The future of Altcoin is indeed hopeless, because the dominance of Bitcoin continues to strengthen, making Altcoin no longer seen by investors or traders. But I personally believe that Altcoin which has a high volume in CMC, will remain a Bitcoin companion, only trashy Altcoin will die.
This market is a focused place to make a profit and if any coin has a good development, that coin will be interested by many investors. Currently, the trend of altcoin investment is very small but if you can find a good project for long-term investment, consider using 30% of your assets to buy. I think any altcoin will be risky in this volatile market but if you have a good investment strategy you will always be the winning investor.

That would be good. But how to define this “good new altcoin”? Since 2018, the vast majority of altcoins have depreciated greatly, regardless of how good they are at first glance. Looking at how the altcoin market is changing, faith in everything except BTC and ethereum is lost.

They have different reason why they shift their investment into bitcoin and ethereum. Those 2 cryptocurrencies are very strong and they have been in the top rank for many years. If you already have good altcoin you do not need to shift in bitcoin or in ethereum because if they are also good altcoin expect that they will also have good future. Altcoin will still survive even people keep on investing on those 2 cryptocurrencies. As long there are good new altcoin it will totally survive in the future.

the charts looks like wanna going up. Hope 2020 will be the year of crypto again just like 2018. I think alt season will coming first because bitcoin's all time high is really hard to achieve since we know many investors left crypto since the big drop, except bitcoin has something interesting that can bait the investors again

Bitcoin is the main pillar of this market and altcoins are its smallest. BTC can not continue without altcoins, they are without BTC. The market is open to everyone and anyone can create altcoins as they wish. Giving big value to eth and btc does not mean that it is not given to others. Maybe just a little less. While btc and eth are the only ones in the market, make sure the market will not get that much attention.
Based on my investment experience, altcoins are only suitable for making money and don't trust their promises because after the price increase, the coin will tend to decrease more.

Strict competition will certainly make many altcoins die, of course, only coins supported by the team and big money can survive, I hope that after many coins die, crypto can be great and accepted like fiat.

It is not just bitcoin and ethereum, there are other altcoins that are on the top of the market cap that are worthy of investment. Bitcoin and ethereum are one of the best alternative since both are on the top, but aside that there are a lot of altcoins there that are also gaining as time goes by. As time goes by investors will get smarter and would stop chasing over altcoins over their price. I think projects with solid foundation, real use case and product would last in the market and those coin who survived due to hype will slowly phase out and die.
It is okay to have a bear season for alts that is lasting a lot. It is good because the ones which survive will be the best altcoins. Their future is determined in these hard times such as the halving of Bitcoin. Altcoins may suffer more until the halving.

I do worry about anonymous cryptocurrencies and their future. They are delisted on many exchanges. Arguments say that anonymous cryptocurrencies are used to launder money and other illegal activities, and also make it impossible to identify their owners. Special attention is paid to it due to reports of interest in this cryptocurrency by the North Korea government that juses it to avoid sanctions.
This was bound to happen. Once in a while just ask yourself. What purpose do altcoins serve?? Nothing. They are just tools used by the big whales to manipulate the market in their side and then looting money from the masses. They are just trading tools now and nothing else. So i am pretty much against altcoins which don't serve any purpose.
Altcoins' trust rate really dropped down compared to the previous years. Investors focused only with top coins due to losses because of holding altcoins and bad experiences because of scam projects. I don't think altcoins especially new coins could go more. Investors are switching to Bitcoin and Ethereum that's why most ICOs and IEOs fail. However, there are still a few numbers of risk-takers of investors who invest with altcoins. I just hope that at least some of altcoins these days would survive.

You're right . This market will never accept bad projects because these are projects that are not worth the investment and the risk is extremely large in the crypto market. Currently the best way to make a profit is to focus on the Top 100 coins because these are the coins that are most interested in people and if Bitcoin increases, all those altcoins will also increase.but we can see from 1-5 always the same coin, this means they are indeed the ones who will last in the long run.

It is about time, the altcoin market will also recover from the market crash. do you remember the bitcoin price last year? bitcoin itself went through this and very soon the altcoins too will recover. I'm a firm believer in altcoins and I know it is about time the altcoins market will recover also.

and only a solid and reliable alts will survive, the rest will going to die soon or later
so, you must pick the right alts to invest, rather than follow the hype in this industry,
but remember always DYOR and do not put all your eggs in one basket to reduce the risk on crypto investments'because we can't remove the risk

Actually I do prefer on having on this way rather than on a market that had been flooding out by alts.We don't need hundreds or thousand of it yet as we can see that most of them doesn't offer something new or just simply copying each others projects without any usage at all or simply say they are just total crap.Why we would mind too much if these alts would go zero? 3-5 Crpytos is already enough.
Development is a must, if there's no development for Ethereum and continuous upgrade to make transactions better for bitcoin, everyone would be looking for a better coin for transfers and transactions. But as much as they're already established, maintaining it is the other key for it to progress. Otherwise, the future of altcoins is unknown for most but for some there's a certain future that awaits.
That seems to have a huge market play. I supposed to think that Vitalik will do something new and another strategical marketing design to help in uplifting its price. There is a strong market competition around and I know project owners has started to settle it down before bringing them in the bottom line. What we would like to see is to have a strong market development that could sustain in a long run not just in a year or two. Many will start to discuss it again and look for something else that's better than the usual.
