ligue One will be quiet because they lost their icon.

It is clear that this will still be a loss not only for PSG but also for all Parisians who will miss Mbappe and he will play his last match with PSG this season. We already know where his future lies next and of course it will increase his career performance at a higher level in winning individual titles or trophies. It cannot be denied that PSG won because one of the Barcelona players made a mistake and received a red card, allowing PSG to control this match and turn things around.
However, whatever happens, now PSG has managed to advance to the semifinals and I will not overreact to this because the journey is still very long and in terms of percentage to win the Champions League, the PSG team is not much bigger than other teams.

This victory seemed like there was an element of luck for PSG because the Barcelona team made mistakes and PSG was able to maximize that very well.

In the end the game found the right winner although I think everyone agrees that the red card changed a few things and the move by the Barcelona defender couldn't have been more stupid and reckless as that. He knew that if he attacks full speed in that position, it is going to be a red card. He should have stopped the attack in the very last moment as the only chance Barcola had was to give the ball an uncontrolled touch. With that ter Stegen could have intervened and stopped the attack or at least would have had a good chance to defend the ball as Barcola was hardly going to have the time for a concentrated attempt at that speed.

But still I think that PSG had good chances to win the game anyway as they were in full control even before Barcelona scored the first goal. Now they have great chances to get into the final as Dortmund isn't the strongest opponent.

We have one of the best game from the Lyon in this season while they are now coming to the top which is impressive run from them after having worst ever start of the season in second half of the season until now they are best team in Ligue 1 with their performance and this match was clearly showing how challenging are now they are to beat with few more results like these can give them ticket for the European Competitions because we have the worst performance from the Lens and Nice in last few games which are giving them benefit.

In game against Brest, we have 7 goals and 10 cards with 2 red cards which are surely amazing stuff for the all fans after 90 minutes while match was at the score of 3–3 I was expecting points for both sides but 105th minute goal give Lyon full three points and good win in this match against top team like Brest.

I think when Chelsea won the Champions League twice of course at that time they were no longer considered a mediocre team, because as I recall, when under Abramovich's ownership, Chelsea have turned into a strong team in the league and even then they had a pretty fantastic squad, so it would be wrong to say Chelsea at that time was a mediocre team that surprised a lot of people.  For now, in terms of squad, of course PSG and Manchester City are almost equal, but in terms of a winning mentality, of course we cannot compare the two teams.

I agreed here partially because I also feel Barcelona is weaker side and red card having big impact on their performance in rest of the match which allow PSG to win with good difference and qualify for the semifinal of the event with now they are going to face Borussia Dortmund which is also good side but for me here now PSG having better chance of qualifying for the final because they are having good performance against them, and they can win this round as well.

In early 30 minutes of the game, we have good control for the Barcelona, but suddenly they lost their momentum and also lead of the two goals which allow PSG and Luis Enrique to dismantle and win this game by big margin I was having impact about PSG is one of the weakest sides in this round, but they achieve good result and now things are well-balanced for them to go for the final.

Manchester United? You probably meant Manchester City, mate. Manchester United failed to advance past the first round. They came last in their group. In an environment where the best teams in the Champions League are discussed, PSG is currently one of the top 4 teams. I think there is no need to say anything else about this. They represented themselves in the best way and managed to win away and went to the next round. I think those who think it is unlikely that they will even leave the group will be ashamed now.

We have fighting matches in the UEFA Champions League this season. Barcelona are out while PSG advance to the semi final, it's been really a trailing moment for Les Parisiens this season. Paris Saint-Germain knows how to beat their opponents with a man down. Luis Enrique took it upon himself to make things right since his team dissapointes everyone in the first leg of the quarter final but this time, they know the club's leaving and the ones qualifying for next phase.

Barcelona played above expectations this season and I think they deserve congratulations. Araujo's early red card broke the whole order. He has problems with this. I remember he received a red card again in another important match. Maybe he shouldn't play so hard in big games. As a result, these mistakes helped PSG advance to the next round.

In this league which is having one of the worst season due to many factors things are not easy to predict as we have in last few rounds with Nice lost their spot from second to fifth and Lyon are now touching new highs as they were at the bottom and now having chance of UEFA events in next season as they are currently one of the best team with their performance and going to face PSG in next round which is also having not good time in Ligue 1 with having five draws in last ten games which is huge decline into their performance but mostly are saying it is happening due to coach strategy as he is trying few things which will helps them after exit of the Kylian Mbappé in next season.

No doubt PSG win against Barcelona is huge and things are now favouring them for the final but still they need to be had some better things for their improvement and winning big titles because with their current level of performance it's not easy for them to have to win trophies.
