We should not just pray for having any of the two experience in such a way that it could affect us badly, having financial loss can put one in danger and debt, especially when there's no means to recover from the loss, and most people get into this because of the financial inadequacies they are been through which has also been the reason for them to think of acting to that extent, gambling addiction also will cause one to loose his money, but in this, you already know that you're gambling to have fun and risk either wining or loosing.
If gambling can be enjoyed then financial losses may not have a major impact. But when gambling turns into an addiction, a gambler will face a different situation as well as financial losses. The gambler will continue to gamble even after losing his money, which will affect the person to a greater extent than the loss of the money. Any addiction can affect people negatively. There will be no mistake in saying this in that direction. Addiction is certainly more harmful than financial loss. When a gambler loses financially, it can be recovered later, but the losses the gambler faces due to addiction cannot be compensated with money.

You are correct, if someone very young becomes addicted to gambling he or she can erase is dreams in life and go the route of gambling thinking that it will bring them everything they needed in this world.

When things start happening in a way that they don't expect, they might not quit, they might keep pushing harder until nothing works out like they wanted, and this could change them completely, starting all over again in the real world will be so hard to do.

Gambling messed with the mind and the way we think, only if you allow it, but if you are someone who already knows the odds of getting lucky in gambling, you ain't going to ever fall under the rug for gambling, I would rather get addicted to my career in the real world, as a fashionist but not gambling.

Any addiction has negative consequences for a person, but we are so organized that we always want more. This is what leads to problems. In my opinion, to learn how to get rid of addictions, you just need to learn to limit your desires. And to do this is actually not so difficult. I got rid of several addictions and right now I am in a struggle with myself and the desire to eat sweets, because of which my daily norm of energy value is significantly exceeded. A person is capable of a lot of things, if only the desire.

I am sure that if I had a problem with gambling, I would be able to overcome this addiction.

This means that there are many impacts of gambling addiction and it will not only destroy your financial situation but also destroy all aspects of your life, mental, psychological and family relationships or relationships with partners will be very likely to be destroyed when you are already an addicted gambler, and what is worse is when you are so desperate to live life that as we know that some are desperate to end their lives as a result of not being able to withstand all the pressure that occurs in addiction situations.

Therefore I think it is quite right to say that gambling is a choice, you will really be able to achieve a balance in terms of choosing when you don't focus too much on the winning opportunities that are there, because most gamblers who end up addicted always start by ignoring the possibility of risk which means they ignore the bad effects that exist in gambling so that consciously or unconsciously they end up with addicted gamblers, so it is recommended to choose when you are sober because then you will be sure to be able to see all sides rationally.

Gambling is full of risks, both to our financial situation and to the balance of our lives. because if a gambling activity is not managed as well as possible, then this will only have a negative impact which will lead to other negative impacts, or what is better known as the domino effect of a gambling addiction. There are quite a few people whose careers, jobs, families, relationships and lives have been destroyed just because of their carelessness in gambling.

Maybe when we just lose some money, we can find it again. However, when we lose time and the people around us and those we love, where do we look for it again, and how can we fix everything. Losing the trust of the people around us and the people we love is a bigger loss than just losing some money.
There would really be no risks if you do really just that let yourself be that mindful and responsible on the things you are dealing with. Gambling is surely that risky in the first place since you are really that risking your money fin the first place. We do know that the first thing that would be affected is with your finances and on the time that if it gets severe then other things would really be that affected as well and this is something normal.
This is why it would really be that best that you should really know on what you are doing because on the time that you do lose that control then it would really be entirely messes up your life.
Not only on financial aspects but also in other things like with those things mentioned. This is why dont let those things would really be mainly be affected.
Play gambling in moderation and this is something that you should really be minding on.
Sure, be a savvy player, but don't deceive yourself. The concept of mindfulness is irrelevant; what matters is the cold, hard reality of likelihood. The beast of gambling doesn't care about your control, yet you talk about moderation. To put it simply, it's all about winning and losing

Life's balance is fragile. In an instant, you can be riding high, and in the next, you can be riding low again. Bankruptcy ensues? This is very little of what's involved. Problems with relationships, mental health, or anything else can be triggered by gambling. Do you really believe you're in charge? Give it another thought. There's a precipice that, as you approach, you'll soon be slipping down. Get up! The focus should not be on playing it safe when gambling, but rather on identifying the illusion of control

For those who dance too close to the edge, gambling is a trap. Say what you want about management, but its about seeing the light it sheds on life. We tend to treat losses like simple numerical values, but you're absolutely true; thats not how they work. Trust, relationships, and those fleeting moments are priceless.

And here's the thing: we tend to forget that balance is key in all aspects of life, not just gambling. Realizing that certain things, once gone, leave a hole that no amount of money can fill is more important than trying to recover what we've lost. Recognizing the paradoxical reality that sometimes the best course of action is to just not play the game is at the heart of the matter. Control our priorities, values, and connections and not limit ourselves to gambling management. Because nobody wants to take the chance on losing their life when all we're actually doing is gambling with it.

