Monaco has been one of the many teams that I have avoided on a bet slip this season. Their results have been very much inconsistent and most acca I included them ended in a loss. The problem is:

— They win a game when you least expect them to.
— they lose a game that everyone expects them to win.

Because of the above reasons accompanied by some losses here and there from Monaco, I had chosen to stay away from them. I don't think any Ligue 1 teams are ready to take the title from PSG. Maybe now that Mbappw is leaving, they'd get their chance.

But unfortunately, my expectations and predictions were slightly beyond my expectations. even though in reality, Monaco and Brest are only 2 points apart. along the way, Monaco played inconsistent matches. so far, Adolf Hutter's squad has only been able to win 11 of 22 matches. 5 draws, 6 defeats. although in reality, Monaco's opportunity to finish in second place behind PSG is still wide open.

Marseille played really badly. Brest played with 10 men for almost 40 minutes, but at the end of the day they were the winners. Marseille had difficulty even attacking. They are a far cry from their old, powerful days. Brest, on the other hand, is in very good form this year and they are playing well. Even though they played poorly, they did not make it felt.

Brest hasn't been that bad since this season actually, they have been more of an average team and they try to make sure they don't loose too much especially to teaam they would consider weak but they make sure they get to steal a point or three from them and that was exactly what they did to Marseille.

Marseille has exhibited inconsistency recently, they almost equate their wins and their losses so you can't tell at some point what they can be capable of because they may dash your trust just when you feel they are going to perform well. I don't think the game yesterday wasn't a very fair one for Marseille because they too also performed really well and were aswell not putting up a very bad performance so they were more like not really lucky.

The lost to Lyon which are one big side of the French League and It was somewhat expected though.The loss in points for Nice gives Monacco the edge to head up to 2nd place in the league. Many will think Moancco wouldn’t be able to get all the 3 points because of how kind of poor they’ve been especially at home ground.

I thought this will be a win for Monaco as they’re also eager to climb 2nd. But when you look at the players availability, you’ll see that they’re lacking some key players due to suspension and injury and the 2nd choices aren’t worth picking in the team. Therefore i wasn't really suprised at the lose they encountered yesterday against Toulouse at their home ground. They had that to their advantage but failed to take advantage of it.

You cannot really call a contender Nice based on their past performances they have always had a piece of the season where they have been extremely inconsistent and as such a team with inconsistency cannot really challenge a team like Paris which is already quite some points ahead and are relaxed for the title fight which most likely they will win it again.

They are now thinking exlusively to the Champions League as it is many years they are after such trophy.
