Hab mir gerade die letzen Seiten hier durchgelesen, mal mir die Wichtigsten sachen rausgeschrieben.

Passive Kühlung: Mit kabelbinder auf Prozessor Kühler gebunden ähnlich dem Bild.

Falls der Kabelbinder nicht abbrennt sollte das funktionieren ohne Lüfter.
Wobei, bei ohne Lüfter, bin ich mir nicht sicher, nach einer knappen Stunde ist der Kühler handwarm.

Danke platti für deine Anleitung fürs Raspberry, ich kanns aber leider erst frühestens Dienstag probieren,
den bei den Hubs scheint das Raspberry echt eigen zu sein.

hab auch zwei ohne kühlung und 1 mit kühlung laufen.
bei mir ists kein unterschied... hw ist sehr gering...
diese fehler kommen eher dann, wenn er zu wenig strom bekommt, also wenn auf einem nicht aktiven usb
hub 3 usb miner angeschlossen sind.
bei zwei scheint es völlig auszureichen und läuft super.

ausserdem schaffen meine alle jeweils zirka avg.:355 mh/s. durchgehend.

Ich kann nur feststellen, dass die an einem extra versorgten Hub schneller hashen als jene die nur an einem Rechner hängen. Kühlung oder nicht macht für die Geschwindigkeit hier nach 10h jeweils keinen Unterschied.

Ich habe einen auch paar h ohne Kühlung laufen lassen. Kann ich nicht bestätigen.
Muss ich wohl noch mal testen.

Ohne aktive Kühlung geht die HW rate sehr schnell hoch

Or try with the new cgminer 3.2.1and zedig driver

I've notices a similar behavior. diff 1 gave me approx. 1% HW and diff 2... 2%.

Edit: I think it's nothing to worry about. Even if I would agree with the statement headsink design is not optimal at all, due to the fact surface area matters. Wink

Tests with higher diffuculty show many HW errors (~20%):

(5s):164.1M (avg):363.5Mh/s | A:318 R:0 HW:66 U:0.3/m WU:4.7/m

This is at diff 16

I actually think the out-of-the-box heatsink makes it worse, we'll see in the "long" run.

It is not increasing the surface, I told friedcat; his reply was: "It' won't trap the heat since the surface between aluminum and air is still more effective in transferring heat than the surface between the non-metal PCB backside and air. Especially when there are any airflow."

Maybe he's right, but I like silence.

What this needs is a proper top mounted heatsink, like an inverse pyramid from the BE 100 chip!

They are all connected to a PC.

After one day I had close to 4% HW but as of now I have 1,95% HW... strange.

These chips are fun but they won't last, really poor heat design.

My HW is slowly creeping up, 0,85%... I give it one month.

0.85% = HW:96 / A:11323 is that the right calculation (bfgminer)?