Negative impression on children/ dependents: His addiction can corrupt the good intentions of the younger generation looking up to him for inspiration, they may grow up to see gambling as a way of life and follow the wrong footprints.
This is probably one of the worst side-effects of gambling addiction but the seriousness of this effect is only understood by people that are good and responsible by nature if they aren't addicted. An irresponsible person would barely care about such things which is a shame in itself.

Decrease in overall productivity of individual: Addiction reduces the value that you add to wherever you are engaged career wise as you are mostly distracted with gambling thereby reducing your commitment and dedication to your duties, this might significantly reduce the overall company productivity and lead to job loss.
A person who gets addicted to gambling will leave their career shortly after it. The biggest reason for that is that they don't want to spend their time anywhere else other than gambling, even if they force themselves to it, as you said, their mind wouldn't be present where they are.

violence : most gambling addicts are prone to violent behaviors owing to anger issues from much losses and this might greatly affect his relationship with his immediate family and people around him who might start seeing him as a wild animal.
Well, it's true in some cases where the addict lacks basic manners and is a type of person who gets angry very quickly and on small things, and when they are already frustrated and angry because of their losses in gambling, they might take the anger out on other people since they can't do it on the casino house.

Let love lead
That negative impression from children that sees a gambler as an example and they want to be like them when they grow up. First, it's about the money that they're showing to them and thinking that gamblers earn unlimited amount of money and that's why they want to be like them when they grow up. That's a very wrong description on how they want to be as they grow older and not a perfect example to start with. And what's bad on this is that it won't just be your children that will look up on you but also the other kid relatives that you have that you've been showing goodness on them just because you're happy to give them gifts. It might come from their mouths that they want to be like you as they old. But as a responsible gambler, you have to counter them with words and answer politely that they have to be better and look for something else as their future career.
Children pick up attitudes from their parents or guardians easily and being young, they don't have the decision making capacity to decipher between good and evil, their confidence and trust in their parents will make them believe that anything they perceive you doing is the right thing.

Most gambling addicts have little or no time to engage their children in meaningful discussions to ensure they're on the right track of life. Most are always concerned with their own gambling satisfaction which breeds negligence on children and they will end up making wrong decisions in life.

Some of them who later get the right inspiration and turn from their home learned habit turns out bitter with their father, and most times detests their father for spoiling their childhood.

....

it's like when you smoke in front of your children or relatives, they will think that smoking is not a bad thing because they see that you smoke in front of them and you look cool and very manly. this will inspire these kids to smoke when they are teenagers, because they think that it is cool and there is no problem with it. likewise with gambling, it's best not to show your gambling to your children or relatives, because they are small children and they will see that your gambling is something that can give them money and give them pleasure. and maybe because of that motivation, they will start gambling from a young age and it will interfere with their growth and education because they shouldn't become gamblers from that young age.

it will really be a big problem staying around family that doesn't encourage gambling because they are definitely going to stereotype such person and will most likely push such person away because they feel such person is not a responsible person and will mess with his finance and by extension their own finance aswell which has in turn affected them,  but then whenever some one is observed to be addicted to something in any form it's usually better if they start in time to get help for such person both professionally or other way so that such a person don't get to the point they will be seen as out of control.

Gamblers or generally people who are involved in one habits or the other that could be addictive, shouldn't wait until they are sent out of their home or they have become a problem to the society before they will be able to seek help because at such point it becomes difficult to help them.

I do not think anybody's family will tolerate gambling addiction because of the dangers it comes with, and they will not even in any way trust the person because gambling addicts are also become involved with drugs There Just very few gamblers that you will notice that are not into drugs, and that is why the family members will try as much as possible not to have anything to do with people like that, so self might start stealing, if they continue to gamble and they don't get what they are supposed to get in gambling they will start stealing peoples property.  and to some extent, I don't blame people who see people who are addicts as being irresponsible because the habits they show are those of a person who is responsible.

The problem with addiction is that it will first destroy your finances and then go for your mental health, and if you are finished financially then where will you start from am sure there are people who have lost everything just because of their addiction, and if people like that they serious need help and might even need a therapist for them to recover their sanity and will find it difficult to stop if not helped.
Any sort of addiction can ruin the spirit and money. However, appropriate enjoyment must be distinguished from dangerous addiction. Not all gamblers become addicted. Gamblers set limitations to keep it fun and safe.

Addiction isnt a solo problem. Its typically a sign of deeper issues and requires compassionate care, not exclusion. Dismissing addicts as irresponsible simplifies a complex situation. True, unregulated gambling can be destructive, but blame doesnt help. It requires empathy, support, and professional assistance.

Promote moderation and awareness by supporting fun gambling. Its about knowing the hazards and stopping. The narrative should emphasize both the pros and cons of healthy, controlled gambling.

That is a tragic reality faced by many people struggling with addiction, as well as their families. The stigma and lack of understanding surrounding addiction often lead to isolation and rejection rather than the support and assistance that individuals desperately need. Indeed, being cast out by family members can exacerbate feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, and despair for those grappling with addiction. Without a supportive network to turn to, pople may feel as though they have no way out of their predicament, increasing the risk of harmful behaviors and, tragically, even suicide.

