It is understood that PSG management's relationship with Messi is not good. In this case, Messi will not extend his contract with PSG. At the same time, PSG management probably won't keep Neymar in the team either. Now I am waiting to see which players PSG will try to bring into the squad. There is no doubt that Mbappe is a talented player. However, depending on only one striker, the performance of the team will not be stable. PSG management needs another experienced striker.
When viewed as a whole team, PSG actually doesn't only need a striker to be placed on the front lines, but PSG also has to be able to bring in better players for the midfield and back so that the team becomes stronger than before. Because if you only hope for the striker, it is clear that the team will not get good results because a striker also needs the best provider and the team also needs a better defense at the bottom so they don't concede easily.

Also, despite the fact that PSG have the best players in every line from attackers, centres, defenders and goalkeepers, but the reality is that PSG's defense is still relatively weak and also PSG's attack is not very good. So, if I consider the composition and quality of the players currently owned by PSG, basically they can support PSG to be able to get good results in every match.

So, I think PSG's problem is not about the players but the problem with their management and coaching. Because, for example, big teams like Real Madrid always have good coaches and management, so that the many star players in the Real Madrid squad can play well, and unfortunately PSG still cannot build or realize this in the PSG squad so far.

Lens won a narrow victory when playing away to Toulouse with a score of 0-1. The only goal came in the first half and was scored by Openda in the 33rd minute. Maybe this result is still good enough for Lens to maintain its position in 3rd place in the standings. The gap with Marseille is 1 point remaining and for PSG they are 6 points away, maybe if Lens is consistent enough they can at least secure second place before this season ends and ensure a ticket to next season's UCL without going through the qualifying route. As for Toulouse, they have to stop the winning trend from the previous 3 matches and this result is at least not so bad because they are still safe from the relegation zone.

PSG have given another chance to Marseille and Lens to enter the title race again maybe but it isn't a big chance of course. The gap with Marseille is still 5 points and not easy to close up. PSG are really unbalanced in Galtier's control but I don't think they would continue to lose so many points in the remaining five weeks in the season.

They just don't look like they will declare the league title very early as always. This team needs a change and that change should start with sacking Galtier. I think PSG have already started to think about who they can bring to the job. They had better do so not to miss possible good opportunities.

In the French league, most of the teams can't have a stable performance they mostly lose the games they should normally win. We know PSG got many superstar players and they get high amount of salaries but in fact, most of these players can't have the real performance they should do mostly because PSG ha a bad atmosphere in recent weeks and Messi traveling to Saudi Arabia was the last negative effect on this team.

PSG suspended Lionel Messi for two weeks, this was because Messi made an unauthorized trip. Maybe if we look at Messi's latest posts on his personal Instagram, he is promoting tourism in Saudi Arabia and it seems he did not get permission from PSG regarding the trip. Obviously this is not a great example for one of the best players in the world and it's only natural that PSG would impose this punishment on Messi. With this, Messi will not be able to strengthen PSG for the next two weeks and obviously this will make it more difficult for PSG to defend the Ligue 1 title without Messi in the next match.

Good joke  Grin I think the absence of a pedestrian, on the contrary, will strengthen PSG, since someone who will at least run will play in his position.
And by the way, the news followed that PSG would not renew the contract with Messi (although this was hardly news to anyone).
Well, actually Messi failed at PSG and now it will be interesting to see if he makes another try or retires (MLS/Saudi Arabia/etc).
Lol, so cute.
For me, only Mbappe can be relied on at Paris Saint-Germain rather than Messi, who seems to have no influence whatsoever for this club.
I myself would not expect Messi to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and it is also likely that Messi will not be maintained with the desire for the large salary that Messi wants for Paris Saint-Germain.

There is an adage that the movement of the one who cannot see is crooked that is exactly what happened to Messi. The main reason for punishing Messi is that the current PSG management does not have a good relationship with Messi. Since they will not renew the contract with Messi, they are starting to treat Messi like this. If Messi had a good relationship with PSG management then PSG management would have approved that application immediately if Messi applied for leave but since Messi and management do not have a good relationship they have taken this decision against Messi.

Messi has been banned from all PSG activities for two weeks.  That means Messi will be deprived of all benefits including practice matches for two weeks. Everything was fine but the over-prioritization of Mbappe is what made the PSG camp so bad.

Indeed, in the last match they lost at home. This is what makes the distance points closer. I see it as the fault of the player, not the coach. Hakimi was too aggressive, so within twenty minutes he received two yellow cards. This made it difficult for PSG players to play with ten people in nearly eighty minutes. Of course, this result made the supporters disappointed. Another thaht Messi also was suspended by PSG for two weeks out of training and chose to go to Saudi Arabia. Drop points at home, Marseille and Lens are running at full speed to be ready to unseat PSG.

