Do not get discouraged, a few days are lost, but others are won and won big! The important thing is to raise your head and move forward, life gives many opportunities to get up and if life gives those opportunities believe me the game will also give them! Wink

So sad that you have losed money. To be honest you had losed due to your greedy nature. At the beginning you were in profits. So that time you have should play patiently. But instead of it you become greedy and took more risk in order to gain more money. Eventually you had losed everything your hard work money. Really you didn't use your brain that time, you just used your money. But after lose then you are using your brain, in a result you are losing both your brain and money. So don't take high risk, invest what you can afford lose.

Gambling is not meant to enrich the players, but the casino owners. Please seek professional help before it's too late.
This is indeed true, it's not for us to make money but for them.
The edge will eat our bankroll in the long run, that's the reality so we should understand our chances in gambling and not be too desperate to win despite not having a chance. There are people who make money in gambling but it's very few, majority of gamblers still loss and you are lucky if you are belong to the few.

this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided.

That will be a big mistake for gamblers to chase their losses even if they know that they are already losses in a big amount. I hope that you know the mistake so you didn't make the same mistake and it's better to avoid playing gambling for a while because I am sure that you still get the pain of your lose. Right now, you need to take a rest and search for the other activities, or you can try to search for a job to cover your daily needs.

Nothing is fine when you have lost $500 at the beginning, you continue that which means you cannot control yourself when you suffer a losing streak.
that's true, bad decision if only following the desire to quickly restore the previous losing
better to rest for a while :v

Nothing is fine when you have lost $500 at the beginning, you continue that which means you cannot control yourself when you suffer a losing streak. If I'm in that position, then I'll leave because I realize it's not a good day for me. I passed this kind of incident in the past, so with that experience, right now I'm just gambling carefully. As long as you have control in gambling, I'm sure gambling won't eat your brain and money.

Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad
I don't see any big disadvantage happening in my life style and my health after using gambling because if we use it with some limitation definitely it will be more helpful way of money making but most of the people are addicted to eat this will be leads to some changes that you are mentioned in your topic.
I agree.Gambling will not make our lives miserable if we play it with limits. But for those people who always long for instant profits and think that gambling will be a good outlet, then it would be a big mistake. No one wins in gambling in the long term so better to play it for entertainment purposes. And once you lose in gmabling, then take a break.Because if you keep chasing your losses, you will only lose even more.

I think gambling addiction is not as terrible as drug or liquor addicts. there is no need for rehabilitation or psychiatric support,
I think all players have been addicts either extreme or ordinary, but many of them escaped it because of their willingness?

all addiction are the same and being addicted to anything is bad and dangerous because you are out of your mind .

of course there is . heavily addicted person needs a serious treatement before their condition gets worst .

Wow, that's tough. I think it's somewhat recent also, basing on your post.

I have a similar situation that I have tried to chase some losses, and I did manage to get it, but I wasn't satisfied. I was greedy, and that's the moment I knew, I effed up. It's not a great feeling and would never be enough to return to the original state. As you said, I think a lot of people are suffering like this. Maybe it's in human nature, and we cannot escape it. All we have to do now is to save money instead of gambling or invest in the correct things, and not entertainment.
This is a normal action of a typical gambler,to chase always for a win even if he got won big already still they are finding bigger.the thing is before we go to gamble we must put limitations in our mind so after that limits you will go home not empty handed

But i love what you said on the last part that we should invest in much good things than gambling

Gambling can eat your brain and money only if you have become addicted and haven't realized it yet. Your brain in this phase does not think of anything else except gambling. So you keep betting and losing money only at this stage as your brain does not think correctly. The only solution is to seek professional help at this stage.
When we didn't realize it we are ot going to seek help from anyone else, maybe people will help from others only to ask money to play more and more when they are addicted this much.
By professional help I mean to go to centers which are specialized in rehabiliting people who are addicted this much and I do not mean to ask or borrow money to gamble more which will further make the situation worse.

Even when that person did not realize what he is doing, his friends and family should tell him to go and ask for professional help in a center which is specialized in rehabiliting people from gambling.

A coin has two sides. For someone gambling turn to mind and wallet crushing and to other ones gambling is a teacher of logical decisions and strategy. Just like with computer games. The thing is not to take too much.
Of a truth to me gambling is a two choices.  You should understand that you are either making it or losing it.  As a newbies in will advise people to study the risk and reward first before putting your fund into gambling. If you take it too much you will be frustrated.

But the problem is they never study to search about the risk and the rewards because they visit the gambling places because of their friends ask them to join. And once that person comes to the gambling area, soon or later, he will lose his money and will make him frustrated as you say. People are too late to learn about the risk in gambling because they feel have fun in gambling games, but soon, after they lose, they will finally realize that they never learn from other people experience.

That's why it's important to play with some rules...

*Never gamble with money that you are not ready to lose.
*set a goal because if you don't have a goal, then is hard to know when to stop.
*If you don't feel good or aren't having fun, better take a walk.

Sorry for your lose. I'm sure you will be eating yourself all the time by blaming yourself. It is really hard to get through loses, it will be a lesson for you and also for those who've read your story. It is true that the more you are chasing your loses, the chances are your are gonna lose more because your brain is no longer working and you are just focusing on your loses and not on the opportunities.

The only amount of brain needed is to decide where to stop.

So.. no, not much brain is necessary for this.
And if one knows where to stop, also the amounts of money played / lost are in common sense limits (common sense which depends on each and every one's pocket size).

Eating your brain and money happens when addiction comes in. And it's the same with all kind of addictions. And it can end bad.
The sad truth is that way too many players simply don't know where to stop.

Playing gambling is clearly needed by your brain and money because it will control you will always play gambling, and without a strong foundation of expertise you just play silly.
Winning gambling is only a lucky factor that will trigger you to continue playing which makes you become an addict and in the end you will lose everything.

Lucky for me, I didn't get addicted in gambling because of lack of funds but gambling consumes your brain and money bit by bit. Every time you go gamble, your chances of getting addicted into it will become higher.

If you got addicted into it, I think the best thing in order to stop yourself is to consult someone who can rehabilitate yourself. You must have a mindset too that you need to stop gambling so that you will totally stop it. Your friends and relatives can help you too.
