Yes I agree, but I feel only those who has black money or someone who has much more knowledge than us who feels that altcoin will bloom again will invest into altcoin just like early investors of crypto who invested into bitcoin when no one thought it even exists and as far as crypto investment is concerned it's always a risk investment. If scammers are kept at bay then we can again win the trust of investors to invest into altcoin and at the sometime the developers needs to come up with unique technology.

You are very wrong from the beginning. First bitcoin users didn`t invest anything in bitcoin, first bitcoins were free, bitcoin didn`t have sale or ico, or anything else, it was free for people who mined it with their simple computers. You think it was easy decision to invest in bitcoin in 2011, 2012? You think they knew that price will be so high in 2019? Take a look at comments from this early days of bitcoins and you will find out that risk was bigger than it`s now.
I feel that most of the people wish to get rich, but they invested in 2017 when prices were on top. Since then prices are declining and those people are losing faith and money, they blame everyone else for that. There is a lot more about it, crypto world is full with fools who invest without thinking, just cause they heard something, somewhere about some nameless coin or token.
And scams will never stop. Simply there are too many sheep`s around, and as long as there are sheep`s there will be wolfs, crypto is not an exception.

Altcoins' trust rate really dropped down compared to the previous years. Investors focused only with top coins due to losses because of holding altcoins and bad experiences because of scam projects. I don't think altcoins especially new coins could go more. Investors are switching to Bitcoin and Ethereum that's why most ICOs and IEOs fail. However, there are still a few numbers of risk-takers of investors who invest with altcoins. I just hope that at least some of altcoins these days would survive.

now it seems that so many altcoins are dead and left by their owners.
I think, no more than 20 altcoins will survive in the future.
I am not aware of 20 altcoin but I think bitcoin is the only coin  that could have bright future. ETH is also good but bitcoin is number one. It is bright coin that has fair future more than other coins. Bitcoin is the best coin that we should invest right now as price is low but it will not be that longer, to make price high again just keep waiting with patience.

Altcoins are going down from my view. Just very few will survive the long hulI . I think what caused this is the scam project that was witnessed in the form of ICO. Many investors who lost their money are still skeptical to believe even the current IEO. They are seeing it as a wolf in a sheep clothing.

As the market becomes more saturated more users are turning towards the top two crypto coins and those who had already invested into other altcoins have starting shifting their funds towards Bitcoin and Ethereum as other altcoins have failed to capitalize the market. If this continues then how will altcoin survive? is it just the matter of time or something which altcoins need to work on by working on the missing link.

Crypto Market is usually driven by few big players. These whales pump coins which is then taken to moon by rest of the investors. Altcoin pump of 2017-18 was one example of this orchestrated pump. 1 sat coins like COLX were pumped to 70-100 sats by big holders of such coins. So the market we all have seen  in 2017-18 was not the genuine growth. Thus, it makes no sense to compare that market with the present one and get despaired. Altcoins still have lots of potential and these will surely grow in coming years but only invest in valuable coins, not shitcoins like 1 sat coins.

the thing that can be done is to survive with a project that they own. in this case, they need to develop their projects to be better, and needed. This is not a matter of price, because when a project has quality, people will need it, and make more requests that cause prices to rise again.

like binance, we know that currently, the price of BNB tokens is very high compared to the initial price. this is because of the quality of the token, and people's needs for that coin. so, when investors return to bitcoin and ethereum, altcoin can survive with their quality.

Well, I understand why investors behave like that, well it's clear because only these two coins are BTC and ETH that have a solid fundament, most of the altcoin today the idea is not needed publicly, or many people are traumatized by investing in new coins that are scam rated. maybe someday there will be a coin overtaking the top two coins. with a fresh idea, with strong fundamentals, with a careful and smart professional team, and most importantly the coin must understand what the market needs

Investors are afraid of the market conditions. Market conditions change everyday in a bad way. BTC does not give permission ant alt coins to go up. While BTC increasing, alt coins decreasing. While BTC decreasing, alt coins decreasing. While BTC stable alt coins decreasing. Most of the investors afraid of putting money on alt coins. If they decided to enter, they are using strict stop losses. Alt coins can not get the momentum which they need for going up.
In todays marker conditions investing on Top ranked projects are secure. And as you mentioned strong projects must be selected for investment.

the more people give up and sell altcoins the faster it will pump because the institutions are those who are buying them

I can't even believe it and what's an institution? I never heard if there was an institution even try to buy these altcoins. It looks like you are ont hearing it correctly. The institution will always try to invest in an investment which fully regulated and guaranteed by the government and regulators.
It looks like there is no correlation between people who gave up with the institution.