Lens has a strong squad at the end of the league,

Lens should win tonight, Toulouse does not have much to play for since they are far from relegation and too low to have any European cup chances

nevertheless, five points at the top that PSG have over Marseille abd Lens should be sufficient to see them getting the trophy, alhought they are playing as they do not want to get it
fight for direct placement in CL is real, since both Marseille and Lens will have troubles to qualify for group stage in case they finish as third
Lens won today with a narrow score of 1-0 made by Lois Openda in the 33rd minute, I thought it would be an easy match but it turned out that Lens had a lot of difficulties to produce more goals and it turned out to be quite a fierce match, Toulose did not have the provisions a lot to play in the European cup precisely this year.
Today's comparison between Lens and Marseille today measured one point difference, 69 for Lens and 70 for Marseille, in the next match they have the right time to face each other head-on and say who deserves to be in second place, it will be a pretty fierce match between these two teams, because these two teams performed quite well and didn't have much difference in goals or points.

I read the news about Messi trip to Saudi Arabia and I was thinking about three things
First, is he doing this for fun and tourism purpose or he is promoting tourism in Saudi Arabia, which is the main purpose in my opinion.
Second, is that a familial trip or a business trip or both? I mean is he discussing a contract with a Saudi team?
Third, is PSG aware of that trip and the answer wasn't late for that question Roll Eyes
i think he traveled to saudi arabia in the context of promoting tourism in saudi arabia but it's a bit strange also where he is still needed in the team but he made the trip which got him punished for his indiscipline. Therefore, PSG must be able to overcome the gaps in the front lines due to Messi absence in the next two matches. I don't think PSG will waste the opportunity to win this season.

There are 5 more matches left where they can lock the title in the next 4 matches if they can win all the matches. I think psg is still pretty safe for now, they have mbappe for the current situation.
In the end Messi was not allowed to compete in two weeks by the PSG management because of his indiscipline, I doubt PSG's appearance on the field if they did not play Messi, because to be honest Messi is a big contributor for PSG to carry out attacks and produce goals compared to other players. It's a good decision to discipline his troops but I have doubts about PSG's results without Messi.

There are a few things that I don't think can be compared in this regard.
Mbappe is indeed a good player but comparing him to Messi and saying Messi doesn't contribute to PSG is something that I think is wrong because if he didn't then he wouldn't have top assists at this time.
--snip--
It's quite disheartening to see that Messi is not receiving the kind of treatment he deserves from both the fans and the authorities at PSG. It looks like there's a bias towards Mbappe, where he receives all the credit when PSG wins, but Messi gets blamed when they lose. This kind of favoritism of-course will create an unhealthy atmosphere. However, it's undeniable that Messi has always significant influence on the game whenever he has played.
Things like this are nothing new at PSG because they have been like this from the start.
But when talking about Mbappe this is too linked in my opinion. Messi's problem is only with PSG, but indeed he has more to do with Mbappe, whether it's in terms of performance or treatment, but basically the main problem, the focus must remain on Messi and PSG should be.
It's true that at the moment Messi is also doing the wrong thing by taking a holiday and of course this is considered an disciplinary action but with the treatment of PSG and the fans I don't think this can be justified either.

Messi still plays professionally with the skills he has. doesn't care about the fans' response when he's on the pitch. when he was trusted to play Messi still showed his best game.
fans are too obsessed with their big hopes that are very difficult to achieve. and Messi fell victim to that hope. if Messi is going to leave the squad, we'll see how PSG will look for other players to blame them again in the future when their expectations are no longer met.

The second is that when talking about Messi's contract I see that the root of the problem is when he doesn't want his salary to be cut 25 percent from his initial salary, instead of asking for a raise. This is obviously something different but indeed PSG intend to cut Messi's wages because it affects their financial fair play so they decided on that.

Glad to see that PSG was doing it. PSG will be playing without messi. Let's see how strong PSG without him or PSG may life the ban as if the club is very close to the next match. Since messi's contract will be ended very soon and i think that messi is doing what he wanna do.
As far as i know if messi get three sanctions in total

1. PSG is not allowing him to train with the club
2. PSG is banning from playing in the league 1 for two consecutive weeks
3. PSG will not pay his salary for two consecutive weeks when he is still banning by the club.

I think that if it will be a wise decision for lionel messi to join with al hilal. It will be an easy task for him to play in arabian league rather than waiting for the uncertain decision by barcelona regarding his future.
Barcelona has no money to pay him anymore. Messi must accept the reality. Barcelona has very big debt that impossible to be paid in a short time.

