Before the commencement of the French Ligue 1 game between Paris Saint Germaine and Brest tonight at the Parc des Princes, I was of the opinion that it was gonna be a simple game for the home side to win but surprisingly to me and to majority of the people that just have predicted on the game, Paris Saint Germaine threw out two goals lead to finish the game in stalemate.

Luis Enrique needs to understand that he must improve the performance of his team of he really want to see them go far in the current campaign especially in the UEFA Champions League competition because if they should go to the European elites football competition with their current performance, they're definitely gone thrashed

IMO, I think Enrique is well aware that his current squad is not ready to compete fiercely in the Champions League competition. Based on my point of view, PSG is quite consistent in Ligue 1 but this team is not yet strong enough for the Champions League, especially in terms of solid, mature play, established players, and a proven mentality. we can refer to the depth of the current PSG team, almost mostly dominated by young players. however, because their opponent in the 16th round is Real Sociedad, Luis Enrique will try to win the match and qualify for the next round. perhaps, Enrique's stint in the Champions League takes him as far as he can without targeting the championship trophy.

And in the next season, PSG will get rid of incompetent players and fill them with players who can be relied on in all areas. thus, perhaps PSG will be better prepared to compete in the Champions League next summer. For now, Enrique's task is to build the PSG squad into a solid team. plus, still retaining the Ligue 1 trophy. For me, if PSG is able to enter the last eight it will be more than enough with the current Paris Saint-Germain squad. the problem is, they can't always rely on Mbappe. while other players are still trying to reach their playing level while adapting to the system that Enrique implements. Next season, it looks like PSG will prepare its team better and bring in several competent and reliable newcomers. Unfortunately, it is very likely that Mbappe will remain with his stance on terminating his contract this season. That's also why, in the scenario, Enrique's task is to rebuild PSG's strength with new players without their star Mbappe.

PSG entered the dressing room by scoring two goals before the end of the first half, they almost won the match, they had this thought while going to the dressing room, this thought made them lose in the second half. What happened in the second half was when Brest started to play more willingly, PSG's entire game plan became dysfunctional and they couldn't even maintain the lead.

It was a pretty bad forty-five minutes for PSG in the second half. Mbappe played well but it wasn't his day. He tried hard but it didn't work. If he had been on that day, PSG could have saved the day.

I just woke to see the game ended at a 2-2.

Prior to today and throughout today, I have been very skeptical of  the PSG vs Brest game. Even when I had the opportunity to take another bet with PSG to win, I still didn't take it. Because I knew brest won't be a walk in the park for PSG. I have watched brest on more than 1 occasion this season thar they took come through even in situations you'd write them off.

It's fascinating when you think about the fact that PSG won the first half with 2 goals and Brest won the Second half with 2 goals as well.

The Dominance of PSG in the domestic league is always expected given their above-average quality compared to other Ligue 1 teams, that's why the ultimate test lies in European competitions. The focus on Champions League success is evident, with the hope that Luis Enrique can guide PSG to at least the semifinals or even the final in his first season. The expectations are high, acknowledging that achieving success at the European level requires a different level of competition and strategy.

Luis Enrique faces a challenging task, because the Champions League demands consistent and exceptional performances against top-tier opponents. PSG's investment in Enrique suggests a long-term vision beyond just domestic success. They aim for recognition and triumph on the continental stage. It will be interesting to see how Enrique molds and guides the team to navigate the complexities of the Champions League and fulfill PSG's aspirations for European glory.

Not that it means too much that PSG messed up this game after having that 2-0 lead, but it does show how carelessly PSG can play and give up a comfortable lead in a game in their own stadium because they don't care. If this was a game that would have decided about who becomes the Ligue 1 title winner, would they have played the same way?

This is what I am criticizing about that league, PSG knows that no matter how this game ends against Stade Brest, they will win the trophy anyway. But in the Champions League they want to be different and then they realize that if they don't have to care at all for 38 games in Ligue 1, out of a sudden they have problems to do it better in the Champions League. It will forever be one of their deficits to be playing in a weak league.

