We are in a lucky situation wherein we already realized that we are slowly being eaten by gambling and our greediness to win a lot of money out of it. In the past, I am also so close to being addicted to gambling though don't get me wrong, I already lost a lot of money and I quickly realize that I need to stop. I am not that addicted but it is still hard to stop. I needed the help of my family especially my wife, I want to stop because of them since they are also the reason why I want to earn the money.

Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

Hey this is a sad story op and I really liked the fact despite the loss you’re able to stay strong, I’m positive with this attitude you’ll be able to earn back your money soon. I feel it’s harsh to say but you need to understand the basic guidelines of gambling, never play with the money you can’t afford to loose. Also lastly keep your greed in check, and you’ll not suffer losses like this.

If you are in a lossing streak then that's the time you should refrain from doing gambling. Don't be too full of yourself that you are going to win even if luck is not on your side. That's addiction if you continue to gamble even in a lossing streak.
Always put in mind that gambling is not just an easy way to have profit and of course don't rely on this kind of money earning. The hardest part is what just like OP said eating your brain and money, that is the worst thing ever happen if you can't control your self in gambling.
If you are losing a small amount on gambling on that day you can stop instead of chasing on it, that what we called greediness.

I don't really have experience with gambling but I do know a lot of stories about it.

My friends usually tell me stories about his experiences about it and it is really awful. The first time he realized that he is addicted to gambling is the time that he lost a lot of money and even his family. Getting addicted to something is really hard, he said to me. He is also addicted to drugs and liquor at that time, what a way to waste my life he told me. I just answer him that it is not late, he still has time to change.

Seek help. That's all I can say. And I mean professional help. Treat it like a clinical condition, not a psychological one. I don't have an addiction (or I do, but I have limits to what I lose) so I don't know how it feels even if I do my best to understand.

We can all offer words but we're not professional people who treat this addiction.

All I can say also is, surround yourself with friends who don't gamble. Just try not to be tempted.

That was tough mate, it's a big loss for sure because that's out of your budget and you work hard for that money.
You are brave and honest enough to share your experience, I guess everyone can also learn from you and they should not risk a big amount
in gambling, regret always do come in the end but you are right, life must continue, we can correct our mistakes while we are still alive, we loss some
but definitely we can make some in crypto if we change our method of risking money, probably it should not be gambling.

I think you are now addicted to gambling try to refresh your mind first. Get out and smell some fresh air,  meet some friends. It may help you recover from addictiveness.

Winning or losing gambling will certainly make people addicted to that game until they get what they want or feel bored. Everyone must know the loss that he will get when losing a streak, so as not to continue thinking to the brain. If it keeps thinking in your brain it will certainly make you motivated to play again, you also have to think about your limits when playing.
Well said, gambling without any prior understanding will surely lead to addiction. In the opening post it is said that he has won in the first event, following the same he began to loss. First event win happens with majority of the users, this isn't planned but a coincidence. When he began to lose he hasn't taken a break which is the mistake. If he had taken a break, he would've decided to quit.
That's too bad for him because he didn't realize that he was getting greedy just to win and as what you have said he hasn't taken a break in continuously losing and that was a very big mistake after all.

Everyone who goes to a casino or log in to an online casino want's to win, that includes me, however what makes others different from the rest of the gamblers out there is there are players who just want to play, entertain themselves or kill time. They don't have a goal on how much they wan't to win, they just wan't to have fun and the money that they will spend is just enough, enough that if ever they lost it all, they still go home with a smile.

The worst is when you want to recover your losses. When you are in a bad luck and are not having fun anymore, just give it a break. Withdrawal your money, accept your loss and come back some other day to have more fun.

Don't try to get back the money you lost, or you will end up losing more (probably)

Well, in most cases the people behave opposite to this. When they lose a game in gambling, they eagerly wanted to cover the loss. So they bring more money in gambling with the hope that this time they will win and their loses will be recovered, but then again it does not happen and they again lose. If this happens repeatedly, one can lose a big amount of money in gambling.

When reality strike, you will finally realized that losing your hard earned money into something that just make you addicted is more regretful than losing it in some other form, chasing aggressively will make you lose more than what you allocated to, learned from that and start changing your ideas about gambling.

It's enjoyable if treated right but more on regretful when aggressions begin to conquered your mindset.

-snip-

I've into gambling before and at first it's really fun because you can deposit and withdraw in an instant and also there are different types of games from card games, roulettes, live betting, sports betting, jackpot machine and virtual casino/racing games. In other words you will not get bored and wanting to use all the different casino games and look at what fits you and when you are earning you're going to be greedy and greedy until you hit the losing streaks and wanted to recover and recover until you lost all your money/investment.

And just like what happened to you... I get addicted and when I don't have anything I will realize the value of all the money/crypto that i've wasted. Every gambler should know his/her limitation in order to avoid future damage/risk.

Bottom line is take a break if you find yourself in a dry spell.
There is nothing that is making us gamble and you are lucky it was only 3000$ that you lost.
The first time my best friend gambled he lost more then he could afford and had to explain it to his wife.
When I loose its only a small amount of money so I am not in the same position as you.

That's the mistake that every user does while they're new to the gambling. They don't analyze about the good and the negative effects. From the post it is clear that he have accompanied his friend, which is good. At the same time he should be clear about the games as well the winning probabilities and losing chances. Just because you won the first game can't expect the same to happen longer.
