Women normally play gamble even in the physical casino halls and also online platforms. Women involving themselves in gambling is not accepted in all the countries. And in some families if a woman found gambling they would not take it likely with the woman. So with the fear of attack by her family members relative the person might hide herself to play gamble. Women play but it not like men as thed op said it.
For all I know, there are some countries in this world where women gambling is just as normal as men gambling, I personally believe have this that it is very normal for women to gamble in places like Las Vegas - A city known all over the world for its huge activity in gambling.
I agree, that stating that women involved in gambling are not acceptable in all countries sounds dumb considering each country has its own culture. As a matter of fact, there are instances where one country finds an activity normal while another country find such action taboo. So it is much better to think and research first before generalizing something especially when we are interactiong with sensible people.
But overall though, I agree with your input, I myself as a man won't dare marry a woman who gambles as a wife, for when I gamble and my wife gambles, I wonder what will become of our children.
Same here, I would like a wife who devotes herself to a spiritual activity rather than leisure and entertainment. It may sound boring but at least I am sure that her decision is mostly leaning forward to morality.