The game ended in a draw as brest was able to get an equalizer at the end of the game, the equalizer came in few minutes to the end of the game and so PSG got a man down by the 90th minute of the game and that was really late to affect their performance in the game and they ended up sharing the points with brest.

I never expected PSG to draw the game because PSG was way much better in performance, form and team depth, brest appears like one of the average team with an average performance to avoid relegation in the league,  and so it was expected that such average performance wouldn't get them even a draw with PSG buy then they have got a point after the end of the match, to think that PSG was leading before they equalized git me feeling PSG had a poor defense today although their performance was okay.

Today's matches in the French Ligue 1 were quite interesting, with only Lens managing to secure a victory against Toulouse. Surprisingly, the other five matches ended in draws. What caught many off guard was Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), a team currently in good form, playing to a draw against Brest. This unexpected result was particularly surprising because it was a home game for PSG, and it was widely anticipated that they would triumph over Brest.The twist in the plot was the red card received by a PSG player, altering the course of the game. Many individuals who placed bets on these matches experienced disappointment due to the unexpected outcomes, especially in the PSG match, where hopes were high for a victory but ultimately resulted in a draw.

Their chances are still there but they are low compared to some of the other big clubs in the Champions League because even though PSG is a good club, they are in Ligue 1 which is not as strong compared to other competitions such as EPL and La Liga.

As for becoming champions they are still too far away and I quite agree in this regard because after all we must be aware of the situation that is happening now for PSG because they are good in terms of players but in terms of experience and coaches it is quite minimal.
Even if it is Enrique but when talking about experience in the Champions League it is clear that he is inferior to some other big coaches so this could also be the reason when PSG's luxury squad is unable to penetrate the Champions League in terms of trophy competition.

In the Ligue 1, there are teams that are putting up great competitions for PSG even though they're the upper handed side buh Monaco and Nice are also good sides that aim for the title too. PSG are a good side and they're opting for the trophy this season, they actually can earn it if there's not a reason for them to slack in their performance. Well I trust Luis Enrique to atleast try to achieve a trophy with them this season.

 When they faced Lille a couple of weeks back, the league game was fierce and they did their best to get a good performance in the game. Comparing both teams, PSG seems better and they had the higher chance of winning. For Lille, they fought to keep a draw knowing that they didn't not have all it takes to win the game. Whichever way, the points already earned had effects on their league standings and the performances after.

Kolo Muani and his first goal in Ligue 1 this year, he was unable to play on the last matchday against RC Lens. He was now substituted and Dembele is now in the game, but the goal was important. Todays game is an important one, Stade Brest are on third place in the league, so they are team for the championship in France. But Paris are now 8 points ahead of Nice, they will sure be champions this year. One thing maybe still be missing today... a goal from Mbappe.

At the moment of writing this post, PSG is near to winning the game with a 2-1 result while they had much more control over the game and much better performance than Brest while one hour passed from this game. I think PSG is getting far from Nice and after this result, if PSG finishes the game with this result they can get 46 points while Nice only has 36 points, and reaching a team like PSG is a dream for Nice.
 

currently PSG is playing, I hope they can win this game, but it will not be an easy game for PSG, because the opponent is a team that is in position 3 and comes to this game with a sequence of 5 games without losing and Because of this, I believe that PSG will have a very difficult time winning this game. I'm very surprised that Brestois managed to stay in position 3 in the table, in the last few games Brestois did very well, at this rate I believe that even if Brestois lost in this game, if they continue with this good performance they will at the end of this season they could finish in position 3 and with that they would have a place in the European champions league.

with nice's victory, they remain in second place in the table but they are no longer a great danger for psg in terms of competition for who will be champions this season, the difference in points that exists between psg and nice gives a certain comfort to PSG is playing at the moment I'm writing, if PSG manages to win today's game it would increase the points advantage to 9 points in relation to Nice, which would definitely be an impossible mission for Nice to catch up to PSG. . But if PSG loses in today's game, then the points difference will be 6 points. It wouldn't be impossible for Nice to catch up to PSG if the points difference is just 6 points

Now a team that I expected more from this season is Monaco, they are not managing to stay in second position, I see that Monaco will finish in position 4, they will not go to the European Champions League, they will probably only go to the European League. Monaco's terrible defense is hurting them a lot, in the last 5 games Monaco has won just 2 games and has had 2 consecutive games without winning. Monaco's performance really isn't good at all, that way they won't be able to get into the European Champions League

