The screw has a flat edge, turn clockwise until the flat edge is at 1-2 oclock

that would be a half turn  to get to 1 or 2 oclock becouse my screw is lower left corner wen you kept the stick up

hey guys,

litle update on my 2 pac the black one , europe

following is just as it arrived, without any adjustments made :

running now 1 1/2 day on 112.50 mhz  at 12.15Ghz without errors, look here http://i65.tinypic.com/2qjw09s.jpg

with this settings : cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:3343 -u myusername -p x  --suggest-diff 32 --gekko-2pac-freq 110

today i am want to adjust the voltage, how do i do that ? very little turning the voltage on the 2pac ?

btw after some resource and checking my USB devices and versions i saw that this 2pac is :

USB Version Supported: 1.10

USB Device Speed:  USB 1.1 Full-speed

i tough that this would be minimal v2.0 or even usb v3.0 ,

how ever, could i get some direction points how to set the voltage ;-)

Yeah it's pretty common and easy to miss. I still make that error myself on occasion.

I'm quite noob so I don't really understand why I'm stuck.  May try a new OS later. Any help/input is appreciated

When testing, I try to shoot for fewer than 2 HW per hour at 100MHz and stock voltage. That's just my own standard for what I'm willing to ship. 4 an hour at 150MHz isn't bad. I forget the formula offhand for figuring percent errors, but as long as your hashrate is about what's expected you probably won't have any trouble.

The green light is tied directly to 5V. Basically just tells you the thing's getting power. The white is linked into the comm lines and flashes every time the chips respond with a nonce. So flashing means it's hashing away. Solid white generally indicates one of your chips is hosed up.

When testing, I try to shoot for fewer than 2 HW per hour at 100MHz and stock voltage. That's just my own standard for what I'm willing to ship. 4 an hour at 150MHz isn't bad. I forget the formula offhand for figuring percent errors, but as long as your hashrate is about what's expected you probably won't have any trouble.

after some time i let cgminer run i see this : Accepted 0ccd5c51 Diff 5.12K/2048 BSD 0

so i see now 1 accepted is that correct ? that should go faster or do i miss here some things  in settings ? ;-)



Most pools use manual and variable difficulty settings per worker.  
Sounds like this pools start off at 2048 for the miner.
If there is a manual setting on the interface, you can set the worker to their lowest value or about 32-ish.
With vardiff, the pool will sense the gap between your accepted shares and adjust it over time.

It doesn't make much difference mathematically since that 5120(5.12K) share there is like a 160 x 32 diff shares.
You just get to see the Accepted message more often.


thank you for explanation , it is clear for me ,  i let it run for some time now about 2 ours at 150 mhz i did not alter the voltage on the 2pac after 2 ours i get 8 hw errors in cgminer , not bad right ?

 You successfully started your miner with cgminer's default settings. That's what the screen output looks like.

Edit: Of course, now that it runs, you may want to experiment with various command-line settings or hardware adjustments (voltage).

hello guys  i have also some troubles here,

first i read the whole post 1 ,

installed the latest cgminer windows version 4.10.0

installed zadig windows driver and installation went oke, i see my 2 pac, now in cg miner i use this line

-> cgminer.exe  -o stratum+tcp://eu.multipool.us:3337 -u kripau.1 -p x  


without the freq settings like : --gekko-2pac-freq 150  

si it is just standard but wen i start the miner all i see is this :   http://i63.tinypic.com/zmf9xu.jpg
and the cursus is just blinking upper left corner

i dont get any accepted? , what i see by others here on the forum posts

i have a powered hub 3 amp plus cooler
green light at the back of the 2 pac and sometimes flickering
could some one point me to the direction pls

Like I said, it has a flat side. This side schould be set to about 3 o`clock. You can try turning it counter clockwise to 2 or 1 o´clock.
But I think the problem is your os. If you are mining on a raspberry pi, then use raspbian. There is a discription for that on post #1. Otherwise use ubuntu. There´s a discription, too. And use all commands exactly like written there. And of course use cgminer from the git folder on post #1 either.

So I just purchased my first 2Pac miner, plugged it in and...nothing.  The LED on the back of the miner is green and the OS recognizes the device but it will not work with cgminer or BGMiner.  

The 1st thing I tried was purchasing a couple of powered hubs, both with output over 2.1a per port, and then I bought a HighRock cable.  Still nothing!  :-(

When running cgminer->USB management->L
Bus 1 Device 10 ID: 10c4:ea60 GekkoScience 2Pac BM1384 Bitcoin Miner inactive.  

Some specifics:
OS: Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon(3.6.7) 64 bit(fresh install)
CGMiner: v 4.10.8(fresh compile)
cmd line: ./cgminer -o {stuff} -u {myuserid} -p {gibberish} --gekko-2pac-freq 150

Any suggestions on things that I should try?

On what positition is your voltage pot? There´s a flat side. Try turning it to 1 or 2 o´clock. 2.1 A is not very much. But usuallly it should start mining a little bit until it goes zombie. And better start with 100 MHz. If that works you can increase.
If that all doesn´t work try raspbian os with the exact commands from post #1. I´m not sure what llinux mint is built on. With a debian distribution like raspbian it definitely works.

My voltage pot?  I'm not really sure how to determine that voltage setting but I assume it's whatever the factory default is.

The USB drivers is probably what you are missing.

I had that as my original installation, including the zadig.akeo.ie USB driver utility, but I couldn't get it to work.  I read a post saying that if you are having issues switch to Linux which is what I did.