Perhaps family members the ones who recognize the signs of addiction and intervene with empathy, compassion, and professional assistance. Rather than shunning or ostracizing the individual, offering support, guidance, and access to appropriate treatment resources can make a significant difference in helping them overcome their addiction and rebuild their lives. By fostering an environment of understanding, acceptance, and solidarity, families can play a vital role in the recovery journey of their loved ones.
Those whose families are kicked out because they have serious problems such as addiction will feel alone and will not have the strength to live their days or solve their problems because they feel that no one wants to help them. They will be even more desperate when everyone by their side, including their friends, leaves, leaving them alone, so they won't be able to think clearly and will only think about ending their fate. Maybe that is the last choice they will take when they feel they can no longer survive all their problems. That's why they need help so they don't feel alone in solving their problems, especially if they regret their actions and want to fix them.

Family members can recognize the signs of gambling addiction so they can start approaching the gambling addict and help him solve his gambling addiction problem. This will give the addict the strength to be able to solve the problem and get back on his feet so that he can undergo healing therapy for his gambling addiction because he has support from his family. By offering this help, the gambling addict will not feel alone in struggling to cure his gambling addiction and can undergo therapy sessions to cure his gambling addiction. If everyone can provide support and solidarity and understand the condition of the gambling addict, the gambling addict will be able to cure his gambling addiction and get the opportunity to continue his life in a better way.

your contributions are very much welcome as we learn together the many demerits of gambling addiction to inform both those currently addicted and intending addicts of the dangers of that irrational lifestyle.

I agreed with some of the points mentioned and explained but this particular one caught my attention. I understand that majority of gamblers have anger issue whenever they experience loses. That violence is not only applicable to gamble addicts but to almost all the gamblers. And again, you don't need to lose much before you can be addressed as a gamble addict. In fact, you can be a regular winner and still be addict if you can not control your gamble habit. A gamble addict doesn't necessarily have to be someone who gamble often or lose often but it's all about the negative impact gambling is having on their life.

One cannot cope with this problem alone. A financial problem is where all others begin; if an addicted gambler loses money first, he may start looking for more. It is not uncommon for money to be stolen from relatives and family members. This is truly terrible and this is a strong addiction if it comes to such a thing that a player violates such moral standards. It can also get to the point where the children of this player may be left without new things and toys because of this. In this case, the player must be sent for treatment, because the well-being of the children is at risk. Imagine what must be happening in this guy’s brain if he did something like this. He seems to be obsessed with the game, these are very serious psychological problems. And I’m afraid that even after undergoing compulsory treatment, he could relapse at any moment.

You're pointing out some harsh realities, but let's avoid generalizing about everyone. It's critical to realize that addiction to gambling is a problem, just like any other. Sure, it destroys money and mental health, but is anyone really sympathetic? They require assistance, not seclusion. Sure, trust is broken, but understanding, not contempt, is the first step toward repairing it

The idea that all gamblers are drug addicts is untrue. This misconception causes more harm than good since it draws attention away from the true problem, which is addiction. Here, families are really important. Rather than abandoning their loved ones, parents ought to direct them into expert assistance. There are rehabilitation programs, support groups, and therapists available to assist. Recall that healing is a journey, and going it alone is more difficult

Whether an addict or not, it's totally wrong and not advisable to gamble in front of children or infants. Children tend to emulate their parents or immediate guardians pretty fast and whatever thing you choose to expose them to is what they'll tend to grow up with, this is why it's wrong to gamble or even speak of gambling in their presence ( whether an addict or not) else they'll start harboring the idea and little by little, they'll start nurturing the idea and before you know it, they'll start to practice it in one way or the other, and when it gets to that point, the idea is already registered in their young mind and they'll grow up with that mentality.

It's just like saying don't drink irresponsibly or get drunk in front of kids rather than saying don't drink at all in front of kids.

I would have agreed wholly with your opinion before as I once thought along the same lines as you do now.
I thought gambling in front of your kids could deposit in them, the thoughts of gambling someday themselves. But apparently, a good number of young kids aren’t as interested in gambling as I thought. And even if they were somewhat get interested later on, it doesn’t really mean they’re going to be irresponsible about it.

If what we’re doing is legal and we’re being matured, considerate and responsible about our behaviors and actions, there is little to no reason to hide it from your family(kids included). If ever they also get interested, they’re going to be matured and responsible as well having watched you over the years.

Well, if your families and friends are not used to having accompanying people who are addicted to any sort of gambling or drugs, you won't be tolerated and the worst-case scenario is you will be kicked out of home since they can no longer control you or you cause more harm than giving any benefits to them. when you ask those homeless who were used to living with their families, their answers are almost the same, they were kicked out because they could not be under control anymore and they don't listen to anybody inside their home, and at the end, they were force to be homeless and others are further drone to their addictions because of it and only a few of them wanted to change for the better.
