HW/A is 0.8 again... we'll see after a couple of days. You can feel the air movement above the HS, I hope it's doing something atleast.
So no thermal paste or tape?
There is something between PCB and aluminium. Non sticky thermal pad probably.
Active cooling both sides. HW errors down to 0.5%

Thanks, rupy. But why did you took off the original (lovely) heatsink? With the 2, wouldn't be better?

Where did you bought the heatsink? I think the ASIC of the USB Gizmo is 6mm x 6mm, am I right?

So, ich habe mir jetzt die sourcen für den cgminer 3.1.1 gezogen und alles nochmals neu komiliert. Läuft bisher stabiler als die Version 3.2.0, die ich vorher am Laufen hatte. Jedenfalls gibt es keine ZOMBIEs mehr ;-) Die Anzahl der HW Errors dürfte von der wackeligen Stromversorgung herrühren. Daran wird sich erst was ändern, wenn ich mir endlich einen passenden aktiven USB Hub besorgt habe.

Wo kriegt man eigentlich die Sourcen für den bfgminer 3.0.99 her? Also die Version, die die USB ASIC miner überhaupt erkennt?
Und noch was: wo kann man denn die Temperatur der Miner abfragen? Steht das irgendwo in cgminer und ich habs nur übersehen oder braucht man dafür ein eigenes Tool?

My 2 USB Gizmos are stable @ 335 MHash/s each, with a RPI/CGMiner 3.2.1 (MinePeon beta from yesterday).
This software version still lacks the web Stats option, but the rest, including the Graphics, is working well.

ASICs halten 100°C aus. Die gehen nicht so schnell kaputt
Did a small experiment, they won't heat up that much. And a little
fan helps a lot. See the plot of the recorded case temperature:

So pauschal lässt sich des nicht sagen. Die blades benötigen Kühlung.
Die usb miner können es ab. Wenn dann machen sie recht schnell schlapp.
Langfristig gesehen dürfte Kühlung die Lebensdauer aber verlängert

apparently they arrived in brazil on June 4th, and are now waiting for customs clearance ...

while you are all mining, my miners are still "in transit from germany to brazil". no news from them ever since June 4th ...
Have you tried to track them @ brazil homepage.
I sent stuff to usa the same day.... arrived few days ago..
