It's very easy to say but difficult to do. When you gamble it is very difficult for you to control your emotion, as most of the time you just get carried away.
This is so sad, gamblers should learn from this and make sure to really control there emotions not to be the same with Gary. 13 hours of gambling is just insane, his intention is good because he is trying to recover the money he lost but he totally forgot to take good care of his health and life, too much of something will really kill you.
That was desperate gambling, you have a problem if you gamble that long, and it can be seen that your life only evolves in gambling. If our life is fully focus in gambling, that would not result positive things to us as it's very rare to see someone who are profitable in gambling and these people who are profitable knows how to control their emotion, you cannot win if you are not smart, and if you are smart, you know how to manage yourself.
That is a sad story to hear, and I cannot imagine how it feels to play gambling for a long time. 13 hours sitting in the gambling game is not good for our health (this is the most important) and our money (this is the second important things). Gambling is part of the entertainment, so we need to treat it as for having fun only, and that person was made a wrong decision to stay in the gambling games in a long time.

Health is more important than money, yes this is sad because another gambler died because of over playing. Maybe 13hrs of playing is ok only if you still have the energy and you took your meal but if you skipped those just to chase your losses then this can be the result. Gamblers must be aware on this, its too risky to play continuously even if you are winning. your meals but also your mental conditions, being too engaged will stress you out to the point that you forget about everything.
Stop for a while and observe your judgement, play a little and control yourself.
It seems like he has an illness and seemingly he has a heart disease. I once did online gambling by spending a full day with playing poker and thankfully I did not have any disease even though ends up with lost and didn't leave a little money in my wallet. I cannot kill myself because I loose money in gambling and what is the used of life if one cannot control he or her emotions. It is a very bad way to life. Before you go into gambling it is over important that you have your set goals on were to get out in case the gambling is not good for you or go in your favor. I admit, I'm also addicted but not to the point that i'm going to end my life. Aside from luck, controlling your emotion is one of the key in gambling. Your ended up doing worst if you can't like raising your bets, not following your strategy, ended up lossing and mad. That's why others suggestion is only play what you can afford to lose.
I don't think he intend to end his life is just that he is too eager to recover his lost money thinking that he will be able to win the jackpot again. I believe that he is very addict already that he can't control himself and don't really care think about the consequences, all he think is to win and he thinks that if he will then he can win again but his body surrendered before he can even win.

Emotional control is very important if you don't want to experience the same story in the article. After all, from the start he had earned big money from gambling and maybe it was a strong emotion for him to continue gambling without having control. Thats true , dice games are plain but they are instant which makes them addictive but sports based games will take a long time to be finished which makes them less addictive .

It's really scary when I read news like that, he is very fed up with his game so emotionally he can't be controlled to win the game with a lot of losses he experiences, hopefully this becomes a learning for all of us to control all the games so they don't happen like him, key the main thing is patience and to always be able to control it anytime and anywhere and manage expenses and also beat, don't be too serious in playing if you have feelings it will be very helpful in the game.

Its very unhealthy, though most of the gamblers can play beyond that time and for sure most of them already experience to play whole day. This is the reason why Casinos are inside the Hotel because in case the gamblers need to rest they will just checked-in on the hotel inside. Thats because he was too greedy and addicted with gambling. When you read the link on OP,you can know if he was won $60k 2 years ago and after that he become addicted with gambling, then before he died, he took a loan and hoping to win again, but he lost it all and this is he left

This is a sad story but it's the reality, many people suffering from gambling because of their greed, once they hit the big number they tend to want more and more, and you can't blame anyone or asked anyone to stop the habit, you need to stop addiction from yourself, self control in gambling is an important role to prevent you from addiction
