PSG has a two-point advantage after Marseille drew their game against Reims. The League is still open because there are still more games to play. Marseille was able to buy a few players and is expected to give PSG a strong competition. But in terms of quality players, technical team and financial support PSG has the advantage.
Yes, that's right, Marseille's performance is actually quite improved from last season, at least at the beginning of this season, they were in 2nd position. However, in addition to the number of points being 2 different, the number of goals is still lower than PSG, and quite far. Maybe because yesterday PSG just won the match against Montpellier with a score of 6 - 0 without reply.

Google/ligue1

And what's see? What makes interesting is that Greenwood becomes the top scorer so far in Ligue 1. Man United must see this, again and again, like this.

It's just that next week, they also have to play against Nice, who were in the top 5 last season. This certainly won't be easy for Marseille. If they can get a full 3 points, then this will maintain their position in runner up, and advance the race to catch up with PSG.

The reality is that PSG is so good that most of their bench players are still better than many of their opponents, which is why it is not really that complicated to keep this going, we should think about getting better results in most cases and betting on them is easy but usually wasteful since odds are not that great. I would say betting on Marseille or Monaco is a lot better because they do win quite often and they do have better odds that profit better too.
Marseille will beat PSG, Greenwood is really like a beast when he play for Marseille, Manchester United will regret for release him. The most interesting is, Marseille is full of new players that signed in 2023 and 2024, but they can perform like a team that already have 4-5 years chemistry.

I really doubt Monaco will beat PSG, they're not make many change in their squad.

PSG will play Marseille at the end of October, and until then they will try to be as close to PSG as possible. But despite a good game, they have already lost points in the match with Reims, so who knows what else can happen during this time. Marseille can afford to fully focus on Ligue 1, but I am not sure that this will help them to compete with PSG, if they are already losing points even without a face-to-face confrontation. And the match with Lille showed that they will not be able to become worthy opponents for them either, despite the away match it was an easy victory for PSG.
Even top teams have terrible days. PSG arent invincible, and the Champions League will put them under strain. PSG wants the big prize, therefore they may rest their stars in Ligue 1. Marseille must act there. Keep the pressure on, stay close. Marseille must be ready to strike when PSG slips, which they will.

Lets not dismiss them yet. This season is long, so anything may happen. Marseille needs constancy. They must keep grinding, build up points, and capitalize when PSG turns to Europe. This is a marathon, not a sprint. And the Ligue 1 title race might be exciting.
Honestly, for years they have been trying to win the UCL and failing, and still winning the league anyway. I am not saying that they will do the same now, but there is a potential that they may not really rest that many players or even when they rest they are good enough.

Give all before death
Marseille has been strong, but PSG is quite a different beast. They possess the money, the experience, the depth. Their design calls for winning on several fronts

Yes, PSG's team is a little leaner this year, but they still outclass every Ligue 1 team. Marseille has to be opportunistic, seize PSG's mistakes. More crucially, though, they should be self-oriented. Create a team capable of competing week in, week out, not only when PSG falishes

Clearly, this season will be about PSG. Marseille's work, however, goes beyond mere chasing of them. It's to build the foundation for a true challenge. Consistency is the secret. Create a team capable of annual PSG push, not only during off-season

PSG are still the favourites to win this year's league but what happened in Bundesliga last season reminds us that football is unpredictable. Bayern Munich had all the support but they were displaced by Bayer Leverkusen. However, Roberto De Zerbi's target should be to qualify for at least the Europa League. They had a disappointing season last year when they ended in the eighth position, so going to Europe next season will be a great achievement.

However, for me, the other team that looks more convincing is Monaco, which always gives its best performance even though it always fails to compete with PSG, but Monaco is always a positive view for me. Marseille can be one of the stable teams but sometimes it makes me worried when betting on this team. Because last season Marseille made us all worried when they started the season a little badly but got better in the second half of last season.

