I don’t want to be called hypocrite but being a former gambling addict(FORMER because i already passed that time,and now i am just an occasional gambler) i have encountered lots of bad things in this so i can vouch that this will only brings troubles if you continue to become one

You're right about the profiting and feelings to be the same but the reason behind taking a break is for gambler to have a genuine thinking which will literally help him the right thing to do next maybe to continue, quit or the strategy which could help him win.

You are so right, heavy addicts tend to believe that their next win is always around the corner. The responsible thing to do is set aside a budget each week of money that you can lose without any problems.
