Sad to see what happened in India today, seeing that bitcoin was widely adopted there but eventually the government banned it. Just hope the government will review this bitcoin so that it can be used again reliably.

Right now hearing is delayed (again!) to jan 15, 2019. We can expect more delays and I assume they will take negative stance.

This is kinda sad, especially for the Indians that are looking forward to fully engage in cryptocurrencies since the Government would finally take their final decision, but the problem is that the hearing is always being moved to another date, though I wish they would realize that having BTC in their country is a big help, India is a country that people are heavily relying on technology and I think that with Bitcoin being introduced there then the citizens of India would also take this as an advantage since they are very good at handling technology.

Those in India may need to leave the country and make investments offshore in places like Dubai or the United Kingdom. Even though it is somewhat restricted I think India can make great strides in improving its usage around the world.

No people in this world can stop bitcoin, it is here to stay and the digital currency is the future. The sooner the governments all over the world realize it the better for them. Cryptocurrency can be very beneficial for the economy for a country, so the governments don't want to miss this opportunity.
the Indian government must have started analyzing bitcoin, they think about the profit and loss if the state legalizes bitcoin, but we can predict that not too long the Indian government will facilitate the krypto traders, see a very fast world trade and crypto progress that cannot be prevented, then the Indian government must follow the flow of reform in the payment system, and must begin to open up to crypto.

What do you people think about the future of bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies in India under the current government policies? Shocked
I don't follow the news about cryptocurrencies in India too much, but I'm sure the future of cryptocurrencies in India will be the same as my country which will be very beautiful. India and also my country are developing countries, so the mindset and system are still far behind developed countries...

I am from Bangladesh. As a neighbor country i know that the current government is very conscious about BTC and crypto. Some of the bank set up ATM for BTC. This is a very good news. I hope the government will fully legalized BTC in future.

Sooner or later, the states that impose a ban on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will still have to decide on the implementation of cryptocurrency in payment systems, this is a matter of time

The first thing comes into my mind is bitcoin banned in india? Well i think if they open it up for the cryotocurrency in their country maybe it could give advantage and good future for bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry.

Even if Bitcoin is not banned there, it will be not widely used. Do not forget that Indians are mostly very poor people. They will hardly risk their money to invest it in BTC. Only a few guys, rich ones, will join the crypto market.

India is one of the populated countries in the world. It is very important country in the financial sectors especially digital currencies. Crores of people are involve in Bitcoin or digital currencies. So, India will be crucial in Bitcoin growth in the future if Indian Government will be flexible on Bitcoin.

India as a third world country will take a long time to accept bitcoin and other technological innovations, as their level of development does not allow to fully understand all the advantages and privileges of this system. The government will suppress as much as possible any possibility of free circulation of money on its territory until such time as it is no longer possible to control it.

The current situation is definitely unlucky in India, but I think the current government won't stay there forever and a new man will come who will change the situation as about crypto as about whole the country and modernization will reach every corner of the country.

So far, India is quite negative towards bitcoin. But the global trend is aimed at improving the opinion about bitcoin, so it is possible that India will change its skepticism towards cryptocurrency and will allow it on its territory.