On the one hand, I feel that PSG best potential for winning the UCL trophy has passed, with the departure of Messi and Neymar last season. However, Mbappe is the hope that is now available, that is, if the management and club president succeed in convincing him to renew his contract and stay longer at PSG. In terms of experience, Luis Enrique is very reliable, he has proven his tactical abilities in the past when coaching Barcelona. PSG certainly really supports Enrique's efforts to present this prestigious trophy, they have a lot of budget to meet Enrique demands in shopping for the players he wants.

We have absolutely no doubt that PSG can win the Ligue 1 trophy again, because as we already know, other Ligue 1 clubs cannot match the depth of the squad built by PSG. On the other hand, if Mbappe decides to leave at the end of the season, I think Enrique can buy another good player, even though they won't get a player as good as Mbappe. Enrique must be able to take advantage of Mbappe company for the remainder of this season, to bring PSG to compete for the UCL trophy even though they are not the favorites.

There were too many draws in Ligue 1 matches this week and I think quite a lot of bettors lost money. Maybe I'm one of them because I bet on the Reims vs Nantes match and also Montpellier vs Lille. These two matches ended in a draw and for Lille it seems they were unlucky considering that at the end of the first half they lost one of their players after committing a foul and had to get a second yellow card so the referee issued a red card.

In the second half Montpellier should have been able to maximize their player advantage but in fact they were also unable to break through Lille's goal. Montpellier couldn't make good use of home advantage and Lille was lucky not to lose this match and still got one point. Meanwhile, Reims, which is usually quite strong when playing at home, in the end was unable to do much against Nantes and of course here Nantes is only trying to target a draw rather than losing.

Winning the UCL is some PSG may not be able to achieve this season but the Ligue is still very much achievable by them and as usual they are at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a very good point difference as compared to that which others has got bin the Ligue 1 already so it's with good assertions we can say they will win the Ligue 1 this season.

If Enrique wants to win the UCL this season I'm very optimistic it is not going to be possible buy then he can start to plan for next season because he is qualifed for next seasons UCL so it's very possible he can get it right with the UCL next season of adequate and proper preparations are made from now up  until next season and then for once thy will be able to develop the confidence required for them to be able to dare to win the UCL buy with their current form  I don't see them been able to get the UCL this season.

PSG is currently at the top of Ligue 1 with good results in the 18 matches they have played and today they will face Brest ^{(a team that not many people expect will be in 3rd place in the Ligue 1 standings)}, The history of meetings between the two teams is indeed dominated by PSG's victory, but in this match anything could possibly happen, however, i am sure that Enrique will provide a good strategy to face Brest, PSG will definitely win.

In Ligue1 PSG is always able to win titles by occupying the highest ranking, but in other leagues such as in the UCL, PSG is still not successful in winning trophies. So that is what Luis Enrique must try to prove his abilities to the PSG president, because the UCL trophy is a trophy that is always sought after by all teams from various leagues. Meanwhile, the issue of the possible loss of a mainstay player like Mbappe at PSG is also an important part that Luis Enrique must think about so that in the near future he can have a thorough plan to find a replacement for Mbappe.

There are quite many players missing at PSG side before the Brest game today. However I still don't expect this to be any hindrance for PSG to win the game. 

Mbappe's presence is even enough to increase the attacking force of the lineup. But a good team play is always the most important thing. Brest are having a much better season now. They wouldn't play timidly against PSG I assume. Therefore PSG had better be aware of counter-attacks. If they have the game under control it shouldn't be a huge problem for PSG to win tonight.

As long as PSG gives Luis Enrique freedom, I am sure he will be able to bring PSG to get the title that the PSG president wants.
Luis Enrique has led Barcelona in the past and if this season can bring PSG to a higher ranking it will be new history for Luis Enrique.
The biggest problem is not just the title, but losing Mbappe is a big problem for Enrique, while there is no other candidate who can replace Mbappe.
I think after this Luis Enrique will be a little shaky when he loses his mainstay player.