AS Monaco has always been the best challenger for PSG, there is no doubt in my words. Almost every season in the last 4 seasons, AS Monaco has always been in the top 3 of the Ligue 1 standings (in the 2022/23 season they are in 6th place). For Marseille, we were disappointed and doubtful of them when betting, but I think we have to give them another chance this season, since Greenwood's arrival, they look different.
Monaco's consistency is still one of the best so far and maybe one day it can pay off. For now it feels like they will only remain PSG's companion at the top and that's nothing more than winning the title. Monaco is like Ajax or Dortmund who can always produce quality players but unfortunately most of them leave to improve their careers.

Talking about Marseille, it feels like this season will belong to them and unlike before when they were always tied up in the middle of the table, this time they will try to compete more strongly and I hope that will disturb PSG. Ligue 1 will be easier to enjoy if this competition always produces different champions every year and can we hope that this will change this season? considering that in the last few seasons we had hoped for that but unfortunately PSG were unstoppable.

Consistency is still a problem for Marseille that has not been resolved but for this season we still can't judge whether they will be better or not. While Monaco has indeed become a team that in the last few seasons has been able to finish in the top 3 but they have not been able to put pressure on PSG in the title race even for this season there seems to be no significant changes made to make their team much stronger so what happened since last season is also likely to happen this season so for Ligue 1 there will be no team that can compete fiercely with PSG.

From the market value of players owned by PSG, we can easily guess why they will continue to dominate Ligue 1, with or without star players. PSG real target is to win the Champions League trophy, automatically with the squad they have built, winning the Ligue 1 trophy will be easier. Marseille, Monaco, Lille, Brest and all other Ligue 1 contestants will indeed put pressure, but in my opinion they can only do it temporarily. Entering the second half of the season, we can see the standings formed again with a point difference, and PSG is at the top.
Well it's obviously clear PSG has got one of the best squads in the whole of France but when we talk about dominance, it may not have a perfect relativity with players market value because there are chances a player can be of a very high market value and upon transfer to their new team they face decline, sometimes some other factors can play in initially but in the future they could get better so my point is, PSG may not dominate all through but may still win the league title and may as well dominate and still win the league title not because they have got an expensive squad but maybe because they have good quality players in their squad that's above that others have got.

PSG is in good form but today's match is challenging for PSG. Lille is a renowned team of Ligue 1. The team is performing well in this season as well. Lille won the first two matches. Lille will not want to lose today's home match. I think the team will try to share the points in the match. Lille will be happy if they can get 1 point against PSG.

Lille is a strong team but PSG's past record against this team is very good. PSG have won four of their last five matches against Lille. PSG team has not lost a single match. PSG have played very well in the first two matches this season as well and managed to win by a big margin. Luis Enrique's goal continues his winning streak. He will be looking to cement his place at the top of the table at the start of the season.

No team can score in 20 minutes yet. However, PSG's players managed to make two excellent attacks. PSG players are putting Lille players under pressure. Hopefully PSG will be able to score in the first half.

At the end of the first half, the PSG team managed to take a 2-0 lead. And I'd say if PSG's luck isn't too bad then there's no chance they'll lose this match. In the first half we saw the dominance of PSG. Despite Lille's home match, the team is unable to put up any resistance against PSG. Lille players had only 2 shots with 35% ball possession in the first half. It is also unlikely that Lille will dominate the match in the second half.