The survival of the altcoin world is more individual rather than group. There is actually no danger to the whole altcoin world. The danger is found in each and every altcoin depending on how they are developing. Ethereum is not facing the dangers that Trumpcoin is facing. In the same way that Litecoin is not experiencing the problems currently experienced by Boobscoin. These shitcoins will die. Well, many of them died already. The ones that will remain are those that have actual use and product.

Nope you are wrong ,since bitcoin is now dropping capitalization dominance this means meany investors are getting out of investments and moving towards other alts because they find reasonable to put money in fast moving coins than bitcoin

Look at the chart now it’s been altcoins are staying greens when bitcoin can’t even move up to 1% growth so with those reason I believe that you are just exaggerating about the fact but the truth it isn’t the other way around is what happening

in the future bitcoin will still survive and can be a very strong and very expensive coin, but for altcoin this depends on the project being developed, when altcoin still has a request or there are still using altcoin as an alternative transaction then altcoin can still survive and this only certain altcoins can survive.

You're right . This market is in the purge phase,so discontinued projects will be removed from this market and this is to be expected. I don't like investing in projects that don't update investors because if the coin goes down, they won't know why. Now the market is in a downtrend and this year more than 1,000 coins will be removed from this market. Of course you will still find but the volume of transactions will probably be zero.

alternative coins future become very unpredictable mate due to some factors that  keep existing  within the market .such scam projects and whales that keep manipulating the growth  after small pump.  On this case we have no idea what will happen on some sort of good altcoins in the market. because you know the manner of some greedy whales and etc were getting worst wherein seems they don't like to see the price go further again.  I don't know if the time still matter on this kind of situation .

I admit that there are many who have lost money when investing in new coins because the price continues to decline and there is no certainty and that I have experienced too. But I think there are also new potentially good coins and if we don't observe it we won't know which coins are potentially good because all the time will answer and the seriousness of the developer in developing the coins
so it's natural if every trader or investor wants to secure their money to old coins that have really good potential
Before investing, you need to research carefully and evaluate the community because this is the main reason why this project works well. If people tend to buy more then it's a coin not to be missed because the chances of you making profits from that coin are huge. I usually look for some good projects at the Binance exchange because this is an exchange that is often enjoyed by a lot of whales and any coin can increase in price if there's big news.

Good project is always good project, no matter if it is altcoin or not. Some altcoins do have utility purpose and I do not fear for them. For example Sia(SC) is good project, it lost its value in bear market, but I am not afraid for that project.

Almost all new altcoins have the same technologies and capabilities as top altcoins, and therefore these new altcoins will not be able to survive, but those new ones that appear with original and popular technologies will be able to survive and after some time will break into the top altcoins. One underrated aspect of big coins is the network effect. The reason why this is such a big deal is that technology can be copied from other cryptocurrencies to make Bitcoin better, but the network can't be copied from Bitcoin. It's good to read this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5190484

In the end, it probably depends on how quickly new cryptocurrencies can build their network before Bitcoin can copy their technology. Bitcoin is certainly slow and lumbering nowadays, but I wouldn't put it past the network to move quickly if needed.

The thing there is that there are so many Altcoins out there, all emanating from many failed projects. If there could be a way to clear out these shitcoins and we can have a very few with working projects, I believe those ones will do well alongside Bitcoin.
Newcomers into crypto don't even know about these other alts, except fro the top alts like ETH, XRP, BNB, etc. They just buy and invest into Bitcoin.