Messi visited Saudi Arabia to promote Saudi Arabia's tourism. But he did not feel the need to take any permission from the PSG management. And this is probably why Messi has been banned by PSG management for two weeks for breaching club discipline. And he will not be able to play any match in the club's jersey during these two weeks. He cannot even participate in training.

I think Messi has some conflict with PSG management. But if this conflict escalates, it is certain that Messi will not be with the PSG management next season. So indirectly PSG will not be affected? In my opinion, it would have been better for both Messi and PSG if Messi was fined instead of banned.

Lionel Messi is going to be banned for two weeks, PSG authorities have given such a ban for traveling to Saudi Arabia without the permission of the PSG club. Due to this ban, he will not be able to participate in any activities of the PSC club and will not receive any financial benefits.

In addition to the ban, they have decided not to renew their contract with PSG, according to French action media outlet Lequip. As a result, Messi no longer has PSG.

Messi last played for BSG on Sunday and on Monday he applied to PSG authorities for a trip to Saudi Arabia, but PSG coach Christophe Galtier denied his request due to the team's practice. But without getting a permit, Messi went to Saudi Arabia with his family. This is basically why PSG banned him. His ban will see him miss PSG's next two matches

He is the country's tourism ambassador. The Argentine star traveled to Saudi Arabia for the second time with this.

Toulouse vs Lens
The winning result from Monaco has been makes Lens is very confident to faced this match and they have good opportunities to wided their points gap with the team below them Monaco but Toulouse too has been change became an tough team recently and their mentally were strong because they want to avoid relegation zone and besides that Toulouse has just made a history with beat Nantes in France cup and it makes they are the champion of 2023 for this competition
This is hard match for Lens and i know from positions Toulouse is far below them but Toulouse recent performance makes me doubt Lens can able to beat this team today especially Lens will not playing with full team because i saw some of players got injured such as Deiver Machado and Salis Abdul Samed who got suspension after received red card from the match against PSG and although Lens is the favourite but i was thinking Toulouse will not easily to beat and probably today Toulouse can surprising us and stole 1 point from this match and draw option has high odds @3.90
In this match, Lens needs full points to keep the distance from Marseille, which is 4 points behind. that means, Lens will aim to win over the home team. that way, Lens is only 1 point away from Marseille if he wins this match. the following week, Lens will meet against Marseille. the scenario is, Franck Haise will continue to try to bring his team to win the remaining match after match to chase an automatic ticket to the Champions League. especially in the previous week, Lens was able to overthrow AS Monaco with a landslide score of 3-0.
Meaning, Lens is in high confidence to come up with a slick performance. as for several injured players such as Wuilker, Jimmy Cabot, and Salis Andul Samed, it seems that it will not have a serious impact on their performance. after all, during the match against Monaco, these players were also absent in that match. for Deiver Machado, it looks like he has no problems with injuries and will most likely start this game.
As for Toulouse, the home team just won the Coupe de France final win over Nantes last Saturday. with this result, it seems that Toulouse has a strong drive and motivation to appear and provide fierce resistance to Lens in this match. so, it looks like the match will take place quite tough. referring to the available odds, it looks like betting on Lens is the ideal choice with odds @1.67. but to avoid risk I will bet on under 3 goals. I guess, the more ideal option.

There is basically no other option for Lens but to win. I don't think they can afford to lose this match or even draw. At the very least, they will need to do that in order to finish in second place. If they win this match they will only have a difference of one point with the team that is ahead of them. So with a win, it looks very likely for them to compete very closely for the second position. I still doubt that they will actually be able to finish in the second position. The reason for this is that Marseille has been playing really well lately.

I don't think PSG would be very weak in Messi's absence for one match. They are still advantageous for the league championship a lot and they should be going for it anyway. I'm aware of their unbalanced results and performances but they are still PSG. It isn't easy for any other team to compete with PSG at the same level now. But Galtier must be going away from this team by the end of the season anyway though.

In case of seeing Messi and Neymar both leaving in the summer it will be a big renovation process for PSG. Because it won't be easy to catch the same kind of chemistry with some other players and Mbappe. Right now these three players have a great understanding of each other. The only problem is actually with the management style of the players.

I'm sure Messi got enough money after he traveled to Saudi Arabia. I mean there should be a benefit for him when he goes to another country, otherwise, what is the reason for him to travel this long distance. Traveling famous people to other countries can have benefits for that country and they can have tourists because of that, On the other hand, PSG was right to be unhappy about this travel because this can make Messi lose focus in the next games.