Vitinha scored the first goal from the penalty spot. Vitinha scored the goal in the 33rd minute of the match. And just 3 minutes later Barcola's goal gave PSG a 2-0 lead. PSG won the last match against Montpellier by a huge margin of 6-0. In today's match too I predict PSG to win by at least 2 goals. PSG's players look very confident.
PSG's last match was against LOSC and in this match too PSG beat this team by a big margin. PSG started this season more aggressively than last season. The difference between last season and this season is that last season there was only Mbappe, this season there is no Mbappe. Although Mbappe is an important player in their team, we never said or thought that it would be difficult for PSG to win the France League title without Mbappe. We know that apart from Mbappe, the players PSG have can definitely help PSG win the France League title without much effort, but the biggest concern is the Champions League. With such a good team, this team does not have much experience of doing well in the history of the Champions League, so with this less strong team in comparison, nothing good can be expected from this team this season.
I think you are wrong. Paris Saint-Germain players have a lot of experience. Especially the attacking line consists of players who played important matches in Europe and in national teams. All of them had good careers before Paris Saint-Germain. That is why I have hope that they can be successful in the Champions League. Of course, I cannot say that they will be champions, but I think they have a chance to reach the quarter finals and above.
Last season you will have seen how much Mbappe contributed to PSG's semi-final in the Champions League, but this season, Mbappe is not there and we have not seen any other star players brought to PSG as a substitute. Maybe it is wrong for us to expect too much from the Champions League. Dembele must be important in the attack line but there is no room to expect too much from the other players who play the role of striker or finisher. And the Champions League is a very competitive tournament, we may now feel that PSG is doing well in the France League one by one and they are scoring goals but the Champions League opponents will not be as easy as the France League authorities in terms of how to defend goals before scoring against them. You have to plan and enter the field.  PSG's journey to the Champions League may end in the Super Sixteen or the Quarter Finals.

Ligue 1 teams are not that strong this season except PSG. However, teams such as Monaco, Marseille and Lille have battled PSG for the title in the past. But this season these teams are not strong enough. And their performances have been erratic at the start of the season. Apart from PSG, no other team has won three matches yet. However, Marseille, Lens and Monaco are still unbeaten. And the Lille team won two and lost against PSG.
In a first season with without-Mbappe-PSG, if other clubs in Ligue 1 can not beat PSG and take the trophy, they will need many more seasons to do this. Because it's a big change in PSG and if they waste this season, a next season PSG will adapt better to play without Mbappe and be able to continue their domination in France.
This season is a biggest chance for other French clubs to take advantage of this big player resource loss in PSG, to beat this giant and make Ligue 1 less boring after many years under PSG domination.

We know that there has been a major change within PSG's squad. The best player of the squad Mbappe is not with their squad. But as a result of this, do we see the deterioration of PSG's performance? PSG have played three matches this season. And the performance of PSG players in all three matches was very good. PSG won all three matches. This shows that Luis Enrique has been able to stabilize this team. While the squad lacks any star players, Enrique's squad has a number of talented players who are capable of performing well. So PSG will probably dominate Ligue 1 this season as well.

PSG's management is very rich so they can spend a lot of money and build a strong squad. No other team in Ligue 1 spends as much money and builds a strong squad as PSG. This is why we see PSG dominate every season. PSG easily won the Ligue 1 title.
They are rich but they have restrictions from financial law and their transfer strategy seems to be changed entirely in two latest summer transfer seasons. PSG no longer seriously chased star players with very high transfer costs and lucrative salary demand from players. They are still playing well in Ligue 1 but this strategic change obviously gives other clubs in France more chances to beat PSG.

It is true that PSG management has changed their tactics this season. In the last few seasons they have spent a lot of money building up the squad. This season PSG spent 59.92 million on Neves in midfield and 50 million on winger Doue. Besides, the team spent 40 million on defender Pacho. All three are young players. So maybe PSG management can sell these players at a higher price in future.

to be honest make I also really doubt if PSG will be able to win the Champions League this season.

That's what makes a team the best in the world, of course, in the UCL, but another thing is what they can show in everything that a local league means, Ligue 1 is good, yes, it has an acceptable level of football, but they have to be much stronger, better in every sense, if they continue like this the fact of not winning the UCL will frustrate the owner, the owner has always wanted a UCL, of course it is the dream of every team, but this one that has had the resources and has not been able to do it even at its best, so, I think that if they had had Luis Enrique when that trio was there that was scary, would they have won a UCL ? And at this point I see it difficult for PSG, but not impossible.

In addition, the choice to bring Greenwood, who is not really welcome back in the EPL, is actually a good choice so far because 3 matches with 5 goals in my opinion is an extraordinary thing because half of the goals Marseille recorded in these 3 matches (10 goals) were thanks to Greenwood, which of course this is a good thing.

