I hate to say this, but at the rate Sidehack is going and with all the time he has wasted on the outdated BM1384 stuff, by the time he gets TO the Bitfury chips to make miners out of them THEY are going to be outdated technology.

would it be a bad idea to say lock the thread? with a "thread to reopen when progress happens after Terminus pod and when chips are available"..

I guess that won't stop the barrage of people PM'ing you about it though..

Electrical engineer. Mining since 2014.
2Pac stick miner is available, but he has said he is still working on the Terminus pod and 16nm Bitfury builds.

Irrelevant without a product to ship
Preorder is available on asicpuppy

You just replied to the guy who makes these devices. He would know if he had made them or not.

Evil beware: We have waffles!
Newb, expect your totally OFF TOPIC post to be removed by the mods. It has nothing to do with the thread's 16nm ASIC design topic.
And is called solo mining - not 'local'. Post in the right areas numnutz.

You've already asked the question once, in the right place. I don't think you provided enough coherent information to get much of an answer, so maybe you should go back over there and elaborate on your problem instead of posting here and way the heck off topic.

It's simple I want examples of local mining that works

this product only funtoin with a pool ?

"local mining that works". Whut?

to really get people going, mention every time someone asking for an update as an update

"New update, Mour Demand! also, I looked at the board when I walked past it to drill more heatsinks"

I'd really like to have a bitfury miner out in time for Christmas.
...

I know sidehack "loves" bugging, not.
But, are there any notable news on this topic? Did you manage to finalize design / driver / software?

Bitcoin FTW!
Some recent good news - I have acquired and will soon have set up and running a CNC drill for working up heatsinks. I have another pick-and-place robot on the way, and made some design and process changes to streamline manufacture. This week I also got some additional part-time help. The end result should be manufacture won't be kicking my butt as hard as it has for the last few months.

Which means I should get some more R&D time and get back to ongoing projects. Specifically the Terminus, the USB hub, and most excitingly Bitfury projects.

I'd really like to have a bitfury miner out in time for Christmas. Worst case, the Terminus BM1384 pod is in mass production by then. It's not nearly as good as a BF pod but still better than nothing.
That would sure make a great Christmas present for all of us! Smiley Keep up the great work, I love listening about all the new happenings with the miner!

I would be interested in buying USB bitcoin miners with efficiency equal or better than 0.3J/GH, and with a sell price of 2.5USD per GH/s or lower.
Can you advance any expected sales date for the "sidehack" announced 700GH/s @ 70W USB miner ??

UPDATED NEWS - 2PAC 2xBM1384 USB STICKMINER SALES IS LIVE - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-sales-closed-gekkoscience-2pac-2x-bm1384-usb-stick-miner-1718358

Pending projects:
 - 20xBM1384 Pod
 - 2xBF16 USB Stick
 - 11xBF16 Pod
 - 33xBF16 S1/3/5-compatible board
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
......
So, I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty excited.

He is pretty tied up with 2PAC  manufacturing  right now.
Next one he, I believe , will focus on his efforts  is BM1384 pod miner manufacturing.

I don't think we will see BF16 stick miner this year.
