When I'm having either a big win or a big loss or perhaps certain gambling issues, somehow it stays on my mind for a while. It doesn't really give me sleepless nights, but it sometimes goes back. Even until now, there are certain gambling memories that I can't forget. Not all of them are happy ones.

But if gambling will give somebody sleepless nights, that would be worrisome. I think it is better for the gambler to stay away. It might grow worse.

Anyone experienced or suffered from this, whether from winning or from losing where a particular gambling session keeps staying in your mind and you'll having sleeplessness thinking about that particular session over and over again, the same bet keeps repeating over and over again and you keep asking yourself what if you do the opposite.
I'm glad I overcome this and I see to it now that whenever I'm login off to casinos I'm playing I will not think about it whether I lose or win.
It has become commonplace when gambling, you will always find things to win or lose, if you don't want to do that maybe you can get out of gambling and try to play other games such as gardening or something else. Gambling is a place that has a high risk because it makes you rich instantly or poor instantly, it all depends on your risk.

This is happening for those events that are new to us and unforgettable experiences. It's not just particular in gambling but also in other things that has surprised us.

Good to know that you're able to overcome it because it becomes a trauma if it's a bad experience and you can't forget about it. Until going to the point of affecting your sleep.

That only means that it's no longer healthy for you to do it again.

There are sessions that are hard to forget sometimes huge amounts of money won or lost, sometimes almost hitting the jackpot, if you love gambling and you are emotionally attached there will be times that some gambling sessions stay on your mind especially when you lose a big amount of money and you feel depressed losing that amount, the most important thing is you can overcome it and you can go back to normal life again.
There are indeed things which cant really be forgotten but it would really be mostly into those winning times and would ignore the losses which this kind of impression or emotion
will really be molding up that kind of interest to play even more since you do really love the feeling on getting wins or profits which do really give some boost up
which is something our body couldnt really able to forget nor resist and thats the main reason on why we do keep coming back despite of losing in long run.

This usually happens when the gambler avoids a bet to not risk losing his money, so he go away from the casino or website, but he can't just forget it, because it's like a temptation hiting inside his mind all the time, telling him what if he gambled that money and won the prize, what he could do with such amount of cash and how it would change his night, weekend or his life for better.

I'm glad I overcome this and I see to it now that whenever I'm login off to casinos I'm playing I will not think about it whether I lose or win.
It's really hard to calm down those thoughts, but thankfully you did it for your own good! Anyway, keep watching yourself and your gambling habits, as we never know when our emotions are going to be exacerbated again.

I might think about circumstances, if I couldn't explain what happened or why I won/lost. Why did the NFL team kick the field goal from a bad position, rather than a better one in mid field. Why are athletes performing so far below their normal level. What caused them to utilize a horrible game plan. Why did the coach make a terrible call.

But the second I can figure out what happened. What the motive behind things was. There's no reason to think about it anymore.

Much of it can be attributed to incompetence. Some teams play so many games on the road with some drama and have so many things to keep track of. Its like juggling and balls are going to get dropped, I guess.

As an ordinary human being, if lose a gamble then it's impossible to forget that in a short time. I often experience this when I lose gambling with capital above $100, I will definitely be very dizzy and can't sleep with that loss because I still have debts that I have to pay. but for now I can control myself not to continue gambling if my capital has run out more than $50.

If you gamble for fun, you wouldn't only just have a wonderful night, you will sleep and forget about the money you have wage but by the time you wage something that is too large for the fainted mind to handle, that is when you start having this thought if you have made the right move wrong move.
If I wager my money on any game and it didn't work out, I will change the strategy to see if I'm doing the wrong or the right thing as there no harm in trying but we should also remember that gambling is all about luck sometimes.

This is why I only wager what I can truly afford. So I don't have to regret or blame myself if I lose my bet if in case I am heavily relying on that money. I learned that when I am in gambling, I don't need to take this as personal but move on in every bet I will make. If you will get attached to it, you will be restless and it may affect you mentally. So at this point, I couldn't remember any big or small bet that I have that I feel I became sleepless. Because if that happens, it means, I need to get out of gambling for the sake of my sanity.

It happens to me when I made a mistake and lose the chance of winning some money, it keeps me awake for almost 2 days but after that, I overcome it and just accept the fact that I didn’t win because of being too careless. Honestly, I also feel this every time I trade and lose money as well, I believe this is all part of human nature and acceptance is the key for you to be able to move on and try again.

If you do gamble for money then you would likely to have this kind of mindset on which you are trying to prove out that it does really work on whatever strategy you've been using and you will really be

justifying those things to work as long you do have the funds or capital on your pocket but on the time that you had lost it all then this is where regret do starts and keeps whining whenever you do make yourself
get wrecked.