The Red Devils has made a huge mistake by sending a great talent like Greenwood away from the team. This guy is playing like a goal machine these days indeed.  Cheesy  He is a RW but it doesn't matter. He is performing like a striker. Marseille has signed him for only 26 million euros. It is like free considering how much teams are paying for talented players in general.

If Marseille achieve some trophy this season or have a strong finish in a tournament, I'm quite confident he will play the biggest role. Maybe even after one season Marseille might have difficulties in keeping him for longer.  Grin
This cannot be said to be entirely the fault of Mancehster United because after all what happened to Greenwood we must be aware that regardless of the results he is guilty or not there will be a lot of people who will sneer and even shout at Greenwood when forced to be at Manchester United so actually this decision must still be taken even though it is forced.

But on the other hand we can see that with De Zerbi as a coach and Greenwood as a new targetman for Marseille, they are very good in terms of performance to date.
De Zerbi's foresight in making schemes also makes Marseille players more alive for now and that is a good thing because with this there will at least be another competitor for PSG even though they are still favorites for Ligue 1.

There are still 5 matches before they meet each other, so it is possible that in those 5 matches both clubs will experience changes, either for the better or otherwise, whether it happens to Marseille or Paris Saint Germain, although it is unlikely for Paris Saint Germain to decline because their strength is better than almost all the clubs in Ligue 1. Until the last 3 weeks, Marseille has been quite promising, especially in their front line. However, they did that when facing a club that is not like Paris Saint Germain. At least that is a good capital for Marseille in the following weeks. I also hope they can improve even more, I don't dislike Paris Saint Germain, but I want to see the competition be even tighter in Ligue 1.
Thinking it's unlikely for PSG to decline sounds funny to me because before the next fixtures between them and Marseille, they have got probably a champion's league fixture aswell as other league games which could possibly wear them out so it's very likely a decline can happen of most probably they get to have a bad day and Marseille turns out lucky. I'm not nor saying it's not possible, for PSG to still maintain their form without a decline but there's so much ahead to give them an unlikely chance except the coach will have a very dynamic strategy he hope to use so as to keep that in check. Interestingly, both teams happens to be tops in ligue 1 currently.

Marseille so far is still showing their consistency in avoiding defeat in their matches, so for now they are still quite close to PSG who are at the top of the standings with 9 points, the match will of course be a very crucial match considering Marseille chance to seize the top of the standings is to beat PSG in the later match although it seems that it will be a difficult thing to do,  Breaking PSG's dominance in Ligue 1 is not an easy task for any rival team coach but I hope that De Zerbi this season will be able to bring a new color to Marseille to at least make  PSG journey to win the title a little more difficult than last season.
The tight schedule owned by PSG should be well utilized by the current rival teams, considering that the depth of the squad owned by PSG is no longer as  capable as the previous season, so it is likely that PSG's concentration will be divided later when they have to play in ligue 1 and also overcome the pressure in the Champions League.
You seem to hope that other teams will be able to beat PSG at all costs, even though PSG also has a good squad to be more likely to ruin any plans of its competitors. No team has really been as consistent as PSG in Ligue 1 so far, so even though Marseille looked good at the start of the season, they haven't proven they can beat PSG.

PSG is a team that can continue its title dominance in Ligue 1 and I think they are the favorites to do it. Other competitors can certainly put pressure on PSG, but PSG, which has been quite good so far, is unlikely to sit back and accept defeat. Luis Enrique as an experienced coach can certainly help PSG secure the title again this season, even if PSG is very preoccupied with winning the Champions League.

All Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs will be OBLIGED by contract to promote Qatar Tourism or any other Qatari body.
Clubs in the French top division will earn €730k each while Ligue 2 clubs will earn €130k.

