This is probably the worst thing of them all, letting your kids starve when you're already below the poverty line, addiction definitely does take a toll not just on the addict but also the people around that person. That's probably the only skill that an addict that I admire the most, their ability to be able to find ways to make money to get their gambling fix on a daily basis, that's difficult to do in most people but these addicted people knows how to do it, it's a really good motivational thing I think that you shouldn't let an addict beat you in terms of hustling for money then you should be able to hustle like them too.
Oh, but that is already something of a very extreme case, but although addiction is related to that, personally I have always said that the things that cause addiction are very strong, we must attack those symptoms that define a addiction, because that can become a misfortune, but I say something, a person who knows that he has a family, that he has children and that he totally gives himself over to an addiction, well, it is something that should not be admitted, therefore when we are Seeing that the best option for things is to leave it up to that point for the family, it should be left up to that point. Not only is it irresponsible that the person acted, but he also lets the children become malnourished, that is something that should never be allowed. In fact, in all countries there are rescue organizations for children when they have irresponsible parents, it is better that they pass into the hands of the state and not let them die, because they have to take the children from that person.
Totally in agreement with you that it's an extreme case but we all know that there's really no uphill in someone's addiction journey, most of the time, it will always be a journey to the rock bottom if you don't plan on saving yourself and seeking help to cure your addiction. I guess an initiative combined with the concern of the people around that addict could've made some difference, child rescue can definitely play a big role in preventing those kids from suffering from starvation, that intervention could've helped the parents too because in the best case, they will receive help too in hopes of getting their children back or the worst case is that they receive a prison sentence for neglect.
And well, with respect to the mother, if she is not addicted, then she should take charge or do something quickly, get to work, help the children get their batteries together, because how else are they going to do it? You have to do something so that your children can get ahead, and if the woman can't, then unfortunately they have to let the state take charge, this is just what I have always said can be done, if this were to happen in my country, I think that The children would take it to the government home, it is not a good thing, but at least they are not left to die of hunger and that is something that is already good on that side, but you have to be very tactful when it comes to being in a casino and with obligations, I believe that there are things that are above a casino, of games, that is only what we must see, addictions something that we must be very careful of, that is why the best strategy should always be done is by having a total money to lose so that things do not get out of control.
The problem why I think that the mother didn't do that is because they're scared for the wellbeing of the children when they're left alone when their father who was an addict, it's easy for us to say things that would've helped those kids but we have to know that sometimes it's more difficult than it looks, it might be easy for us to say and think that we can do it because we're observers but we have to understand that theory is different with application.