Move on directly without having second thoughts on playing back once you had lost.If you dont like to mess up your finances with gambling then better to have
a good control of it.

It has happened few times during last year, plinko seed was so bad even after dropping over 100k balls on $0.5 bet size. The average hitting ratio is 1:32k for 1000x plinko while I have gone over 100k nonce in a day. Not much trouble to sleep but catching that 1000x was on my mind so I didn't want to do anything else except keep thinking about it.
Generally, giving up at any point is better than chasing your losses since there is no guarantee user will be able to recover.

If you are ever having these sorts of thoughts after gambling it's probably best to take a long break from this activity. The only scenario where it might be helpful to do this sort of analysis, usually through an organized and statistical based approach, is when you're playing a game like poker where you might be seeking to approve your play by shutting down poor decisions. If you're in a position where gambling is interrupting your sleep patterns then something is going wrong - either you put too much money into it which you cannot afford, or you do not understand how the laws of probability work within your game of choice. Certain games have a fixed win/lose ratio that you will succumb to over time and other games might have a natural variance that you must learn to tolerate.

Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind.
If you talk about a session in the world of gambling, my understanding of that session is divided into two, one: you are really lucky and have positives every time you engage in casino games, first session is better for all gamblers, you are lucky every time you place a bet, second: where you are always experiencing unrelenting misfortune, if you bet, the money you bet is incalculable loss, this session will make most gamblers feel depressed and angry.

I'm glad I overcome this and I see to it now that whenever I'm login off to casinos I'm playing I will not think about it whether I lose or win.
Maybe, this kind of trait is rarely owned by gamblers, you are lucky to be able to overcome it, but most people want to bet in casinos want to win as much as possible, lose is not expected, although both often experience, the point is: rarely people think like you, although many say gambling as entertainment and pleasure, hope to win there must be, humans and lust.

I will continue to think about my gambling results for a week if the result I get is a big loss, even though it's no longer useful, by continuing to think about it, I'm evaluating myself and trying to avoid things that cause me to lose in gambling at that time

everyone needs time to think and reflect, so that mistakes that happened in the past don't happen again

From small amount I used to play slowly and make it atleast triple the amount risked. This means with $50 wallet balance, somehow I'll make it $150. Further I feel satisfied and I allocate the funds for some needs, particularly to pay the interest on loans. Then comes a mind, why can't we make it $500 when we're able to make $50 to $150. This makes me end my wallet balance.

Honestly: No!
Well but I have been having thoughts about using all my savings for a quick crash game and making it double but I do understand how scary it is and how it's not really feasible so am not going to do that.

Other than that if I am having a lingering experience then I would definitely prefer to take a step back and meditate for a while because it's really essential that you train your mind right! It's either winning/loosing not sitting and thinking forever that might lead to some addiction issues. There is something I call the "Guilt Gambling" where you continue to gamble in scope of recovering I hope the thoughts are not regarding that 'for anyone'.

Sure it is in both ways. In joy for winning and in sorrow for losing  Shocked Roll Eyes Grin

the same bet keeps repeating over and over again and you keep asking yourself what if you do the opposite.

This temptation usually will happen when you are always losing your bets or games. The courage, experience, knowledge, skill and everything you know on how to play to win disappears and you keep wondering whether to do the opposite. This happened to me a long time ago.
What you need to understand in this is that some days, weeks or months comes out that way and that whatever you do at those times won't work. The best to do then is take a break.  Grin

I will congratulate you and clap for you for coming out of your own addition. It will because of the addition you have in gambling that makes you restive over it. One of the reasons for being addicted to gambling is not just that you want to play for the fun of it but because of the money that involves in it either you want to win more adding to what you have already won or because you are chasing to win back the money you have lost and that makes you locked in the casino, in fact you remember every trace of the way you played and lost. I have known this with experience lol, not always a good story with addition, you lose more rather than the fun in it.

I have been gambling since 2014. I become addicted. It affected me. I stopped gambling in 2019. I gambled again in 2020. I lose but I did not get addicted and I stopped for another one year. I started to gamble again in 2021. All I noticed is that there is nothing profession about gambling than to just have fun with the one you have knowledge about, gambling with just little amount which is very important.

Chasing to win by all means is responsible for sometimes when we lose in gambling. There are times that we gamble unreasonable depending on luck solely and this never comes to our favour. Example betting on big odds even when it is certain that the club will lose.

I think that everyone who has experienced the excitement of betting on sports events or playing in a casino has had dreams about it.
I haven't had any dreams about betting but a lot about how I play slot machines, I hit the Jackpot but it turns out it's a mistake. A very terrible dream.  Undecided