So it is no more Ligue 1, lol, successfully turned into a geopolitics get together..  Wink Now the whole clubs were paid for being this shit and PSG could steamroll the Ligue Grin

Yeah and maybe someone needs to tell them that they should try to improve the quality of the competition in the league instead of just farming money. Because for a long period of time, the Ligue 1 competition has been the same. No team is actually improving and nobody is able to compete at the same level as PSG. And that is probably the reason why nobody is actually interested in watching any league matches in France. It's like PSG is the only team that is being backed and that’s the way it should be according to the authorities.

Every teams will drop points at certain stages during the season, it has happened to Marseille at this beginning stage of the season, and it could happen to PSG at any time too. Unless they are going to play unbeaten in the league this season, which I think it's very unlikely. What Marseille have to do is to make sure that the gap between them and PSG is not that wide, so that when PSG will start having a difficult time in the season they will have the opportunity to close the gap between them. There is still a lot of games to play and Marseille should just focus on their games. PSG will definitely drop points especially when the Champions league starts. That's the time that Marseille will use and catch up with them. Everyone knows that PSG wants to win the Champions league at all cost, so I believe they will prioritize winning the champoins league than the league title.
Expectations for Marseille are quite high this season, especially after they appointed De Zerbi as their new manager, and successfully recruited Mason Greenwood from Man United. I think these two deals have changed Marseille face in the competition for the Ligue 1 trophy this season, they are expected to be a team that can suppress PSG dominance at the top of the standings. Of course, the gap in PSG strength with other contestants is still very visible until now, including Marseille. However, considering that Marseille only focuses on domestic competitions, they can take advantage of the tight match schedules of teams participating in European competitions.

At least Marseille consistency can make Ligue 1 more competitive, revive the competition in the top four, and disrupt PSG dominance so that they are not alone in leading the top of the standings. We know that PSG has a fairly high chance of retaining the trophy, but it is not impossible for other candidates to become champions too. The miracle that happened in the Bundesliga last season could happen in Ligue 1 this season, because the ups and downs of performance will definitely come to every team, even though PSG has a much better squad depth than other contestants.

Marseille was quite good at the beginning of the season with all the new things this season, but it is necessary to think that their consistency will continue to be in a good enough situation, where they also often steal goals in matches and that makes me less sure whether he will continue to impress fans.

Regarding the record with PSG is bad I think if PSG continues in the current state and they meet again it will not change and the record is even worse because it can not beat PSG at home again, it will happen, Luis Enrique really gets his light back to be able to dominate League 1 this season.
I don't think Marseille will be a big problem for PSG in their next meeting. From my observations, trying to compare their performances currently, Marseille is not as strong as PSG. PSG may be playing in different competitions, just like Marseille, but the only difference is that PSG may wish to focus more on the Champions League, as they are always eager to win it. However, I don't think it will distract them much, as they still have quality players on the bench that can form another good squad. In fact, even if Marseille comes close to PSG on the table, with not much difference in points, it will still be hard for Marseille to take the top spot from PSG.PSG has been the team dominating Ligue 1, and I think it will be rare for any other team to take the title from them easily, because even looking at the teams in Ligue 1, none can spend as much money to sign quality players as PSG.

In fact, Greenwood is a player who basically graduated from Manchester United's academy and thus, it means that Manchester United did not sign Greenwood from another team before. So, there is no big cost that Manchester United to have Greenwood because before too, the fact that Greenwood was loaned to Getafe until the end of Manchester United sold him to Marseille. But indeed, who would have thought that Greenwood was still young but Greenwood managed to quickly make a big contribution to Marseille at the start of this season.

Because after all, from the three matches Marseille has played, that Greenwood has always managed to score goals in each match, and make Marseille currently also in second place under PSG in the Ligue 1 standings. With the good results that Greenwood has at Marseille, it proves that Manchester United have never succeeded in utilizing the potential and great talent of the young players they have. Because after all, previously Manchester United also failed when they still had Sancho because in fact, Sancho had a good performance at Dortmund and at this time, Manchester United's failure was proven when Greenwood managed to have a very good performance with Marseille.
